It was...a strange feeling. His first time coming to Terrasphere was decidedly weird - he felt nauseated first, from all the sensations. Taking a few moments to catch himself, he straightened up in the massive forest. And then the beauty of the place hit him. Emerald leaves hung from the trees, with morning dew still glistening on them. Soft sunlight filtered through the canopy, speckling the forest floor like a cheetah's spots. Under his feet, the dirt and mulch felt very real, and the earthy and clean scent of recent rains over grass and weeds hung over the place. The birds chirped on the trees, beginning their morning serenade. It was like a wild, untamed and rustic paradise. He could feel it, hear it, see it, almost taste it... "Amazing..." It really was amazing, there were no other words for it. So much controversy about full-dive, so many arguments against it quoting the danger and the sheer amount of complication it has, and he could see why they were so justified. Such a place...such an existence couldn't be possible without a flaw, right? This cannot truly be a perfect simulation of real life? But no. It was even more. He clenched his fist and opened it, and a smartphone-like screen appeared in front of him, in thin air. He began reading through, learning and understanding what had happened... He was in the game. He had spawned in Brisshal. This was his first hour in this land of...Falderen, and he was instructed to seek others like him, other adventurers, and make their way to Beginner's Cave, an affectionate name for a common location for new players to meet up at. He almost chuckled. It was such a wonderful feeling, being in here! Euphoric, amazing, dazzling! He threw his hands out and laughed, a soft and tinkling sound like the chiming of bells, mixed with a more child-like aspect to it. Eagerly, he began outfitting himself. Upon his head appeared a wide-brimmed wizard's hat. In his hands, an empty grimoire, not ragged and dark like most but fresh and new. And he grinned brightly. "I am the White Magician, Manya Boole!", he yelled out into the sky. Every single bit of it felt as real as if Harry was speaking himself... But Harry had to shine elsewhere. Here and now, this was Manya's time! With gusto, he set out in a rough bearing towards Beginner's Cave. What exciting adventure awaited him, then?! @Crimson Ruby
Darkness was the only thing Yuhan felt after finishing her character creation... The emptiness, the void... Her mind crawled in that empty space, looking for a way out... But this searching was needless, because in a matter of seconds, her new 'physical' yet virtual body would slowly come to it's senses. The first feeling she felt was the touch of the fresh grass on her skin- It was a little cold, but somehow it felt extremely comfortable. The second thing was the sound of the wildlife, the birds singing and the breeze shaking the treetops, that had their leaves slowly falling on her. The third thing... She didn't have patience for that. The Felis eyes opened widely, her pupils retracted with the sunlight, doing it's best to adjust the abrupt decision of the girl. Raising her body, the girl sitted on the ground, taking her time to look her surroundings. That world... That place... "Interesting..." She said, frowning slightly at her voice as she instinctively held her neck. Her voice was almost the same of her real life's voice... Except it sounded a bit more harsh, hoarse? It was hard to describe. That was also intriguing, specially for someone that liked to sing so much. "How... How it is like to sing with a voice that isn't yours... Hm-" She frowned a bit, deciding to test her voice a little... The girl stood up. "Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si~" ... The Felis pondered... 'Too timid...' Coughing to adjust her throat. "DOO~, REE~, MII~, FAA~, SOOOL~, LAAAA~, SIIIIII~!" The girl sang the notes in a much more assertive way... A small smile covered her lips. "DOOO, REEEE, MIIII, FAAAAA, SOOOOOL, LAAAAAAAA, SIIIIIIII~~!" She exclaimed melodically, making a few animals run away, while some stared intently with curiosity. Her eyes closed... 'Good.' What was most important for her was confirmed, so now she could worry about the rest. She turned and began walking, only to get herself tripping on something that was on the ground. Yelping, the girl stared startled at the object. Hidden: Object Her eyes blinked for her surprise at the ancient isntrument... One that she got to play a lot in her family's temple, it was a Liuqin. She tilted her head, crouching down to hold it with her hands before standing up. Analyzing it, the girl reminded herself of what she did a few minutes ago - She got to choose Harmonic Magic as one of her masteries... So maybe that musical instrument being there was part of her choice? Shrugging, the Felis held the instrument gently, testing it out to see if she could play it properly like in real life... She tried a few notes, and for her surprise not only she could play it properly - but she could play even more perfectly than she did normally. The girl looked at it, completely intrigued. "What kind of sorcery is this..?" She asked to no one in particular, and of course no one answered. Taking the silence as an opportunity, the Felis took her time to learn a little more about how to play in that world- She'd spend about one hour with a non-stop practice, until suddenly a screaming voice not only called her attention, but completely disrupted her composing process... She almost had a music ready for her first day in that game, so it was a big shame. The girl would probably be angry or frustrated for that happening, but luckily the curiosity to know what the person screaming was actually doing raised her interest first, so she decided to go and step in. Getting closer to the source of the scream, the Felis found a small and cute Faerin... Her head tilted, was that person another player? An pang of hesitation and insecurity striked the girl, as it was basically her major flaw. She decided to step away... But suddenly her memories recalled the words of her best friend, that invited her to that game for the sake of her meeting new people and experiencing new things. She frowned a bit at herself, looking back at @Manya Boole. The girl already did wrong enough by joining the game without telling her friend, that was pretty much a promise she had done- But now she was also ignoring a way to improve herself... The Felis sighed. 'I will probably regret this...' Coming back at stepping closer to the Faerin, the girl slowly reached the small boy. "H-Hi." And that was it... Probably? Was that the only thing she was going to say? Her face contorted at the milisecond awkwardness. "Uh... My name is Yu-" The girl frowned and almost punched her own guts, she almost told her real name to someone she barely met. "The name is Ruby..." She said, not expecting much from the man's attention. "What you doing?" Was that even how someone talked to another person? The Felis almost facepalmed. But the damage was already made, there was no turning back.
Manya was tromping through the forest, zero caution and fear to show for it, but then, he heard a mild voice. Almost like a squeak. He turned to look at the source of the noise. For a second, he saw a shade of red, but his eyes passed over it... Wait up! Red wasn't part of the natural color scheme in a forest! His eyes refocused, and then looked at the tall (relatively, that is) Felis who had stepped out from the shade in the forest. Manya looked at the girl, blinking a few times with his expression completely blank if painted with a curious stroke. She had really nice crimson hair down to her shoulders, and two Felis-ey ears. She looked nervous, but also had a hint of confidence in her, as she approached? She was holding an instrument - Manya quickly (and wrongly) identified it as a lute, and he studied her once more. It was another new player! His face broke out into a wide grin, the kind that made people relax and ease up. He just seemed to radiate friendliness and good intent that it would be hard to see him as a threat at all. He quickly marched on over to the other player, his hand extended. How rude of him! She had approached so openly and was introducing herself, yet he was so stoic and silent as he studied her. She must have felt dreadful! He berated himself for that lapse in manners, before stopping in front of Ruby, as she had introduced herself. His hand was still outstretched, straight forward and pointed a bit up to compensate for height. "Hi to you too, stranger! My name's Manya Boole, and it's so nice to meet you! And now we're no longer strangers, Ruby!" He was just full of optimism, he looked at her musical instrument with a bit of curiosity. "Oooh, is that a lute? Do you play the lute? Back there?" Back there, as in real life. In here, people gain so many strange and otherwise fantastic properties that learning to play the lute is not as impressive...but artisans in real life are equivalent with struggle and hard work just as much as they are to natural talent and skill! He grinned at her question, turning to point in a random direction. "I checked a map, and I saw that heading that way, there's this place. It's called 'Beginner's Cave', and apparently, new people here go in there to test themselves and prepare. They go all the way from the beginning to a cavern at the end, then carve their names into the rock as...well, for fun! And then they get back. Sometimes they race each other, but I don't want to rush it." He had read all this in what was a guide for new players, as well as on a few hidden BBS boards about this game. It took a bit of digging to find out, but it was cool trivia, nonetheless! Of course, he preferred to savor everything slowly, enjoying things and making his own pace. He looked at her, soulful and adorable brown eyes staring into yellow, cat-like ones. "Hey, we should go there together! It'll be an adventure...the first one, but definitely not the last!" Perhaps caution would be advised, considering how this girl was a total stranger, but the thing is, Manya believed that strangers will always remain strangers until someone reaches out and greets them, gets to know them. So he'd reach out to everybody, without abandon. He wanted to make friends and have fun here, after all! @Crimson Ruby
The Felis eyes frowned when being blinded by @Manya Boole's boom of cheerfulness- "T-Too bright." She vainly tried to protect her eyes from the sight, shaking her head when recovering from the quick stun... She frowned at the Faerin, just what was that thing? But then, her eyes slowly got their focus back, she stared intently at the small Faerin figure... Her expression softening upon the obvious realization. 'This thing... This thing is so cute!' The girl thought, crouching to get to the boy's eye level, until he mentioned her Liuqin, calling it a lute. Ruby smiled weakly, showing her instrument more clearly. "You aren't exactly wrong by calling it a Lute... But it's actually a Liuqin. Also... It's closer to being a Mandolin than being a Lute." She explained with a calm tone. "And yes... I play a lot of instruments 'back there'." The Felis stood up. "Mostly strings and wind instruments... I'm a musician." Talking about her hobby made her spirtis raise, as her face clearly showed happiness about it, and it remained even after the Faerin started another topic. 'Beginner's Cave? Sounds like a very straightforward name.' She thought, nodding at the possible activities that Manya listed... The girl wasn't very fond at games, because they looked very silly... You had a control and played with some weird cartoonish characters in a TV. But this game... She was inside of it, and It was so realistic that she actually found herself excited at trying out this dungeon. The Felis nodded. "Ruby like this." Her lips turned to a warm smile as the boy invited her to go through that dungeon together. "I don't want to rush it too, let's have fun in it... We can carve something fun on the rock too-" She considered the options. "Let's do it."
Manya was confused for a moment. Liuquin? But of course, it must be a specialized instrument. He nodded at it, approval was written all over his face, as well as a curiosity on how it worked. "Maybe I'll pick up an instrument to practice too. You should definitely show me how you play...like when we make camp or something! Or get to...hmm, Honeyhome? Yesh, Honeyhome is the closest place here. You should play for me!" And with that, he turned around, pointing in the direction of Beginner's Cave. "We go thataway for five more minutes and we should be there. And sure, we'll take it slow! I don't want to rush all this, after all..." For a moment, Manya was not as excitable, but calmer. He took a deep breath, smelling the clean, rainy smell of the forest, before exhaling out just as slowly. "It'd be a shame if you were always in a hurry so much that you'd not notice how perfectly well this world is made. Come along, Ruby!" And with a beckoning of his hand, Manya began tromping through the forest once more, a wide grin on his face as he adjusted his hat on his head, expecting @Crimson Ruby to follow. He was excited enough to go on an adventure alone, but going with another person made it even cooler! Beginner's Cave awaits! Although of course, how they clear it was an interesting question to ponder on...
The Felis gave an excited nod at @Manya Boole mention about practicing an instrument. "Yes, I will teach you- I can teach you any instrument! ... I can play for you too, anytime." Her voice was filled with excitement as she accepted the boy's invite, it was unusual of her to follow someone and accept doing things so easily- But it was music that they were talking about! Besides... She looked down at the small Faerin. 'This thing... This thing is adorable.' The girl nodded assertively. Upon hearing the boy's words, the girl nodded once again. "Yes, the world should be felt carefully... If you don't take your time to understand and feel your surroundings, you will soon realize you aren't living at it's best." Or maybe she was just saying non-sense, but that's what she believed. Grabbing her Liuqin, the girl followed the boy quietly... Way too quietly. And silence meant space for a music, something Ruby was willing to fill the silence with. She pulled a few strings hastily, letting out a fast yet relaxing sound. The Felis girl wasn't playing an specific song or anything, instead she was mostly playing those notes to fill her lack of topics.
Manya led the way, not because he wasn't anything special in pathfinding but because he was the more vibrant one among them, so eager and ready to go forth! The silence was unsettling, but he didn't want to annoy his new friend by talking about inane topics and things with little import. He was unsure of whether he should break the silence when she started to play. Or perhaps not truly play - it sounded more like what musicians do right before a concert, by tuning their instruments and testing it. But from her, it felt like actual, soothing notes. "...you should play something. Are you going to be a bard, then?" Of course, that last bit was a bit of an innocent poking of fun at her, but it didn't seem so far from a possibility! Being a bard won't be that bad, and bards are always well-liked and well-received by people! They had covered most of the distance to Beginner's Cave, and they could see the actual entrance to the cave right in front of them. The grassy forest floor yielded to a more rocky terrain, as Manya skipped along cheerfully. "I'd sing, but I'm terrible at singing. Do you sing as well? I used to be in a choir, but my voice cracked the wrong way so they let me leave." It was fun to talk about shared interests, even if he had only been singing for perhaps eight months at best. Stopping near Beginner's Cave, he turned around to look at his friend with a wide grin, awaiting her answer as well as her reaction to his idea. The cave won't sound half as pleasant as the forest, with its chirping birds and the rustling trees, so music would be most welcome down there! But if it attracted monsters to them...well... Manya peered at the girl, before nodding. "Say, what all skills do you have?" @Crimson Ruby
Pulling the last string of her instrument, Ruby's left ear twitched when hearing the boy's voice. She looked at him... It wasn't a bad idea to become a bard, but from her experience with medieval stories bards were supposed to be very extrovert and smooth... They were also supposed to raise the spirits and the happiness of every Town they passed by, spreading heroic stories and news from other kingdoms at the same time it had to make it look and sound interesting enough to keep the ears and eyes of the poor ignorant townsfolk, that unfortunately weren't able to find information as easily as the civilians of modern times could. Was the Felis really able to have a such important role in the society? Even if Terrasphere was a game, theorically it shouldn't be easy. Considering her options, she shook her head lightly. "I'm not charismatic enough to be a bard..." Her golden eyes looked away from the Faerin. "For now, I will work on becoming a better person." She nodded. "About playing a music... By the end of our small adventure, I will make sure to play you a music." The Felis said, closing her eyes. Her head began working on a song to play for the small boy... But- Maybe she needed a little more time to know him better... Meanwhile, the Faerin mentioned that he attempted to sing once, but it didn't went very well. "I sing too... But you shouldn't get discouraged on singing, your voice is pretty-" 'Though I don't know how your voice in real life is' "-You just need some practice." When they finally reached the Beginner's Cave, the Felis gave a small peek on the entrace, then she looked back at the Faerin. "Skills..." She opened her UI, trying to check any skill... But her skill window was empty. "Ruby don't have any skills. If you are talking about masteries, I have Harmonic Magic, Illusion Magic and Black Magic- But skills... I don't have any skills. Unless..." The Felis held her Liuqin, swinging it harshly like it was a warhammer- "This counts?" The girl tilted her head, looking at @Manya Boole's eyes.
He chuckled at her. She was a bit shy, but also seemed to be a good person, focused and charming. He nodded at her comment about his singing voice, but that was the voice for his Faerin boy; while he didn't sound too different from his real-life version, Manya had a sweeter tone and more mellow voice. Manya paused, and he opened his own UI, checking the skill list. Yup, no skills at all...except for one. It was a Black Magic skill. "I got one skill in Black Magic, it's...Evil Curse: Strike Down." Well, wasn't that an ominous name. And the school it was in didn't help much either. It was quite coincidental how they both had Black Magic Mastery - perhaps he was right, and it was a popular build? He almost wheezed with laughter on seeing Ruby swing her Liuqin down on the head of an invisible opponent. Still, it was no joke - it seemed heavy enough to be pretty handy in a fight, even if it might take some damage. "Hehehe, that's quite a good skill! But you shouldn't damage your instrument - what if you won't get a replacement?" Manya himself held his grimoire to his chest. If push comes to shove, he could bonk someone's head with the abnormally heavy tome. Besides...there was also his single usable spell to consider... "Do you want to learn Black Magic with me? Since we share it, we might be able to figure out how it works more quickly!" @Crimson Ruby
She held her Liuqin tightly, seeing the Faerin laughing at her small demonstration of power. 'I think this is a no.' The Felis nodded to herself, listening to the boy's skills. Her eyes narrowed "Evil Curse: Strike Down." She repeated to herself, trying to process what she has just heard... The boy had said he had Black Magic, but... Ruby didn't actually expected black magic to be something so grim like curses! She was honestly expecting something similar to shadows or simply necrotic bolts- But curses?! What she was going to do? Make a straw doll and walk around making up every type of voodoo and weird ass witchcraft that could exist over the world. The poor girl was ignorant on these topics, so her expression frowned deeply at the realization... No- At the atrocious news. Meanwhile that, the boy looked at her and invited her to learn Black Magic with him? - It was when Ruby noticed, that little boy... That little boy had freaking BLACK MAGIC of all magics that existed- But of course, that could have been a misunderstanding that was similar to her's. Except the little boy wasn't surprised at all! Instead he was maintaining that booming and bright smile of his- All that Ruby was being able to imagine on that moment, was the Faerin cheerfully teaching with a vicious smile to her how to drain someone's soul while using it to cast a horrible curse that would be responsible to destroy marriages, lives and families all over Terrasphere. And imagining all that was both deeply disturbing and absolutely NOPE-tier. The Felis widened her golden eyes, already prepared to give a loud and short NO at @Manya Boole. But... His eyes filled with happiness and his sweet smile that was in fact... Very cute... Ruby's lips squeezed shut and contorted a bit in a dilemma, before she sighed internally and gave a shaken smile. "S-Sure, let's learn black magic together." The Felis girl finally replied, frowning internally at herself for falling to the charms of someone else cutesy- "How do I... Use this Evil Curse on someone?"
Manya just looked at the Felis expectantly, waiting for her to think on her answer. It had never occurred to him that his powers might be so dissonant with his appearance and even his self-given title of White Magician. But then, he had White Magic so he could call himself that, right? He wondered what @Crimson Ruby might call herself. The Beautiful Bard, maybe? That sounded perfect! He was studying Ruby's face, which was a rollercoaster of emotion. Surprise, annoyance, confusion, a frown, shock, fear, denial, and then...hesitant acceptance! He grinned pointing to the cave as he marched towards it. "I'll explain on the way, come along!", he said. He was so excited to try out his skills, this would be his very first time using them. "So, uh...Evil Curse, yes." He was reading up on the curse in the Palm Menu. There was a description that made it abundantly clear it was the most basic and simplest of Black Magicks available, but also the most consistent and in the right hand, most powerful. "'You face your target, and you extend your hand towards them. You visualize the dark energy around them, and around yourself. With a surge of force, you thrust both of those energies together and redirect the confluence onto the target. This spell has little variation in strength because it is a Stable Attack.', it says." "Hmm..." He scrolled down a bit more, checking any caveats or details. "Ah! It also says that having a small part of the target, such as cloth, hair, blood, et cetera will allow someone to use it without having to point the person out or face them or even see them, although there's a range limit." He frowned, as he checked the spell details over a few times. The description was quite specific about how to cast it and its limitations, but not a word on what it does. It just...simply damaged the opponent, perhaps? Caused them to faint? "Well, that's all it says here. Maybe I should try it on something, see what it does!" They were now in the cave, and the wind blowing through the caverns seemed to sound like a giant's flute, whistling and shrieking in turn. Manya raised his book up, and let it go. "Cantrip: Book Holster!", he spoke out, and the book floated up a foot or so over his head, glowing brightly to illuminate their path. "It's so weird how you have no skills! I'm sure that if you think on your Masteries, you can discover a very basic skill for them, or even create one. I know that you need a lot of experience for advanced ones, though..." His eyes lit up, as a delightful idea struck him. Black Magic sounded so dreary and terrible, he guessed learning about it would have been boring too, and was only not going to be the case because he found himself a fun person to train with, so until then, there was something else they could do! "Before we start learning Black Magic, maybe you should try to see your basic skills in your other Masteries! I'll try it, too!"
Ruby blinked at the spell description. It pretty much looked like the skill descriptions from the games her best friend used to play, which basically meant it was something much more simple than it looked like. Probably the biggest difference was that it existed an special advantage if you held some specific item from the target. Staring blankly for a few seconds, the girl reached a conclusion. 'Nevermind, this is literally the same thing as voodoo. It's there, I'm officially a voodoo practicer.' She nodded emptily at herself. And now they were going to look for a victim for this spell... Whoever was the unlucky creature would be, the girl decided to not think about it too much. "It's just a collateral damage of learning." The girl affirmed to herself, peharps it was just a lie to make her feel better, peharps it was actuall true. Who knows? Suddenly the boy decided to go and cast a random spell... The enormous book would end up hovering above their heads while sparkling a light that was better than any flashlight you would find on your closest convenience store. The Felis golden eyes reflected the light, making them look brighter than the usual. The Faerin would come and give another idea, testing out her powers before doing anything about the black magic. "Ruby likes this idea." She nodded hastily, anything that could give her more time to prepare herself from casting a black magic as her first skill on that game was pretty much very welcomed. Opening her UI, she carefully checked the properties of Harmonic and Illusion Magic... "Hmm... Let's see." She closed her eyes, trying to focus. With closed eyes, her face that showed constant alert slowly softened... Focusing, the gir began doing what she did the best- Music. Imagining notes, Ruby began nodding in rhythm, following the music that was forming inside her head... She began humming... 'Yes... This- Mhm...' A smile covered her lips, and her countenance expressed peace. 'Right... Yes!' Her smile widened, and her ears twitched in harmony with the music that was slowly growing- A whisper escaped from her lips, letting out a calm "Aaaaa~" And that was the sparkle the song needed to start. SANA PACE: CESSA The Felis started to sing brightly, it wasn't a song that had lyrics- But her soothing tone filled the cave, spreading it's peaceful aura. The beauty her voice would slowly halt any heart that was beating in anxiety. Such wondrous song would last for just thirty seconds, but that was more than enough to anyone stand still, hypnotized by it's aura and it's singer. Finishing and clenching her lips shut, Ruby would finally open her eyes, looking around to see @Manya Boole.
Manya glanced around, not having caught the 'collateral' part. "Pardon?", he asked, but she had already moved on, and he dropped that frivolous inquiry. As @Crimson Ruby expressed her approval of the idea, Manya grinned and reached his hands out for the grimoire to float over, opening itself in front of him. With his palm, he opened his own UI, checking through both. "Alright then! Let me just..." He looked through it, trying to find the right spell for him. His Basic Spells should be one each for his Masteries, and he already had Black Magic. Now there is...White Magic, of course! He'd make for a poor White Magician if he's unskilled in that! From the UI, he read over the skill, a simple healing technique that, given time, training, and talent would evolve into a consistent and versatile skill. As he gestured, the spell moved from the UI's clinical and game-centric display, and then impressed itself onto the grimoire's page. His first spell to be written into the book! But then a melody reached his ears. Soothing and calm, he felt a tension that he wasn't even aware of leave his shoulders. It reminded him of pleasant people and good times. He could not tell when the song began, how long it lasted, or when it ended because it took him a few moments to snap out of the reverie. "That...that was beautiful, Ruby..." He was smiling, but instead of his energetic and excitable manner, he was calmer, gentler, and softly-spoken, although he was no less positive. He smiled at her, and gave her a thumbs up - he liked it! In battle, such a skill could let tense situations be defused, and if anything could help avoid harm and conflict, then it is a good skill to have. He raised his hand up into the air, preparing his own demonstration. The aura around him seemed to glow, first a pale light, before it truly manifested as a soft, almost angelic glow. It suited his beatific features perfectly, as he intoned two words. White Healing Ruby and Manya were both bathed in blessed light as the aura expanded to encompass them both, as it took away the weariness of their bodies. Their feet no longer felt like they had been walking for a while, and their bodies were energized. They did not truly have any injury or damage to speak of, but the positive energy still washed away all it could, before dispelling itself. Manya smiled at that. It cost only the slightest bit of energy to use, but in case harm did come to pass, he could use this to reverse it.
Ruby stared at the calm Faerin, flattening her ears against the head with a blush when he mentioned what she have done was beautiful- It was not like her music was never complimented or anything, but hearing this from someone that wasn't a random person probably made it more special. She tilted her head at the boy's tone though, was he feeling sick? No... He looked too happy for that. But for some reason he was much more calmer than the Felis was used to- Unless it is... Out of curiosity, the girl opened her UI- being able to see a small interface showing that some sort of skill she had was affecting the area, and for her surprise a new skill was added on her skill list. So that was how it worked... Huh? The girl rubbed her chin, her eyes stared at it with curiosity, but at the same time they started to show a tiredness. Yuhan wasn't the type of person that was used to walk all over the places for too long, so probably this bad habit she had in real life was affecting her character in that moment. Suddenly, a warm feeling went through her body that slowly washed away all her fatigue. The holy energy even bothered to heal the extremely small bruises that Ruby had on her heels for walking for too long wearing uncomfortable shoes. The Felis twitched her ears in a joyful way, wagging her tail clearly showing that she liked whatever that was doing that in her body. Turning to @Manya Boole, the girl noticed that the source of that good feeling was his spell - Which for her surprise (And relief) didn't look like a Black Magic at all, in fact it looked pretty much the opposite! "You have White Magic?" She pondered, that was indeed very ironic. But again, Yin and Yang were a thing, right? So that kind of made sense. Now maybe it was time to test out an illusion spell- How it worked? Ruby had no idea, but that wasn't something she needed to worry about. Opening her UI, she got to read once again the Illusion Mastery description, carefully picking each words of it - She realized that she could do something fairly interesting when mixing with her Harmonic spell, peharps... "Let's see. I think I have an idea." Motioning her hands, Ruby mimicked random moves that she had in her mind. It was a kata, a martial arts choreography that her father used to practice... Finishing the series of movements, the Felis placed her fingers in front of her mouth, making it appear some strange purple magical sphere and began singing a more agitated song. illusionary wave As her voice passed through the sphere, it multiplied the amount of voices that were singing, making it sound like a chorus instead of solo sing. Ruby widened her eyes seeing this happening... The possibilites for composing musics... The amount of things she could do with that... Maybe she could even make an orchestra all by herself! The waves flew through the cave, and by the time she finished. Ruby waved her hair in a much more confident way, almost like she wasn't a shy girl... At least until flapping hostile sounds came from the depths of the cave. The Felis tilted her head. "Hm, what's this?"
Manya chuckled. "Of course I have White Magic! I'm a White Magician!" Standing on the spot, he gave a little spin, letting his blue cloak and hat flourish a bit. The pure white inner lining in both was merely symbolic, but it was a mark of a practicing mage, after all. He stopped his spin and then went through his UI once again. "That was a basic healing spell. There must be more types, though. As for my other..." He was searching for his Spellbane entries when he heard @Crimson Ruby sing once more. Unlike the previous song, this one wasn't laced with magic, but merely a song. However...it was like a whole choir was singing it, a one-man-orchestra! That was pretty surprising to the young Faerin. He could swear that it was realistic - more than a mere distortion of her voice, it sounded like actual people were also singing in. He could hear a baritone, a soprano, a contralto...even the best mimic could only fake a few voices perfectly, but she wasn't mimicking, it was real! ...or rather, it wasn't real. As Manya's eyes watched her, he could see that it was an Illusion Magic. He could also see how it worked, by splitting a voice into many by passing it through the magical sphere she had summoned. He blinked. Wait, how did he know that? He glanced to his UI to find that his finger was on a single spell, a toggled ability that he had on. Third Eye A Spellbane technique...it allowed him to recognize magic that was cast. But...that wasn't very impressive, was it? He shrugged and toggled it off again, before clapping at Ruby. "Encore, encore!", he said happily. It was more of a joke, but that didn't mean he disliked the singing; on the contrary, it was just as good as before! But his clapping stopped when he heard the sound of flapping, like large wings. He quickly looked around, trying to find out where it was coming from. The Cave distorted sounds, making them seem to come from different directions... It seems that between Manya's bright lights and Ruby's singing, they had woken up something very cranky and very fast, considering how the noise seemed to close in on them. Manya clapped his hands together, and the book shot up, sticking to the ceiling like a tube light, illuminating the whole section of the cave clearly. And then he saw it. Two glowing green eyes in the shadows, peeking out from the dark path that led inwards into the Cave. And it stepped forward. Leathery wings, a fox-like and hairy face, sharp teeth and clawed legs...it was a bat. A gigantic bat. It was as large as a horse, and that wasn't counting the two wings that it had folded close to its back. It let out a loud screech, before diving at Ruby, faster than Manya could react. "WATCH OUT!", he yelled, instantly shifting focus from his experimentation with his masteries to grab onto that spell, that one spell.
