Seto was still shocked to find Daisuke drained when he came back, he didn't think he would have been this fatigued from the battle, he wondered how bad it was where he was during the battle, was it as bad as it was here? This time it was Seto's time to lead after his partner suggested it, he didn't mind since he had been following Daisuke since they met. Before they left the camp, Seto stood at the camp's gate again as his partner did some last minute scavaging around the camp, Seto had thought about it but considering the camp's condition, he didn't really see a point. He watched Daisuke from a distance as he said a few last words to the guards who fought and died before. To Seto it was just pointless to bury the dead, they should have just burned their bodies, how is a large grave with multiple corpses a good thing? not to mention maggots would get to them and have their way with them. Eventually, Daisuke returned and the two went on their way through the forest with Daisuke grabbing his arms at times to point any enemies or landmarks of value which helped the two greatly in getting to the area where the cave was without much interruption. Of course, after getting there though, it was pretty clear his partner didn't how to read maps when he looked more puzzled than he did. Seto knew how to read maps but the map the two were using was....lacking vital details needed to get somewhere, he could the map was old as it starting to lose it color and the map itself had the general landmarks and towns but nothing small beside a few rivers nearby. He had tried his best but he wasn't much better at reading this map then his partner was. Seto and Daisuke had to work together on this one and after an hour of walking through circles and walking into some lovely tree's they eventually found their way to what seemed like the cave they were looking for.
Taking point, Daisuke once again led Seto towards the cave until the two noticed a large beast...a Bear. Well this just made things hell of a lot more interesting although he didn't think Daisuke took it that way after cussing about it. "Looks like another challenge to me, rather deal with that thing than twenty or thirty bandits."
Seto said to his partner as he shot the dam thing with a bolt of lighting which really made it angry, well so much for slicing its neck or impaling his sword into its head Seto thought to himself. With it now being fun time, watching Daisuke as he rushed at the beast towards the water, reforming the water into ice he watched and laughed as the bear fell on it's behind as it slid across the ice before falling into the portion that wasn't frozen, it was like watching a cartoon back in the real world. Despite the beast flying into the water, it somehow managed to not only recover but climb onto the ice and charge at Daisuke again only for it to run into an ice pillar, breaking it then slamming into the mage, Now was the time to move, it was his turn to jump in since his partner just took a hit. Drawing his Odachi he charged in like a wild man to distract the bear from him. Hearing his team mate lost ten percent of health wasn't good, Seto would need to go on the defensive this time, he was still recovering from earlier as well so he couldn't push himself to his limit but he still knew he could dish out some damage on the beast. When his team mate got up, He stood in front of him, giving the beast the eyes to dare him to attack, to see who would the last one standing, probably wasn't a good idea when the beast charged their position. Charging the beast, he rolled the beast when he got too close for comfort, landing onto the ice. Upon turning around, the beast had followed him and fell on his behind again, smashing the two into the cold waters. It took a few minutes for Seto to get back to the edge of the bank, only to notice the beast left parting gift before falling in. His left arm had been slashed by the beast's claw and it was bleeding enough to be a concern. It was painful, Seto thought that he had overcome pain long ago. After extensive traveling and entering constant battle, he thought he would have become so used to the feeling of pain that his body is broken and bleeding that it would hardly even bother him when injured yet here we were. He had thought physical pain for the most in the mind, so trivial compared to the mental torture the Darkness would pull within his own soul as his vile counterpart constantly tried to free itself. No, he knew he was stronger than this, he wouldn't let the pain get to him, he wouldn't! he can't! yet it seemed he was wrong, very wrong it indeed as he felt his arm vibrated in pain as blood began dripping down his arm as if it was raining. It was real agony, he could feel the pain of his arm, he could feel the skin crack from the pain and each step he would take towards his partner felt like hell and this was just a deep flesh wound. With his eyes starting to become blurry from the loss of blood, he forced to keep walking until he heard the beast coming to shore.
Hearing the beast stomp through the water to the shore, for right this moment he couldn't do anything but prepare and brace himself for the coming attack. Closing his eyes, Seto calmed himself and steadied his breathing control, focusing everything he had on his ears to be his eyes, he readied his Odachi high in the air and waited..and waited until the beast made a run for him. Waiting for the perfect timing, he brought down a powerful vertical strike right on its head, slamming the blade right on time of the forehead, forcing a critical hit which stopped it dead in its track paralyzed for a few moments, enough to do some damage.
