Visiting Dunnstad's farms

  1. Isolt had logged in today and her curious nature had brought her to the eastern part of Falderen. She had managed to find herself all the way into the lands of Dunnstads. The first city she had reached she had smelled such a delicious array of sea food that she had to figured out a way to get the recipe for whatever it was that they were making or something like that. After all the girl wanted to be able to make more stuff for the friends that she had around her. Okay there was one friend she had on her friend's list at the moment and she'd partied with him now totally once. That had been really fun. Also how exactly has she managed to get here without dying again? She shrugged that off and figured she had mostly just taken a few routes and escaped a few things by running like her life depended on it which at the time it had depended on it. But now she was roaming the city and wanting to find where the wonderful smell was coming from.

Finally she reached the small cafe and she was more than happy to sit there and wait for one of the servers to come by. She had a nice long conversation with them and then she headed down towards the docks. Mostly because where did one find fish but where the water was. she was going to have to do some more studying to figure out where she was going to find the fresh supplies for food. She was about to reach the water when she accidentally ran into someone and mewed softly as she jumped back and fell on her butt. She got up quickly and brushed herself off. "Sorry about that." She said to the person she had run into.

  2. Sera wasn't completely sure why she had decided to make her way to Dunnstads. It was certainly, by far, one of her least favorite places in the game. Yet that was not to say she disliked it. It had an air of familiarity to it, and some good things had happened here.

She had a theory - or maybe she had even heard someone else mentioned it, she couldn't remember where the thought had originally come from - that each area in this game corresponded with a matching placing in the real world. If her theory held, there was a chance that Dunnstads was the correlating area to the state she had grown up in. This city, even, might correlate with the place she had spent most her childhood summers. While she hated the place in the real world due to it's boring, slowl, nothing-to-do nature, here the place had an air of adventure that, when mixed with the faint sense of familiarity, led to, ironically, a perfect place to relax.

As Sera was making her way through the crowd, suddenly she felt something push into her. Sera stumbled a bit, but remained standing. She turned to see a girl, even shorter than she was, who had fallen upon the ground. Sera laughed kindly, and offered the girl a hand up. "In a hurry?" She asked with a smile. "You might want to be careful, lots of ways to get hurt if you're not watching where you're going in a crowd. My name's Sera, Sera Phim. What's yours?"

  3. Isolt looked up at the laughing. It was not something she had ever heard come out of someone she had accidentally run into. As a matter of fact she usually got yelled at or she was the one getting stepped and trampled on. The curse of being short not that she was all that much taller in game. Her cat ears twitched a little as she made herself a little more presentable which meant got the dirt off of herself. She also too the hand up. "Uh thank you." She had that bad cat or dog tail between legs look. [/b]"I'm Isolt, Isolt Veera. Its nice to meet you Sera. I'm not really used to people laughing and helping me back up. Usually they forget i'm there."[/b] She shrugged it off. She always got more hurt then the person she ran into.

"i just wanted to get down to the water. I kinda wanted to see if anyone was down there fishing. And then i was gonna check out some of the farms later too." She knew that sounded odd that it really sounded odd. "I cook so i wanted to find some really fresh ingredients and see what i could do to get the recipes for some of the stuff I saw in one of the cafe's back that way." She pointed to where she had come from. She looked at Sera for a moment though. "You seem to have been her far longer then I have. other tips on not getting trampled here in a crowd." She giggled a little bit after asking. She seemed a little overly excited still but she was starting to calm down now that she wasn't afraid of being yelled at. She hoped she made sense sometimes when she was flustered she didn't. Her tail twitched behind her a little bit as she waited for the answers.

  4. "It's nice to meet you as well, Isolt," Sera said. She turned to look in the direction the girl was heading. "There's usually a few people fishing down there, yeah," she said. "Some of them are nice, some of them crude, it's a grab bag. I don't really fish much myself, but I grew up near some farms, helped out every now and then."

She chuckled when the girl asked for tips on moving through a crowd. "Remember that everyone is like you. Everyone's just trying to get to wherever they are going. They don't mean to run into anyone, but sometimes their goal blinds them to the path. But, human beings are, by nature, social animals. They usually like to stick in groups, but not too large of ones. Every now and then in a crowd, you'll see gaps where you can push through groups of people. That's when you want to move," she said with a smile. "Being smaller means you can fit through those gaps a bit easier, but also means people will be watching for you even less, so you've gotta be quick on your feet and keeping an eye open all around you."

Sera paused for a moment. "If you'd like, I could show you where the fishing spots are, and even where to rent a net or a rod, if you'd like," she offered.

  5. Isolt listened carefully to Sera's words her tail twitching a little bit as she did so. She tilted her head and then she straightened it as she was thinking. She liked it much better when people were kind then when people were mean. She was glad to know that the fishermen were a grab bag of nice and crude as Sera had put it. She gave her a nod to all that she had said about crowds and about being short and all that.

"i'm usually so much better. when it comes to paying attention but I guess I'm just a little overly excited." She did something akin to a giggle and a purr all at once. After all she was part cat in this game. Her eyes lit up when Sera said she could show her where the fishing spots were and where she could get a net and a rod. "Please, could you?" She looked again excited her ears twitching in delight and her looking like she was ready to pounce again. She took a deep breath and composed herself. "I'd really appreciate it."
