Personality
Zander has as many good traits as he has negative ones, they seem to balance each other out well. He is what would be considered a "perfect" solider due to his loyal and daring side. However despite being loyal, he is also more than willing to head off into the heat of the battle (even if he is not prepared for it). He has a tendency to be loud and almost explosive in his personality-- this even being taken in the type of mastery that he chose for himself. His pyromancy is something he is proud of and this is how he typically choose to show off his negative traits as well. Call him a bit of a pyromaniac. He loves to watch the flames grow and spread, sometimes allowing them to become out of control.
He is stubborn and has a bit of a habit to talk back. However if faced with the decisions of being loyal or unloyal-- he would end up stepping down and bowing his head as if he was a good little puppy dog. To some people, he will hold them as if they are the best thing out there and his own world-- but to others he might not be so nice to. It really just depends on the person and how they rub him upon meeting. Should he ever choose to follow a leader, he would be undyingly loyal to them. He would see them almost as if they were the only God and would even go as much as to die for them.
He has a bit of a superstitious side. He always feels as if he doesn't follow a certain routine that he might be struck down. Some topics due to this will be seen as touchy to him and his personality would do a complete 180. Also, he is sometimes self conscious of what he does (but only if someone happens to catch him in one of his superstitious acts or rituals.)

Biography
He hated his life, though he shouldn't-- he should love his life. He grew up in a rich household, he could have anything he wanted and he had a wonderful future set out for him. Though he hated it because it wasn't the future he wanted for himself. He even hated the name he was born with-- Vladimir. Growing up in such a place seemed great to the outside, but he didn't even have true friends thanks to his father's business. They were his friends out of fear, maybe some strange ones were friends with him out of pity-- but none of them were loyal. He had ideas of what his father was, but it wasn't until he was six that he realized the cold hard truth of the matter. His father was the leader of a branch of the Russian Mafia. Them living in Italy seemed like the perfect cover, had it not been for him leaving him with his mother most of the time.
His mother and father seemed to have the perfect marriage, but it was actually hanging on the ropes. He was twelve when they got a divorce, and that is when his life started to change forever, Before, he was in an excellent private school located in Rome, Italy-- this changed because his father decided to yank him out of the school and force him to go back to Russia with him. He was forced to be tutored at home by his new nanny, it was almost as if his father was punishing him. He despised the nanny so much. His only moments of happiness is when he would get to travel back to Italy to see his mother. He began to despise his father and all he stood for. His next turning point in his life came when he was sixteen, his mother ended up in an 'accident' the day she was coming to meet him for lunch. That was the official story any way, he believed it to be his fault because it had been his idea to go have lunch that day. He began to think of himself as a curse. This had all been a way to get Henric to focus on the family business and not get caught up in the life his foolish mother seemed to live in. He wouldn't find out about the hit on his mother until a year later.
Things turned from bad to worse. His mother had died, the nanny ended up becoming his new mother and to top it all off-- on his seventeenth birthday he found out about the truth on what happened to his mother. This only made him believe more in his self implied curse on himself because it had been done because of him. The information had been leaked to him by one of his father's men. He pretended like he didn't know the truth, but the first moment he was given an opportunity to leave Russia he took it. It was what his mother would have wanted for him. The nanny told him how selfish he was being, but he couldn't even be around her at all. He could have gone back to Italy to study, but it hurt him to be there at all. So he went further, going pass Russia and Italy and finally deciding to go somewhere he could start a new. This led him to Stanford University.
First thing he did was change his name from Vladimir Nabokov to Henrik Belikov. He would have used his mother's maiden name, but he didn't want to leave a trail for his father or his men to follow. He just wanted to be a normal guy, someone who had friends that his father didn't have to provide for him. He wanted to do normal things and not have to worry about the Russian Mafia. He could just be himself and no one had to know about his dark past. It was late on when he was twenty- five that he would check his email and see the email from Terrasphere. He figured he would give it a try, after all new things could end up bringing great possibilities.
