    Hi hi, I’m Franklynn. I’m one of those types who learned RPing from chatrooms, so I’m used to sitting down for hours at a time, posting rapid-fire one after another. Not to toot my horn, but I am creative enough to have sat down with another person and RPed a full 19 hours...maybe I need to get a life.
    Hah, psyche! I have one. It’s the kind with a lot of free time, so I’m usually, if not always available.
    Good grammar, imaginative plots, skillful writing, dynamic RPers? Count me in on all the above. And to the best of my abilities, I can change to suit your preferences, as needed!

    Likes: Camaraderie among characters, dynamic relationships, kindred spirit RPers, immersive storylines, Teacher-Student relation RPs above all.
    Dislikes: Flighty or short RPs, aimless RPs, cats (although that’s changing), slow posting.

    Post Length: Ahahahaha...anywhere from 100 to 700 words, as needed.
    Posting Pace: Whenever I can. At least twice a day, occasionally only once.

    18+ Threads: I see nothing wrong with it.


    Interest

    Don’t Care Argon: The thrill of winning against another person at the table.
    RP, as I see, is collaborative fiction. There are no ‘winners’ or ‘losers’.

    Don’t Care Catharsis: A feeling of release that follows an intense or overwhelming experience.
    Not too much? Catharsis is more intuitive and hands-on; I’ll stick to my games, aye!

    Enjoy Expression: The simple desire to be creative in the RP Humor: RP’ing for laughs.
    We all need a good laugh.

    Enjoy Kenosis: The feeling of being deeply engaged in the character or in the fiction as a whole.
    An immersive story is one worth reading, re-reading, and re-re-reading.

    Enjoy Ludus: Fun from working the system optimizing performance within the rules.
    While it is of no fault of the maker of the system, it is fun to exploit it, see just how ridiculous results can be from an unintended direction.

    Need Paida: Free-wheeling player fun, where rules are a convenience.
    Must I elaborate?

    Need Sociability: The fun of being able to spend time with other people and enjoy their company.
    RP is a social act, and I often befriend people I RP with, regardless of how the RP might turn out.

    Ambiguous Alea: The gambler’s thrill, the fun of taking a big risk, the tension that comes with it, win or lose.
    Not a risk-taker, hehehe...

    Need Closure: The feeling that there’s nothing more that needs to be done, and the thing is finished.
    See things through to the end, or something resembling it.

    Enjoy Fiero: The feeling of triumph, or winning, of defeating a challenge, or overcoming adversity.
    A form of catharsis, I think...but certainly enjoyable!

    Enjoy Kairosis: The feeling of fulfillment that comes from change and development.
    To make an impact is good.

    [b4Need[/b4] Naches: The enjoyment of seeing someone that you have taught, or are responsible for, go on to do well with that knowledge.
    My singular most favorite part of RP.

    Don’t Care Schadenfreude: Delight in the suffering of another. the thrill of seeing the antagonist get what they deserve is a pretty common expression.
    RP is a storyline, and all the characters are fiction. I won’t judge your enjoyment, but I don’t see much pull in it.

    Do Not Want Venting: The desire to work out player frustrations or other emotions, using the RP as a means.
    Perhaps I am too harsh, but Real Life and Roleplay must be kept separate to the best of one’s abilities, I think.

     
  2. The Consummate Professional

    Cyriac Smith imagined up a character, a classic rogue with a set of really specialized but basic skills that goes toe-to-toe with the denizens of Terrasphere. Christening him as Cyriac Felix, he’s utterly dedicated to the roleplay, loving the immersion but is wont to break it. A fun character, pleasant to be around except for his more mercenary tendencies

    • Quest: Scarred Leatherworker - a notorious criminal has escaped from the Druuk Island prison and needs to be captured. Three novices set out to do just that.
    • Private: Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor… - After the abdication of the king and the dismantling of the feudal system, a local lord exerts his influence to harass the locality. The soldiers of the nascent government are unable to face him with brute force, and so ask the assistance of four adventurers to help them wrest an advantage.
    • DM Challenge: That Belongs In A Museum - The Ynglar Brotherhood tasks a group of fairly skilled but magically weak adventurers to collect a rare artifact from a cave full of a race of intelligent and possibly violent goatmen. They accept, but unlike most times, their fate is uncertain...

    • Open: Into the Mountains - Cyriac arrives in Terrasphere for the first time, and in his exploration, he meets another new player, as well as a veteran. They were approached by a miner asking for help against kobolds, and Cyriac prompts the group into action.

  3. The Kindest Heart


    Harry Riven, true to his nature as a good person with a good heart, made his character Manya Boole to embody that goodness. Perhaps a bit naive and airheaded, Manya is still an advocate of truth, order, justice, and benevolence. He wishes to be a powerful magician, wielding a well-balanced set of protective magic...but the allure of Black Magic tests his resolve often.

    • Private: World of Possibilities - The young White Magician travels to Stokbon for the first time, but he is met by a bully, the violent kind. It is perhaps the first time his optimism and kindness is challenged, but then a Yladian stranger assists him, chasing the other man off. Who could this be? (3)
    • Private: Operation Save The Little Ones - Manya happens to be in the right place and the right time to stop a severe act of cruelty that was aimed at his racial brethren, but he first stumbles into the group with his eyes scorched from Black Magic. Something unsettling is stirring within Manya, and all these dark and harrowing experiences he's going through do little to suppress it... (10)
    • Private: Exercising Demons - Among a meeting of four, one suggests a grand quest, involving demons and exorcism and perhaps the potential of death and/or perversion. As a White Magician, Manya instantly signs on to watch Ivan's back, except one thing...
      It's 'exercise', not exorcise.
      Everything else remains the same, though. And so, leg day begins! (9)
    • Private: Botanophobia - Manya finds himself exploring the wilderness once more, but he finds himself wandering into dangerous groves, places where powerful magic lingers and where itty bitty Faerins like him aren't supposed to be. But thankfully, an expert woodsman is sent after him, to teach him something about herbalism. (5)
    • Open: Storm's a Brewin' - Manya wanders int to a most horrible act, the murder of an innocent man by a self-proclaimed Queen. This marks a turning point in his nature, as he starts to question his stance of complete goodness and non-violence. (6)

    Completed:
    • Private: Lady Of Black Magic - In the end, Madison taught Manya the basics of Black Magic as well as a harsh lesson - force was necessary in this world. The notion of a balance between healing and harm will drive Manya to be balanced in his actions. Besides that, Madison referred him to two other powerful magicians, a witch and a necromancer. (4)
    • Private: Ant-eloper - This particular adventure ends with Manya and Milah taking the anteloper buck and doe back to Granny Fairweather. More so than that, Manya has made a friend and someone who lives close by in Real Life too! (2)
    • Private: Dabbling Newbies - Their battle with the Dire Giant Bat ending in a resounding victory, the newbie duo make their way to the end of the cave, and finally mark their names on the walls. Naturally, they look forward to many more adventures in the future, and the two part ways with a song(!) by Crimson Ruby, the Entrancing Siren! (1)
    • Open: A Requiem to the Departed - Manya leaves with a new fire in him. People dying to a game...he must find the truth behind it, and stop it if possible! His morals would not allow him to stand by and watch, after all. Other than that, he also accepts Bradwynne's offer to teach him White Magic. (Q)
    • Open: Ivan's Curry House - Manya meets quite a few colorful characters! From the mysterious and cute Hanna-chan to the medium Ash Vargold, to Aurora Labyrinth, a cheerful and pretty girl, he now expects to meet them all again, later! (8)

    • (7) Return To Bryrwich: Manya returns to Madison, but this time he comes not with a pure heart, but the desire to hurt others.
    • (Q) Philadelphia Calls: Manya travels to America, a desperate race to save someone who might be dead or dying. On the way, he has to comb through the words and witnesses he had been given, to see past the lies and into the truth of what's happening.
    • (?) Lady of Black Magic Pt. 2: Manya goes to meet the woman that Ivan despises and Madison recommended - Lucia Mierz
    • (?) DIssonant Martyrs, Dissonant Heroes: There's nothing more impressive to Manya Boole, than listening to the accounts of those who fought Titanius.
    • (?) Guts! And! Effort!: It was easy to be bad, but much harder to be good. Manya seeks out a legendary genki girl to ask her about justice - what is it, and how is it defined?
    • (Q) No Queen Of Mine: Manya has taken it upon himself to spread the news of Vivian's claim for royalty, and assembles people together in the hopes that when she makes a move, they'll be ready.
