Open - Storm's a Brewin

  1. Violet eyes flickered from the tone of voice, another non-believer no doubt. The violet hair of the woman moved silently, the silked strands falling off her bare shoulder with a simple flick of her wrist. The Dark Witch turned and eyed the one who had given just a blatant disregard for decorum and tact to the self proclaimed Queen.

She did not speak, but her face remained a quiet smile as she overlooked the shadowy figure from the distance. She brought her arms together, her busty chest coming together to show the ample cleavage she bore as she tapped a finger against her lip, the metallic piercings giving off a small glint from the low light in the area. Leaning her weight to one side, her bare hip jut from the opposite as she squinted her eyes at the lady.

"I have a name, but what would you offer in exchange for such valuable information... Miss..." A quick use of her Investigation Mode gave the name easily enough from the woman who was not too far away from her own eyes. "Miss Varic. Pretty name for a pretty woman." Vivian smiled and danced her body towards the other female, holding herself in perfect confidence. A small squint of her eyes, "Vivian Cruz. Queen Vivian if you wish to call me as such, though I don't expect it from you. It is more or less self title for now, but I have plans and a future for Astorea and it demands me as a Queen one day."

And with a small sweep of her hand, the hot aura that radiated around her dispersed. She had let her guard down now and was looking at the female not too far from her field of view. "A little more blush on the cheekbones might help with that ghostly complexion you have going on there. Why not come a bit closer so that I might have a better look at those pretty eyes of yours..."

  2. Always the bright and cheerful one Manya was. Though he saw nothing wrong with it, he still saw the other as useful. How could he not, the Faerin had so much potential and it was in such a compact package. Though crimson eyes would follow the other all the same Manya would look upon the ground. There was black marks, it clearly showed the events that had happened prior. How much he wished that he had gotten to witness this witch as Manya called her. He just couldn't treat her as a friend would-- no that wouldn't set well with Manya at all.

Though the thought of someone declaring herself as Queen of Astorea-- well it was laughable at best. This wasn't the first case of someone declaring themselves as ruler. This wasn't something that he himself had done, which might surprise some who got ot witness his personality first hand. Being King of Anything was something he would desire, but he was more the person to actually prove his strength and take what he wanted. The plan was actually set in motion, he just had to keep moving to get to this goal. This witch could provide to be useful. 'Would you make an example out of her or recruit her?' Leave it to the little demon to pose such a question. Though this time it made sense.

She would be useful in helping to progress Manya forward. He could feel the anger coming off of the Faerin and he could only imagine why the anger was so much. Burned alive with dark magic, the situation was similar-- not that he knew that the situation did mirror his and Manya's first meeting more than just the use of dark magic. He was unaware that she had shown her power because someone had bumped into her. Though unlike in his and Manya's situation there had been no hero. Now this witch's magic had been similar to the incantation he had used. Except instead of making his intended target burn alive all at once, he had started with simply making the blood boil. The dark marks seemed like it had been an external type of fire rather than internal.

He had to stop the smirk from clearly showing upon his lips the more he listened to Manya. He softly placed his hands upon the other's shoulders. "And you surely will meet her again. I can promise you that much. Wannabe tyrants do not have a place in the world. All you need is time and you will be able to do the right thing. You've already taken the first steps in the right direction." That was right, Manya needed to let the hate grow within him. He could mold him yet, it was seeming to be easier and easier now. The inner demon seemed to give a whistle. 'Yes let the fire burn. Though what happens when it runs out.'

He pushed the inner demon away and had removed his hands from the other's shoulders. "Say, I actually have a great idea. That is if you are interested. I and a few others were going to go on an adventure. It would be fun, maybe a little dangerous-- but hey it keeps life interesting that way. I can always help you to develop so when you meet her again you will be ready." He actually looked forward to seeing his little Faerin growing up and being able to fight others and take them down. He would be proud when that day came. "Together we can take on anything that life throws at us."

  3. From her perch on the roof of the bar, Lorelei watched the violet-haired woman as she moved towards the bar. Her mossy-hued gaze took in everything from the flick of her wrist against her hair to the sway of her curvy hips; from the way she tapped her lips to the curve of the smile on them. It was quite apparent that the human thought highly of herself as well as of her figure. The thought brought a slight curve of a smirk to Lorelei's own lips. Under any other circumstances she might have actually found the violet-haired vixen to be attractive, but the high and mighty attitude really kind of turned her off to things. “You don't seem to mind it from the male, Princess.”

She pushed the voice away. She knew it was referring to Camus and she didn't care to focus on that. She had her own reasons for her thoughts on that, and they weren't the subject at hand. She cleared her thoughts as she focused back on the woman. The words she spoke were almost sweet; too sweet. They rolled off of the woman's tongue like honey followed by the bee's sting. It pulled a knot into the Yladian's stomach that she didn't often get. “This one's pure poison, Princess, or at least thinks she is.” She didn't even bother to silence the voice this time. She knew it was right.

Her focus didn't change as, even from the distance still between them, she felt the aura around the other woman change. She seemed unaffected by her almost flirtatious tone as well. In fact, her naturally tinted lips parted, slowly, her left hand moving up to cover them as she gave a light yawn and her mossy-toned eyes seemed to roll, slightly. It was obvious that the woman had used investigation mode to learn her name rather than asking her, and she had given her own up freely after acting as if she wouldn't. This was already proving that it was going to be a fun meeting. A slight chuckle came from her lips as she bent her knees, slightly and grasped the roof's edge. Her body moved gracefully into a backflip. Her legs lifted and moved over her head, the movements fluid as they flowed into her back arching. The arch of her back led into her arms stretching to lower her body as she moved from the roof and dropped to the ground.

Her feet were silent as they landed on the hardened earth beneath her and she drew herself up to her full height of five feet nine inches. Grasping the bottom of her corset-style multi-buckled leather top, she straightened it over the waist of her tightly fitted leather pants, the motion causing the raised curve of her breasts to bounce, slightly, as she released the leather of her top. Moving her left hand, she brushed her fingers through her long, currently loose, bluish-black tinted hair as she turned from the other female. Her frame, though slightly slimmer than the other female's held an almost cat-like grace as the curve of her hips shifted with the movement of her steps. “You aren't the first I've met to give themselves such a title or purpose, Miss Cruiz, and I'm sure you won't be the lasr.” She stated, her tone rather dry, as she began to make her way back towards the door to the bar. “Care to join me for a drink?”

Her current actions and motions were slightly out of character for her. It wasn't something that she would deny. “There you go, Princess. Strut your stuff.” She shoved the voice away as the smirk came back over her lips. She didn't have anything to prove, so acting in such a manner was something that would seem pointless to some, but Vivian had issued a silent challenge in Lorelei's eyes. The other woman had made it seem by her words alone that she believed herself to be superior and her body language only confirmed it. For Lorelei, it had quickly become a game, and she fully intended to make sure it was known that she was no mere pawn.

  4. Manya was still silent, musing. Sure enough, he was thinking of other things, but that did not mean he didn't hear @Camus Varic and his offer. He nodded absently, but then shook himself awake figuratively, focusing on the here and now instead of being disjoint.

"Yes, sorry. Was thinking. And sure!" At least an adventure sounded interesting, although it can entail many things, from just exploring to fighting. Not that he picked and chose his fights - nowadays, he found it a lot easier to justify his actions as he struck out at monsters and wayward bandits, since they posed a great threat to other people, people who may not be able to defend themselves

"What kind of adventure is it, and who are the others?" More so than the difficulty or whether it was fun, he was more curious about the people who were tagging along. Camus, of course, was already known to him, but what about the others? And there was also the question of what the adventure might be about.

"I appreciate your concern, I really do. And yes, I think that as long as people work together, everything they face can become a lot easier to handle, easier to cope with."

That being said, there was a slight caveat. Manya had also heard of the storm that was coming in three days, and while Dunnstads was firmly on land, that did not mean that it was safe from a storm. The weather could get ferocious at times if it wanted to, after all, and they had to act quickly. But more so than that...

    "When are we leaving?"

That was the important question. While gathering a group and planning everything out didn't take much time, he hoped that it wouldn't be too soon. If possible, he wished to go and meet Madison, perhaps talk to her one last time and ask her if she knew about this Vivian person. With any luck, she'd be able to clear up a lot of doubts that Manya had, and if all goes well, he'd return from the visit all the wiser.

  5. Manya was something else. He could easily see that the other had his mind elsewhere, yet the Faerin still stated how he was thinking. He could have asked what he was thinking about but he wasn't one to pry. Sure, if it actually involved him and he could use it-- well he might. He had joked with others along his journey on how they might have been day dreaming of unicorns and the like. Though it wasn't something he could do with Manya. Well he could, but it wouldn't have the same effect. He adjusted himself depending on his company. He didn't have to make small talk about things such as thought or the weather-- though from time to time he might.

The other had gone instantly into the particulars of this adventure. He should at least be glad that the other didn't turn him down and turn the other way, Though he knew what he was working with there. Now he didn't know what was going on back at the tavern. He didn't know anything but what he had left, so what he said wasn't going to be a lie. He could have lied and told Manya that they were going on a nice safe adventure-- but why do that. The boy would probably be more drawn to the fact of an adventure with pirates. It would be the perfect time to see just what the other may or may not learned when they were apart.

He smiled at the other "brilliant, I'm glad to have you on board. As for your questions of what type of adventure among other things. Well I'll start from the end and go onward. The first and foremost question of when we're leaving.. well I would prefer to leave as soon as possible." Though gathering the other suckers would be a task and he wondered if Lorelei had secured the ship yet. Would it be a free for all and they all got to Druuk by themselves and then teamed back up to fight the bloody pirates. Now that could be a plan, he could easily get a ship himself though. He might not have some feminine sex appeal like Lorelei but he could negotiation just about anything. The people around here didn't look that smart either, especially not the NPCs.

Should he come straight out and tell Manya all about the pirates and how he wanted to more or less pick a fight with them and go see the beasties. Okay, maybe leave that part out. "Have you ever wondered what awaits upon Druuk Island? Pirates and bandits and haunts , the possibilities of adventure are endless there! Who knows what actually awaits us there" there was no formal jobs, it was just a bunch of people gathering and going on to see what awaited them. Now he could have worded things better, but he had worded it as such because he had seen the darkness and anger before.

"It would be a perfect way of working towards a goal." He had said how it might be a little dangerous. He wondered how well his skills would go against the pirates. Would they be the stupid type or would they be smart and cunning? Would they all carry around jars of dirt or would they be cannibals . Lorelei had said something about maybe being asked to join their ranks-- what a dreamer that one was. Though he saw nothing wrong with being a pirate , though he also wasn't one to not travel. Well he couldn't be carried away with what might await them. Even if doom awaited them he would get away, leaving Lorelei and Tavion on their own.

He wouldn't leave Manya there, he would make the situation where it looked like he could only save Manya and he had to leave the others. Then he would come back and save everyone and he would be one step closer to his own goals. "Right! I have two others who are going to come with us. I don't know if anyone else joined my comrades back at the tavern yet though. There is Tavi and Lollie. You'll get along with them." Lorelei he didn't worry about but Tavion... well his appearance might scare Manya. He was beaming by now "so are you ready for the adventure ahead?" Now he hadn't forgotten about the warning of the storm-- though well it didn't bother him at all either.

  6. "Tavi and Lollie?"

Very odd names, but 'Manya Boole' wasn't exactly the best name either, so the boy simply nodded and accepted what the other man said. This felt more like an exploration than anything, an adventure into a place that was notorious for being dangerous. But the simplest way to say what it was, was that it wasn't going to be safe.

Well, that's why you kept Manya around, of course - he was good at patching wounds and helping folk.

"Oh, I guess I'll meet them in person. And yes, I'm ready for the adventure!" Manya was practically beaming, of course. Camus, despite his tendency to brood and think, was still a friendly figure to Manya, and perhaps one of the people he'd grown to respect and also see as a friend. Perhaps not a peer, though - he seemed to be far more experienced than Manya was, although that was understandable since Manya so far had stuck to simple things and training, rather than be involved in anything too dangerous.

"I've heard a bit about Druuk Island. It's a home for the pirates, but the seas around are also haunted by the spirits of those lost at sea. Do we have passage on any ship that'd take us there? I'd think that the captains might be reluctant to sail out since a storm's coming in a few days..." Manya tried to mentally imagine the distances and sailing times, but considering that he was terrible at estimation and didn't really have either the experience or the learning to make educated guesses, he just gave up on trying something pointless.

"Oh well, I'm sure that you can somehow handle it!"

That being said, this felt too...vague, for a normal journey. Druuk Island was new to Manya, and perhaps the rest of their party, but it was by no means a strange land since people have been there before and now - there was even a normal town, although the law had only a loose hold over there.

"Perhaps one day, we should also explore past the Canyon, across the bridge to Tertoria! I wasn't there when the bridge was built or finished, but I heard that a lot of the adventurers helped out in making it! It must be a magnificent sight, I bet."

He sighed, rocking on his heels before lighting up once more. "So, where are these other two friends of yours?", he asked @Camus Varic , curious now to meet these new people

  7. With mild amusement, Vivian watched the woman gracefully fall from the heavens of her perch into the dim light below. She tilted her head lightly and watched all the bending and limbre form of the lithe figure fall into place with a simple fluid motion. Vivian, had it been another day or another time, would have ravished the woman in love and dirty deed, but tonight...she had stopped herself from becoming that lusting individual. Though the thoughts of an intimate night in bed with such a cute honey had not been far from her mind.

Miss Varic had found herself on even playing field with Vivian, down to the earth and not high above to watch but now showed off more of her more curvy details. The woman's mauve lips smirked into that trademark smile of hers and she laughed lightly and shook her head.

"A drink sounds...so boring. I wanna do something more fun, and bars are not really my thing. It is very rare for me to come out into the cities like this. I usually stay in the forest where I can work my...magic and other fun and festive things. I am not a girl you win over by simply asking them for a drink." She pouted her lips, "I'm a little more complex than your average woman..." Vivian moved, fluid motion as well as she neared the young woman and smiled.

"I like more exciting things. Like burning the flesh off people's face, or running through a cemetery and waking the dead! Those sound so much more fun than going to a bar and having a drink. Or we can go somewhere a little more private...I can easily undo that corset of yours and we can find out what you taste like from the inside out?" Vivian did her thing, it was what she was good at. But she knew this was not gonna be a one night thing, this woman was brave enough to talk to her surely she would not fall for such an easy trick like shutting herself in a room with such a dark woman. But if she had, the night would be full of festive adventures with that limber and bendy body of her.

So they were at a small impasse until one of them decided what to do. Instead, Vivian chuckled lightly and brought her face close to the woman's. She didn't touch her, didn't do anything that would warrant a slap to the face, but she looked her dead in the eyes with that seductive smile of hers and shook her head, backed off and started to walk down the alley. Vivian turned her body and placed both hands behind her back, with a wink she would continued walking backwards until her fingers were giving off a rather dark and insidious miasma.

Her chuckle disappeared with the darkness that now blossomed over her body. It was like a persistent fog that would not leave, a shroud of darkness that could not easily be disenchanted.

  8. Lorelei's elongated, pointed ears twitched at the sides of her head, their movements as fluid as her graceful steps. It was clear that even with her back turned she heard the other female's words. Any who could see her face at that moment would see the smirk she wore widening into an almost wicked grin. The look only became more devious as she could pick up the tones of the other woman's voice. She could hear the momentary pout in her words and she was certain that were she to turn around she would see her lips pursed up and possibly even a batting of her lashes.

Oh, there was so much here, already, that she could work with if she had a mind to; the current issue being that she didn't. It wasn't a night of frolicking fun she was interested in and even if she were, Vivian had already proven herself to be the type that Lorelei would sooner see strapped and whipped than free to do as she pleased. It left little to the imagination when one was so open with their sexuality, and the lack of mystery simply sort of turned her off.

“If I were trying to 'win you over,' Miss Cruiz, I assure you, my methods would be much different than a simple drink,” Lorelei stated as she turned to face the other female, having full intentions of explaining just why she had offered a drink as opposed to playing more into this little game of hers right away. However, as she turned, the violet-haired vixen had actually made it close enough that she was nearly right on her, just out of the space of actual, physical contact and Lorelei almost chuckled.

She wasn't certain if the woman thought herself to be intimidating or seductive, but the grin that crawled it's way back across the Yladian's lips in response was pure poison; the gesture even bringing an icy-cold glaze to her mossy-hued gaze. She moved her head, just a slight bend of her neck. With the simple inch of difference in their height, it was all it took to allow for her lips to just nearly brush hers, though she didn't allow them to. No, she only made sure the warmth of her breath whispered across the other female's lips. “If you keep knocking on the devil's door, Miss Cruiz, sooner or later, she just may answer.”

"Oh, My, My Princess, you are playing with Fire, aren't you? I wonder what you're little boyfriend would think, if he could see you..." The voice spoke before all it left was its laughter to echo through her mind, and she watched as the other woman stepped back from her, a light yawn leaving her naturally tinted lips as the witch slowly began to encase herself in darkness. The adjustment wasn't hard. The shadows being magical surely made it difficult, but her elfish eyes, honed for night-vision and nature's own occurrences still made out the shape of the other woman's form, even behind them. The smirk played across her lips once more and she finally let out the light, almost sinister chuckle that she had been holding within herself.

Her hauntingly lyrical voice flowing through the air and down the ally to follow the human female. “Such a pity. A drink could have led to so much more of an adventure. Though I'm sure the idea of traversing the seas and fighting pirates is beyond one such as yourself anyway.” She said, as she turned back towards the bar and opened the door. She had one companion still inside and one who would be back. If the witch wanted to leave, then it was of no concern of hers, so long as she understood just how little of an impact she truly had made on the cold-hearted assassin.

  9. He should never introduce people, that should be some unwritten rule somewhere. He knew what people's names were but he preferred to not actually call everyone by such names. Sometimes he did it to be cute, purely because he knew the person wouldn't want to be called that. Most of the times, he simply just enjoyed seeing how many buttons he could press upon a person. Did he want a person to snap on him? Well that greatly depended on the person themselves. It was part of what kept things interesting to him. He liked to go right up to a line and not exactly cross it. Though some names he even found hard to come up with names with-- it didn't mean that person ranked any less in his book.

Manya, for example, hadn't been given a cute little nickname. He had tried to think of one when they had first met, though he didn't want to have a sidekick named Mama or Yaya. Of course he could have called him Mana, but he didn't see why he shouldn't just stick to the boy's actual name instead. It ended up for the better anyways in the long run. The little group of people he seemed to always end up with-- well they ended up with their own little set of nicknames. One in particular had earned the name of Gladdie Poo. He had wanted to give the other the most obnoxious name he could think of for a few selected reason. Though this would remain a mystery as he would never dare to speak of such thoughts out loud.

He smiled as the other was ready for the adventure. He was very glad that the other was so ready to start upon something. Some might find such an attitude like this off putting-- the ones who tried to see the good in everyone and everything--- though he rather liked that about Manya. He didn't get someone who was nagging him on something being too dangerous and how he shouldn't do something-- no he was ready for whaqtever might come. He did mention the storm that was coming. Though he saw nothing wrong with the questions that were aimed at him.

"That you might be right, but there are always those who are ready for whatever adventures come their way. The thrill seekers and the likes who are more than willing to ride out any storm that might come. A captain should be ready for anything, they aren't truly a captain if they can't sail a little storm." So maybe he didn't believe the warning he had been given. If the storm actually hit then all the better. It just meant that their little journey would end up with more twists and turns. He looked towards the tavern where he had last left Lorelei and Tavion.

They had been called his friends. That word... could they really be called as such. He tolerated people he didn't particularly like them at all. "They are at the tavern, just around the corner." He didn't set out just yet he decided to add in about what wonders that Manya had brought up. "I'm sure we can explore past the canyon. It should make for a wonderful journey for us. Who knows maybe we can get everything explored in our little adventure here. I'm sure not many would complain to little side journeys at all." With this he set off on his way towards the tavern that he had pointed out to Manya. Even if they did get separated he knew that the other would be able to find his way towards the other just well. Another down, he wondered if Tavion and Lorelei had gotten any other 'suckers' to join them or if this little crew would be all that it was going to be. What more if Lorelei had actually gotten the ship or if he was going to have to do the work. He was after all trusting a lot to Lorelei, it might be too big of a task for a woman to handle.

Once more as he turned the corner, he would miss yet another thing of action. Though it was clear that something had happened as he was able to hear Lorelei's voice flowing around in the air. A drink could have led to an adventure. Had she been trying to invite another to join them? 'Seems like the trollop failed at whatever she was trying.' He looked at the alley way, his crimson eyes could faintly make out a form in the darkness. The source of who Lorelei had spoken to, but he didn't follow. Something told him that if they truly wished to be a player in this game , they would come on their own. He housed no ties to a form in the darkness. He saw no use in trying to follow it when he had other things to do. Such as entering the tavern once more and Manya should be right behind him. He hoped the Faerin didn't run into any problems without him right by his side. After all there was still the matter of the witch that he had been told about.

He had made sure that his presence hadn't been easily detected by the other Yladian. It was best to analyze one before making the next move. Once he knew Lorelei had entered the tavern, he waited a few minutes and followed suit. A smile spread upon his lips as he looked at the two he had been with prior to the scream. "I have arrived once more, you don't have to worry at all anymore!" His crimson eyes glanced not at Tavion but at Lorelei. "Oh I found another to join us" he spoke as he walked towards the table. "Now Lollie, did you take care of the ship." He wouldn't speak of seeing her speaking to the figure in the darkness just yet. The ship was more important.

  10. "Here's hoping!", Manya said as he followed the other, glancing around. The fact that this was the first time he was here was not lost on him and had he been found in a better mood, he'd have been admiring the place, instead of being in a very disjoint mood. Still, he tried to get used to the place, since he was likely to visit this place a lot more. For some reason, Druuk Island felt like a good place to settle in, despite all the stories about the place.

"Hmm, visiting Tertoria would be quite something...", but of course, that was a plan for the future, and the future is where it will stay, for now. They got to focus on their current adventure, after all!

Manya tilted his head, listening to the voice in the air as they reached the tavern. It felt like someone was having a conversation, although it didn't sound like an ordinary conversation. They had chanced upon its tail end, and it was gone. Just so.

Manya was a bit surprised when @Camus Varic stopped before entering the tavern, but he didn't question the pause. But then he saw one of the figures enter the tavern, and he followed right behind Camus once again. As they had entered he saw the Yladian greet two people, a man, and a woman - also Yladians both. Manya simply peeked around Camus and waved at the other two.

Of them, it seems like Camus was addressing the woman, Lollie. Considering his words, she was the one who was supposed to get them the ship. Manya might have felt compelled to point out the thing about the oncoming storm, but perhaps she had already thought about it. So instead of that, he stepped forward and extended his hand to shake.

"Hello! My name's Manya Boole, White Magician!", he spoke up, introducing himself in his usual, cheerful manner. The tiny faerin simply studied the other person, innocent curiosity on his face. "And you are?", he asked, because surely @Lorelei Varic wasn't actually named 'Lollie'...was she?

  11. Lorelei's steps were silent as she made her way back across the floor of the bar. Her hips didn't sway like the witch's had as she walked, rather they shifted in a manner that allowed her hips to move with an almost feline-like rocking. She made her way back to the table, her gaze glancing over Tavion only long enough to see that he seemed to be engrossed in something of his own, for the moment. Giving a small shake of her head, she signaled the NPC who had brought her drink prior for a refill and had her bring Tavion a glass as well. She sat in silence as she waited for the NPC to return with her drink and she thought over the events since she and Camus had left due to the scream that had rung through the air. “What's the matter, Princess? You can't get the violet-haired vixen off your mind, now. Did she make that much of an impact? And here I thought the loud-mouthed male was more your type.”

“Shut up already. It isn't anything like that.” She said the words out loud. The growl in her voice was apparent as she wondered if she could kill the damned voice in her head without actually killing herself. Her words were true, though. Her interest in the witch lay in the power she had felt from her, not the overly curvy figure she had seemed so intent on accentuating and showing off. Her strength could be a great asset to the little group they were putting together. Even having seen no true show of it, herself, she could feel that much in the aura that had surrounded the other woman. If only that sense of true importance wasn't overshadowed so heavily by her sense of self-importance.

As the NPC returned and placed two glasses on the table, she heard the creak of the bar's door opening. Her mossy-hued gaze lifted to it, instantly. As Camus stepped through the door and made his way over to the table, she shook her head, slowly. His words were boisterous as usual, but they actually brought her to want to smile. His was an arrogance that to her seemed fitting. It was different than the self-imposed sense of greatness the witch seemed to have carried. It probably shouldn't have seemed so, but there was something in the way the violet-haired female had come across to her that had left her with a bad taste in her mouth. She never got that way feeling from Camus. Of course, he had never claimed a right as King nor treated her the way the witch had, either. Perhaps that was the difference. Hell, even Galadion, the self-proclaimed King she did follow didn't put off such an air as the witch had.

Her gaze was drawn, instantly, to a flash of movement from behind her silver-haired companion, and she tilted her head. Her gaze locked onto the smaller male as he peeked around Camus. “I wasn't worried at all. You've always managed to show back up one way or another.” She said as she glanced back up at Camus. “Not that I'm complaining.” She chuckled. Her tone was light, almost friendly and her lips curled into a bit of a smirk as she heard him ask if she had gotten them a ship. “That isn't my name...” The response was automatic; her tone held no sign of actual upset or malice, rather it kept that even, calm tone. “I told you we didn't have to worry about that. Just trust me. When we know we're ready to go, there will be a ship waiting.” It was a rather cryptic way to answer him, but it was also the truth. She had known what she was going to do for passage before she had even run into him. “Though you do get points for finding someone else to share this adventure.”

As she heard the smaller male speak, her attention reverted back to him, quickly. The smirk on her lips actually spread into a full-blown smile as the Faerin reached his hand out to her and introduced himself. He was only the second of his race that she had actually encountered in the game, and already he was definitely the most cheerful player she'd come across. The smaller male's current temperament was damned near infectious. It wasn't like the almost poisonous tones she felt from Camus when he put on that friendly mask. No, this one's words rang with a genuine kindness that she didn't experience often. She couldn't help but wonder how long he had actually been a part of Terrasphere, as most didn't seem to keep such a demeanor when it came to the game.

Taking Manya's hand, as it was offered, and she shook it heartily. Her head tilted, slightly, as she listened to him speak. He seemed young. There was an innocence about him that was unmistakable, and she let her gaze move back to Camus for a moment. It wasn't hard for her to see the appeal for him in the Faerin. She knew well that there were ideas in Camus' mind of how things should work and what the world should be like, even if it was simply the game. She hadn't forgotten how their first meeting and adventure together had been. She said nothing, though, as she turned her eyes back to Manya, the smile still on her lips. If the boy fell into Camus' little web, it was his own doing. What concerned her more was how much of an asset he would be to them for this voyage.

“Manya is it? A strong name indeed. One that I can imagine will one day be written in the books of history and lore, sung in the songs of bards, and found within the regaling tales of world-wearied travelers.” Her voice flowed with that same lyrical tone, dripping with an honesty that was too pure to be anything but honey, as her smile widened and she released the Faerin's hand. “The name's Lorelei.” She did not state her profession or give any other information. She was still assessing the young Faerin and she was certain Camus would have more of his own to say as well.

  12. Manya liked this woman! She had returned his enthusiasm with her own, and she seemed like a likable person!

However, her words right after were certainly something! He felt a blush creep up his cheeks, coloring his face a rosy pink. As he let go of the other's hand after shaking, he'd pull his hat down shyly over his own face, the oversized wizard's hat almost full obscuring the diminutive faerin from view as he crouched down, turning into a tiny ball of an aspirant hero.

"P-please don't say that...", he said, now thoroughly embarrassed at the words she had spoken. He had almost missed out on her own introduction, but he managed to catch it.

So her name wasn't Lollie? Well, that was to be expected, at least! And from under the brim of his hat, soulful brown eyes peeked out to look at the woman. He smiled, and his cheeks were still quite flushed with her praise.

"It's n-nice to meet you too, Miss Lorelei! Are you a friend to Camus?"

He looked past @Lorelei Varic and at the other man at the table, who was still engrossed in something that he was doing. Perhaps that was Tavie? It seems likely.

It was three Yladians, then. Three Yladians and an extra-small Faerin. Not the weirdest party out there, but definitely eyebrow-raising. Still, with the wave of embarrassment washing off after the quite undeserved faith in him, he peeked out from under the hat at @Camus Varic , wondering what was next.

  13. Manya had managed to come up right behind him after all. At least there was no danger to be had for the little Faerin since the encounter with the witch. He still was upset that he had managed to miss the witch twice! Not just Manya had seen her, but he could bet anything that the figure he had seem covered in the darkness was the very witch that had made Manya hate. What type of person was this witch he had to wonder. He could ask Lorelei-- she would give him an answer. 'Though do you really want her type of answer. Girls don't like other girls. Not that you would probably even like being around the witch either. You're more a demon person.'

He almost growled at the little demon, he knew what it was referring to and he refused to take the bait. Though it continued, but he could hear Manya introducing himself to Lorelei in the background. He kept the title of white magician, honestly titles weren't even needed in this world. Sure some still kept them. It would be like Lorelei going up to people an introducing herself as an assassin-- okay so maybe that actually did still exist. Though when it came to every day meetings, the title wasn't needed unless one was looking for a job. 'He is still so young. Face it white magician flows off the tongue, not that anyone would see that Faerin as anything of a threat. You were even drawn to him, he still thinks your a goody goody doesn't he? Oh but don't forget he saw you use your own black magic. He doesn't know all your little secrets like the trollop does. Why don't we tell him!'

Why did the little demon hate him so much? Right, because it was developed because of all the twisted things that had happened to him. Wait, wait Lorelei wasn't complaining about him being around?! 'Of course, for whatever reason the princess loves your company. Bang her, she wants to be banged so badly. Don't you see how she is literally begging for it. Just take her on the table. One companion needs a jolt of life and the little Faerin-- I'm sure he would love to see what his parents are up to.' That was jumping off the deep end for the little demon. Not because it seemed obsessed with him banging Lorelei, but because that last little bit. When the fuck did they become the parents?

Their group was a bunch of Yladian and a Faerin, it wasn't the oddest group he had found himself involved in-- in fact it seemed to make sense somehow. Though this wasn't a version of house, this game wasn't even set up to be like house in the least. Sure, one could mold one's character -- but it didn't mean that everyone held a pretty little life with white picket fences. Actually he didn't think he had seen a single white picket fence -- that or a unicorn. Two things that could have been some perfect life. White picket fences and a perfect little family, no bloodshed and a vast field where unicorns could roam. Terrasphere wasn't that type of game, that was some chick game that he would never pick up in his life. He didn't even believe in some perfect life with a perfect family because he would never have that.

He didn't need the little demon to make him hate the life he led. Terra made it better, but the little demon had brought his mind into a place it didn't need to be. Neither his player or the character was stable when it came to things of normal ties-- the mask was strong with this one. The little demon seemed to cackle within his mind, it seemed satisfied and so it didn't say anything else so he was allow to focus on the conversation between Lorelei and Manya. Tavion was engrossed in his own things, though that Tavi was a weird one and part of him did have the urge to poke the mask wearing comrade of his.

"Don't let her fool ya, Manya. She is a sly one this one." Yes he hadn't forgotten about the poppy incident between them. Though unlike with Galadion he didn't house hostile feelings in the variety of wanting to end Lorelei. He had turned to see the scene and he half snorted at the way Manya seemed to hide under his hat as if the little Faerin was afraid of the big bat Lorelei! It was amusing to him, and he didn't need a mask to fake this. "Lollie will forever be her name, ya see. " Well Lorelei had already made Manya hide and more than likely flush due to her words-- maybe he should have a little fun as well.

He smiled and gave a great bow before Lorelei "I mean I could always call you m'lady. Isn't that right" he didn't speak her name nor did he speak the name of Lollie. He rose up and took her hand kissing it before he let it go. He could feel many of the NPC's eyes upon him, that right NPCs eat it all up. He had gone to slightly pat Manya on the back after that. "You're going to get along with the group fine, just like I told ya. They don't bite... okay maybe Rikki Tikki Tavi does. Though they are love bites I assure you." He pointed in the direction of Tavion. "That is Tavi or as he would probably tell you Tavion. Though you can call him Tavi and you can call Lorelei by Lollie too...she does secretly like it."

He looked at her and slightly winked at her. Oh he was going to have fun with all of this. This was his element and now he had someone to show off too and well impress and win over. Manya was his sidekick after all and he didn't need him running for the hills or anything. He had it in his head now, once they got to Druuk and he just happened to see a glimpse of his worse side-- he could always come up with something. He swore though if Lorelei tried to poppy him again he would find something that would embarrass her and make sure she was broken. 'Just bang her and get her to call you master or something. Your into that kind of kink aren't ya. You both love each other and Manya is your love child, face it.'

He did growl under his breath, but he had gone closer to Lorelei. It seemed as if he was a predator in those few moments. Crimson eyes flashing a darker colour , and his body coiling into a strike. "Shut up" it was such a low growl that probably only Lorelei could have heard the actually words. Though it only lasted for a second before a smile was plastered on his lips again. "Right I do get all the points for bringing the team together. You could always repay me for it later, love. Now I think this might be what we have to work with for going to Druuk. Though it will work out for us in the end. You said the ship would be waiting when we settled upon leaving, brilliant." He waved over the NPC waitress once more "Manya care for a drink. Another refill for me and whatever he wants" he after all had seen that Lorelei had already gotten her and Tavion things. Though he couldn't resist the urge anymore and poked Tavion. "Are you still with us?" Now he hadn't forgotten about his idea of sacrificing NPCS along the way, but he would round up a bunch of them before they departed.

  14. “Now, now. Don't go doing that.” Lorelei chuckled as she took a drink from her glass and peered over at the Faerin, watching as he seemed to hide beneath the brim of his hat. “It was only a thought, Friend. It wasn't meant to embarrass ya.” She grinned as he peeked back out at her and she heard his question to her. Was she friends with Camus? She still debated that question, herself. It was hard to determine. Sure, she liked the guy; not that she had told him so, but in truth she didn't feel he viewed her the way she did him. She wasn't certain on how to answer Manya at all. Though, thankfully, she didn't have to answer right away.

Camus' voice broke through their conversation and her eyes turned to the silver-haired male. He was telling Manya that Lollie would forever be her name and she immediately responded in her normal manner. “That's not my name, Camus. Come on, now. Do I have to go back to calling you Cammy?” She couldn't help her teasing tone. There was something in the shine of his eyes as he spoke that she knew, immediately, he was up to something. What she wasn't prepared for, however, was the actions he took next.

He bent low before her, bowing as if he were some regal person and took her hand, only to kiss it. His words dripped with sweetness as he mentioned calling her 'M'lady'. She simply gave him a small smile and shook her head. "That won't be necessary, Camus. I assure you, there's no need for such formalities.” She held the light tone of comradeship in her voice, as she responded to him, though she was certain that the heat she could feel on her cheeks wasn't hidden well at all. Only one person had ever called her such and though they were still searching each other out in game, it was surely not possible that Camus could be the friend she had met in her real life, right?

She had tensed with her thoughts. It wasn't that she wouldn't want them to be true so much as it was that she feared they would be. Camus hated her...What would that mean for her and Damien? As he continued on with his words, she pushed the thoughts away and tried to relax, glad for the change in subject, as he focused on Tavion and then back on herself. “What makes you think I like it at all?” She said with a friendly laugh. “Besides, you're the only one who calls me such. It was the truth. “Of course it's the truth, Princess. You only like it because it's him. Wouldn't that be great? Wouldn't it just be perfect? The little Princess, in love with the Prince in both worlds. Maybe he'll actually take you here. He seems more aggressive.” There was no way it was true. Camus and Damien...It couldn't be, right? She shoved the voice away as she looked back over the two, focusing her thoughts back on them. They had planning to do, after all.

Camus had moved closer to her and she caught his low, roughly growled 'shut up'. It seemed he was having trouble holding on to his ruse. She had seen him act in such a manner once before, and she was almost certain she knew what caused it. She knew he wasn't actually speaking to her, either, which only lead her to believe she was thinking right, though she wouldn't say anything about it. She gave him a small smile, as she tried to silently let him know that if he needed her to help him, somehow, she would find a way, but he seemed to recover quickly enough.

He was speaking of them being it for the adventure, her getting the ship and he was ordering drinks for himself and Manya. He had done well to recover, but his smile seemed more forced. He didn't seem as relaxed as he had previously, and she took a chance as she replied to him. “Aye, Love. I'll have the ship taken care of as soon as I know we're all ready to depart." She answered him, in the same manner, he had spoken to her, It was becoming a game again, and she was actually feeling that she might enjoy it.
