Despite having spent quite a long time in the game already, Katarina still found herself returning to her roots. Namely, the place where she had first spawned in. It was a lovely memory, one which brought a flicker of a smile to her face as she walked through the overgrown forest. Stepping over huge green roots which had grown too large, ducking under low-hanging twigs which seemed to have their mind set on scratching her pretty face. It was both fun and challenging, it was surely going to improve her rogue-esque abilities drastically. Or not at all, who knew... After walking for a bit, Katarina slowed down to a halt, taking a moment to just admire the beautiful scenery. The incredible detail which was in every single inch was almost enough to make Katarina forget about the outside world. The only thing which kept her grounded was the huge weight on her chest, a weight which was pretty noticeable when compared to real life. She looked down at her chest, wondering if she should have made her character less-endowed. It was probably something which would most-likely get in the way when she was fighting, but it also served as a way to distract her enemies. Specifically the ones who were attracted to females. While examining the surroundings, she did more than use her eyesight. Sure, the view was amazing, but the smells and sounds were what really sold the realism to her. The sound of a bird flapping above her, each of its black feathers beating furiously to keep it air-born could be heard echoing around the small clearing she had found herself in. She grinned, breathing in through her noes deeply. Not only did the forest look and sound real, it also smelt real. As in, it had the smell which only be described as "Woody", it was one which was difficult to describe. In fact, all smells were difficult to describe. Mind. Blown. She sat down with her back against a huge tree, her eyes never stopping their scan around her surroundings. It was hot. Blisteringly so. If this was real life, her usual pasty skin would likely be turning a nasty shade of pink or red right now. But fortunately, she had designed her character to have a natural tan, making the inevitable sun-burn a lot more difficult to affect her. She reached into her right jean pocket and brought out a silver, metal canteen. Greedily, she reached with her opposite hand and 'uncorked' the container with a satisfying 'pop' as it was released from its semi vacuum. She let the hand fall to her side, as she brought the hand gripping the canteen up to her lips, chugging nearly 1/2 of the container in seconds, some of the water dripping down the side of her face as she drank. She brought the canteen away from her mouth, letting out a satisfied breath after drinking. The heat really made someone thirsty, who would've thought? She eyed the canteen angrily, shaking it slightly in her hand. She sighed upon feeling that the canteen was mostly empty, great. But hey, at least she had the opportunity to drink quite a lot. Therefore satisfying her thirst. She continued to sit down, before deciding that it was wayy to hot to actually be wearing a long-sleeved shirt. What made it worse, was the fact that the shirt's sleeves were too tight, so she couldn't roll it up. So, she did what any sane person would do in this situation. She simply unbuttoned the shirt, leaned forward slightly and took off the shirt. Leaving her in nothing but a plain black bra and some jeans. Dumping her - now discarded - shirt on the forest floor beside her, Katarina rested both her hands on the back of her head, and leaned backward into the tree. Having the look of someone who was taking a nap, but she was doing nothing more than just simply relaxing in a forest... Without a shirt on. You see, this was what gaming was all about. The ability to do usually non-socially-acceptable things with little to no regard for the consequences. Yippee!
Ko had been playing the game off and on since he had first spawned in this place. Terra was well it was everything he could hope for and more. He wanted to see the more really but he was satisfied currently with the fact that everything felt so real. Climbing a tree felt like he was doing it in the back yard of his house or at the grounds where he practiced or out back his dojo. The smell of the air was something that simply reminded him of home and then the many places he had gone around too in competitions. The sky was just the right shades of blue at the different times of the day and for the different tempratures. It was almost too perfect and sometimes he found himself forgetting that he was in a game. Which made it a little interesting for him too. Still all he wanted to do was play and explore in this new world. More than he ever did in the world that was outside of this game. Ko moved through the forest he had first spawned in. Mostly because this place felt like home. The cities always had too many people in them or there were people that were still very excited about being in game. They towns and villages got too noisey for his liking so the forest where he spawned or the wilds outside of town were the best places to be to him. Or places no one had touched yet. He wondered where he might want to explore later today. He had all day to be in the game and all night too. Not that he needed sleep he didn't have any competitions or anything to worry about for the next few days so he should be okay to simply make his life all about a game. He would have to log off to eat at some point if he remember or if someone in his family decided to poke him to let him know eating it was a thing. He was up in a tree looking around at the forest floor when his mind was wandering to things outside of the game. Once he figured out what was going on he closed his eyes and calmed himself to where he was nothing but a blank slate not thinking of anything but the place he was at right now. The here and now was all that mattered. Everything else could be taken care of later. He opened his eyes taking look at the trees around him. there were branches leaning over into one canopy or another almost interlocking some of the trees like they were in this forests outside of the game. But this just seemed to fit perfect. Like all things in nature should be. He came to the end of the branch he was on and moved gently as he could onto the branch of another tree a smile coming to his face. He could do this outside of the game but he was glad that he set himself up to still be able to do it in game and since he was on low enough branches not to cause himself to die if he fell he was happy with the progress he could make. He did however drop out of the tree breaking a twig and cursing himself for doing so. He was usually better at that. Oh well it wasn't like he could be perfect he'd only just started this game and it wasn't like he could get to the top of everything without some effort in figuring out how he needed to move here. He had landed too hard so he would have to check that the next time that he dropped out of a tree. At first he didn't notice anything unusual in the forest or even another person. That was until he was back up sitting in a tree just chilling out and enjoying the heat even in the forest. he almost felt like it would be nice to have a little bit of rain come through just to make the place glisten and maybe cool it down just a little bit. It wasn't until vibrant red hair caught his attention that he knew that someone was below him. And then when she took off his shirt he blinked a few times. She was definitely pretty but as much as she was a distraction right now he felt it rude to stare and so he adverted his eyes and looked back out across the forest canopy before he jumped down on the other side of the tree this time at least he didn't snap a twig loudly but there was a snap. He shook his head as he rounded to the other side where the red head was. "Nice weather we are having isn't it." he half said and half questioned her as he scanned the area. If she was out here there was possibly more people and possibly there were animals just waiting to strike. Wolves had the tendency to do that and if you let your guard down for too long things could get interesting. @Katarina Akiri
Ahhh, she breathed a satisfied sigh. The weather was glorious! It was quite a large contrast to the fairly average weather of New York City. What a better way to spend her day, than sitting cooped up in her tiny apartment, but actually being in a fun and vibrant world because of virtual reality. Where the colours were intensely saturated and the weather was very nice indeed. Exactly, there were none. She began to close her eyes, the mix between the heat and her general tiredness mixing together to make her begin to sleep. She began to lose her grip on consciousness, slipping into the realm between sleep and awareness. She welcomed the feeling, letting it envelop her, taking her down, down, down! Just when she was about to sleep, the sound of the woods was momentarily disrupted via some boy, thinking it suitable to walk up to a woman when she was shirtless, and make a comment about the weather. Any normal person would of jumped at the sudden interjection, Katarina only scowled, opening one eye to take in the boy's form. He was reasonably attractive, that wasn't something she could lie about. But for a man to just come and interrupt her when she was trying to sleep? That was a big no. It seemed this man had unknowingly started off on the wrong foot with Katarina. It wasn't his fault though, Katarina would of normally welcomed the company. It was just that today was the wrong day to speak to her, she was tired, hot and grumpy. "Indeed." She almost spat, her usually loud and boisterous voice coming out like venom. It was then that she remembered something, she didn't have her shirt on! In a slight panic, the redhead sat up, grabbed her shirt and pulled it on, neglecting to actually do the buttons up though. So she was basically just covering up her arms, truly, she was such a modest person. After putting her shirt on, she realised that she may of just been a little bit rude to this stranger for practically no reason. Being one who loved company, completely rejecting a handsome stranger was a pretty strange thing to do. The heat truly had a way of bringing the worst out of her. She stood up, dusting her back off before walking up to the stranger. She extended her hand outward to the stranger, intending for him to shake it. "Sorry about that, the heat makes me quite unnecessarily volatile." She started "Still, sneaking up to a woman when she's most vulnerable is not the politest of things to do. I'll forgive you just this once though. My name's Katarina Akiri, and you are?" she asked, her emerald eyes twinkled, she loved meeting new people.
Ko had not thought about the fact that the woman before him was actually trying to sleep out here in the forest. However, he also had a feeling that it would not be a good idea to just leave her there. He was a protector by nature and sometimes he did things that usually got him slapped and he had such good discipline that he didn't usually do anything back to the person. He hadn't really meant to sneak up on her. He had figured the sounds he had made would be enough to alert her but he was so very wrong about that when she nearly bit off his head with one word. He took a deep breath and backed up a bit to give her more personal space while still scanning the area. Heat did a number to some people. Ko was used to the fact that heat was a part of the world. He was not truly working out or doing anything he love with out sweating just a little bit. But heat even got to him sometimes. He would admit that it was hot in the forest today but he was still learning what might be the optimal settings for this world. He watched and then turned away as she put her shirt back on giving her privacy because that's what any decent gentlemen would do. He meant no harm in any of it. If he had been one of the many guy gamers that had not seen a female gamer before maybe he would be fawning over the size of her breasts and everything else that he could have seen but he was not that type of guy. He could appreciate her beauty and then treat her like a decent human being. He turned when it seemed appropriate to turn back around and watched as she dusted herself off. "I'm sorry myself. I did not mean to startle or sneak up on you. Though I am unsure if the forest is entirely safe for not keeping one's eye out." He gave her a smile as he shook her hand. His grip firm but not so much so that it would hurt anyone. A gentle sort of firmness to say the least. "Thank you for the forgiveness and I'm Kohaku though most people just call me Ko." He really rathered that they did but he never said it all that much outloud. Just those that knew him well. "Pleasure to Meet you Katarina." He noted the twinkle in her emerald eyes. He found himself lost in the twinkle of her eyes for a moment keeping himself from traveling anywhere that was not appropriate for speaking terms. He was a gentlemen like that. The seventeen years olds upbrining gave him that much. He knew better. "I do hear that there might be a better place to cool off though I haven't explored the entire map around the beginning area just yet." @Katarina Akiri
Okay, wow, this boy was a lot more polite than she had previously anticipated. She was the one who was obviously in the wrong there, yet the boy still apologised. She smiled warmly, the smile itself inciting warmth and friendship. She decided that she already liked him, he was probably pretty smart, he was handsome, not to mention how nice he was! It was like a dream, she had a quick thought flash through her mind of them getting together for a date one night. But she quickly suppressed it, having fantasies over a guy she had only just met was practically asking for trouble. She giggled when he seemed to almost fawn over her eyes, it was cute, she dug it. When he mentioned the part about "Cooling off" her eyes suddenly widened as if remembering something, a huge grin threatening to split her face appeared. "I know just the place, follow me!" She beamed, grinning like a mad-woman. She spun on her heels and started sprinting as fast as her legs could carry her through the forest. Managing to use her rogue-like reflexes to dodge the majority of the dangers. I.E: The thorns. But she somehow managed to catch the right shoulder of her shirt on a sharp twig, ripping it slightly, yet leaving her smooth skin unblemished. Phew, she really dodged a bullet there. After about a minute of running, Katarina would stop in the place she knew very well. It had been one of the first places she had seen after logging in, how could she forget it? A huge expanse of crystal blue water, found in a huge clearing in the centre of the woods. It was beautiful. The sky reflected off the lake perfectly, giving the illusion that the lake itself had clouds floating in it. She needed to swim in it, thinking about how cool it was, she just couldn't help herself. The water lay still, that was something that Katarina was going to fix. She started to take off her shirt again, but then remembered that there was a guy who was presumably following her. Would it be immodest to just remove her shirt? She wasn't entirely sure, but the boy had already seen her in a quite compromising state, would it be too much of a difference to see her without jeans as well? If the boy had followed her, Katarina would turn around and look at him again. "Do you want to go for a swim?" She asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement yet again. If she wasn't as old as she was, she would definitely be bouncing up and down right now.
Most boys his age would be telling him to totally just check her out like she was a piece of meat or something that was just there to sit there and look pretty for them. He was not that type of man. He had been raised in his mind in proper society but that had mainly come from the nanny that he'd had and the other members of staff that reminded him constantly that he was not to be some entilted little prick which he was not. He was actually a very honest young man unless you counted what he did in games. But hey playing the rogue and the assassin and the bad guy when you were generally a good guy was always fun for awhile. so would he make himself a good or bad guy here that was the question. It was too soon to tell. There was so much the world had to offer and if he kept meeting people like Katarina he might have to change his mind on some things. When he mentioned cooling off she seemed to brighten up more and he couldn't help but smile at this. It was the first time that he was actually geninuenly smiling around someone that was possibly older than himself. It was a rare thing to see on his face when he wasn't in a game or something like that. When she spun on her heels he got ready to follow her as she sprinted off. He could do with some cooling off as well. He dodged and made sure to skip over some of the thorns. One caught his pants but did nothing more then pull at the edge and rip them a bit. He made not to be more careful and when he finally got to the clearing his own eyes light up like a kid in a candy shop. "Wow this a beautiful." It was so nice and he really wanted to jump in and then he wasn't sure if it would be appropriate to go down into just the boxers that they had been given when they started the game. he's managed to get some jeans. "I'm totally up for a swim." He said with a smile on his face and then he took off his shirt. No shirtless there was some tone to his body. he bit his lower lip but then took off his pants leaving him in his boxers as he laid his clothes out perfectly on the side. "Go ahead and get comfortable. I mean I'm sure you don't want to swim in jeans." He had rememebred being pushed in the water once with all his stuff on. He had not been a happy camper about that. It took him another moment before he practically jumped into the water. @Katarina Ariki
She had a huge, wide grin when he agreed with her, it seemed her (Obviously right) view on stripping down to her underwear and jumping into a lake was shared between them. She loved it, adventuring was fun! In fact, if she was completely alone, she would of likely completely stripped off into nothing at all, she was a world class adventurer after all. Her slender fingers were already fumbling with the finicky jean button as her gaze followed the lean boy running and jumping into the lake. It was a truly majestic sight. It was as if he was running in slow motion. As he jumped, she had finally managed to undo that stupid button. She was incredibly jealous right now, that water looked cool. And he here was, jumping into the pool, while Katarina had only just undone her jeans. Screw it, she thought. Following this rather vulgar thought, Katarina just simply started sprinting towards the lake, jeans only half way down her legs, resting at her knees. Through some miracle, Katarina somehow managed to get off her jeans and shirt by the time she reached the lake-side. With them both off and left discarded in crumpled messes behind her, Katarina took an almighty leap. Soaring through the air like some kind of redheaded avenging war goddess. "Wahooooooooooooooooooooo" she cried, somehow jumping twice the distance that he had jumped. She plunged into the crystal blue lake with an almighty splash, sending water arcing through the air. She plunged deep into the lake, the cool water surrounding her like a cocoon. It was heaven. She wished that she could somehow breath under water, or at least find some way to preserve this feeling forever. Unfortunately though, like most humans, Katarina had to come up for air. She quickly came up to the surface, gasping for air once she reached it. She grinned, leaning back in an upward-facing 'Starfish' position. She let out a sigh of satisfaction, keeping her breathing even so as not to suddenly sink. "This feels great." she whispered, probably audible enough for her friend to hear. Her red hair was splayed out in all directions, a beautiful contrast to the blue of the lake.
The water felt absolutely amazing. So much so that he wanted to stay underwater far longer than he was supposed to. Still he came up to make sure that everything was okay and couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that Katarina had literally run to the edge with her clothes haphazardly discarded. It was one of those things. He watched as she jumped in and to avoid the splash dove under the water and kinda bobbed with the movement of the water as she made her splash and moved the water. He smiled as he came up. this was truly nice on such a hot day in the game. He wondered how many of these little gems were in the world. He took not however of when she came up and looked a bit like a starfish. It was amusing to him actually. He had only seen a few starfish but what had him the most interested was the contrast of her hair against the water. He spoke before his let his mind ponder the beauty. "It really is great. The water is just perfect." Even though this world was virtual. He felt more alive like things just seemed a little more real. But that was completely crazy wasn't it. Simply crazy beyond measure right. He shook it off and took another breath going onto his back as well. His mind admiring her red hair against the water. In most games the red in the water just always looked like blood. But in this one. It looked more like something else. It didn't seem like it was blood in the water. It was something more vibrant and he wanted to capture that image in his mind's eye. Not only because she was beautiful but because this whole scene was beautiful. he wondered what it was that was meant to happen as one found their way in this world. Were they to lay claim to everything around them and build it or where they to find land that was perfect for it like this little gem. And then have fights over it all the time to keep it. he wondered what a rogue like him could do for this new world. "how do you like the game so far." he said softly so as not to do away with the tranquil like quality of the moment. @Katarina Akiri
Within the beautiful moment, the usual cockiness and arrogance of her personality was replaced with just a calm and serene one. It was like the calm after the storm. Was that how that saying went? Who knew, but it encompassed this scene perfectly. She breathed evenly, listening to how her friend thought that the water was perfect. She agreed. She turned over and started gently front crawling closer to him, being extra careful to not disturb the water too much. They were both practically whispering after all, she needed to be able to hear him without obstructions. His voice was oddly calm, only adding to the still mood of the current scene. It was nice, she wished he would just speak about random things. She didn't want to ask him to do it though, it was an odd request. It would be too embarrassing, even for her. Once he asked the question, Katarina took a moment to think. She was definitely enjoying it so far, it offered as a sort of "Escape" from her boring and monotonous reality. It was also featured a ground-breaking immersion system, it was unlike anything she had ever experienced before. Gaming was nice, going into practically another dimension was nicer. "I love it, everything is just so... Real." She whispered, speaking as softly as she could without becoming inaudible to her friend. She paused a second, taking in the coolness surrounding her. "Judging from the fact that you're in this forest, you must be pretty new. What do you think? The first time is always a little disorientating." she smiled, still speaking quietly. She wished she could just sleep on the water, it was too pleasant to not be wishing this.
Ko was always a quiet being unless of course he was talking about the things he loved and still there was a calm sereness about him. He was just one of those kids that only raised his voice when he was really irritated and he was less for speaking and more for action. As to him actions always spoke louder then words and it was the words said in the silence that held the most weight so he did choose words carefully at times where it was crucial that he did. He could let loose and be a dork too though which his best friends knew was possible to get him too. The few friends he kept around him that was. He noted Katarina crawling a bit over to him probably so she could hear him better. He thought for a moment at the scene and the way this might have looked to other and found himself completely not caring what other thought of it at the moment. So when she finally answered his words about the game and how she liked he couldn't help but chuckle yet again. He thought about the words that she said and what she had asked him. "I'm fairly new to this game but the full immersion dives i've been reading about. The whole then that happened in japan a few years back and the regulations for it here in america. I keep up to date with that stuff. I couldn't just let this chance slip me by. I'm still getting my skills up." He laughed to himself. "I'm a rogue for the most part. focus on throwing weapons. What about you?" he could talk about random things but since she had asked. He wasn't a complete newb on the VR thing he did a few things in AR when it was allowed but full dive immersion. It had been a bit off putting at first but he got used to it quick. He usually adapated well to things. Thanks to the martial arts discipline and thanks to the fact that he wanted to be able to do that but there were certain people that if they were gone he'd be pissed but he could handle it better now. or at least he hoped he could. It would be just right for them to fall asleep in the water talking. It was relaxing and felt nice but his concious brain told him falling asleep in water meant the possibility of drowning and he wasn't too keen on that idea. "What's been your favorite part so far?" @Katarina Akiri
His soothing voice continued to bring a serene mode to the scene. She just couldn't get enough of it, she briefly wondered if he sounded like this in real life. Katarina herself sounded completely different, in real life, she had an English accent and had a timid voice. Here, it was relatively loud and annoying, her accent wasn't very clear either. She wondered if the game somehow distorted accents, that was an interesting thought. Ooh, so he was a rogue to? That was cool, that explained how he had managed to stay so close her as she ran through the woods. He seemed to focus on throwing weapons though, she wondered what his third mastery was though. She decided to ask him once he finished speaking. "Me? I'm a rogue as well, i just love travelling around without any limits to where i can go. You know, being acrobatic and all. I don't focus on acrobatics though, I'm more partial to getting up close and personal with my opponents, the only weapon i have is a dagger which i received from a rather talented weapon-smith." She had accidentally gone into a small speech, she kind of sucked at condensing her words. It was both a blessing and a curse. The boy seemed to want to speak some more, and who was she to interrupt this boy when he was speaking in that voice of his? He asked about her favourite part, that was a rather difficult question to answer. See, she had enjoyed every moment in this world. Her secret mission with her 'Fake husband', that one time she had accidentally started a bar fight in some city. And now this, laying on the surface of a lake, with pretty much no clothing on. Next to a boy who was doing the same. In fact, now that she thought about it, anyone who walked in right now would probably be quite confused. After all, it wasn't everyday that one got to saw a semi-naked girl and boy laying in a lake together. Most people would probably just think it was a mirage due to the heat. "I guess my favourite part is..." She paused, mulling over all her experiences in Terrasphere. "Probably right now actually. Everything else has been incredibly fun, but this just tops it all. Nothing beats relaxing on the surface of a cool lake while the sun continues to send its never-ending waves of heat. It's something that you can't really experience in the world world, a truly special treat." After speaking, Katarina would fall silent for a few minutes, enjoying the incredibly cool water which was lapping around her form. She could do this forever, but unfortunately she came to the conclusion that if she didn't get out soon, she might never leave. So, with a heavy heart, she gently swum out of the water, enjoying the last few moments in the coolness as she delicately stepped out of the lake. She sighed, sprawling out on the soft grass, facing upward toward the sun. She needed to dry off, putting on clothes while her undergarments were still wet was not something that she wanted to experience. She snaked her hands underneath her head, interlocking both of her hands. Today had been plenty fun, she wanted to talk with Ko some more, just not in a place which she feared she would never leave if she stayed to long.
In places of quiet and those small moments of clarity Ko thought of something. If Terrasphere could be everything he wanted it to be what would he truly make it and who would he want to spend his time in game with for a large majority of it. Would setting up a guild make him happy. Would free roaming as a solo player make him happy. What would make the young man happy. He was turning eighteen in the real world in three months and here he was contemplating how he wanted to design his very own place in a world that was hidden. he wondered really if this meant he was hiding who he truly was but then on the other hand he sorta knew that he was. Because he had to prescribe to something out there in the real world. He mentally shook himself. This is what happened when he let his mind wander when it was so silent around him and barely anything but relaxation was going on. He was brought back down to reality as Katarina mentioned that she was a rogue too but one that liked to get up close and personal with a dagger. A dangerous game that only really rogues could play anyways. They were the ones that people watched. After all they had the ability to rob you blind if you weren't careful. Though all in all most people who played rogues were good. It was the assassins you had to watch out for and he was one of those. Mostly cause he could move his moods one way or another. But it was nice to know there were other rogues out there which meant that a rogues guild wouldn't be such a bad idea. He felt the water move and looked over watching her swim out of the water. He tilted his head but he figured he would stay in just a little bit longer before he'd go out and dry himself off. He hadn't learned yet if he could create his fire enough to actually dry himself quicker. He hadn't thought of trying to engulf himself in the flames mostly because you did not play with flames like that. He soon followed her out of the water and laid down in the grass giving personal space but also being close enough to hear her and her hear him. This seemed more natural a conversation here then most of his own conversation in the real world. He smiled when she said that this was her favorite part so far. Well he could admit this was the top of his list too. Though he might not have had as many experiences as she had had in the game just yet. "Hmm what might you thoughts on a rogue's guild be?" He questioned her seemingly out of the blue. His voice was still soft but it showed her that he was thinking of the moment and the future all at once. Eh he'd figure this out now was what he needed to be in. And now the sun was beaming down drying them but he let a small flame appear in hand were he sat. It sputtered at first because his hand was wet but it came to life and did do a bit of a job drying off his hand an arm but that was about it. It looked like the sun it was until he got better control. "Oh i might have forgot to mention I'm a pyromancer too." He let out a chuckle. @Katarina Akiri
She watched the boy leave the water with a smile, she was actually enjoying this a lot. It was probably one of the most words she had spoken in a short amount of time ever. Her smile broadened when he sat close to her, but not too close. But to be honest, for Katarina, if the boy were to actually sit next to her and wrap his arms around her beck, she probably wouldn't even object. Heck, she'd probably even allow him to kiss her. This boy was just so damn... How do you put it? Nice? Yeah, nice. And she loved it. He interrupted her fantasies by asking her quite a strange question. A guild? Of rogues? Weren't rogues all supposed to be back-stabbing fiends? At least, that's what magnitudes of MMO played had taught her. She smiled, picturing a group of thieves living in the huge tree houses among the forest. Living purely by hunting and the land. Oh, and stealing from people of course, couldn't forget that important detail. No seree. "I think that'd be... Interesting to say the least, in fact, i think it'd be an incredibly fun experience. Imagine, all of us, running across the rooftops, being hidden among the shadows. No one would know who or what we were." Her face lit up "Imagine how much fun that would be!" She said, her face split into a wide smile. Whoops, she had gone off on another tangent. With little to no practice with socialising in the real world, of course she sucked in VR as well. It was practically a given. After her little gush about rogues, she looked at her friend for a second, taking in his semi-naked frame, committing it to her memory banks. Suddenly, a small flame appeared in his hand. Albeit a small one, but a flame nonetheless. Her eyes widened, the flame dancing in her jade eyes. Her mouth stood agape, flame? In his hand? What sorcery was this! She grinned, shuffling up close to him until they were little more than about 1 foot apart from each other. A distance which Katarina was perfectly content with, but she wasn't so sure about Ko. He soon explained himself, telling her about his third speciality which she had completely forgotten to ask about. A pyromancer? She gasped, it was very cool. What kind of kid didn't dream about shooting fireballs from their hands? Exactly, this guy was the friend that just kept on giving. He was absolutely brilliant. "Whoaa" She marvelled, watching the flame blink from existence with a hint of disappointment in her eyes. Had she been some kind of kid, Katarina would of likely begged and pleaded him non-stop for him to do it again. Because she was a dignified adult, she did no such thing. "That's pretty awesome," she started "Truth be told, I didn't even know that magic was a thing in this game. I thought it was all about swords and stuff," She nervously chuckled. She looked at him while chuckling, the way he looked, talked, behaved. It was all perfect. A red tint appeared on her cheeks, she really needed to step down these strange fantasies. Heck, she hadn't even known this guy for that long. But they had already seen each other in pretty much the least amount of clothing possible before going naked. She decided to tell him how she felt, at least, tell him that she liked him in some way or form. Aware of the 1 foot gap between them, Katarina looked straight at his face, her cheeks red. "You know what, Ko, I like you," she immediately regretted saying that. Her face turned even redder and she looked away from him, obviously completely embarrassed by her sudden confession. Quick! She needed some way to redeem herself, "I mean... Not like like. I mean, like... You know... Friends." she stuttered, tripping over each word. Oh god, this was so embarrassing. She abruptly stood up and grabbed both of her clothes, shoving her jeans on first, putting her T-Shirt on, then her shoes. She then sat down, pretty far away from him. Sure, she could probably just escape this situation by logging out. But this was something she needed to deal with herself. Besides, despite her embarrassment, she was still probably going to remember this for a long time, this was something that needed to be seen through to the end. She had shared quite a special moment with Ko, the kind that isn't forgotten easily.
If Ko had been anyone but who he was he probably would have sat down next to Katarina and wrapped arms around her and all of that. But that was not who he was. He was not a womanizer and he was kinda one of those guys that had to be hit upside the head when people actually did like him in that sort of way or found him attractive. He had a few of his buddies tell him how naive he was in that but then could you blame him. His brother's were in their high school years, with one girl or another every other month. Granted his eldest brother stopped that his second year but still. They were always so good at picking up the ladies and though he had the looks to do it for some he was too quiet for others. And well oblivious as some of his friends put it but hey he had other things that usually occupied his mind and it was the females in his martial arts classes that got his attention anyways. His thoughts on a rogue guild was really for them to have fun testing eachother and possible grouping up to do bigger dungeons and all that. Plus there were assassins guilds and rogue guilds on other types of games. Regardless of the fact that theives and assassins in general liked to stab many a person in the back that was all part of it. But honestly it wasn't like rogues didn't have their den of thieves and what not. Plus it might be nice to have a place dedicated to them and possibly helping newer players figure out what it was they were supposed to be doing with this type of skill set. Though the down side of having rogues in one place would be the fact that they could get wipped out if someone really hated them. He would have to think on this but it was an entertain concept and it was Katarina who brought him out of his thought process. "My thoughts exactly. I mean there is no honor amoung thieves but there have been guilds that have been tailored to the craftier rogues." He would have to see after all there were so many different things you could do in this game but it really would be fun. After all that was the whole point of gaming was to have fun no matter what you were doing. He also didn't think she had gone off on a tangent. She actually seemed perfectly normal to him even if she might have felt that she was not practived in socializing. The only way he really knew how to socialize was through gaming and the things he too pride in. Everything else he pretty much just copied someone else. But he was charming and he got away with alot because of it it seemed sometimes. When he had been using his flame to dry off just a little bit he noted Katarina moving closer and yet he didn't back away. He never did if someone wanted to be that close to him so be it. She said something when he extinguished it and then chuckled when she noted that she hadn't realized there was magic in the game. "Well i wouldn't have known had it not come up when i was actually looking at some of the skills in depth and then i just had to choose pyromancy. You know you can take it as a skill later on if you wanted too." he gave her a smile. The tint of red that appeared on her cheeks actually complimented her complexion nicely. Brought out her eyes just a little bit more he noticed. Ko blinked at the words that came out of her mouth next. She seemed to be quickly trying to redeem herself for something that she didn't need to redeem herself for. "I'm glad you like me." He said and then thought for a moment. He got up and moved over closer to her. "I figured you didn't mean it, in the other way. I figured you meant as a friend." He established that one foot gap between them again. She seemed so flustered and embarrassed and he actually found it endearing which for the most part for those that knew him would be odd but he liked her too. "I like you too by the way." As a friend of course the boys mind was not on the other thing anyways. Plus she was actually making him relax more than he usually did when he played games and he wanted to spend more time with her. They seemed to float on the same wave length and that was a rare thing for him. @Katarina Akiri
She grinned when he reciprocated to her confession, blush disappearing from her face. Any other guy would have likely teased her about it, or even thought that she had meant it in the 'Love' kind of way. Kohaku - on the other hand - actually understood her, it was nice. She leaned back, putting resting her hands behind her, looking up at the sky then back to Ko's face. "You know, most people would've mocked me for that. You didn't," She grinned "Thanks." She then stood up, dusting herself down yet again. She looked around, she had had an idea, a rare thing to happen, yet it happened anyway. You see, since they were both rogues, Katarina wanted to test who the better one was. She was pretty sure that it was Ko, the dude looked pretty small and light, he would likely not have any trouble with doing what she had in mind. She flashed him a grin, her whites glistening in the sun. "Say, Ko, I would like to propose something. Who's the better rogue?" She laughed, a sweet sounding thing "Probably you to be honest." She scanned the area around her, her emerald gaze resting on two incredibly high trees sitting next to each other. Surprisingly, both the trees were exactly the same height, each with a different set of 'Foot Holds' (Basically just branches) which would allow someone to climb up at an extremely fast pace. "You see those trees? First one to the top wins! I'll go up the one on the right, let's go!" She started sprinting as fast as she could straight after saying this. Due to her longer legs, she would likely arrive at the trees a second of two before Ko. Unless he had somehow discovered a shorter route, which was highly likely due to his small stature. Upon reaching the tree, Katarina immediately bent her legs and jumped as high as she could, grabbing onto a nearby branch at the highest point of her jump. Using her incredible dexterity, Katarina managed to flip around the branch, landing delicately on top of it. She looked down, then up, noting that she was roughly 1/8 of the way up the tree. Then, using a mixture of her strength and speed, she clambered up the tree. Never stopping at all, her red hair making her look like a red flame crawling across the surface of a tree. She soon reached the top, breathing heavily and sweating quite a lot as well. She grinned, swiveling her head around to look at the other tree. Wondering if she had won or not.
