Gargantuan mushrooms that took ones breath away. The forested areas that spread themselves out, a large river seemed to cut the regions in two parts, the river at first glance was difficult to traverse, but where there is a will, there is a way. There was the sound of footsteps along walking along side the river. He was following the directions another Yladian had given him, the same man he had met in spawn, Galadion. He had informed him to head here if he wished to meet others like him, perhaps forming a party with others to undertake quests, missions and grow stronger. But he was waiting until he arrived to the location - FOR HE FELT LOST! His body wobbled as he walked along what appeared a juttered, rocky edge, his arms spread out to the sides to keep him balanced, the ivory haired Yladian was singing some random words to himself, describing the landscape, and his experiences that he had made going along the way. His body had come to a stop, as he scratched the front of his face, on the navy bang of hair that he had. He was certainly lost. But at the same time he felt this was good for himself. Adventuring was certainly part of the fun. His right hand had moved to his chin, scratching it. The bummer to his situation was that there was no weak animals laying around for him to fire some practice spells, but considering the area he was in, he didn't want to make an enemy of an entire county, be forced away, and perhaps have to even give up on his game time. He let a sigh leave his lips as he crouched towards the ground, he placed a hand towards the flowing river, his fingertips touching it, before pulling them away from the running water. "Woah, that's pretty strong.." He noted, looking to the wet fingertips on his hand. For a moment he remained where he was, before both hands moved to his knees, and pushed him to his feet. His arms stretched out behind him as if he was exhausted. His head tilted back, as he looked to the sun that was setting, a light glow was forming from the mushrooms that were scattered around this section of forestry. His head being brought down to witness the spectacle, he felt his breath catch in the back of his throat. It was simply stunning. Perhaps this was why this route was suggested, the scene before him was magnificent. "I wonder what sights are across this world. I wonder how many more great things I'll see around." He spoke, tilting his head. Yet, during all this time, he couldn't help but scratch the back of his head. He had the strangest feeling that someone, or something was following him nearby, surveying, watching. Like he was prey, he had to focus ahead of him however, for if this man who he met was already there, then he didn't want to be late arriving to him. @Lorelei Varic @Camus Varic @Galadion
Lorelei moved, swiftly, through the branches of the trees, leaping and bounding from branch to branch, grasping vines and smaller branches above her head, at times, when she needed to swing herself across larger gaps between some of the branches beneath her feet. In the short time, she had been a part of Terrasphere, this had quickly become her favored means of travel. So far, it had both managed to help her move, quickly, between some areas and also had helped her to avoid many dangers she, otherwise, would have run into. This area was new, though. The terrain was starting to change. As she made her way through the trees, she was beginning to see very large mushrooms here and there. They were quite interesting. Most all of them at least as big as stepping stones, if not some larger, and, as she moved through the forest, the mushrooms seemed to be becoming larger in size and thicker, in abundance as the trees became thinner in number. It was becoming harder and harder for her preferred method of travel to work, and she wasn't really looking forward to being on the ground again. It wasn't long before the slender Yladian reached a point that she was no longer able to manage the distance between the trees, with as sparse as they had become. Looking around her, she took note of the large mushrooms once more. She knew that in the real world, even, fungi such as these--but smaller--could be dangerous, even deadly. She knew nothing of these, though, and she wasn't certain what to do. Taking a moment to think of what her best course of action might be, she let her eyes scan the scenery before her once more. To her left she could see the banks of a river, it's flowing waters rushing even to the point that she could hear them from her perch. The earth below her seemed welcoming enough, but she didn't trust that there wouldn't be something to come after her inexperienced self. Of course, that possibility held true anywhere, but so far, she had seemed to be safer on the high road, so to speak. As she pondered over her options, she happened to catch the movement of a small animal; a squirrel or something of the like, as it skittered across the top of one of the large mushrooms. She couldn't help but wonder to herself just what weight the things would hold. They did seem rather sturdy to be the fungi that they were. Looking down at one just below her perch on the tree, she decided to give it a try. Grasping the smaller end of the branch she stood on, she lowered herself down, letting her feet touch the top of the mushroom. To her surprise, though the surface did seem to cave some beneath her feet, it held her weight. Even as she released the branch and moved to take a step across it, it continued to do so. It was like walking on a sponge, of sorts. Keeping her balance took her a moment to be able to do, but she managed in short order. Taking a deep breath as she looked out over the next giant mushroom, she took a deep breath, before leaping to its surface. She was surprised to find that she actually bounced a little as she landed. It was a welcomed occurrence, though, as soon she was running across the tops; leaping and bounding over their surfaces as if it was a natural thing to her slender frame. She made her way along the edge of the river in this manner, her eyes scanning the area around her as she moved. Still, she knew not where she was headed, but she was eager to see what she could along the way, as so far this world had not ceased to amaze her. She was in the course of these thoughts when she glimpsed a hint of movement near the edge of the water. She stopped on the top of the mushroom that her feet currently rested against, as she watched the scene before her. Among the now lightly glowing mushrooms, the river's waters flowed freely, though from her perch she could tell the current ran fast and strong and she was sure there were probably things in the water just as dangerous as those on land. What had caught her eye, though, was the movement of a single being at the river's edge. From where she stood, she could make out the features of the male. She could tell he was the same race she was. She was sure the male would notice her eventually, and then there was a chance that she would find herself in a pickle, depending on if he were an aggressive sort or not, but for now, she was simply amazed to have found another one like her. It was enough, even, to draw her attention away from the beautiful glow of the mushrooms around her. Should she wait for him to see her, or make contact first? She pondered over it for a moment, before finally deciding to to simply make her way to the male, her form moving across the tops of the mushrooms once more, before dropping down off of one near the male, just far enough away that if he heard her, she would not be within decent striking range, seeing as she, herself, was still unarmed.
This world was truly amazing! He wanted to see all the glories that this world held for him, which meant traveling. Not everywhere had a path, but that made it all the more exciting for the clever Yladian. Anywhere could be fun if one simply explored, this was a factor that was all the more true for him. He was prone to boredom and thus needed something to keep his interest. What kept his interest didn't matter , it could be the landscape itself, other players or even the animals. He was simple enough to find something to entertain his active mind. Though rather or not said target stayed the subject of his interest for long depended greatly on it. The landscape was ever changing, and the more he ventured the more he could map out the place. His goal within this place was not to just find entertainment, but to map out the whole gaming territory. Like any game he was positive that other areas might be open if one was lucky enough to run into a secret passage or perhaps if they reached a certain level. Wasn't that usually how typical games worked. No this game seemed to work a little differently, it was a smart system. It grew with the player, everything greatly depended on experience. Just like the game of life-- okay maybe better than that. Here he could be what he wished and he easily planned to be. So what if he took pride and enjoyment on the pain of others, he couldn't help himself. Now who would be his next victim? He was traveling by foot, his stick still in his hand. He seemed to cherish said stick, and gladly used it as both a tool and a weapon. He was quite handy with it, though it was nothing compared to a sword. He was the type of person that would tried to steal from another. Wait was that even possible? The thing was the people he had come across thus far didn't have much and even if they did what could a stick actually do to someone who had a sword. Though of course if one would do a sneak attack one could easily knock another out cold and be gone before they even woke up. He was the one who matter and anyone who went against him was simply meant to be grinded to the ground. Though he wouldn't so openly state these thoughts openly. He hummed as he strolled along the newest path he had chosen. He didn't quite know why he had decided upon this melody, but it had just sort of come to him and so he continued to hum it. Then he came across them. Mushrooms and not just any mushrooms they seemed to grow larger and expand for as far as the eye could see. Well this looked like it could be fun. He backed up and quickly he would launch himself upon the mushroom. One might always dream about hoping from giant mushroom to giant mushroom. It was an interesting way to travel, though it lacked blood and screams. 'Just follow the trail of mushrooms and you'll find something interesting.' An internal thought urging him to continue forward. He didn't really need it, but it was nice enough to have. So he would begin to bounce from one mushroom to another. They were seeming to become thicker and thicker the further he went. The surface was strong enough to hold him, not really a surprise there. Mushroom caps were surprisingly strong, well usually it depended on the size. They might be spongy, but because of said surface it was able to absorb impacts. In a way they might actually be decent beds or even punching bags. As he hoped from one cap to another he was analyzing the surrounding before him. One could actually bring someone here and leave them to die. The mushrooms looked toxic enough and he bet anything that the caps was hiding something nasty within them. If timid and normally prey like animals could become predators than what said the planet life wasn't the same here. He could hear running water and if he wasn't mistaken he could see another lean body moving slightly in front of him. Seems like he wasn't the only one who had decided to travel like this. Maybe there was another way, but who had time for that? The mushrooms seemed to be glowing now, well wasn't that a sight. The melody he had been humming seemed to continue , speeding up even as he continued to jump going towards the source of the water. Another person seemed to be there and oh look the other jumper had stopped and he could see her now clearly. Now the one by the river, he wasn't aware of him. The only thing that they all shared in common seemed to be the race but he wasn't quite sure of the other male just yet. He watched as the girl jumped off from the mushroom and he quickly followed her. It wasn't that hard to jump from thing to thing , it didn't take a genius to figure out the lay of land. Now he would bet that there might be some caps of the mushrooms that weren't as thick as the others, they might collapse and it would spell doom to the unlucky person who went down. It was just an analyzation using the basis of real life situations and applying them to this world. He soon jumped off near the girl, on his way there he was thinking on the best way to go about things. 'Go grand' it was a thought. It would be entertaining. "If it isn't the tree-topper Lollie and look we have more company." He smiled at the unknown male, waving the stick at him. The way he waved said stick almost seemed like he was proud of having the stick and wanted to show it off to the world. "This place is amazing" he took in the breathtaking scene. The river looked like it could be home to some fun things. He went closer to it and to the other Yladian, he held no fear or concern at all. "Now who are you" straight and simple to the point. "Name's Camus and that over there would be Lollie" his finger would jerk in the direction of the other. Aside from his upfront behavior it actually seemed like he was friendly. The smile never leaving his lips, all it seemed like was he was simply trying to make conversation.
Ears had twitched. He could hear that someone was nearby him. His suspicions had been correct, someone had certainly followed him, and if they hadn't been following him then they had just happened to come across him as they saw him remaining idle by the river. The male let a breath pass his lips as he felt ears twitch once again hearing someone else approach from behind. His voice booming out. Of course it would have, it was quiet, they were loudest beings in a quiet serence place. Lollie? That wasn't his name. His attention turned to see the two beings nearby him. Cerulean optics scanned them. They were similar to him that they were both Yladians, however, one seemed to be carrying a stick and the other appeared to be an older woman. He sighed pushing himself to his feet, and cracking his neck as he looked to them. "Oh great. A hippy-tree hugger and an old hag." He clicked his tongue. Just as the youth was about to direct the older male and tell him about manners and that if he wanted a name he that he should - give his own - the male had done so. So his estimation was that the woman - Lollie - had already met with this man prior to meeting here. Perhaps this was part of Galadions plan to bring the people of Yladia home. He let a breath leave his lips. "I'm Gwelundir." He spoke, before lifting a hand and pointing to them. "Have you met Galadion? Is this why you're here?" He said, referring to the older Yladian who had helped him with a Dire Wolf as he spawned in. The male was wearing the same clothing he had spawned into the world in, it offered minimal protection. Just like any clothing would, if a claw caught it while moving it would rip and probably catch the claw or blade. But besides that, it offered nothing but a fashionable appeasing look. Gwelundir noted there was a distance between all three. The male who introduced himself and refrained from hiding had a stick in hand. A simple item, but how was he to know if it wasn't enchanted or not? The female in the back seemed to remain where she was. Perhaps she was just blindly following, or perhaps Galadion had sent someone to pick him up? He shrugged, before throwing his hands behind his head, resting his head against interlocking fingers. "Well, I'm heading up this way. There's an abandoned town. It'll be a good place to rest up, and figure out where I'm headed next. If you're also looking for Galadion, you're welcome to join me."
Galadion had been solo playing in the virtual world of Terrasphere for awhile now, while he had gone on some quest that involved other players here and there for the most part he enjoyed his solitude out in the wilds. That was where he felt the most at home in this place, out there away from everyone else taking in the sights that he had never seen before going to new places. These were the experiences that had drove him to fist come here to this mysterious and beautiful virtual world and today was no different. Once again he found himself out in the dangerous wastelands that made up the Yladian region of Esuilus, it was in these wilds that he had been spending most of his time these days. In the real world he was a fantasy book writer and he first came to this world as a way to better understand the characters that he brought to life in his books, what drove them to do the selfless acts of heroism, what drove the courageous man to stand up and defend the weak was it his honor or was it glory? These were the questions that he had come here to find answers to, and what better way to find those answers than experiencing those situation for himself? However as time went on what he experienced and witnessed in this world slowly began to change why he was here. No longer was it just about bettering himself as a writer, he had begun to actually care about this world, the races in it and the people who called it home. None more so than the people of the race that he had chosen to play as, the Yladian Elves. They had suffered more than most of the other races, the only one that really compared to their hardships were the Faerin. The Yladian people were forced out of their homeland by the demonic forces to their northern border and were made to scatter to the winds as refugees, but because they were refugees they were treated as second class citizens while others were captures and outright sold into slavery. This was something that he wanted to do something about. Galadion had been working rather hard on trying to find a way to restore Yladia to its former glory and allow the Yladian people to reclaim their ancestral home. It was a long shot and would be really difficult hunting down and exterminating the demons that roamed its countryside in mass. They say that even a single demon would give even the most seasoned of players a rather difficult fight and there were hundreds if not thousands of them roaming the wastes of Esuilus and Zalra regions that made up Yladia. But he would not be deterred, nor would he loose heart and that was why he was in Esuilus now. At the current moment Galadion in one of the many abandoned villages in the region, sitting inside what had once been an inn but now it was just a ruin. Small versions of the fungal overgrowth grew forth from the walls several sections of which had fallen apart, parts of the ceiling was beginning to collapse in. Sitting there he looked around as he waited for the young Yladian that had saved from a dire wolf when he first appeared in the world.
She cut her eyes towards the tops of the mushrooms, just a moment before the silver-haired male moved past her and jumped down to the ground before her. She didn't have to see his face to know the sound of his voice and those overly dramatic movements of his. And he was still carrying around that damnable stick, too! No introduction was needed for him to herself, and she was already rolling her eyes as she heard him speaking to the other Yladian male. Why was it they kept running into each other, anyway? Was he following her? She couldn't help but wonder at this rate, but then again, he probably felt the same way about her. It did seem rather strange to her that they kept finding themselves in the same areas, but who was she to question what could be the mechanics of the game itself? Shaking her head, as she moved to step closer to the two males, she gave Camus a glare as she stopped at his side and tilted her head at the obviously younger Yladian. “My apologies. My companion -I use the word loosely, seeing as we simply keep winding up in the same places- seems to have lost his manners.” She said as she tilted her head at the younger male. Her mossy-toned eyes darkened to an almost deep, forest green as she took in his visage. He was definitely a player. No NPC would have reacted in such a manner as this one had upon seeing them, especially with Camus' demeanor. “Though, I assure you I am no hag. My name is Lorelei, not Lollie, and he seems to believe that everything should be done as flamboyantly as possible.” She said, her expression remaining quite serious, as she turned to look over at Camus, before looking back to the other male; hearing him speaking once more. She heard the male speak his name as well as she heard his question to them and she shook her head, slowly. “Nice to meet you, Gwelundir, and, no, I haven't. Who is this Galadion?” She asked the male, blinking, slowly, as she let her eyes drift to look over the glowing fungi forest around them, before letting their once again mossy-toned hues settle onto the male. “Is he someone of importance?” She was genuinely curious, as it wasn't common for people to lead off conversations with such questions. It was an intriguing point of interest to her. As she waited for his answer, she let her gaze wander once more. It wasn't that she couldn't hold her focus. Quite the contrary, she was well aware of everything going on around them, at least to a point of distance. It was the fact that she felt as if there were something just beyond the reach of her vision, watching them as if waiting for one of them to make a wrong move. She kept the feeling to herself, for the moment, though, as she turned back to the sound of the younger male's voice, once more. “If you wouldn't mind the company, Gwelundir, I believe moving on and finding this abandoned village might be the best course of action, for now.” The longer they stood around the darker it was getting, and there was no telling what would be waiting for them in the shadows. Surely a group would be safer. If anyone cared to know about her sudden change of demeanor, they were welcome to ask, but at this point, she felt it better to simply follow that gut feeling she had. As ill-equipped as it currently seemed they all were, at this point, she would much rather take her chances away from whatever it was that seemed to be behind them.
Hippy- tree hugger an an old hag, now that phrase was laughable to say the least. Well at least the bit about Lorelei being some old hag. Though him being a hippy- tree hugger, now that was laughable for other reasons. He would never do such a thing as that, he would sooner destroy rather than save. Things existed to interest him and be played with by him. The others in the world were simply no more than pawns, toys, puppets-- hell he would even call some of them simply parasites. Though like puppets, even parasites were useful if used properly. The boy seemed like he would be interesting with how he was so abrupt in his way of speaking. Why he would have to say that age clearly had something to deal with that frame of mind. The boy was clearly young than he or Lorelei, though he was by no means a mere child. So his name was Gwelundir, no that name wouldn't do. His mind was already constructing another name for the other, but his thoughts came to a halt when the boy mentioned another name. Galadion, who the hell was he? Why was he someone important. No screw that he was sure that Lollie would get that kind of information out of the other, he was more concerned on what she had told the boy about him. His smile faded into a frown, and he seemed to put on the appearance of being hurt by her words. "Ouch Lollie, why don't you stab me through the heart why don't ya." It wasn't an invitation at all, though if she was willing to try he would gladly go through with her challenge. She would die in the end, he had actually fantasied about her death actually. First it had been by the rabbit. Oh all girls were supposed to like cute and fluffy innocent things, but when it had turned into abeast like he had imagined-- she had kicked the thing. It was a response he hadn't been expecting. Not just that, but they seemed to keep meeting and he wondered if that was this game's odd idea of fate. Or perhaps it was just pure chance that they kept finding each other, he didn't care of the matter at all. There Lollie went with asking if this Galadion was someone important. He had gone to shove his stick into the belt and put it to his side. His crimson eyes not on Lollie this time but Gwen.... whatever his name was. Clearly he wasn't important enough if he didn't even know what his name was. No, it was clearly he didn't care to learn people's names, he would rather stick to the nicknames. Lollie thought of him as some flamboyant person, though she didn't know a thing about why he did the things he did at all. No one in this game knew him and that was part of the reason why he could be like this. He could be anyone he truly wished to be and somehow this personality had come to him when he had molded his character. "Yes let's move on to this abandoned village and meet this Gladdie Poo person. It seems like it could be interesting enough" again no sense of respect at all. He had moved to come beside Gwelundir and slapped him in his back. A cheerful smile on his lips. "Now you seems to know where ya heading, don't ya Lun Lun, that is just perfect." Though despite his cheerful and rather arrogant behavior he could feel something in the air changing around them the darker it became. His crimson eyes seemed to stare into the darking skies, something was there watching them. Though what kind of beastie existed here? He was excited to find out actually. "Now come on on to Gladdie Poo!" What could possibly be hiding here in a field of giant mushrooms. Insects, now that was a very big possibility. What else though? Life forms could very well be living within the caps of the mushrooms or perhaps on the stems of them. They seemed like they would be a good habitat for many different creatures. He would give anything just by looking about the glowing mushrooms that might just be where they were being watched from. Things always came out from the woods and from mushrooms-- it was common knowledge after all. Though he kept this to himself. Why should he share it with Lun Lun or Lollie anyways? They didn't seem to appreciate him at all. Not that he actually cared or not.
These two idiots were going to annoy him to an early grave, their sickly love-com was just revolting to watch. He rolled his eyes. He then felt the harsh patting on his back from the other, after the female spoke. Clearly she had no interest in him, but then why hadn't she changed her mind, or told him to leave if that was the case? 'Women are so confusing' he thought to himself as he shook his head. His arm had raised itself, pushing the red haired one off him, his feet shuffling to gather some slight distance from him. He had noticed him looking to the sky, the younger one had blinked, before feeling his ear vibrate with a twitch. Just as the red haired one had thought, something was coming. They had to be careful. The didn't have much time. "We can't dilly dally though. These mushrooms release a deadly Spore Storm, that's highly toxic. If you get caught you're dead. Or close to.. I sorta tuned out when I was told about it." He said, shrugging his shoulders. However. Before they could even flee, after his warning, there was a deep struggling growl coming from the tree's. Gwel took a couple steps forward, his eyes focusing on the tree's seeing a sillhouette. ".. D-DIRE WOLF!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. There seemed to be a grin forming on his face as he rolled his shoulders, he had already faced one before, so he felt he was the most experienced one of the three to face it, with the others supporting. However he had no idea of how they battled. He then turned to them. "By the way, how do you guys fight?" At that point, there was a loud thud as the beast lunged from the shade, and into sight. Was Gwel sure that was a dire wolf? It was bigger, hulkier, and outright angrier. As Gwel turned to face it, he was heard gulping. "Huh? That's Spore Storm.." He feet pushed him back enough to get out of the beasts swing paw, his arms moving to his face to brace for the following wind force that had come from it. His shoulders dropped slightly. He wasn't sure what to do now. This beast was dangerous, and it was mutated from the storm, they were going to have to work together to beat it. However, the youngest was curious about something, there was something he couldn't quite shake. "We have to be careful, we don't know what else was around here when the last storm hit, so we have to be quick and careful."
She gave Camus a smirk as she heard his response to her words about him and she shook her head, momentarily. “You act as if I insulted you. I assure you that wasn't my intention.” She had apologized once already for insulting him, in the little time they had known each other. She wasn't about to openly do so again. Her expression, even with the smirk on her lips remained almost cold, as she turned her head to look back around the area they stood in. Still she was unable to shake that feeling that something was coming closer. It was almost as if she could see it, just not with her eyes. It was a strange sensation. Gwelundir, as he had introduced himself to as, had not answered her inquiry as to whom this Galadion might be. The fact that he had not left her feeling as if it wasn't his place to do so. She didn't know why, but it only piqued her interests more. Her mossy-toned eyes watched as Camus moved to pat the younger male on his back, and she actually caught herself taking a half-step forward as Gwelundir moved to push him away. Was there going to be trouble? Hell, why did she even care? He was moving away anyway. She pulled herself back together and shrugged as she just looked to Gwelundir, listening as he began to speak again. 'A deadly spore storm?' It sounded to her like getting the hell out of the place would be a good idea, and soon. The thought was definitely her go to. Survival was her main focus, after all. She let out a snort as she heard the male say he had tuned out whoever had been speaking to him of the spore storms, though, and she shook her head. “That's not the greatest way to obtain and retain information, ya know?” She said, the light, lyrical, but firm tones of her voice holding a touch of humor. She couldn't help it, as even in the boy's demeanor his age showed to be a bit younger than her own. She would need to be sure to ask him, sometime. Her thoughts cut short, though, as she caught just the slightest sense of movement behind her and she lifted her right foot to take a step. In the short time it took Gwelundir to scream the words Dire Wolf, she had already moved into a position beside him. Her eyes scanned over the creature that came lunging from the shadows and into their view. Gwelundir's question fell on her ears like stones as she gave a glance to Camus. With the direction the thing had come from the older Yladian was closest to it, and she didn't know, herself just how well he could or couldn't hold his own. Their travels had taken different paths for a while until now. Her mind was reeling, her eyes taking in everything she could see. The animal was huge, its body covered in what looked to be fungi or mushrooms. The younger Yladian had said he tuned out some of what was said about the spore storms. What was it she had heard on her travels here from some of those she had met? Cataloging and remembering this stuff was what she had been doing. Come on! Her nostrils flared as the scent of rotting flesh hit them and her ears twitched with the sound of the creature's growl. That was it! “The spores! They cause the creatures to become like the undead. Rotting and mindless except for their will and means to fight! Watch out for the toxins from the fungus covering it!” The words left her lips without her thinking. It had been seconds, only seconds since the creature had made it's appearance, and she knew it wouldn't last for it to not actually attack. Pulling her lips back from her teeth in a wide grin, she took a step forward as she pulled her short sword and dagger from their respective places at her sides. “For My Life. That is how I fight!” She finally answered the younger Yladian's earlier question, before she stepped to the side and into the darkness of the nearby mushroom's shadows. Sure, her ability to sneak and hide wasn't as well trained as it would eventually be, but she did have some experience under her belt. As long as the creature didn't look directly at her, she'd be able to slip her way around to it's flank, and that positioning could make or break the fight they had on their hands. @Caelynn Thia
Caelynn Thia had been following behind Camus and Lorelei. This world had so much to offer that she was in awe just by looking at everything. It was beautiful. So different from the real world that everyone knew. If only this in time could become the new world. The pink haired Yladia couldn't help but get distracted at everything she was seeing for the first time. 'How did that phrase go again? Ah! Stop and smell the roses.' Of course she knew there would be plenty of time to take in everything once she got used to the game. Caelynn hadn't noticed that she lost track of the other two. She shrugged her shoulders and let it go for the moment. There didn't seem to be any danger that she knew of except weird mushrooms. From what she knew in the real world, no mushroom was a good mushroom. She highly doubted they would be like Alice in Wonderland. Chances are that if one were to eat or even touch one of these mushrooms they'd probably be dead in a minute or so. 'Better stay clear from them.' Now wasn't the time to get distracted. She had to find the two players she had just met. They needed to stick together from what she knew of. This was a game after all. Anything could spawn to life and try to kill them without reason. They had to be on their toes. Caelynn was mentally kicking herself for not paying enough attention. "Great! I meet a couple people and I loose them! Great start Caelynn, well done!" There she went again talking to herself. "Ugh! Stop that! No more talking to myself!" She really had to focus now to find Lorelei and Camus. They couldn't of gone too far. Up until this point, she had payed attention and followed them at a quickened pace. Just when she thought she was going to give up, she heard the sounds of a growling creature. A voice rang out yelling ".. D-DIRE WOLF!" The pinkette gasped and ran towards the sounds to find a huge Dire Wolf and three players. Two she recognized and a third she had no idea who they were. This was exactly what she was talking about. The game could throw anything at them at any moment. It was vital that they needed to be prepared. Caelynn wasn't sure what she should do. She really didn't want to risk her life and pull off something crazy. As it was, the only skill that could help her was her Martial Arts. She wasn't that strong yet. Perhaps this wolf wasn't that strong either? But why take a chance? She didn't want to die just before getting to look around the game. At the same time she knew she had to help out the two she had previously met. This new person also needed help. They were of all the same race. It was decided, she must help them out. Looking around, the pinkette looked for something she could throw at the Dire Wolf. Her mind was already scolding her for thinking of something crazy. If she threw something and succeeded in hitting the wolf, it would grab it's attention. Then she could put her Martial Arts to the test. She had to be agile and quick on her feet. At the same time she had to be smart and think about her movements. 'Well there's no turning back now.' Leaping into action, Caelynn picked up a rock she found by the side of a mushroom and threw it towards the creature. "Hey guys! Sorry I'm late! I think I got lost in my own version of Wonderland for a second." Looking towards the new player, she smiled at him. "Don't worry we'll get to introductions but not at this moment." Thinking about her moments, it seemed to come naturally to her. She jumped towards the wolf and attempted a round about kick to its face. Quickly Caelynn dove to the side in hopes that it wouldn't catch a bite of her. She knew with practice and work, her skills wouldn't be as weak as they were now. In time, she would grow to be stronger and faster. As long as she stayed alive to allow herself to progress.
Well this was becoming interesting for sure, it was good that he had decided to come up this way on his travels. It was never a dull moment here to say the least. The mushrooms seemed to release a deadly spore storm, this coming from Lun Lun who even bluntly told them that he might have tuned some of the information out. Who did that?! Stupid people that was who. Information was valuable and it could mean life or death. Lun Lun was a moronic kid who clearly would rather be daydreaming than actually listening and retaining knowledge that would help him. This in a way ticked him off to hear. Lollie had seemed to even be on the same side of things as he was, as amazing as that was. It actually shocked him to know that miss little fake mute actually had actually believed something that his smart and amazing awesome self knew to be a fact. Well he was about to give the kid a piece of his mind about needing to pay attention , that was until the growl came from the trees. Beastie! There was a beastie around! That was what he had felt the change in the air from. It hadn't been long after that Lun Lun was stepping forward and screaming the term Dire Wolf out. He had stayed where he was, the first thing was to analyze how the others worked. He would even go as far as letting the dire wolf eat them and then taking the thing with him. The kid was an idiot and the fake mute , well he had wanted her to be eaten by Trouble. He had wanted to hear her scream, now he would love to hear the chorus of screams from those in this party of his. He hadn't exactly asked to part of it, but hey it was going to be fun for him if the thing actually did cause some damage. He could just imagine the way they would scream and the blood that would cover the area. Yes, he had heard the question that had been asked of them. Did he reply? Not really, he was do busy analyzing things in his own little private word. His crimson eyes taking in the dire wolf as it appeared. It was covered in growths. Lun Lun stating the obvious about not knowing what else might have been affected by the spore storm. Now this was growing to be an interesting event for him. They had what amounted to be a zombie dire wolf that could easily rip them to piece and would enjoy doing so. It had toxins growing on it thanks to the fungus growing on it, but what would he think of to do? He wanted to see what the thing could actually do. He heard Lollie screaming how she fought, he was drawing his own long sword from its sheath. "Fighting for ones life only serves so much purpose. I fight for whatever interests me at the time" he spoke as he moved towards the thing rather than following the other into the darkness. Cue the pinkette finding them finally around this time. She at least knew Alice in Wonderland, but now was not the place to bring it up. Though he would love to relive a new tale of such story. Who wouldn't love a Queen that chopped off people's head in a tantrum. Though the tale was full of drug related references and he actually half wished the Jabberwocky would appear here. "Introductions don't really matter if some of us become puppy chow" he spoke as he went to better grip his sword. Sure he had a sword , but he also had a stick and he would use it if he had to. His crimson eyes scanning to see the best points to strike the thing. Trapping it would even be a good thing, or he could not even lift a finger to help them. No that would be no fun, sure he would get to hear them scream, but he wouldn't get to bloody his hands any in battle. So he would fight alongside the Island of Misfit Toys that he had come across. They had mushrooms, trees and more mushrooms. Who knew what was even in the mushrooms aside from the spore storm that seemed to be a threat. Getting close to the beastie would mean running a chance of the toxin actually getting on him. "What is life without a little risk. So tell me Lun Lun, don't you think paying attention to lecture time is a good thing" he was giving his own lecture. He was sizing the thing up, analyzing the best movement and he took a few steps closer. He was ready for it. "You wanna live we do this together" a factor he didn't like at all, he wanted to hear someone scream from pain. "So Lun Lun what can you do besides tune out important information?" The thing was he was talking, analyzing but talking and haven't done a single thing to the beast. Where would the fun in just doing something be. He wanted to see what the Rag Tag Super Bunch could do. They had all come together here as if by fate, surely it meant something. He knew some of Lollie's kicking abilities , but surely she had grown and progressed. He was actually wondering if this zombie dire wolf could easily be taken down without something happening to them. Who would make the first move, he was using his head rather than charging in for a reason.
Growling grew louder, as a stone, no bigger than a pebble compared to the large hulking beast was scattered at it, the object hit it's paw, it's anger diverting towards the new appearance. Gwelundir let a sigh leave his lips. "Are you an idiot? We got this!" He called to her. "Stupid fantasia.." He muttered under his breath, of course the only ones who would have heard that were Lorelie, and perhaps Camus is he was still hanging close to Gwelundir's figure. The boy lifted a hand, the cerulean eyes of his had turned white. It was lucky that this time it was dark, so even if the wolf sensed the coming attack it couldn't tell where it was thanks to the darkening skies above. As they were things weren't going to work well for them. Everything had to be co-ordinated, and done as a team. If they were like Gwelundir, they were just as weak and unskilled as he was right now, but numbers always proved as an advantage. "Dilacerant ad aetheres, qui uri carnes fulgur percutiens!" The ivory haired one chanted. Above the wolf formed a cloud that quickly turned black with his words. The boys hand swiftly moved down, dropping a bolt of lightning on the wolf. The bolt had struck it in the spine, stunning it, and causing it to freeze in place from the sudden attack. Gwelundir had moved both his arms forward. "Quick, make an attack while he's stunned! It won't last very long. Hit it and back off, don't stay around it too long or you'll be dead." He spoke, words of a leader. It was thanks to his experience with the aforementioned Galadion, that he had an idea on what he was to do. His eyes had returned to their normal colour as he watched the struggling beast, it's muscles feeling the tingling sensation of the lightning as it struggled to move, they certainly had to be quick, or those large paws were going to strike out, and deal some heavy damage to them. His eyes moved to the female who had appeared earlier. "Unless you've got some Range, or something. Stay up there." He spoke, looking forwards, hoping that the Camus and Lorelei had listened to him. While taking orders from someone younger probably didn't appeal to them, it was his experience that was moving him. "I know you probably hate me ordering you around, but this is for our survival." He muttered under his breath.
For Lorelei the current situation had turned into something more than just the game mechanics she had expected it to be. The realism of everything she was feeling was so potent that for a time she began to stop thinking of things in terms of 'a game'. From her position in the mushrooms' shadows, she heard the approaching steps, even before the sound of the gentle thud sounded from a rock hitting the creature before them. She nearly cursed out loud, though she caught herself. The interruption had caused the creature to change positions and that wasn't ideal for her. She needed to be at it's back. She wasn't a tank, in any case. Her eyes darted to the source of the rock's throw as she heard the female voice speak. She knew it, and she knew that pink hair, too. Caelynn, the spritely young girl had apparently followed Camus, or maybe they were actually traveling together. It was all she could assume, seeing as she hadn't even seen him in a few days time, at the least, until now. It wasn't any of her concern anyway. It wasn't like she liked him or he showed any sort of interest in anything other than hurting her. She didn't have time to think of it at this time, though. There was something far more important to attend. Turning her attention back to the wolf before them, she heard Camus' response to Gwelundir. The man was as arrogant as ever, even in the face of battle. She should have expected nothing less. This wasn't the first time they had faced something together. This just might very well have been the worst of it. She still didn't understand a damned thing about the flamboyant natured male, but that wasn't a thought for now, either. Her mind was still taking in the scene around her, even in the mere seconds that had passed. Gwelundir's chant rang through her ears and she watched as lightning struck the wolf. The crackling sound that filled the air matched the sudden flashes of raw electricity that ran through the creature, and she gave a wide grin as she saw it's movements cease, even before Gwelundir's words filled her ears. Everything was happening so fast, and, yet, her mind was keeping up nearly perfectly. As the wolf froze in its tracks, she took a step from the shadows, her short sword swinging out towards the creature in a wide arch aimed towards it's currently lowered head, just above its muzzle and beneath its eye. As the wolf was unable to move at this point, she could only smirk as she felt the impact of her hit flow through her arm. At the same time, her sword slashed against the wolf's face, she turned her body, spinning to the right, her dagger, in her left hand, coming up to slash at the area beneath the wolf's muzzle as she spun back into the shadows. She knew, already, that her attacks would not hold a lot of power. She wasn't yet that well trained and her some-what clumsily executed movements had only landed because the wolf was stunned, but it didn't matter to her. What mattered was battering the damned thing down. As her form moved back into the shadows, she allowed herself a glance around to the others. She watched to see who would make what move next and to see if she would have an opening for another move of her own. She hadn't said another word and she wouldn't for now. No, she wouldn't risk giving herself away, she needed all of her concentration on keeping hidden, as she needed to be. The feeling rushing through her could only be counted as straight adrenaline, as even the only slightly healed wound she still carried on her right leg was not felt to her. Her thoughts ran rampant with scenarios as she scanned the scene, but what she wound up focusing on was the pinkette that had thrown the rock. If she recalled, the young girl carried no weaponry and she was too far to strike by hand, though the wolf, once able to move, would be able to get to her rather quickly. Making a split decision, Lorelei moved through the shadows to stand between the beast and the girl, her stance crouching some, as she prepared to attack again.
Who knew a rock at the creature, why if it wasn't Cruellie herself. She was a stupid little one for sure. Not only had she thrown the rock at the dire wolf, but she had gone to roundhouse kick to its face than dove to the side so she didn't get bit. She wasn't that strong, yet she felt like she could be some hero to everyone by coming in --late--and trying to show off. So it was a little hypocritical for him to think like this of her. He had done the same thing and yet he didn't thinking anything of it. Why? He was better than anyone else here. Was she an idiot? Yes. Was he? No. He could hear the chanting before the lightening would strike the wolf upon its spine. It caused the wolf to freeze in its place. There went the youngest of them all trying to give orders and ignoring his. Yes, he felt like what he had ordered had gone unnoticed. Seems like the only way anything was going to get done would be if he did it himself. This is why he disliked other people. People had minds of their owns and sometimes controlling them was hard to do. People could have a strong will and decide that they knew better. Ignorant people! Animals were easier to have obey, once they were controlled properly that was. They would attack if told and not question the one who ordered. People would question and disobey-- he was proof of this after all. Though he was much better than the others and what he did was above them. Everything seemed to go by so fast, all of it happening within mere seconds of each other. Did the child really think that he would would actually listen to him. Would he attack on command like some trained beast? No not for him. He would do things on his own accord. There from the shadows came the first strike from Lorelei. Like hell would he actually allow her to upstage him. Both Lollie and Lun Lun had had their go at the beast, it was his turn. He moved quickly at the thing, long sword drawn and ready to strike. Calculating as he went towards it , he decided to go for the things chest. It was stunned by Lun Lun's lightening, it would slowly be wounded and eventually be killed. The thing was infected and he didn't know if there was a cure. Lun Lun would be helpful had he paid attention to more information regardless about things having to do with the spores. They were toxic and he had a feeling that if he was to be in range of it-- well he might become infected as well. That would be the case should the thing truly be that like a zombie would. So he just had to cut without getting any of the spore on him. Easy enough. There. He made his strike, the long sword going swiftly against the things chest. He could see the blood that began to leak from the thing , seemed he had gotten it deep enough to make a decent cut. He didn't stay around long enough to see once he had made his move. He jumped back going back from the thing. Part of him, some deep down part of him, actually felt sorry for the thing. It had been the same case for the dire rabbit, Trouble, he had showed some compassion to it cradling it when it had been struck unconscious. Though it was the circle of life. Not everything could be saved. This dire wolf was doomed the moment it had become infected by the spore storm. Though another part of him wanted to play with it. He wanted to see what the thing could do. It would be entertaining to see what the puppy could do. He had noticed that Lollie had gone to protect Cruellie. Well not exactly protect, but stand between her and the beast. The girl had nothing to attack with, she was stupid. He gripped the hilt of his sword tighter in his hand as he watched. His crimson eyes taking in what they had so far. "Don't think you are the one calling the shots. Survival or not, I don't care." Maybe not a team player, but he was actually not just trying to charge in for another attack so far. So maybe there was still hope for this group to actually work together.
'Way to go you stupid pink idiot. Now everyone thinks your useless and only wanting to cause more trouble.' She was scolding herself for her idiotic move. What was she thinking! Throwing a rock...A rock at something bigger and stronger than all of them. This was not starting off well at all. She might of stood a better chance just keeping quiet and watching. Oh but she couldn't do that. She had the urge to do something and try to fight along side them. She felt like it was in her nature to do something and help out. Throwing the rock may had not been the smartest thing to do. Alright scratch that it WASN'T smart at all. In her head the plan had worked out well. In her head, she said something cool about having introductions later and throwing a rock to get it's attention. Then whoever was close to it would see the opportunity to strike against it. Nothing ever goes according to plan does it? That's what irritated Caelynn so much. She'll probably get kicked out of this group once its done. She'll be shunned and have to find new players that would tolerate her to stick around with. Was it possible to cry in the game? Could the animated eyes produce tears like in the real world? She didn't think she was crying but damn did she feel that was coming up next. 'No. Don't let the others see you wearing your heart on your sleeve. Be strong. Don't you dare give into anything either. Stand tall and keep your head held high.' Her pep talk to herself actually seemed to work in some ways. She couldn't become too lost in her thoughts right now. She had to focus on the current happenings going on right now. Four of them vs a zombified dire wolf. This definitely wasn't like that movie where the human girl fell in love with the male zombie and cured everyone of their illness. She forgot the name of it. They couldn't just pet the wolf and say everything will be okay and expect it to suddenly be nice and leave them alone. Ugh! 'Focus! Stop living in a fairy tail!' Caelynn blinked once again returning to reality when she heard a crashing sound. Looking around rapidly, she saw the wolf stunned. "What happened to it? What was that sound? I wasn't paying-" Caelynn's words were cut off when she suddenly saw Lorelei standing in front of her. What was she going to do. She wasn't that defenseless. Then again, maybe she was. Not having a weapon of any kind and no magical powers. She might as well be called Caelynn the NPC with the most terrible stat in history. How embarrassing. She already made a bad impression on the newer player they met. He didn't seem too happy with her either. Looking down, Caelynn put her hand to her head. "Can this get any worse? Could I be more stupider?" Remembering the other girl was standing in front of her, she prayed that she didn't answer. "I'm not sure if you were listening Lorelei, but I might as well just answer for you. Yes I'm a stupid player. No, I don't really know what I'm doing yet. I'm a slower learner and haven't gotten used to anything yet." Did that make her feel better after explaining herself to her? Nope. Not at all. She probably just made it worse. They all probably thought she was that annoying player that would follow them around like a little lost puppy they can't ever escape from. "Ugh! Dammit!" She stomped her foot and crossed her arms. "I can be of use! I know I can!" Moving to the side, she went and stood next to the other female. So she made a mistake and was torturing herself for it. She knew Martial Arts and was good with acrobatics. She could probably do a round off back hand spring if she attempted it. "Stop yelling at each other. Nobody is really the boss of anyone right now. We're in charge of ourselves. All we can do is try to help each other out. But that doesn't mean we give orders. We're not mindless robots here. Now let's think rationally for a second shall we!" Caelynn hadn't realized how annoyed and angered she sounded. But it fit with the situation and the current happenings.
