One never really knew where they would appear when they first entered the world of Terra for the first time. He had seen two girls fall from the trees, he had gone about and asked them if they thought they could fly. They were both of his race, and those had been the very first people he had encountered here. One might actually think that would have been a good thing, but for him he would have preferred it other ways. The first person he had met was Lorelei-- the girl who actually decked him. The second was Caelynn-- the pinkette who was a bit of an idiot. Though it got him thinking, why would both girls fall from the trees when he had simply woke up in a field. He had to wonder if others had spawned like he had, or if he had just happened to get lucky. He had met other players of course, but that wasn't something he had thought to ask to them when he had encountered them. He was the type to not truly like people , but loved the beasts of this fantastic place. One always knew what they would be getting into when they were dealing with beasts-- people not so much. Some were easy to read, others not so much. He was like that himself, he had been not only getting stronger in his abilities but also in his mask that he had built up. What had brought him back to the Brisshal area once more was the constant thoughts of the small black rabbit that he had first met there. No matter how far he came, Trouble would always be the first beastie that he had ever felt some connection with. He still didn't know if one could consider it taming or not, seeing as he had allowed the rabbit to go off. "I wonder if Trouble is still around" he spoke to himself as he found himself going through the Maithe Woodlands once more. His crimson eyes continued to look around. Where would one find one specific rabbit in this forest? Honestly, its just a rabbit-- he could hear the words playing in his head once more. Trouble might have been a rabbit, but he wasn't just some average rabbit or even an average dire rabbit. He saw plenty of rabbits, they were everywhere-- but something he seemed to not have found many of was a black rabbit. There were brown ones and whites one but the black one he had seen... they seemed to not always appear. He might be looking in the wrong places, but it couldn't be something that just happened. He continued to walk, crimson eyes still looking about the place. "Maybe this is pointless." He stopped his walking , thigh high boots becoming firmly placed on the ground. One might have thought that the silver haired Yladian might have heard something, but in reality he had stopped in front of bush. The bush was bearing a crimson red type of berry, he had long ago realized how to use the palm menu to access the investigation mode. He had found ways to easily use them both more effectively the more he used them. He picked one of the berries and held it into the palm of his hand. A small pinging sound hit his ears as the information on said berry came up upon the screen. He read over the information, seemed that when something were based on realistic things in this game others weren't. The berry seemed to be called a Tiaok Berry and the thing was safe to eat. Seemed it was good for if one wanted to dye things and had a slightly sweet taste. He deactivated his palm menu and picked a few of the berries to take with him. He produced a sack from his inventory , it had once had something in it but it was simply empty now. It would perfect for carrying the berries with him as he continued forward. Soon he would hear the sound of a stream, his ears twitching at the sound. He went towards it. "Seems like a good enough place to stop" he stated as he would go and sit down by the stream and opening the sack and plopping a few of berries into his mouth. @Libitina Cerin
It was another day for the long haired girl. A day filled with possibility of new adventure, to meet new people, have a taste of a different fruit; one that could not be found in the real world. But the girl did not want to do anything of that sort. She just wanted a little bit of peace. She wouldn't mind having a company, as long as they did not get on her nerve. She had a few people in mind who could just spend the day casually with her, but unfortunately they all had set off on different quests or were busy working in Ivan's curry house. Either way, she found herself walking through the Brisshal forest alone. Well, not exactly alone if you considered her two pets. In fact, she was scolding the Kindling ember who was sitting on her shoulder while the adorable white seal floated beside the young girl, confusion evident in its eyes. "I told you many times. No stealing things were people. If you want to forge something up so badly, just tell. I'll buy it for you" The male pouted as he turned away, as though offended by her offer. Her eyebrow twitched in annoyance as she grabbed the male with one of her hands and stared at him intensely. "I know you cannot speak but I also know you understand what I am telling you. Stop your misbehaviour. In the end when you are caught, I have to hear on your behalf. What do I look like? Your mother? If so, I advice you to stop otherwise I will disown you" As though upset at how Libitina casually told she would disown him, he placed his tiny hands on her finger and tried burning her. The moment she felt the heat intensify on her finger, she let the dwarven male go. Luckily the fall wasn't so high (considering how short Libitina was) so the male remained unscathed. It quickly got back on its feet and ran away. The seal tried running after the other pet but stopped when it saw its master not making a move to chase after it. It yelped to catch the attention of its master. "Forget it. I am not going to run after that ungrateful pet. If he gets eaten up by some bird or rabbit, his fault" She grumbled, sucking on the finger that got burnt, watching as the tiny male disappeared into the bushes. The seal tugged on her sleeve, making sure not to touch the young girl, as though telling her it was important to chase after her other pet. Reluctantly, Libitina heeded the seal's words and ran after it, knowing that if she tried to say no again to the seal, it would get in a bad mood, something she would prefer to avoid. Meanwhile, The tiny kindling ember noticed the white haired male sitting beside the river and got an idea. Without even asking for permission, the tiny dude began climbing onto the Yladian male and tried to jump into the brown bag. Not even minutes before that attempt, Libitina appeared before the ruby eyed male. @Camus Varic "Excuse me. Have you by any chance saw a palm sized male running by here? "she inquired.
These tiaok berries were as the description had said, he had realized this the moment the juice went into his mouth. It was nothing like the berries that were common in the real world. He was glad that it didn't taste like blueberries did, how much he hated that fruit with a passion. He never really knew why he detested the little blue berries so much. Was it because he had been forced to eat some despite his hatred? Or was it something else before that? To think such a thing as berries would make his mind think back to the real world and the life he had started playing this game to run away from. His ears twitched slightly, it was more than just the sound of the wind or the gentle rocking motion of the water. No someone else was out there and they weren't exactly stealthy. Were they arguing with themselves? He could quite make out too much of what the female voice was going on about, but it was quite puzzling. She was so noisy and it would be without minute that the beasties would find her. "Unless she wants them to find her" then he would have to wonder just what kind of person this girl was. He had met another who had spoken to herself, like he did, and that was a stupid little pinkette. What was this girl like? Maybe she would make a good type of bait to draw out Trouble. She was clearly a girl and every girl seemed to love bunnies. They were such cute things and then if a black rabbit came out and then went to try to bite her face off--- yes then he would have found Trouble. Though who would have thought it would be so easy to get her to come to him. He had been too occupied in his thoughts that he didn't feel nor hear the slight rustling of the bag within his hands. Something had seemed to have tried to go into the thing, but it had been blocked with the way he held the thing. Silver locks seemed to pick up upon the wind and blew some as he turned to take in the girl. Decent little thing, she looked like the type that might actually fall into his little (would one call it a fantasy) of how girls were supposed to be. She asked such a off the wall question. Palm sized men running about? Well it wasn't the most off the wall type thing he had heard here, but it wasn't something he typically had someone ask him. His crimson eyes studied her "and what business do you have with a palm sized man?" It was a decent question to her own. His eyes looked down by him and there he would see what she spoke of. Such an interesting little thing, he clamped his hand around him to hide him from sight. "I might have knowledge, but what good will it be to tell you without a reason. For all I know, you might wish to hurt him. I would consider him a beastie seeing as there is no race that is palm sized" he smiled a charming smile, but it had devious intentions. "Say you wouldn't have happened to see a little black bunny would you? Oh pardon me, I suppose introductions are in need. Name's Camus and you are" he spoke, he didn't shift from where he at all. He wanted to see what he could get and her intention. To say the least she had sparked his interest with this palm sized man. So she wasn't talking to herself, he did know it was this girl who was making all the noise. Now to see if she was actually useful and not just interesting.
Libitina's amethyst eyes narrowed at the vague answer she got. She was in no mood to play word games and what annoyed her more was the smile he gave to her. A frown remained on her lips as she ran a hand through her long hair. "He is my pet. What I do to him is not your concern. All I asked was whether you saw him or not and I expect a yes or no answer. It isn't such a hard question unless there is only hay filled in that head of yours" Her tone was sharp, giving off a vibe that he shouldn't mess with her. "As for the name. Its Libitina Cerin and for your question. Yes, I've seen that little rascal around a few times. Last I checked, it was fooling around in these areas. If you wait around for a few minutes, you will see him eventually" While she was talking her to the silver haired male, ciel, her seal pet left her side to go find said rabbit. It got along well with the rabbit, that is if you consider being chased to death as getting along. The seal didn't take long to find the rabbit, rather it found Ciel and tried pouncing on the illusion creating seal. With a loud squeak Ciel started running back to its master, the rabbit following. "Kyu Kyu Kyu!" he squealed as he got in front of Libitina, making sure not to touch her. Libitina turned around to see what her familiar was running away from, only to see the black rabbit was in present. "Speak of the devil. There your friend is" She pointed at the rabbit. "Anyways, I'll take my leave since talking to you is pointless" She was about to leave. The flaming pet of her's listened as his master was about to leave. In desperation, it started a tiny fire on the man's palm to escape. The moment it got out of @Camus Varic grip, it went and hid behind the girl's shoulder, peeking at his captor. Knowing that the man had her pet hostage made her furious. She went close to the man and grabbed him by the collar. "And who gave you the permission to hold onto him"her words came out venomously as her eyes glowed with rage. For all she knew, he might have wanted to sell him off
Such a sharp tongue on this one, she was like no one that he had encountered so far. So others seemed to have pets, but her idea of a pet was all wrong. She seemed to think that some palm sized man was a pet. What a strange one she was, but her sharp tongue-- it was an amusing combination to say the least. She was a tiny little ball of anger. It was clear that she thought that she was something-- though in the end she would lose. He might actually just keep her around for the pure amusement and enjoyment of it all. She thought her insults would actually cause her too get her way-- she didn't have enough bite to follow her words. Though the more she spoke, the more he realized that maybe it was a good thing he had met her. It wasn't just for the reason of entertainment but because of Trouble. Fooling around? Trouble wasn't one to fool around at all, maybe it was a different rabbit. He remembered the first time that he had seen trouble. The rabbit had appeared to be a normal black rabbit that was hopping around. Though the longer they remained in that area (he being him and Lorelei), the rabbit had seemed to just stare at them. Then out of nowhere, he had attack Lorelei. He remembered as if it was yesterday. Why did he ever let the rabbit go? Right, because he couldn't just go around carrying a rabbit, especially when there were bigger beasties out there to be caught. He had been so lost in thought that he hadn't noticed the seal leaving Libitina's side. His crimson eyes only even took the thing in when it came back to its owner with a black rabbit following it. He had actually also forgotten that he had his hand over the little man. Which was bad because that was about the time that he felt the small sting in his palm. He snarled as he was forced to remove his hand from how he had it prior. Of course his luck would only have the girl grabbing him by his collar. Of course keep in mind that he hadn't spoken to her again since she had first come up to him. Oh did he enjoy the look of rage that glowed with in her amethyst eyes. "Oh it was that thing, little bugger burned me" he stated as he seemed to have no fear at all from being so close to the female. No if anything his crimson eyes showed a sense of twisted joy from all of this. "Now I didn't say you could do that , surprised you could reach actually. That is cute" he stated as his hand had gone to pry Libitina's hand away from his collar . "I haven't the foggiest idea of how the little man got there at all. You should be more careful, girly. Don't you I don't know have some tea party to attend." The black rabbit seemed to look up at him . He went to examine the bunny "Trouble have you enjoyed playing with them" he talked to the bunny rather than the girl at that point. He frowned slightly after a minute "what a mess" he seemed to be examining his hand at that moment. "Either Trouble has changed a lot, or this bunny isn't Trouble. As for your pet-- you should know how to control it better. Weren't you leaving." So maybe the silver haired Yladian was trying to purposely piss off this girl. He liked living on the edge, and in all honestly Libitina didn't scare him. He had gone about calling her girly rather then a nickname of her own name. The reason had been simple, it was because Libby or Tina just seemed too plain for him. He went and plopped a few more of the berries within his mouth before giving one to the bunny who seemed to come to paw at his hand. He wondered if it was really Trouble or not.
Her eyebrows twitched in annoyance as he casually shook her off, as though she was nothing more than a child who was throwing a tantrum. Calling her cute in a manner that she felt he was mocking her. In the real world, she never had such a problem. She was tall in nature and knew self defence, making her intimidating for most people. Those who did try to mess with her would usually get punched either physically or verbally. But this wasn't the real world. It was Terrasphere. A game in which she was still not that strong and not at all intimidating but it didn't mean she was going to drop her pride anytime soon. "My name is Libitina" she hissed at the man, not liking how he called her girly. Just staring at his face made her sick to the stomach. Snake was written all over his expressions and made her more wary. She didn't want to relax beside the man, feeling as though if she loosened up, he would try to find her weakness and attack her. "First you should try controlling the lying mouth of yours and that hand that grabs onto things that do not belong to you. The only one to blame for your injuries is yourself. If you had not beat around the bushes, he wouldn't have had the need to burn your hand. Keep in mind never to blame my pet for results that was caused because of your dumb action" She said stepping close to the male and grabbing him by the hair, attempting to head butt him hard. She pulled away and turned on her feet. When it came to physical tolerance, Libitina had a lot of it so bumping their foreheads together didn't hurt as much. The place he sat in was one of the locations she liked visiting, which was why she knew about the rabbit's habit to come here. Even if this Yladian man was planning to stay here for a while longer, she didn't plan to leave. She climbed onto one of the nearby trees and sat on the large branch, leaning against the trunk. She plucked off the fruit that hung on the tree, letting out a warm breath and rubbed the fruit, trying to take out any dirt that could be on the fruit. She was used to eating this particular fruit so she didn't need to bother to check whether it was safe to eat or not. She would occasionally glance at the man, making sure he didn't do any funny business
Oh she was hissing at him. What a spunky girl she was. There had been others of course who had told him that their name was something-- he never really listened. He knew what everyone's name was, he only had to hear it once and he would never forget it. Rather this be a good thing or a curse, that was to be decided. To him, he had no problem with it-- it just made it all the more fun to mess with people. Call them anything but their name and then in a moment of seriousness he would drop their name and leave them utterly shocked. He just liked playing with people and pissing them off. It wasn't like he was an animal playing with its food, though that would probably be what he would be if he had been an animal. He would trap them and then bat them around until they screamed in the right way and then let them think he was going to let them go. Though he wouldn't let them go, oh no. He would enjoy torturing them until the very end and then he would eat them. Though he wasn't an animal, he was a Yladian and it would be socially unacceptable if he was to kill or play with someone like that. It was probably for the better that he hadn't completely fallen into true darkness. She was full of herself, telling him to control his mouth and his hand. To not go blaming her pet for the results of his dumb actions. How dare she talk to him like this. 'You could play with her and teach her a lesson' there was the little demon. He had thought that it was sitting this one out. No, here it was giving him ideas he shouldn't have. Oh she had done the wrong thing by grabbing him by his hair and trying to head-butt him. He let it connect, a grunt of slight enjoyment went through him as the pain radiated through his skull. It had been a decent head-butt, and he enjoyed the pain it brought him. Now it didn't hurt too much, but it was enjoyable all the same. She had dared to turn away from him. He smirked, though this wouldn't be seen unless she could see from invisible eyes in the back of her head. He was quiet though as she went to climb a tree and ate some of the fruit that hung from it. Had he been an animal he would have lunged at her and played with the tiny mouse. Though again he wasn't an animal himself. The bunny slightly nuzzled against his leg and he went to pet the things head. It was much more affectionate than Trouble had been before. Though time did change things, it was always possible. "Oh didn't know my mouth offended you so" his tone had taken on an almost silky yet deep tone. It almost sounded like a slight taunting purr. His crimson eyes looked at her , watching her. He was analyzing the girl fully finally for the first time. "You are so cute the way you think that actually hurt. Does the Doll want some form of thanks for the bunny. I happen to like my mouth the way it. Don't hear others complain." Yet that is all he heard, they all complained. They should be happy that he called them some cute little nickname. They should thank him and bow down before him. Good thing that she couldn't hear his thoughts, oh she would have fun if she could. "I for one am hurt actually that you think I have dumb actions." Now the burn had been something he hadn't been expecting, but he welcomed pain. It only kicked started his inner demon (more than likely). Though this time he wasn't trying to force it away, this time he was just going along with whatever might come his way. It was more interesting this way. Still his eyes didn't leave her, he was watching the way she went about her business. His mind was wondering what it might be like to toy with her, to play a game of hide and seek. He should be happy she had helped find Trouble (if the bunny was Trouble), though his mind was a little darker. He stroked the bunny beside him as he watched her.
"Well now you know. Your welcome" She replied with a stoic tone. Was she interested in him, annoyed at him or just did not care about his presence anymore? It was hard to tell with her tone and expression. It was as though she was never angry at him. If they had first met, she would have just gotten even more upset and would have been saying insults in a more annoyed and aggressive tone, but the time she spent on Terrasphere made her realise that sometimes, not expressing anger was a way to dominate a conversation but that didn't mean she wouldn't mock them back. She was silent for a few seconds. It wasn't that she was thinking of a comeback. She was actually analysing the Yladian male. She watched him with half lidded eyes until finally turning her head away to focus on her fruit. One more bite. She chewed as the nectar from the fruit ran down her chin and yet she did not talk. One would assume she forfeited from the battle of words but she was not the type to do so. She swallowed and grabbed another fruit from the tree throwing it at @Camus Varic 's direction. Did she throw it in an attempt to hurt the male or was she merely giving him the fruit, it was hard to understand her actions. But that was exactly what she was aiming for, for him not to understand her actions. To be more spontaneous to leave the male in confusion. In her mind, she saw Camus as the type of male who liked getting on others nerves. Maybe he wanted to get into her brain or maybe he just found it amusing. Either way, she did not want the male to think he could affect her(even though he was) "Maybe its not that no one tells you about your annoying mouth but rather, you do not have the mental capacity to register the words spoken to you armleuchter" Her normal Australian accept that seemed so natural, started to sound foreign when she added a german word. German sounded much more fluent on her tongue. The girl brought her knees closer to her chest and placed her elbow on her lap, her palm placed over her mouth, making it even more difficult to read the girl's expression. "You look like a villain in the typical cartoon shows" She pointed out as she watched him pet the black rabbit. While the girl completely looked unfazed, her pet seal was not too happy about the situation. Even though it was a pet, it could understand the mocking tone that lingered in the male's words. It upset the tiny white seal, and wanted to teach him a lesson which was why he made his way towards the Yladian. "Do not touch him ciel" She warned her pet, knowing exactly what he trying to do. "If he harms you, I will not come to your aid" She added. Sure, he was trying to help her out but she never asked him to interfere. Not only that but she didn't want the pet to think she would come to his aid whenever he decided to pick a fight. If he decides to fight, he should see it through without any help. It was something called responsibility.
Had he not been watching her movements, then maybe the fruit would have hit him. He wondered if that was the reasoning behind her action or if she had simply been wanting to give the fruit to him because she was trying to be nice. Though he wouldn't go and over-think the situation, that was probably what she had wanted him to do anyways. She wanted to make him think one thing and perhaps it would have been the other. Though could someone think that they could hurt someone if they actually could see it coming. It was one thing to strike them when they couldn't see, but another to do when one can see. An impulse perhaps, something that had just happened. It would be a waste to let the fruit go and bust on the ground. So he found himself catching the thing and looking it over. Of course this was by the time that her voice reached his ears. He smirked at both of what she said to him. Despite the fact that she was insulting his mental capacity and the fact that she called him a villain-- it was all amusing to him. He didn't know why exactly why it was so amusing, but it was. He had stopped stroking the bunny so he could rub the dirt off the fruit before taking a bite of the sweet thing. Not some forbidden fruit or anything, just a fruit that had been thrown at him. Nothing more, nothing less. He licked some of the nectar that had escaped his lips free as he looked over at her and her pet seal. It didn't really look like a threat to him. He thought of the best way to teach her a lesson. She had used a German word and his player had a tendency to go to different places a lot. So he picked up quite a few lovely things he could say to her. Though he had moved after taking another bite of the fruit. It would a shame to leave the fruit uneaten, so he let the bunny move as the seal had come closer to him. "Bellende Hunde beißen nicht" he spoke out loud to her, wonder if she knew what they meant or if she had just happened to apply the first German word that came to her head. His crimson eyes went to the seal instead of the girl this time. The words he spoke could have been direct at the seal or perhaps the girl herself. Either way he was not afraid of the girl and her two pets. Why should he be afraid of someone so short and cute. Her anger was just cute and amusing to him, she had spunk but that was about it. Her pets, were harmless to him. The burn on his hand was just like an annoying bug bite. It had some pain, but it didn't truly hurt him. Though this might be because of his pain tolerance was. A burn was nothing compared to a broken bone. "So cold, Doll~ Aren't girls suppose to love and cherish their little pets instead of leaving them out to die. Oh well I guess natural selection at its finest." He gave a hum as he said this. He went to reach out to the seal, clearly not bothered by it. Now he was cruel, but he didn't always show that side of him. He wanted the girl to think that in the grand scheme of things he was harmless. All animals could look harmless, but then they strike and their prey didn't know any better. Even an innocent looking snake could be deadly. The bunny he assumed was Trouble saw how he had reached towards the seal and the little bunny let out a growl. "There;s my Trouble. Don't worry, if you think it will hurt me... it really won't. Unless you're a jealous little bunny." He just sat back and took another bite of his fruit. Patience was what he needed here, the girl would lead to her downfall. "Also I have a feeling my mental capacity is larger than someone like yours." Maybe he should make sure to prove it, but why do something like that so soon in this game. It was all a game within a game. Some people that were like her, hated for things to get under their skin. Hated for someone to be better than they were. He was clearly better than her. He smiled almost warmly at her, but beneath that smile was something more sinister.
She raised an eyebrow at the man's word. She was surprised he knew german. Was he a german as well or did he just know about how to speak the language? For libitina, the word had come out on instinct. She didn't really want to expose the fact she was german, not because she thought there was something wrong with her nationality. No, she had no distaste towards being a certain race or religion. It was just that she preferred to keep personal information to herself. Libitina had no intention to continue speaking in her native language with an unknown man so she replied with him in english with an uninterested look directing towards the male. "Trust me when I say that neither me, nor my pets have ever bitten anyone. After all, we aren't dogs. Speaking of which, if I threw a stick, you’d leave, right?" She asked, basically calling him a mutt. "Do not get me wrong @Camus Varic , I do fancy my pets. But as their owner, it is my responsibility to keep them in check. I do not plan to spoil them with love. They should know their limitations and not go around picking useless fights thinking I would come to save them every single time." She stated, ignoring the name he had just called her with. From the outside it may have not looked like it, but she was getting annoyed with the name calling. I mean, doll?! What did he think she was? A submissive, damsel in distress? She knew she was not the strongest player and there were chances if the two fought, he would win but that did not stop her pride from back talking to the Yladian male. Libitina noticed the hostile behavior of the rabbit. "Do not touch Ciel. He is no ordinary pet. One touch can bring you into an illusion, if only for a few seconds. It is not a very terrifying experience, just a minor version of Titanius's battle. " She waved for her pet to come, who was quick to hide behind the small girl after hearing the rabbit's growl. The rabbit sure had given him a tough time in their last encounter. A sigh escaped her lips as she found his attempt of insulting her, ridiculous " I was hoping for a battle of wits but it would be wrong to attack someone who’s totally unarmed." She got down of the tree and got closer to her. "Honestly, fighting amongst one another is pointless. We get no coins or rewards if we meet our fists. How about we get a job, hunt bandits and see how many we can beat up. Person with most count, wins and gets the loser to do whatever they please. What do you say?"She questioned
He wasn't surprised at all that she didn't reply back to him in German. There were a few reasons on why she most likely didn't do so. The first reason was more than likely that she had been caught and didn't know more than that one word. The second was she hadn't been expecting him to know another language aside from English-- and that had caught her off guard. The last was she didn't want to reveal any more than she already had about herself. Honestly, he didn't care who the girl was outside in the real world. Anyone wouldn't have guessed that his player was behind this character-- that was the glory of Terra. He could be anything he wanted here in this world. Murder wasn't a crime, you could kill and be an asshole if you desired it. He didn't have to be a gentleman... though he could-- the glory of a mask. He frowned slightly when she basically called him a mutt. Though it easily went into a slight smirk as he heard what she stated about her pet. So one touch could bring someone into an illusion within a few seconds. A battle would be interesting to see-- but he watched as the seal had gone to hide behind its master. The bunny had gone to half nuzzle into him, but the growling hadn't stopped-- beady eyes was still watching the girl and her seal. He just had a dire bunny and she had a seal that could take people into illusions. If he had said pet he would never let it out of his sight-- it would be useful to him. The girl continued to speak though and by doing so she was giving him idea after idea. Did she not realize what she was doing? 'Unless she is smarter than you are. She is trying to lure you into some form of trap and than when you lose she plans to do unspeakable things to you. I can imagine it, what about you?' Of course his inner demon had to get its two cents in. Though he wasn't going to lose especially in a battle of any type. The girl might be small and she might be able to fit into small places-- she might have some kind of seal that could take people into illusions. Though he was smart and knew how to use anything to his advantage. She clearly wouldn't win against him at anything. She was signing up for her death , well a metaphorical death, not that he would actually kill someone who was useful to him. He stood up from his place finally "perhaps fighting one another is pointless. No coins or rewards as you say. Though I suppose you do have a point in if we were to get a job. Actually that idea sounds brilliant." Perhaps he had given away a little about who his player was nationality wise at least. A touch of his accent had showed in his words when he spoke on how the idea sounded brilliant. He was a Brit in the real world, but that didn't mean that he didn't know a handful of other languages. That was one good thing that came from traveling with the Devil. Though that was one of the only things that came out of it. "So would the little Doll be selecting the job? I suppose that would be a good handicap to give you. After all I don't intend on losing at anything you aim my way." Knowledge was power, but it wasn't like he was just a brain he also had the physical strength to go along with it. Libitina had no chance at all in winning against him. He finished off the fruit that he had been thrown and disposed of it. After doing such he went and picked up the bunny he assumed was Trouble. He wasn't going to let the bunny out of his sight so easily this time around. Though it had been a good thing that he had come back here. Without having come back here than he wouldn't be getting some excitement in the form of this little competition. "Should we name our terms now or should we keep them a secret until the victor is selected? It doesn't matter to me at all." He didn't intend on losing at all. He had a lot more to gain from this than she did. She would be a useful asset to him, especially if he could gain that pet of hers. This would all be worth it for him. They could insult each other all day, but this plan of hers was actually quite perfect to see who was the better of the two.
She narrowed her eyes at him for thinking she would need a handicap. "Do not judge a book by its cover " She stated as she took one last, finishing the fruit. She threw the waste on the floor, not caring if it would be considered littering. Technically it wasn't since the remains were biodegradable. She stretched her arms above her head. "-But since you offered, I will choose, only because I do not trust you to get something fun. I do not want to get stuck in some social work" The girl placed a hand on her hip and leaned on her leg as she looked up at the male, staying silent for a good few minutes. It would be nice to give their terms beforehand. It would keep them on their toes. Then again, not giving their terms would make things so interesting. It was getting hard for Libitina to choose between the tempting options. She finally spoke when she made her decision "After. That way the competition would be amusing for you as well as myself. Follow me. I know a shortcut to town" It was no surprise that she knew her way in the forest. After all, she spent a decent amount of her time in the lovely environment. The shortcut was indeed short but very confusing and comparatively tough as well. The two had to jump on rocks to pass through a dangerous stream of running water that may or may not have man eating residence. While it would take 30 minutes to reach back to town, Libitina's shortcut managed to get them to their destination in 15 minutes. The town was bustling like always. Women bargaining with shopkeepers, Adults working their jobs, kids playing with wooden swords or dolls and that oh so lovely smell of fresh baked goods that filled the air. "One moment" She told @Camus Varic and went into the bakery, coming out shortly with brown bag. She put her hand into the bag and took out a fresh batch of jelly filled bread, handing it to the silver haired male, before taking out a bun for herself and letting her pets go into bag to eat the remaining. Without even exchanging words, she continued walking to the middle of the town where the quest board stood. There weren't many people in front of the board, then again, there weren't many quests either. Surprisingly, the good ones still remained on the cork board. She was sure they were left behind because they were more difficult. She found one interesting and took it off the board, handing it to the tall male. "Let's do this bunny boy. It sounds interesting. Maybe it wouldn't determine who the stronger one is but I cannot afford to lose such an interesting quest" In the paper it was written: "For the past few weeks, the children of our village have been disappearing. It all began when the statue of our deity was found broken. We have angered our God and now it is taking revenge by taking our kids. We believe that if we find the person responsible for breaking the statue and sacrifice them, our children would come back to us. Please help us out to find the culprit. You will be rewarded handsomely for your help -Village men " "I know the village location at it is not that far from here. Stupidly religious but decent people I would say"
Yes, he was getting told to not judge a book by its cover. It wouldn't be the first time or the last time that he had heard such a phase. Though would it change how he was? No... he would end up doing the same things over and over again. This was just how he was and he wasn't going to change because some girl told him to. He wasn't some prince that would fall in love at first sight with some girl he met in the wood. He didn't believe in fairy tales, nor in things such as true love's kiss. Why would he simply change his ways because some girl batted her lashes and told him not to. No, Libitina wasn't even someone he would consider a girl in the sense that a girl should be. She was some brute rather than a girl. She even threw the fruit down. So maybe he couldn't judge based on that because he had done the same thing, but still. Girls, weren't suppose to do things that guys did--- it went against the nature of the world. Was this world different than how it should be. Okay, so as the player he wasn't this gender selective or anything, he wasn't even this much of an asshole-- but he was one who truly got into his character and he enjoyed it. "Yeah yeah, go and cry me a river with the books." That was muttered, not that he cared if she heard him or anything though, but he had to give such a sarcastic remark back. So she was actually going to take the handicap anyway because he wouldn't find something fun, he pretended to look insulted. "Hey now! I am plenty fun, you are the one who shouldn't be judging a book. Though I'll let you pick the poison all the same as I did say I would give it to you. " He was the one who would probably end up being bored with this, but it would be a hardship that he would just go and make up with something else later. She even stated how the winner's choice would be made after. He shrugged "fine by me, do lead the way." So she knew some shortcut, not that it bothered him to play follow the leader in the forest back to town. Who knew maybe another dire crow would attack on the way. He looked down at the bunny as it seemed to paw him. "Wait here" then he took off following after he with her shortcut. He had to hand it to her actually that it wasn't a lame nor was it exactly a safe shortcut-- but he had no problem keeping up nor did he have problems with any of the things that came his way. After all, he had tried to fly upon both a dire crow and a flying alligator when he had still be more or less new to the game-- he enjoyed the daring stuff. The rocks were just like jumping upon the mushrooms of Esuilus. So she would at least be interesting enough to have around. Though nothing attack them, which was slightly less interesting. Though he continued to follow her into the town. Once there, she had made him wait outside of a bakery. So maybe she was more of a typical girl after all. He waited and soon she came out with a brown bag and handed him a jelly filled bread. He actually did offer her a smile , no sarcasm or thanks. The smile wasn't even real, but it seemed like he was playing along well with others at that moment. He would take a bite of the bread-- might as well continued to play well with others. He would soon follow her up to the cork board where the job requests would be posted. There were a few still, but usually the ones that remained weren't typically good. They were either stupid or rough on new people. Seemed like it was the latter and those proved to be interesting. "Not my name, Doll." He took the poster that had been handed to him and read it over. Well she was right when she stated that it was interesting quest, Crimson eyes skimmed over the paper. It was what seemed to be a hit mission more than anything else. They stated how they wanted help to find the culprit who broke a statue-- but they didn't say if they wanted them dead or alive-- so might as well be a hit. "Sounds like lovely people. I do have agree with you though, Doll. It is a quest that we can't afford to lose and it will be worthy enough to see who the stronger of us is." He smirked , he would never pass up a hit mission. So they wanted to sacrifice them, but the way he read it is it didn't matter dead was dead. "Tell me there isn't a volcano that these people are going to roast this person in." That was a cue for the inner demon 'wonder if this poor unfortunate soul is a virgin? Bon fire anyone!'
