Private - Kingsguard Beginnings

  1. Attacking the beast like he had suggested allowed them to show the beast they weren't going to go down with a fight, but as the older male began shouting his peace about taking orders, Gwelundir's left hand lifted, with the pinky scratching inside his ear as he rolled his eyes to the others words. He then heard the pink haired one shouting. his eyes looked towards her. "That was sorta the point, idiot." he complained to her.

"I've got experience with a dire wolf, since they're close rangers, it's better for me to hang back to give them openings to attack, and instruct them when I make it." He spoke, rolling his eyes the other way. Of course the only one that complained was Camus, which caused the other to start throwing her piece into it. His eyes had focused on the wolf once again. While it didn't feel much pain from the few attacks thrown at it, it certainly showed it's anger towards them.

As the wolfs mouth opened. There was only two things that could have happened, it was either going to call out with a howl, to bring friends to it's party, or it was going to lunge at them with the intent of eating them whole. Gwelundir's right hand lifted. His ring and pinky finger tucked in, while the index and middle finger pointed directly at the beasts open mouth.
"Dissiliunt et ignium!" He shouted, an orb of fire formed before his fingers, before reeling itself at the beast. While his Pyromancy lacked the power, and flare right now, he was using it's secondary uses to perfection.

As the wolfs mouth was laying wide open, the fireball struck inside, and exploded upon impact with the innards of the wolfs maw, causing it's mouth to slam shut. It had certainly felt that one. While it's outer shell may have been thick with muscle, the innards were weaker, and prone to heavier damage. But in that case..
"If it opens it's mouth, hit it. We can't exactly let it summon others, and even if it won't, I don't image that it's teeth are gonna feel good against the skin." He spoke, tilting his head forward slightly.

He could feel himself getting to grips with everything around him, the longer he spent, the more he experienced, the more he came to fear it, the more he enjoyed it, it was truly a mastery of things. A world that one had to experience before they could truly enjoy it's wonders. As he looked to the two them, his left hand swiped, bringing up a menu that only he himself could see.
"Hm, I also have this, just in case.." He then looked left and right. before looking forward.

  2. Lorelei remained silent as she stood in that half-crouched stance, the shadows of the mushroom hid her form well enough that she knew as long as the creature was distracted, it wouldn't be able to get a bead on her. This was a very vital point for her and her fighting style. She was an assassin. It was her job to strike in silence and secret, not to rush in and gather attention. Of course, though, there had to be something in this ragtag group to make that nearly impossible to try to do. It was just how her luck went.

Surprisingly enough, it wasn't the boisterous Camus that was drawing attention to her, for once. No, she had to give him credit where it was due. Though he still held that arrogant attitude, as could be reasoned by his tone and the way he responded to everyone, when it came to an actual battle, he was decent to have around. If nothing else, his need to be the center of attention helped to keep things attention away from her. The thought would have made her snicker, if not for the pinkette. Where Camus, for once, wasn't focused on her, the girl suddenly seemed to be.

It seemed the younger female really didn't take hints well enough. Everyone had already expressed their opinions on the way she had come in with nothing but a rock and her hands for protection. Lorelei had made no secret of the fact that she was trying to hide, and what did the girl do, after already having drawn the wolf's attention to herself once? She came and stood with her! It was enough to have the older woman ready to turn her sword on the pinkette, if not for the fact that they had something so much more serious to worry with at the moment. Deciding against saying anything to the other female, she simply allowed herself to fade further into the shadows a little further behind the younger female.

As she moved, she heard Gwelundir speaking to the pinkette. He was telling her that he had experience with Dire Wolves and that he was a ranged fighter; explaining himself on why he was giving instructions the way he was. She didn't see the point, really, if the girl was too ignorant, still, to be able to notice and at least somewhat understand things that were happening, then Lorelei was surprised she had even made it this far. Maybe that was a good thing in itself, though. Perhaps she could use it to her advantage. The thought brought a slight grin to her lips as she pondered over it. The possibility of using the little pinkette for bait and distraction purposes actually sounded like a very good idea.

As she thought over these things, her eyes were following Camus' movements, watching as he made his strike against the beast. His sword hit true and she saw the thick red of blood as he slashed through the creature's flesh. He only took the opportunity for the one strike. She was actually impressed. It seemed she had been right and he might be able to work with them all after all. Of course, her musings were short-lived, as he opened his mouth to speak, that arrogant tone flowing from him once more, this time over rather or not the younger male should be giving orders. It was enough to bring a roll to her eyes.

She kept her opinions to herself, though, all of this going on in her head, as she watched the beast opening its mouth. She was standing close enough that she heard the slight beginnings of a deep-throated howl rising in its throat, though it only managed to become a slightly loud growl before Gwelundir was chanting again; sending a fireball into the things open jaws. A smirk twisted her lips as she followed the blast of the fireball, bounding from the shadows with a leap. Just as the creature's massive jaws snapped closed, her sword jutted out towards it as she came down for a landing, it's blade burying into its left eyeball and dragging down through the socket. Pulling her sword back, quickly, she leaped backward, landing back in the shadows once more; letting her body still as she went back to watching the others around her.

  3. It was proven that the pinkette was an idiot, he was positive that the other two agreed upon that wholeheartedly. His crimson eyes had watched as she seemed to grow closer to Lorelei. Well wasn't that sweet, he had actually gotten the little damsel in distress. Cruellie, as he had been calling her lately after the bunny incident-- well she could talk big, but couldn't follow through. This was shown when the girl had come into the battle only throwing a rock. She held no weapons, and she far from being skilled enough to actually use her masteries well.

He had actually thought of using martial arts as one of his own masteries, the same could be said of acrobatics -- but they would have been paired with his sword-fighting. He had easily decided against it due to what he had wanted to do. The good thing about knowledge was that it was a weapon within itself. Actually,it was up to him on rather or not he wanted to actually help this group and more so the little damsel. It might not be too bad, if he became this hero... than no matter what he did after they would have to put up with it.

So the youngest member had experience with a dire wolf, he seemed to feel the need to explain it. Just because he complained, didn't mean he couldn't pick up on things. He just didn't like being told what to do, by anyone-- especially someone much younger than he was. It wasn't like the other male wasn't holding up his own end of things-- he was useful. The pinkette was only useful at being pathetic. The dire wolf opened its mouth to let out a howl to attract others. That didn't need to happen.

He had gripped his sword tighter and was about to go in for another strike. That was when there was chanting and a fireball was being shot into the wolf's mouth. A small shutter ran through his spine watching it, he couldn't help it. Though it wasn't well seen due to the way he held himself, he had felt a small jolt of pain from the impact. It had to be anticipation, maybe some glitching in the game-- but it had suddenly appeared. Nothing had hit him. Dire wolf or not, they needed to make quick work of it before they could move on to meet Gladdie Poo.

"No, I would have thought that we wanted to have more of the things come here to attack us" his tone was heavy with sarcasm. He smirked "though I could easily handle a whole army of them" he would have found a way to use knowledge to actually make it happen. Though one thing he hated about his beast taming mastery was that he could only have one tamed beast at a time. He couldn't make an army and he hated it. He would have loved an army of flying alligators to fly in and attack when he ordered. Dire wolves would have been nice of course, though this one wouldn't do. No need to even waste time with it.

He heard the other talking about having something, but he didn't question this time. What was worse was Lorelei had taken a shot and didn't leave him fun with the creatures open mouth. Would the pinkette really be missed if she got eaten? "I vote that we throw out the weakest link if more do come" he had gone to leap at the creature as he spoke these words. He slashed his blade across it again, making sure to apply more pressure. Blood came spraying out as he yanked his sword out, so he might have got it in a little deeper than he thought. He would assume that the creature would cry out in pain. He didn't check to make sure as he leaped back to avoid damage. Just because he didn't fear death didn't mean he was stupid (like Cruellie was).

Now he could have done more, probably could have dealt the finishing blow even. He could have made more commentary and sarcastic comments, but there was something about this battle that made him be more in the mode of just getting through it. He had a feeling he would have to get over this barrier of his. It was annoying. He kept it to himself, nothing actually showing what had happened prior, he didn't want anyone of this group knowing he wasn't some God and had weak points. Lorelei already had seen some of them-- he didn't actually register this as happening though. Blood had splashed upon his cheek and some had gone to stain his white attire, he didn't care-- it didn't even register to him.

  4. It was no secret that Caelynn was quickly catching on to what the others thought of her. They all had weapons and magical powers. She had picked Martial Arts because it seemed interesting. She just had to learn to master the technique to use her body as a weapon. For now, all she could do was try to hit the dire wolf and hoped she dealt it some damage. Eventually she hoped to have some type of staff to aid her in battle. She once read that a person in Martial Arts could have a weapon and use it as an extension of her body. Of course she had to check to make sure that the game and the mastery would allow her to do something like that. 'They don't like me, but they don't even know me. Judging me for an action that I'll admit wasn't the brightest. I best keep my guard up around them. They might try to kill me when I'm not looking or leave me for dead.' Caelynn didn't want to say anything to the others quite yet. She could hear the irritation in all their voices. Who knows what they were actually thinking about when they heard her name. She had to try and prove to them that she could be useful. Little by little.

Looking at the younger male, he spoke of having experience with Dire Wolves. He'd also been around as a player much longer than she. He was probably around longer than the other two as well. If the two were new or not, they seemed to know exactly what they were doing. Watching the other two attack, she was in awe watching them. Even if they seemed mean, Caelynn would agree that they looked cool attacking the creature. Rather this was a party or not, they had to work together. Working together an communication was the key to everything. She couldn't just stand there and have them think she was useless. They were already thinking that and other worse things. She had to try an turn things around. Caelynn knew she had it in her to go after it. First she had to pull together her courage and get closer to the wolf. It was partially blind with only one working eye at the moment. Camus had been stabbing it as she watched the blood spray around the area. Looking up at them, it was her turn. She had to do something. 'Give me a chance...' she thought to herself as she suddenly leaped into action.

The best way to approach this Dire Wolf was to come to the side of it's damaged eye. She had to use that as an advantage. Caelynn cartwheeled to the side and plunged her arm down and grabbed it's back paw. With a strong yank in the right direction, she heard a cracking sound followed by a loud whimpering sound. Had she broken it's foot? Sprained it? Fractured it? She must of done something or else it wouldn't of cried out like that. It might of been in pain before but now it was really in pain. Moving quickly over to the side by it's ribs, Caelynn took her leg and kneed it in the rib cage sending the wolf down on it's side. The pinkette was quite happy to see that she had successfully dealt some damage to the wolf. Now however it was someone else's turn. She ran off to the side and slid to a stop before standing up and looking over where the wolf stood.

"I hope that comment about throwing out the weakest link wasn't directed towards me. You have to give me a chance! Don't just suddenly declare I'm no good and throw me out." If by some miracle they ended up becoming a party then the group would surely be an interesting one at that. "I know I messed up and I'm sorry, but look! I redeemed myself! I think we're close in defeating him. Someone just has to cause a bigger blow with more damage to him." Once that happened, only then could they move on and not worry about any more creatures unless another were to randomly show up.

  5. Gwelundir watched the actions of Camus, using the momentum from his flame to deliver yet another attack on the wolf. He nodded, that was good thinking. He took the opportunity it had lowered it's guard and mounted the harsher assault. However there was one little problem. The rosen haired female was still trying to show her usefulness, and it was starting to annoy the other members.

"Can we use her as bait?" He asked Camus, before glancing to watch her move. Her actions attempted to dislodge a bone from the wolf, however all it had done was pulled the muscle very slightly, it was mutated, so reverting the damage was easy, and suffice to say her attempted knee strike did nothing but irk it. Gwelundir watched it. Even the wolf didn't have interest in the female.

The males hand moved to his face as it covered a sigh leaving the lips. His hand then pointed to her.
"I don't care who you are, but if you pull that again, I'm going to throw you at that damn wolf and force you down it's throat!" He shook his head. She was lucky it didn't show an interest in her, or else she would have been eaten by the beast.

Gwel turned his attention to the beast, and crossed his arms watching it. It seemed to be feeling the burning pain in it's mouth. It certainly wouldn't be able to howl any time soon. The wolf couldn't get a move, one seemed to vanish into the shadows, one could deal some form of damage to him, and then there was the one who had fired elements at him.

"Dilacerant ad aetheres, qui uri carnes fulgur percutiens!" He chanted, the words flowing around him, forming in the air above the wolf, it knew what was coming. At this moment, it depended on who was faster. The wolf made a motion to leap, as it did, Gwelundir brought his hand down, striking through the wolf with the bolt, it's body falling forward. At this point it was in their hands. "While it's down, I used more power so you two hit it, or throw that pink one at it for food."

  6. Lorelei had moved back and away from the wolf as she had struck its eye. Her form shrunk into the shadows, quickly, as she was suspecting that the thing would turn on her with the unexpected blow and the pain from it. She could imagine in those split seconds; how it would feel for the thing's massive jaws to snap down on her body. She could almost feel the possible pain and anguish it would bring. Part of her swelled inside with the adrenaline of adventure. To die in battle would be an honorable death, after all. However, it seemed that time would not be now.

Just as the creature went to turn its course towards her. Camus was striking it another blow. His movements were quick, calculated, and his sword hit true, bringing forth a spew of blood that was remarkably unexpected. The male had improved quite a bit since last she had fought with him. Though she would obviously never admit such to him, she could honestly say she was impressed, and though she couldn't say she believed they were on the same level any longer, the skills she did have, she fully intended to use to their fullest potential.

The pinkette had pulled a stupid stunt. She had rushed out to attack the beast. Was she actually trying to break its leg? Did she intend that weak kick to have knocked it over? “I think it would be an excellent idea.” She answered Gwelundir's question, not caring if it had been directed at her or not. At this rate, the younger female was bound to get them all killed if they weren't smart with their own attacks. She honestly still couldn't believe the lack of skill in the other female. Had she been doing nothing at all with her time in the game since they first met?

She didn't have time to really think about it, as she watched the wolf turning towards the other female. The snarl that rumbled up from its throat sending a shock of bass-like reverberation through her body as she watched the girl fall back. She could see the muscles in the wolf's legs coiling as if it were getting ready to swing. It didn't have time to do so, though, as suddenly Gwelundir was chanting again. The words from his spell quite literally filling the air around himself and the wolf. It was a glorious spectacle to see.

As his chanting reached its peak, she could feel the static of electricity filling the air, before a large bolt of electricity jetted down and through the wolf. The entire process was amazing to watch. There was definitely more to the young male than she would have first thought. The creature pitched forward as it was struck. She watched its eyes widen and it's muzzle snap shut as it began to topple. There was only a matter of seconds for her to think, as she calculated her next move. Pushing against her legs, she sprang from the shadows, bringing herself closer to the wolf.

As the wolf toppled forward and she leaped towards it, she brought her sword up, aiming the blade directly for the soft underside of the beast. With her own momentum forward, and the beasts downward trajectory she figured she would have a better chance at wounding it, than if she were to simply take another half-clumsy wack at it. It appeared she was correct in her assumptions also, as her sword struck true, slashing along the soft underside of the beast. She jumped back, her form fading into the shadows once more, as she watched the wound begin to bleed, and a small smirk passed her lips.

  7. How stupid could someone be? He seemed to be seeing the pinkette showing him that and continuing to multiple it on herself. She wanted them to give them a chance. She wanted to be useful. The only way she could be useful was if she was used as puppy chow for the beast. She had honestly thought that her weak little attack would do anything to the beast, well it had. She had angered it more. Where he had felt a small amount of pain during the fireball attack, he could feel the anger from the beast. Now it wasn't as clear to tell the beast 'thoughts' like it was for normal non-infected ones, but rage was still rage.

Its actions spoke for themselves, the snarl that had rumbled from its throats and the way its mussels would coil for the attack. Than came the question, Lorelei had answered even though it was directed at him. "I don't see why we can't. That might be all she would be excellent for." It was rare that all of them was able to see eye to eye, but it seemed killing the bloody idiot of a pinkette was something they could all agree on. He wondered just how the wolf would like it for them to just throw the pinkette to it. She had 'tried' to help them , but she was just useless. She would have done better to just go and try to beat the thing with a stick.

Sticks were useful, rocks not so much. Okay, so maybe rocks thrown hard enough would be useful. Though the girl was weak in her strength. Not just that, but she didn't have much bite in her at all, she was all talk. Didn't she know that martial arts took more time to groom into useful? No she was someone who had a few screws missing from her head if she thought that her 'help' was actually helpful. Sure, his personality might not be the best out there--- but he was strong, hell he was strong with just his stick too. He was such a great person, these people needed him around. Well, it looked like they might not get to feed her to this wolf , but there were always other beasties out there.

More chanting lead to another magic attack. So it seemed out of everyone in this group, the youngest was the most useful. After that was Lorelei and beneath worms was the pink one. He smirked hearing the other's words. This time he would let the orders go without commenting --this time--. So throwing the pink one at it for food was something that still could be done. Either way they would get out of here, but which one would be more enjoyable for him? He looked from the wolf to the pink one and back to the wolf, which had just been struck by Lorelei.

It wasn't dead yet though, it needed to be dealt the final blows and who better than to do it than the best himself. Blood, bright crimson blood was flowing from the beast, his smirk growing wider and almost insane like. He was stalking forward like the predator he should be , his sword ready to strike. Yes, he could feel the beasts in a way that others couldn't. Though this wolf had to be put down. He didn't speak in these moments, his crimson eyes held a fire in them that seemed to blaze. So what if the others wanted to finish it off, he would be the one to do it. His sword seemed to whistle through the air as he went in for the strike.

An upwards cut slash, successful and landed. The thing let out a cry of pain, he didn't hold back in that strike-- not that he had realized he was exactly "holding" back before. His mind was lost in an almost crazed filled haze. "A beastie that's stayed longer than welcomed" his tone had changed it wasn't so much arrogant as it almost sounded crazy. He wouldn't jump back from the wolf, clearly unafraid of what might come from this. He raised his sword up above his head before plunging it down. Once, twice, three times and he could hear the drawn out whining coming from it.

He liked it and it had made him stab it more and more. Blood was splattering all over him, but he didn't care. A small laughter even bubbled from his lips, it was such a soft bubble. He was enjoying himself, than he stopped and looked down at the thing-- his sword still stuck in it. "Say were you suffering" he asked, he sounded almost cheerful in these words as he spoke to the dead thing. He went and pulled the sword out of it and got up to spin to look at the other's. "Well it's dead" sword still dripping blood as he held it within his right side.

Crimson eyes looking at the pink one once more. "You get to live another day, aren't you lucky. Who knows maybe we might find more beasties on our travels than you can actually become food. That is unless you run away quick enough, who knows maybe it might actually train you." His words were harsh but in a way he was also proving something to. He took the back of his left hand and wiped the blood off his face. "Taking some of the meat would probably be useful for us. Blood doesn't smell rotted at all, not sure about the taste. Though I doubt we would eat it raw anyways" this was the first time he had ever talked normal to any of them since they had met.

  8. Fear? No, it was more concern that he'd spread on the youths face watching Camus enjoying himself. His merciless stabbing of the wolf had caused him to lower his head as his hands had come together, saying a silent prayer for the fallen beast. It was his way of thanks. The experience it brought them, and letting them work together to survive something so dangerous. It wasn't often that luck played so well. Now all that mattered was for them to keep moving. However he had listened to Camus' words about the meat. His head cocked to the side.

Hands moved to the sides as funnels of wind moved, keeping him a float as he moved across the terrain at a speed faster than that of a sprinter running at full speed in their prime. As he landed by Camus, he moved his hand against the beast.
"Hm. You could be right." He spoke, in regards to the meat. He continued to move his hands across it, trying to feel for the best area of meat. While the beast itself was huge, it was mutated as well, so only certain areas would have been nice enough to eat. After all they didn't want to mutate themselves.

Gwelundir had pointed to Camus, his fingers moving around the chest area.
"It seems the underside is the best part on this Wolf. It's not mutated like the rest, so if we set up a fire, I can cook it up, and we'll have something pretty good to eat." He spoke, moving himself to his feet, before walking a few steps from them. "I'm sure you can get that meat, right?" He had asked, before walking to the river and letting it soak his hands, before taking his few steps to return to the group.

"Does anyone have a sack, or something to carry it?" He asked, tilting his head. "I would hate to keep Galadion waiting, but if we bring this then we can eat something pretty tasty." He spoke, before dropping a balled fist into his palm. The balled fist then moved flat against his chest, looking to them. "I have the Cooking Vocation, so leave the cooking to me." He then looked to the pinkette. "Unless you wanna be food yourself, or eating rats."

  9. After watching the dire wolf fall dead, Caelynn sighed. If she didn't know any better they were all out to get her. Again, she wondered why she had follow the male and female to meet the male now that only had insults to her. And this King probably would send her to her death as well. Why was she doing this to herself. The feeling was weird with these three. It felt like she was suppose to be with them. Did she had a greater purpose for being with them she didn't know about? "You know, I don't appreciate all of you talking down to me! I'M TRYING! I picked some hard skills to master and it's not like I'm getting any help. You all help each other. The moment I step up to do something, the only things that come out of your mouths is criticism. I'm sure your thoughts are much worse though." Caelynn didn't know if she could cry in the game but she could hear her voice cracking like she was about to cry. "I was really trying. I....I really was."

She didn't want to be around them anymore. No that wasn't it. She needed a small break from them. She had to regain her confidence if she had any. Shaking her head, Caelynn just walked over to the the water that the male had been at soaking his hands. Wasn't this game suppose to make her feel cool instead of like a loser? Maybe the game was defective that way. If your real life skills sucked then there wasn't much hope for your in game skills. She sighed taking in a deep breath in and out. Closing her eyes and folding her hands, she tried to calm herself and relax her emotions. She was getting too worked up and the others weren't going to help. "Everything will be okay. It's a learning process. I'm slow now but I'll get stronger." Wiping her eyes, she sniffed and held herself as if to give herself a comforting hug. "Maybe I shouldn't of followed. I should of left Camus and Lorelei after they defeated the vulture." Caelynn wasn't really talking to herself. She was just stating her thoughts aloud. They were true facts. "I guess all I do is bring trouble to those around me. Here I thought a virtual game would be something better. It only wants to curse me." The pinkette laughed. Maybe that was all she could do. Laugh, push it off and keep going.

"This may be a game but I still have feelings and you're all hurting them! For crying out loud, you wanted to use me as bait. Go ahead and kill me. Or better yet, I'll just leave this group." What else could she do. She could stay with them and continued getting insulted or hear them talking about her like she wasn't there. Caelynn decided she was going to keep going. She didn't know where she was going. They were going to follow the younger male to wherever another male would be. Picking up a twig, she snapped it. It was small and skinny. It was pretty easy to break it. The only thing on her mind right now was how pathetic she truly was feeling. Not even her said group was impressed with. It was like doing a school project. Being put into a group with a bunch of cool kids while that one kid didn't fit in with anyone. That's how Caelynn was categorizing herself. The feeling to cry suddenly came, as the pinkette took off running want to get away from them. She might get lost, she might even die but she would be getting the emotional break she needed.

Once Caelynn was a little parted from the group, she stopped and looked around completely lost. Another mistake she would pay for from the group if they find her or caught up to her. "Ugh!" She screamed in frustration and stomped her foot and kneeled to the ground wanting to punch the ground. "All I can do is my best but I guess my best isn't good enough for them!" Picturing them in her mind, she could see them on the ground and pretended to punch them.

  10. It was dead. The wolf was dead. And there was Camus speaking insanely to the thing; wondering if it had suffered. Why would he, of all people, sound like he had actually wanted it to? His comments took a turn for the better, though, as she heard him speak of the meat possibly being okay. So he did have some logic to him. She was glad to know that. It was bad enough knowing that her thoughts of him stayed so twisted as it was. It wasn't that she didn't necessarily like the man, so much as it was he seemed to know just how to push the right buttons to have her ready to deck him at any given time.

Gwelundir was now at the wolf's side, checking over the carcass, before instructing Camus on just which parts of the meat he should harvest. It was good to know that the beast's death wouldn't be completely in vain. They were sure to need the sustenance, also, and she didn't know about the others, but she wasn't carrying much by way of food, herself. Granted, they had all gained a little experience from it, well, maybe not all of them. The thought crossed her mind as she turned towards the sound of a snapping twig.

The pink-haired female had caused the sound that echoed lightly towards them. Lorelei's brow knitted as she looked at the other female. Were those sobs she was hearing? The answer was a confirmed yes when she saw the younger female wipe at her eyes. The words she spoke were so filled with confusion that they caused Lorelei's ears to twitch. It was like the girl didn't know what she really wanted. She was really beginning to wonder why the girl had decided to play such a danger-filled game; especially if it was something that was only going to bring her to tears and cause her to run from things. Sure, she had potential, every new player did, but it really, so far, seemed that the girl had done nothing to prepare herself for things, even after the dangers she had found in the newb area alone.

Her thoughts were cut short as she watched the girl move. Was she really leaving? Off out there, on her own, after seeing what it had taken for them all to bring down this one beast, even together? Heaving an exasperated sigh, she stepped over to Camus, handing him her dagger. “Here. This will help with your task better than your sword will.” She said. “I expect to have it back if you don't mind.” She continued, before looking over at Gwel. “Excuse me, for now.” She stated, shaking her head, before bounding up onto the closest mushroom and taking off after the pinkette. “Foolish child.” She grumbled to herself as she followed her.

It didn't take much for her to find the girl, though she hung back for a moment, watching as she punched the ground from her kneeling position. Her words causing her to shake her head once more, before she moved to step over to her side, reaching her right hand down to grasp the girl's collar and pull her to her feet. “If you're quite finished with your dramatic display of a fit, Little Girl, perhaps you're ready to listen to reason and logic?” She said as she raised a brow at her,

She sighed as she released the girl's collar and tilted her head at her. “Believe it or not, I perfectly understand that you want to be useful and you're trying, but there is a point that your actions become illogical and ignorant. If you can't watch your surroundings and your teammates and learn to follow their actions, especially if they are more experienced, then you become a liability. It is a harsh lesson, but it is also a harsh world.” Lorelei was not one to break character, but for this one moment, she truly felt the need to do so.

“This isn't SIMS for you to build a happy little fairytale life. It is a very realistic game with very real pain and very real death. I would suggest you remember your this.” She said, before turning to look back towards the direction they had both come from. “You've also got a better chance of survival if you're not alone. Now shall we return or do you want to take your chances here, with me, until the men catch up?” She asked her as her mossy-hues glanced around through the darkness, her elongated ears twitching to the sounds around them.

  11. Crimson eyes saw how the youth had decided to use air to keep him floating. He wasn't too impressed by the other, it meant nothing that he was using the funnels of wind to move and keep him afloat. It might have been handy for trying to outrun something-- but to just get from one location to the other, well it was just a trick. Though these thoughts for once actually didn't make out of the silver haired male's mouth. It was something about the scent of blood that kept him oddly calmed (though one might not have thought that had they seen how he had attacked the wolf.) That was slightly a blur for him, though oh how he had enjoyed the feeling.

"I could be right? I am right" he stated as he looked at the other when he spoke. His crimson eyes watching as he would feel the beast. So maybe he had to admit that the other was smart-- but it would never be outside of his mind. He looked almost as if he was insulted by the other's words. So now the other walked instead of floated. "No I'm just going to let the pink worm get the meat instead of doing it myself" sarcasm was heavy within his words. Of course by pink worm he had meant Caelynn. Talking about the pinkette, she seemed to be talking out loud to herself. A fact they both shared-- but when he did ... well he didn't seem like some pitiful being.

He gripped his sword and stared at the spot that he was supposed to be cutting up. He was listening to what the pinkette said. Honestly, she didn't even know the difference between a crow and a vulture-- she truly must be an idiot. She continued to talk and talk and that was it, it just had him taking his frustrations out on the wolf. Except he saw Caelynn instead and he was slicing and dicing her up. Well that is what he would have done. He would have easily made quick work for the wolf-- well had it not been for a few things. The first was that he had a long sword, it wasn't exactly the best for skinning and cutting an animal. Second was the echoing sound of the twig and sobs.

He wanted to shout at her, to even stab her and give her something to truly cry about. Though she was running before any of that could be taken care of. Lorelei had come beside him with a sigh and held out her dagger to him. He had taken the thing from her, and his lips parted to speak but nothing came and by the time he had thought of something-- she was gone following after the pinkette. "Idiots the whole lot of them" he muttered more to himself as he went to sheath his sword and go to make quick work of the wolf in front of him. Now he would have made it work with just his long sword, but Lorelei letting him use her dagger was actually quicker.

In his mind the wolf had turned into a pink humanoid monster that resembled Caelynn. A smirked rested on his lips as he separated the piece of good meat from the mutated one around it. A small humming was coming from him as he worked, however it wasn't the same melody that he had started humming upon being in this place. It was different, it was slower , flowing but there was still that underlaying of creepiness behind it. He finally finished carving up the meat. His crimson eyes going to look at the youth. "Seems the girls left us alone. As for the bag, I have one that will work well enough" he stated. He half wanted to put the meat into the other's hands, but instead put it into the bag instead.

After doing this he would go to hand the bag to the other. "There, ya got the meat now. Ya can get to cooking it when we get to see Gladdie Poo." They had wasted enough time, and now that the girls had taken off-- it meant more time. He went over to the the river to begin washing off his hands and the dagger. When he was done with that he would give his sword a proper washing. It had been better to sheath it rather then wasting time and having the beast's meat get so tough that it would be hard to even do anything with. He straighten up to his full height once more. "Now do ya think the girls would come back or if we should go and fetch them?" He was more then willing to leave them though, Lorelei would find herself following them. As for the pinkette, he could care less about her-- she wasn't useful.
