    The Hunt for Mystery Eggs

For the last week or so, posters have been popping up all over Brisshal, telling adventurers to meet at a certain location on a certain day. As curiousity grew, you decided to head over, and when you arrived were met with a peculiar sight.

Kit, the well known mini pet breeder, was wearing a weird costume and directing adventurers who arrived before you with some kind of task. As you approached, she whipped towards you, looking at you seriously as she laid out a hand, "You there, adventurer! Are you ready for the most epic hunt of your life?" She seemed to be acting as some kind of super figure, but it was obvious who it was. Usami, her rabbit, was posing beside her, squeaking and pointing to follow her owner.

"I have hidden mystery eggs around this exact location. Whoever finds the most, wins! Are you ready?" She shouted, switching her hands as Usami followed, and then she pointed away from her towards the general area where other adventurers were searching, "Set, go!"

    ~ Rules ~
Kit has hidden multiple mystery eggs around the front of her house. The mission is to search around each area and find mystery eggs. Each location will have a certain amount of mystery eggs, ranging from 1-5, and when all the locations are searched, Kit will count each persons total. The person with the most mystery eggs wins!~

Each post needs to have minimum 200 words describing how you search the area you've chosen. Below is a picture with all the numbers, please do not search a number someone has already looked into. Kit will post every 4 posts with how many eggs have been obtained and updated the chart with which numbers have been searched already. You may post once every hour.
    Good luck, and happy hunting!

No, you do not get to keep the mystery eggs, and you can only post on your main.

  2. “Oh god…” The dark haired man stared with a bit of hesitancy as he found himself scrambling for eggs yet again. This time however, it seemed that he wouldn’t have to con a rabbit into leaping to safety. His confidence still shaken from the previous attempt, he’d listen carefully to the rules before diving headfirst into the nearby brush (3).

Careful to not break anything on his entrance, he’d part the bushes slowly while combing through the plant life while on all fours. His eyes continued to sweep back and forth with a dull monotony as he’d continue searching for the eggs in question. The real query on his mind however was why this girl was willing to place eggs in such a dangerous position. As much as she cared and touted about protecting and raising pets, why would she place them in hidden areas where someone meandering could potentially trip on them (thus crushing the egg)?

He’d shake his head and quickly banish the thought however as his hands continued sifting through the brush. Pausing once after nicking his finger, he’d let out a soft curse while pressing onwards. Considering the nature of her request, it seemed like a race against time. Would Jack’s hellish persistence pay off similarly to how it had done so in the grass patches with the gnolls?

  3. Gwyn traveled far, wide, and fast. Her boots carried her wherever the hunt did, where quests called and where escort missions didn't exist because she was no masochist. When she'd seen the posters she'd made her note of it and moved on, waiting to head toward Brisshal until she'd gained a few quests she could do while in the area once more.

The day and the time came and Gwyn was quick to recognize the familiar path to the house of the NPC Kit. She'd grinned and kicked up into a jog with the pet she'd gotten last trip here half hidden under the fold of her collar. The terrified bunny trembled, but occasionally whispered out a soft noise when she glanced down at it to ensure it was safe and secure. Reaching the house, Kit gave her directions and the ranger grinned widely, all teeth and excitement.

Gwyn passed the groups of people now searching about her house and headed toward the stand of trees to the side. "Hold it steady for me," she said as she put down the small mini pet by the roots with a faint chuckle and started searching about. Catching sight of something she hauled herself up the tree and into the cradle of the branches, though she took great pains to move slow enough to not rustle the tree. What kind of monster would go knocking them out after all? No, she'd take care and pick over the spots with the sharp eagle eyes of a huntress.

  4. Alpha hopped up and down, practically squealing with her arms at her chest as Terry looked at her worriedly. Luna and Corn had already set off on their hunt while Fish and Juno did what they did best: nothing. She had come here after being swayed by the numerous posters that littered the walls of Brisshal, vandalizing the clean and tidy architecture with a variety of shoddily drawn and colored pictures depicting some sort of advertisement at this specific location at this specific time. When she had arrived, she found that she was greeted by the elusive yet familiar sight of Kit. She grinned, her smile growing wider as she hung on Kit's every word. Finally, when the breeder at uttered the last syllable of Go! her little companions and her jumped for joy and immediately began to search the bushes around.

"Almost there, almost got it, almost-almost-almost!" she cheered and chanted constantly under her breath, pumping herself up at every opportunity. Sooner or later, she'd find an egg and that meant another companion to add to her party! She grinned at the thought of her kitten, Skits, and wondered if she'd get another cat like her. Blood rushed through her veins at the thought and, spinning to address all her pets that were helping her find the eggs, opened her arms with great flourish. "We're gonna find all of the eggs!" she spoke enthusiastically, confidence exuding from her body as she said it as a statement and fact. Her energy seemed to infect the others as well and they scurried, searching even harder. Alpha, meanwhile, tried to check every rock she could get her hands on nearby the bushes she kept close to. This was so fun!

  5. Why was Rein even here? He questioned the decision heavily as he lazily walked down the dirt trail heading to the cabin. He had been passed a note that had advised him of this place, and that they had a variety of eggs in some sort of scavenger hunt. Rein wasn't particularly hungry this day, so his motivation to hunt was rather low, but being a merciless psychopath could be boring at times, and honestly, it was good to take a break. What better than watching a bunch of player characters runs around looking for food?

Walking past Kit and her introductions Rein simply assumed he understood the game and began to climb the house (6) as any other normal person would do during an egg hunt. Standing on top of the roof he would begin to pull shingle after shingle off the roof, tossing them to the ground cackling with laughter as he did so. After all, that girl was likely extremely tricky, and he didn't put it past her hiding eggs in the hot sun. Eggs did need warmth right? So, he searched literally every nook and cranny of the roof, both inside and out. Once he had found whatever it was he could; he would sit on top of the roof, feet dangling over the side as he watched the others run and squirm, pretending they were ants beneath his feet.

  7. It wasn’t long before the awkwardness of Jack’s home invasion had finally crept into his consciousness and began raising objections much more loudly. Gnawed away by the guilt, he’d let out a sigh while taking a last look about the house, only to slowly meander back to the outdoors. As much as Jack didn’t enjoy the wilderness due to various factors such as humidity, heat, and insects (primarily the latter reason), he’d have to suck up his insecurities and venture back to nature.

“If I was an egg… where would I want to be?” Sweeping the horizon, he’d shake his head wearily. Considering how much of the outdoors fell into the realm of “fair play” for the search area, one could only dig in deep and simply take a guess. Should luck be on his side, he’d simply have to quietly send a prayer to whatever game systems ruled over the current event. “Hmm… how about there?” His eyes caught on a peculiar bit of foliage (1), he’d wander over while putting on a pair of gloves he had obtained from adventuring. With careful and deliberate movements, he’d slowly comb through the plant life while squinting to get a better view of what secrets lie within. It’d be a shame after all if Kit’s gardening skills had all gone to waste due to a carelessly selfish treasure seeker…

  8. Gwyn grinned widely as she delicately collected her found eggs. The five were gently pulled from the crowning leaves, abandoned bird nests, and the crooks over branches. One even hid in a hollow in the tree. She peered down at the bunny shuffling about below and whistled. It was shaking and peering nervously about the grasses around it as she slid down smoothly. Not even a scuffed palm to speak of!

The human offered her cupped palms to her pet and the small thing hopped on. She tucked him back under the collar of her coat and moved to the next grove of trees. They were shorter, but far more vivid in color. Luckily the leaves were small, doing little to hide anything, and Gwyn was rather tall. Being that she was over six foot it was easy to pull branches this way and that to get a closer look. She stopped before taking a step to scan the bases of the trees and the thick fronds of ferns that might hide more below. A particular bush proved a nuisance as the small thorns didn't do enough to hurt, but were determined to pull at her clothes and hair. She retied it higher into a bun rather than her long ponytail and dug through the easily bent vines crawling their way from the bush and up into the trees she'd already looked over.

  9. "Woo!" Alpha cheered as Terry dropped two eggs at her feet. She rewarded the dingo with a belly rub and a pat on the head while the others looked on with envy. She shrugged. That'd give them all motivation to rack up some more points! Without further ado, she skipped off to her next searching space: a double-branched tree that protruded proudly from the ground. She immediately looked through the hole, attempting to see if there was anything nestled between the empty air between. She groaned as she found none and, with a quiet 'shoo', her companions got back to work. Her eyes shined. She was definitely in the lead with the two eggs that Terry had found and, since she was winning, she supposed it would be nice to give the rest a fighting chance. While her little pets went off to search for more eggs, she laid down and shut her eyes, hoping to get a decent nap. She stretched and wiggled her toes. The draft today was awfully soft and smooth against her skin. She slowly lolled to sleep, drool running down her chin.

Meanwhile, with her animals still searching the general area, Luna (the frankly adorable rabbit) began to snarl at Corn who, in his paws, had found a tiny egg. Terry rolled his eyes as the dingo, yet again, had scooped the egg up without a word, ready to take credit from his companions. He really liked belly scratches, after all, and it was definitely worth those glares that the others sent his way. Man, he loved his life as the alpha dog (pun intended).

Hurrying in the direction that the costumed girl had pointed out, Amane wondered if this was one of those sought-after events where a mystery egg could at last be obtained. Though she'd swore to herself previously that unless a particularly adorable one crossed her path, she wouldn't be spending any gold over a mini-pet, useless in combat as they were, but a potential chance to win one for free? Even if she was loath to admit it, seeing everyone carry around one of those creatures was making her slightly envious. Though she didn't regret her choice to forgo the mystery egg as her starter item, Amane wasn't about to let an opportunity like this just slip by.

She wasn't the first player there by far, and a good portion of the house and front lawn seemed to have already been searched. Turning away from the usual locations such as the bushes and trees, she directed her attention towards the house itself, peering at high and hard to reach niches in hopes that any eggs concealed there would be undisturbed. Unfortunately, most of those locations were out of reached unless one resigned themselves to climbing, and Amane wasn't about to do so if she could help it.

Tiptoeing from beneath a window, Amane stilled her mind, reaching back into the deep recesses where she thought she felt the buzzing hum of voices occur. Immediately, the cacophony soared in magnitude, and if she focused, she could even pinpoint individual voices, though who they belonged to remained a mystery. I'll need Aeromancy, if you pleased, she requested, feeding them a string of energy in payment. As she did so, wind gathered within her palms, swirling gently, aimlessly. Lift it down, would you? she asked, gesturing towards several items stashed at the edge of the windowsill. Thank you~ And, painstakingly carefully, the hidden items dropped into her hands.

  11. As Jack battled tirelessly against the endless waves of exhaustion, he’d continue eying about in order to find any other objects of curiosity. One creature of note caught his attention due to it willfully lying about with a lazy demeanor as adventurers continued to scurry about with reckless abandon. For one reason or another, the kitten had luckily persisted without getting stepped on. “Hmm… it looks fuzzy.”

The dark haired man nodded once while inspecting the cat. His hand petted it gently. “What’s your name little feller?” He’d laugh while continuing to stroke the docile creature’s back. Considering the nature of it’s owner, Jack wasn’t too afraid of it turning on him due to having a wicked personality. His hand drifted up and down the creature, pausing momentarily to scratch it’s head before a strange idea popped into his mind.

    “What if…”
Not entirely sure whether his suspicions were spot on, he began to move to confirm them. After all, it was the only proper way to find out, right? Carefully grabbing the kitten with both gloved hands, he’d attempt to shift the creature over in order to inspect its underbelly and the immediate location it had covered. “Anything good?” He’d lean in curiously to check (4).

  12. Gwyn snatched up her prizes and moved on with dogged determination. She plucked a few thorns out of the fabric of clothes and from between where her various leather armor pieces crossed in a way that let the pesky vegetation poke in and get suitably stuck. She laughed when, with her arms full of eggs, her rabbit lifted up carefully on its back legs to pull a ridiculously large leaf from her hair. He seemed pleased with his prize and she nuzzled her cheek against her little helper in thanks.

Seeing someone else was shifting through the shorter grasses near where she stumbled from the underbrush, she took a look around. Quite a few had shown up and were rather determined to have catch em all. The archer trotted across the worn dirt path to her side and peered up into the next high canopy. Gwyn cracked her knuckles and went to put back down her mini pet, but he nuzzled in closer. She figured he'd be less scared of heights than being alone and took care to climb up and begin yet another search above the crowd. Years of scaling cliffs made climbing trees a different, but still familiar, task. She set about picking through the limbs. The rabbit of course decided to help best by trying to nibble on any leaves that got closed enough to grab. She appreciated the moral support, even if him pulling away leaves to eat might have been an attempt to reveal more hiding spots. Probably just snacking though.

  14. Alpha laid down lazily, enjoying the fresh air while her pets squabbled over their treasure. The eggs rolled round and round whilst she took deep breaths, attempting her own try at meditation as the day passed by around her. Although the egg hunt had been fun so far (moreso than the prism shard hunt from earlier considering that she actually got something out of her efforts), she hadn't been particularly enthused by the entire event after the results of her last entry into such a competitive game. It was something that would only have one winner and, with so many other people participating, she had little hopes that she would be the successful party out of all of them. While she had the help of her friends, it didn't work out for her last time despite extra assistance. Not to mention that two familiar figures were already in the lead with a basket of eggs.

"Hurry up!" she whined as her party scattered, sniffing and observing the forest floor with a keen eye. After much searching, they had decided to go back to the bushes to find potential loot and, to their chagrin, there was little success. She could only hope she would get enough eggs to bolster her forward up the leaderboard.

  15. Considering how his attempts were in vain, Jack could only shake his head wearily while moving on to the next search location. Having harvested what few eggs he could (if any), he’d stand to survey his surroundings in order to pick next seemingly most bountiful area. He’d let out a hapless sigh however upon inspecting things more closely. To be honest? It all looked relatively the same to Jack.

As such, he’d simply decide. Feet now shuffling over towards the house, he’d creak open the door while inspecting it curiously. Perhaps it seemed a bit rude to simply enter another’s domain without permission… but the game’s interface had indicated that this too was a potential search area. Shaking his head with caution he’d continue deeper inside while inspecting one of the rooms off to the side (8).

“Hope she doesn’t mind me snooping around in this room…” He’d let out an awkward laugh while continuing to mosey about in an overly curious fashion. Though some other bystanders might have a reason or two to gripe about Jack’s approach, he could at least claim an attempt at being as minimally invasive as possible. Avoiding most of the closed doors and drawers, he’d search under various bits of furniture and what not. The last thing he wanted to be accused of was panty theft.
