When the magic dragged Merkaba into the hall of zombies. She was actually further excited by it. The darkness... was literally calling out to her! It flung her and several others into the room. The witch generated her scythe the weapon of death itself to push herself up and dusted off her dress from the sand that had dirtied it. The room was reeking of evil intent. The statue within the room was dark, it held no obvious lighting. Interesting perhaps it's light was that of darkness itself? The skeletons in the room and screeching voices in the distance were mere distractions. She came here to learn not be thrown into yet another mess. The enemy was of similar alignment to herself and her magic was the power they thrived on. Which meant using it to slay them would be more difficult. Her ability to harden darkness like a blade may work.... no... she would do something else. It would be a experiment to test how the world of death worked here....

The dark lady raised her scythe as she stood her ground. She increased her dark mana enough to generate a circle of black around her feet. Her wing like streamers rose up behind her as the energy grew. She silently chanted...

"Edidere saltantium umbra umbra umbra ,. Noctu volare. Unbrightly semper ardebit quasi chorum saltare Umbrarum Vel! Utere me ut tuo virga..."

Small spheres of darkness generated around her. 6 of them orbiting at a fast pace. This would give her time to use her wand of mimicry and stall any zombies if they did not bend to her will. Her voice changed to that of a death god. Booming throughout the museum!

"I am the god of death! Heed my words denizens of the underworld and obey my power! Feast upon each other and prove thy allegiance to me!"

She raised her scythe and stood with her blowing black wings and dark orbs. What a gamble this was to test if her alignment would grant her a advantage here...

(OOC: crazy idea, busy so whatever happens happens. Yay lol.
    - Used wand of mimicry and a weaker version her sphere spell from various threads. )

    The Fall

Jack’s effort to light up the dark room with his enchanted rock didn’t amount to much, considering the rock flew straight and only revealed what the vanguard saw up close. He did notice, however, that the statue in the dark room had a peculiar look. It depicted a man sitting on a backless chair, holding onto a staff. There as the sculpture of a three headed dog at his feet (reference). The other thing he was able to see was a large dome that was the color of blood on the right side of the room, diagonally-opposite from where he was standing.

In response to the rest of the group scampering to reposition themselves behind the wall and the statues to break the line of sight of the menacing statue in the second room, Ornson ducked behind the statue between where jack and Nalani were hiding behind. Without seeing the other group members, he shouted, hoping they are able hear him over the overpowering ambience noise in the background, “The black light seems to be elevated in the center of the room, while the red light is on the floor to the right, at least that’s what I saw with the eye earlier…”

While Ornson didn’t get the memo about the private chatting, as it was something he couldn’t comprehend, he wasn’t content with being a burden on the group. Thus, he decided to test out one of his spells. “Although my offensive spells won’t work here, I can empower a few of you,” he said.

Tightening his fist in front of him, Ornson began to whisper an incantation as a green light began to radiate from his closed fist. “Qora melesphista erandu ast orhon melles wesyn…”. Once his spell has charged up, he moved out from his hiding place where he can see Aaron, Alphabet, and Dempsey and extended his hand, targeting them with his buff. They should have obtained a status that reads, “Retaliation”

While everyone had vacated the room, Merkaba heroically stood alone, facing the horde of undead herself. When she used the wand of voice mimicry, the skeletons and mummified zombies stopped screaming and listened to the voice. Afterwards, they turned onto one another and literally started to gnaw on the boney bodies of their allies. However, it didn’t seem to do much, considering most of the horde didn’t have flesh anyways.

What it did accomplish was to buy the party some time. While Merkaba was setting up her spell, however, the familiar black energy spewed forth from the statue and filled the entire room. For those who were outside of the dark chamber, they would be able to see a pillar of black smoke extending out from the entrance, all the way down to the entrance to the outside, before is retracted and pulling in anything that was in its reach. Merkaba was caught by this strange magic as it pulled her directly into the statue, where she smashed her head on it before the force flung her over the horde of zombies and threw her into the barrier Jack saw from earlier.

While the horde was still busy feasting on one another, the dialog between the voices earlier began again. The entire party has no visual indication of what they were doing in the dark. “Vinka, what are you doing? Stop it, we need to complete our mission even if we die. We’re going to die either way so let’s fight for our belief, please, STOP IT!”

“SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU WHORE!!!” the woman referred to as Vinka screamed. Her voice was accompanied by a crunch and a thud.

Immediately afterward, the purple light on the statue’s face flashed again and the horde of skeletons and mummified corpses went back to normal. With no sight of anyone around them, however, the formerly divided horde turned and began marching toward the red dome.

A nasty sound could be heard where the dome was, it sounded almost as if something was collecting. “Ezanhurkl ajdeoan asyqol apowiaz zlairya qzulk.”

The woman, referred to as Isna earlier muttered out a blood curdling scream that quickly turned into desperate gurgling, ”P-PLEASE, VIN-KA, IT—” Before long, the sound of a human body exploding filled the dark space as spikes of blood began to spray everywhere within the room, one of them pierced the wall the vanguard was hiding behind. It was so big and sharp that they could see it punching through the wall like butter if they looked up. After that, the party can hear the sound of the sandstorm picking up, which indicated that the attack had left holes in various places within the two rooms.

The peculiar voice belonging to Vinka was sounded within the room once more, “IF YOU DON’T GET ME OUT OF HERE, WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE TOGETHER!!! FOR EACH SECOND I AM STUCK IN HERE, I’M GOING TO USE YOUR FRIEND’S BLOOD TO BREAK THE BUILDING, YOU CAN SAVE ME OR DIE TO THE SANDSTORM!!!”

    OOC:
    • Merkaba took 80% damage and lost 20% energy. She is currently at 20% HP and 20% E.
    • She must roll a d20 to get up, or her next turn will be forfeited. If her roll is higher than 17, she will get a special, private response.
    • Merkaba's wand has 3/4 charges left.
    • @Nalani Rosa @Amalia Leblanc @Lucia Mierz have cured their bleeding condition.
    • @Alphabet Chocolate @Dempsey Fabijain and @Aaron Marone now have a buff called Retaliation: reflect 20% of damage back to the source when taking damage.

  4. Alpha panted, somewhat exhausted from the high speed run she had found herself in the mad dash in reaching a safe point. A few deep breaths later and she found herself observing everyone in the room. A sigh of relief was had when she found Nalani was safe and bandaged and, after calming her nerves a bit, she looked around to see everyone there. Except Merkaba. Just as she made that realization, however, she heard the distinct voice of the woman inside. She tensed, hanging onto every word, before she furled her brows and punched the wall with barely concealed anger. She may have been scared of Merkaba due to their previous meetup, but she still cared about the woman. She had been her first companion in this game and somewhat of a friend. She shut her eyes and, despite her misgivings, screamed back. "Keep Merkaba safe and I'll save your butt!"

Without another word, she shared an understanding look with Terry and tried not to pay attention to anyone else. She wasn't sure she'd make it, but she could try (especially since Ornson buffed her) and she knew that, if she talked to anyone, she'd lose her guts. She swiftly pulled out the Transmogrification Potion in her bag and, after giving it a tentative sip, winced and gulped it all down. She gagged a bit before she felt herself change and, at the moment she did, she immediately rushed in with Terry in tow. Hopefully they'd be small enough to weave through the rows of zombies with her smaller, feline form and, if this statue was anything like its predecessor, she hoped her rope could blind the statue (and Ornson's buff strong enough to at least redirect some damage if she gets hit).

Without another thought, she ran with a goal in mind with Terry alongside her.

Consumed Cat-Transformation Potion. Goes in room, turns slightly right to avoid line of sight. Attempts to climb statue and blindfold statue with rope.

  5. Aaron grimaced. The situation was looking bad. If something wasn't done about those zombies, everyone was going to die. It was his job as the tank to not let the party die, right? Jack was gonna kill him for this...

Aaron began to chant, preparing a Smite spell against the zombies. When it neared completion, he bolted out from behind his cover, slamming his sword against his shield to make as much noise as he could before releasing the spell toward the horde of zombies.

The spell manifested as a hammer of light that launched toward the horde. Whenever it struck the masses of flesh, it would explode in a brilliant ball of holy power, designed specifically to be the bane of demons and the undead. "Hey, you undead sons of bitches! Look who's here, I'm a fucking paladin come to smite you all!" Hopefully, that would draw their attention toward him so that the rest of the party could make a plan. He just really hoped that with his heavy armor and shield, and that buff from Orson, that he could survive the zombie's attention for at least long enough for something good to come out of this all.

He cleared his throat to shout a message to the witches as well. "I hope you ladies can hear me! I give you my word, once these creatures are dealt with, if my friend still lives, you will too! No one has to die here today! Don't do anything stupid, give us time to save you before you kill us all!"

OOC: casting smite on the zombies and drawing aggro as best as possible

  6. Despite the helter-skelter nature of the fight thus far, Jack had continued to watch calmly while muttering a curse under his breath. Considering how much of a selfish liability that damned chuunibyou had recklessly turned herself into, he’d prefer to simply slay the woman outright and be done with it. His gut instinct suggested otherwise however. Yes, she was a problem and an inconsiderate prick, but halting the efforts of that corner driven witch ranked much higher on the priority list. Worst case scenario Merkaba could be dealt with later… and should the group not approve of this course of action? Well, let’s just say Jack wasn’t willing enough to put up with her shenanigans. One thousand gold was but a small pittance to be rid of this nuisance through one means or another.

The man’s attention was quickly divided into several areas of combat as he’d begin watching the raid’s members scrambling to mitigate the disaster unfolding. In his best attempt, he’d try to coordinate their efforts through the comms provided by the interface. "Amalia! (@Amalia Leblanc ) Buff to protect against evil if you can! Not sure what short is doing but if it fails we need a back up plan!” Jack then turned his head as he witnessed their paladin-in-training initiate a spell. Familiar with the magic effect due to having used it himself, he’d nod once with understanding while continuing to communicate silently. The open world would be none the wiser. “Draw them away if you can Aaron! (@Aaron Marone ) Dempsey! (@Dempsey Fabijain ) Get to the witch once he’s cleared the path! I’m gonna try to bust that barrier. Lock her down. All ranged dps get ready to burst her down! Single target, focused fire. She needs to die, fast!”

Not one to delay his own actions, the man quietly muttered an incantation from safety. “Vos nal alan du’harn!" Considering how the dome was already in view, there was no need to place himself in harm’s way to increase the support group’s burden. Once the swarm of undead had cleared to some degree, he’d watch for Dempsey’s movements. The dark haired man would then carefully time his spell to take affect against the dome just moments before the Felis’ arrival. Ideally his spell (Dispel Magic) would quickly eat away at the barrier, enabling the woman to subdue the witch as the others began their barrage. A swift kill was what the man hoped for.

    OOC:
Casting "Dispel Magic" on the red barrier.

  7. Lucia sighed, knowing well that mistakes were made, the statue after all wasn't the same woman Lucia knew as the god of death in the game. Going along with the theme, it appeared to be hades. However unfortunate, the Goddess of Death in the game was mute, so changing voices to try to imitate her wasn't a good idea. Why exactly the skeletons listened, Lucia couldn't fathom, but these greek gods were certainly not the ones in control she thought. "Kill her in one shot, then find the truth out about the statue... No big deal." She murmured to herself while she began making hand signs and seals. Her spells didn't work off of incantations, it was always seals or pre-loaded hexed arrows. Naturally her hand signs were the strongest. Starting from the moment things got more tense, she finished her spell just as Dempsey would make it to her destination and Hec would cast his own spell. Turning she poked her head out from the statue and gestured with her hand to seal the deal.

Malevolent magic would congeal, like a viscous jelly tightening up into an arrow shape. Though the ends would be dripping and sloppy, the drops falling to the ground creating a searing sound as the acid ate away into the floor, the arrow's base itself looked solid and sturdy from compression. She'd put 399 points into dark magic, she expected it to be deadly. Her gesture caused the acid arrow to dart forward, curving towards the Witch in question trying to thrust itself into the Hemomancer's chest. The arrow would be sharp enough to penetrate a little, if all went well, but it's liquid state would splash downward against her mid section in a very concentrated movement leaving almost no spray. If all went well, the witch's torso would be eaten away leaving a huge gaping hole if it didn't kill her instantly.

  8. “IF YOU DON’T GET ME OUT OF HERE, WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE TOGETHER!!! FOR EACH SECOND I AM STUCK IN HERE, I’M GOING TO USE YOUR FRIEND’S BLOOD TO BREAK THE BUILDING, YOU CAN SAVE ME OR DIE TO THE SANDSTORM!!!”

Those words sealed the deal for Dempsey. She had been on the fence as to whether to assume the shielded women beset by the un-dead should be considered to be hostile, or potential allies. After being threatened with death by building and/or sandstorm, she reached a certain point of clarity and understood that the witch had to die. She was still trying to formulate a plan that somehow involved punching through the witches barrier when Jacks voice rung loud in her own mind, as if another person were inside her body and thinking their own thoughts as well.

As the plan came together, she understood what her role would be. Once again, she would be charged with rushing in and punching the current source of danger. She was beginning to notice a pattern here, but now wasn't the time to meditate on her life choices. She hurried to the side of the dome least exposed to the un-dead and shouted "Aaron, hold them off for a little while, and I'll be able to charge up my mudra and join you! just a few seconds!" as she dropped her torch at her feet.

This, of course, was a lie. She was a martial artist for sure, but the advanced technique was still well beyond her abilities. The witch to her side whom was enjoying the last few moments of her life one way or another probably didn't know that though, and she further sold the ruse by adopting a stance she'd seen in an instruction manual at the Stokbon Library, and faked a chant, making sure she spoke softly enough that none would be able to hear her. As soon as Jack dispelled the barrier, Dempsey was on the witch like white on rice, and also Dempsey.

She skipped the foreplay of hand to hand combat, realizing that her opponent, besides likely being completely untrained in the skill, was likely already nearing the limits of her energy, and simply shot for a takedown and chokehold that would disable the womans ability to cast any further spells.

  9. She didn't get along with Jack, their personalities clashed but he was still their leader and she knew better than to question orders in an emergency. She was quick to reply. “Alright! I'm playing a song as per Jack's instructions, everyone try to stay in range.” she replied on the open channel so everyone could pick up on it. It was easy to forget sometimes that this was a game and that there were other modes of communication. “And alert me via the channel if we need to change the buff. Best of luck everyone.”

How effective this this going to be? She frowned, wondering if she was going to be able to provide protection to the group that was going to amount to much. Well, here's to hoping it would mitigate some of the effects of the attack. She took a deep breath and started playing.

The tempo of the spell was slow, but it built up with each note, growing into a strong movement that would evoke some feeling of strength – not violent strength, but of resilience, of the wish to stand up for something. There was no surprise there, she was playing a song of revolution after all, of national integrity.

OOC: Playing a Song to provide a protection against Evil to all allies she can reach.

  10. Thank goodness that Nalani had been close to Jack and Ornsen, or she wouldn't even have been able to concentrate on what the hell she was supposed to be doing. If it was up to her, she'd probably just sit back and let everyone do their job, seeing as her mind was too occupied with other things right now. Part of her yearned to curl up into a ball and just think, let her mind release of the pain of trying to push the questions away, but another part of her forced her to peak from safety, turning her attention on what was going on.

She watched as her Alphabet ran in, anxiety spiking through her chest as worry for her friend grew rapidly- A-E-I-D. Jack called out orders, Aaron distracted the army of undead, and Dempsey ran in to pin down the mage- B-C-E-D. Amalia buffed the group while Lucia cast her own spell at the now pinned down witch- X-U-Y-Z.... Wait, wasn't it her turn?

Taking a deep breath and trying to get in control of her mind, Nalani began to cast under her breath, moving so that she could aim at the witch while staying in safety. Unfortunately, the thoughts just got louder when she began to cast, and harder for her to ignore as she finished the last of her spell, directing what was supposed to be a violent purple bolt of energy towards the witch. Unfortunately, she wasn't even 100% sure she had been reciting it properly, and even though she had used a weaker attack to not risk damaging her teammates... Well, lets just say, once the attack left her wand, her eyes shut with it.

    The Fall II

Given Jack’s sharp reaction to the situation, he was the first to made eye contact with the red dome. However, all three of the spellcasters, Jack, Nalani, and Lucia needed a bit more time to reposition themselves and prepare their spellcast considering the distance between them and the red dome, as well as the horde of skeletons and zombies blocking their view.

During this chaos, Alphabet successfully changed her shape into that of a feline with the potion. With it, she was able to sneak along the wall and hid her presence from the statue that had completely turned itself toward the red dome as its undead horde began to surround it. When the skeletons reached the red dome, they began to punch, kick, and scratched the hardened shape, wailing in their eerie voices as they attempted to enter and finish the women off. With the statue turned away from her, she was able to use her sneak skill and successfully got to the base of the statue, where she could once again see a pool of dark liquid that was previously too dark to see. Using her feline senses, Alphabet could tell that the liquid was not like the blood-mixed fuel they had seen in the other room. It was different, much more magical than the other liquid.

With ease, the cat-shaped girl hopped onto the statue, although, she would soon realize that cats don’t have hands, as such, she sat on the statue’s shoulder and mewled woefully, unable to turn back until the magic’s effect expires.

Aaron managed to employ this opportunity greatly by running into the room and attempted to steal the horde’s attention away from the red dome. His taunt worked as intended and he managed to thin the herd a bit, opening a narrow path for the rest of their party. When he launched his holy spell at the horde of monsters, which manifested in the shape of a hammer made of light. The way it crashed down on the undead and flat out killed three out of the… 20, 23… no, 25 skeletons and zombies, now that people got close enough to work out the exact number. With his continuous effort to taunt the zombies, a group of 7 began running toward him and mobbing him down with their body and teeth, scratching, biting, kicking, and punching against his armor and shield. Had he been without equipment, Aaron would have suffered a lot more. At the same time, Ornson’s buff had allowed him to deal damage back to the group that was attacking him. During this time, the entire party could see magical green barbs around Aaron reflecting damage back onto his aggressor. Regardless, he still took a lot of beating.

Finally, Jack had finished his preparation and cast dispel on the red dome, effectively nullifying it for Dempsey, who had been rather sneaky in weaving around the horde of undead all this while, waiting for that exact moment to strike the witch. Up close, she was able to see the sight inside the dome. There were four women, one of which was the battered body of Merkaba, a body that had displayed its forelegs some time ago and a nasty dry gash on her throat. The other woman, or supposed woman seemed to have disappeared, nothing but clothes and a few gory details had been left behind. And then there was Vinka, a sickeningly thin woman with hardly any flesh to her and seemingly hollow blue eyes accompanied by raven black hair with be seen, her mouth ajar in surprise as her eyes widened at the sudden turn of event.

Before she could mutter an incantation, Dempsey lashed at her and suppressed her with a chokehold before the witch could get out of range. As a result, Nalani got her attack off first, which struck the woman right in the chest, sending her back tumbling back, taking Dempsey with her and repositioned them a few feet away before Lucia’s arrow struck Dempsey in her lower back, forcing her to let go of the witch and thrown into the rough floor. A scream could be heard echoing in the dark hall as Vinka staggered backward in pain.

In that moment, however, she quickly reached down to grab a familiar red crystal on the floor and bee-lined toward the legless semi-intact corpse of her fallen comrade and rammed it into the woman’s stomach. “YOU HEATHENS WILL PAY FOR THIS!!! Zuk akar vanarg arlavq…” she screamed.

The crystals lit up as a renewed red dome surrounded her. The dome was misshaped, a result of magic that wasn’t as plentiful as earlier. Before she closed herself in her barrier, leaving Dempsey and Merkaba outside, though in pain, Dempsey caught the sight of her health bar dipping below 35% had appeared next to the health bar. In this barrier, she recited once more and launched several more spikes of blood against the damaged spots in the wall, furthering its eventual demise. She did, however, kill 6 of the skeletons who stood in the way. At that time, the inside of the dome was bright, with radiance coming from the crystal itself, loud suctioning noise could be heard from within.

Meanwhile, the sound of Amalia’s sweet song began to occupy the empty space as she started bowing her trusty pink violin. While it was not exactly something anyone would pay to listen to, it did provide a party-wide buff for all of those within earshot. At this time, the entire party could see a blinking status that reads: “Protection from Evil,” a direct result of Amalia’s song.

As the song picked up its tempo, the familiar smoke began to come out once more. However, anyone within the room could see that there was a pattern to the black energy, it resembled the shape of an asterisk with the head pointing out the entrance into the room. There were spots it could not reach. The moment the smoke pulled everyone in, everyone in the room was knocked off their feet, but were not pulled into the statue like Merkaba was earlier, Alphabet was completely unaffected. She did, however, notice the familiar purple flash that happened right after the smoke. This sight was only possible due to the light originating from the inside of the dome, which she had the Vinka to thank for. From where she was sitting, she could see the crystal inside the statue’s head. Rather than the familiar red, the crystal had the color of obsidian.

After the flash of purple, the army of hell began wailing and started attacking Merkaba and Dempsey in the same way they did to Aaron earlier. At that time, Alphabet had returned to her girl form and fell from the statue, she gracefully landed, but was soon mobbed by the rest of the horde.

While everyone was on the ground and eating attacks after attacks, two of the zombies in police uniform brandished what appeared to be modern day pistols and began firing bullets at Aaron. The gunshots felt just like in real life, though thankfully, not nearly as lethal.

    OOC:
    • @Aaron Marone has taken 60% damage. Aaron is at 40% HP and 50% E.
    • @Alphabet Chocolate has taken 50% damage.

  12. There was only a single word to describe Jack’s current thoughts after watching the plan unfold. “Fuck.” Though there was some poor coordination on everyone’s behalf, a large part of the blame also lie with him due to not foreseeing these complications. In all honesty, he hadn’t even expected Alphabet to turn into a cat, let alone not be able to revert back when needed.

His nerves tensing slightly, he’d call out some brief instructions while continuing to survey the situation. “Looks like the smoke has gaps! Stick to them! Keep that buff rolling just in case! Nobody said this thing only has one attack pattern!” The man’s brain continued to work furiously while thinking about the next appropriate course of action. After processing all the information and gleaning what little he could, he’d nod once while trying to set things in motion via the comms provided by the game.

“Lucia! Merkaba! I need you two to work on that barrier. Rot away the blood and hex her or something! Anything to hinder her casting! Aaron! Thin their numbers, it’s more efficient vs healing! Everyone inside! Regroup on east of the dome!! I’m dropping a Sanctuary there!! Mob the witch – screw the undead!”

Without the delay or pause for confirmation, the dark haired man quickly initiated a modified chant to empower his spell. "Tangus jalaran akula khetsaram, damen sinur idish!" Directly east of the blood dome, a shimmering, translucent, semi-spherical barrier would form over an area, shielding refugees from harm. Upon closer inspection, the ground appeared to be sanctified as well, creating a threshold the undead would find themselves unable to cross. After completing the spell cast, he’d quickly reach into his pouch and chug an energy potion.

Things had begun to get rather chaotic. Rather than focusing purely on offense, it was best that the man help stabilize the situation before pressing forward more aggressively.

    OOC:
Jack casts Sanctuary (Area barrier + Sanctify)
    -1 Energy Potion

  13. Aaron cursed, crying out in pain as the one thing he was certain would never happen in this world started happening. He was getting shot, with guns. By zombies. What the hell kind of drugs were the people who made this game on? Jack was shouting something at him. Fuck Jack. Jack wasn't getting shot at by zombies using fucking guns. Aaron began to chant, pushing throw the pain. Before long, another hammer of light was flying toward the two zombies with guns, and would explode in a ball of light just like the previous one. With that, Aaron would push himself up. Jack seemed to be casting some kind of spell himself.

As Aaron ran toward where Jack was casting the sanctuary spell, he opened his menu to ingest a health potion. He wasn't sure how much good it would do him, but his health was below half, he had to do something! He cursed as he swallowed down the bitter liquid, tossing the empty bottle to his side. If he was lucky, it'd hit one of the damn zombies and maybe even do a point of damage.

Once he was inside the sancutary, Aaron panted for breath. He checked to be sure he wasn't bleeding from any of his wounds. "Weird ass thing about this world," Aaron said. "You can apparently get shot with fucking guns, but because they don't have the right status effect, you don't fucking bleed." He shook his head. "So, how's everyone enjoying the game?" He asked, a hint of bitterness in his voice.

OOC: Smite at gun zombies and health potion.

Merkaba was in a strange place. a bloody barrier was all around her. More ridiculous sounds of meager fools battling about against undead. Undead that she rightfully had gained control of. Only for it to be stolen from her by some other magic. This was not acceptable. Her body was injured greatly and her mana was being sapped from her. This was a blunder to pair with these fools. They all could die for all she cared. The search for knowledge... that was what this was about for her. Near her was another woman and a corpse. The woman... was she one of the hemomancers? The blood field.... of course.

Some more things would occur. It was rather hazy. The blood witch was now further from her and still within a barrier. So these zombies did not belong to them either. If they had to hide behind fields, they were not as great as the rumors said. Standing up with her body wrecked and anger peaking. Her stoic nature shifting to a much more dangerous one. Elizabeth would have to focus on what she wanted here. Period. She was not someone to easily lose control of a situation nor herself.

Jack shouted demands at her, once again trying to play leader. She held her head with one hand and stood leaning on her scythe with the other. This had gone on long enough. The witches were not worth keeping alive right now. She would demonstrate how superior she was to them and be done with it. As for the zombies...

She released her head. Lifting her head up with a look of someone maintaining there sanity on the edge. She generated her Energy Potion and drank from it. As it vanished back into her item bag. Her scythe would vanish as well, the hand that was holding it now gesturing towards Vinka.

    "Scelesta. Tace!"

A dark fog would envelope the blood witch and seal her magic use. The dark witch then turned and saw a barrier of light close by formed by non other than the leader of the pests, Jack. She would make her way towards the barrier of light, not for the light itself, oh no.... certainly not. Only to use it's presence for the moment for her own ends.

    OOC:
    • Consumed Energy Potion.

  15. One moment everything was going almost according to plan, until abruptly it wasn't any more. Though she had been successful at maintaining her ruse at first, and had even managed to capture the witch in a submission hold after the barrier had been dispelled. Then everything went wrong. Some things happened, and now she found herself flung far from her objective, surrounded and set upon by the un-dead, and as if to add insult to injury, the first and so far only arrow to be fired today somehow wound up buried in her thigh. And it was poisoned.

To Jacks credit, he was quick to attempt to salvage the potential disaster and erected a barrier with illumancy in an area that was as safe as it gets in this particular room, however this would put the bleeding woman dangerously close to a practitioner of blood magic, but it was her only real chance at making it out of this alive. The safety afforded by the lobby was all but out of reach, and put her at risk for another attack from the statues dark smoke. She decided to risk it and head for the circle of protection

If one were to describe her situation as only being less than ideal at the moment, she would stab them with an arrow, and she just happened to have one handy though it was currently lodged in her leg. Realizing that she would be unable to run fast enough to evade her attackers, and far too injured to stand and fight, she flipped up onto her good leg, then dropped and rolled past her assailants. Clear of the most immediate danger, she rose from her crouch into a hand stand and utilized her considerable upper body strength and dexterity to hand-walk the rest of the way to safety.

Once there, she collapsed into a heap and began frantically administering first aid, beginning by bandaging her injury, hoping to staunch the flow of blood before the desperate hemomancer nearby got any ideas, then downing a healing potion in the hopes that it's restorative effect would at least mitigate the worst of the effects from the poison until someone could spare a moment to send some healing magic her way.

    OOC: HP Potion, Bandage.
