  1. The man nods, following the elf further into the woods. "Yeah, I think there's something in the starter pack, isn't there?" He rummages about for a moment, before pulling out what looks like a small hammer. "Hrm. Think this would do? Might be better to just punch the damn things...." A grimace slowly settles in on his face. I probably should have bought a damn pickaxe back at the stalls, he chides himself mentally. Should've known, considering what materials you need. Stupid...."

His inner reprieve in interrupted, however, by the sudden appearance of the boar, who charges wildly towards Mahlthor. In response, the large man cocks an arm back, muscles tensing, before driving a heavy blow down on the wild boar. An arrow sails passed him again, just over his shoulder, and he whips around to Morohtar. "Dude... careful!"

Turning back to the boar, who is now peppered in a few arrows, he reigns back in both hands. Raising them high over his head, he brings them down with violent force in a hammer fist to the top of the boars skull, just as it attempts to gore him with a tusk. A final arrow from the elf puts the boar out of it's misery.

"Shit... nice shooting there. Though you nearly hit me on that one shot...." he grumbles, despite the wide grin plastered on his face. After a little longer, they come to two nodes nearby each other. "Sure, I'll work on this one, then." He says with a grin, and starts to work. "In as far as backstory goes, I dunno. Hadn't thought that far yet with my character. Or, whatever, however you wanna say that in character. Maybe he was from some village, and discovered his magical abilities somehow or something?" He gives the elf an empty shrug.

At first, his attempts are with the tiny hammer, but in short order it becomes apparent that he is getting nowhere, and fast, with the tiny tool. Popping open his menu, and flicking to the "spells" tab, he starts to flick through the options. "Hrm. This one looks like it might help..." he muses, pressing the button to start the auto-cast sequence. Suddenly, control is ripped from him, his arms and hands flapping wildly in the air as they draw arcane runes and his words not his own as esoteric syllables escape his mouth. As the spell completes, his muscles feel heavier, stronger, more powerful. Electrical arcs dance down it's length.

"Alright, now we're talking!" he exclaims as he slams the fist into the rock before him.

  2. He continued to look into the starting As Alia spoke of where she lived in New York and giggled at his response about joking to become a driver after being taught. He, of course, was mostly kidding about it but since he owned his own driving school, he has at times when he thought it was appropriate, would instruct at his own school to those who showed true potential or raw determination to drive? Who said he was the decide if one wanted to drive like he did? Sure he didn't teach most on the track but if someone wanted to be instructed directly by him, they would need to earn it through hard work and it take seriously, to most people, driving a car was something simple but those trained knew well that it's an art all on its own. Ryosuke was no different but despite being an undefeated legend around Mount. Fuji and a moderately successful circuit driver, he had reached his potential and could only keep up what he had, eventually he knew he would have to pass what he knew to a driver that deserved to be the third generation of "The Black Wolf of Mount Fuji" with his father being the first and Ryosuke being the second, of course, he didn't see Alia as that person no offense towards her, still though despite everything that had happened in his life, he enjoyed his now quiet life.

"I guess Long Island or New York City, in general, isn't a great idea sure but by the time am done with you, you never look at cars the same way and men will be either intimidated by a female that can drive better and faster than they can or they will be impressed, it's common as hell over here for the first one.

Seto stared back at Alia as she explained she could instruct him in Kendo which put a smile on his face since for one reason or another, he never took time out of his life to take classes, he supposed he had forgotten about the whole thing until Alia mentioned her interest since he hadn't done anything with Kendo since he was around her age.

"I would like that, for once I'd be given a valid reason to use my Noma Dojo which is currently only used by the Shinto Priestesses for archery on the occasion from the Shinto Shrine next door. I haven't read up on Kendo in a few years, I was going to get on it but life happened and I forgot of course. As for sword play here in the game, It should the same as if you were wielding a Katana or Odachi in real life, Being in the beta of this thing awhile, it was probably similar to Sword Art Online, just less refined, am sure it better now though."

He was sure the two were on the same boat, wanting a katana as a weapon although from past experience and reading the forums, the Katana and especially the Odachi were surprisingly uncommon weapons in general with even Common grade Katana's being difficult at times to buy, let alone craft and Odachi's were even worse from what he read, being considerably harder to produce due to the length of the blade being harder to heat. Although smithing wasn't on his list on improving right away, he was determined once he and Alia got out of this area, he would damm determined to find his weapon of choice even if it meant getting into a bunch of mess.Turning his head towards the path he noticed two players walking past, down the path, apparently completely not knowing they were there beyond the bush and trees next to the stream although he wondered how they make it to the outpost this late in the dark without torches, he had thought of offering them to stay with them but by the time he could make up his mind, they were already long gone into the darkness. Still laying down next to Alia, he scanned the path for players while he listened to Alia talk about Japan. After he scanned a few times with no one else coming, he turned around towards the fire before speaking again.

"You my friend are smart, I wish I had that mentally of thought when I was eighteen, of course, my hard work paid off and now I can kick back and continue my quiet life although...I will admit it does get lonely at times even with the students around addressing me as Sensei all the time. You may be American but I can tell you have the soul of a Japanese woman, probably an Onna-bugeisha from some past life. As long as you don't come with your family or be a tourist to Japan, most of us, Japanese people won't see you as a tourist or outsider although acceptance always takes time no matter where you go but I know you fit well here, especially the schools with Kendo being a primary school sport although you probably wouldn't like that you have to go to schools on Saturday's and half of Sunday's for school sports. It's a good thing you experienced life from different parts of the world, now you have it beyond you and you can focus on the quiet life that you want."

After he was finished speaking, Alia took a few moments to herself as she thought about something before she asked him a question of some importance which initially threw him off but wasn't really surprising, it was only natural to ask, most did that actually knew him and by this point Alia knew him as well as many people knew him in real life which wasn't a bad thing.

"hmm...that's a good question, In my book, I've mostly taken about my experience in driving and my origins, how I went from downhilling on a mountain pass to circuit driving then explaining my theory so that other drivers in the future could find what I've found. Beginners always just try their best to go fast while the immediate focus getting they're a technique to allow them to enter a corner faster but a true master or someone experienced make their own lines when driving fast. When you drive, most people take the same line when driving down a straight away and corners but the more you train, you see new lines open up to help you get around faster but a master will perfect their own technique which help them create their own line, making them faster any other driver, that's what I had in my book, sorry if it sounds confusing, It throws many off who don't drive but to your original question. I quit racing due to the emotional turmoil within myself. A few years ago, during the final lap of the final race of the GT Championship of that year, I took the pole position after performing a slingshot maneuver on the outside towards the wall in a corner with the help of my Fiance whom was drafting behind me in her own car. During the final corner that lead to the straight way, since she couldn't pass me due to damage earlier in the race, she stayed behind me blocking any car trying to pass to take the win....well on the final corner a driver went to fast in the corner, trying to overtake her to take the lead from me but lost control, slamming his car into her which she lost control of her car and slammed into the wall doing 130 MPH, She spun out and slammed into the wall, taking the idiot behind her and two other cars behind him with him in the crash. Her car flipping after she slammed into the wall and with her car being by the car behind, she was killed almost immediately from the impacts, the crash also killed the idiot that hit her with two other's severely wounded.......I didn't know about it until after I crossed the finish line taking the victory home. While it was her fault and not the car's, I still felt responsible for her death so I resigned, it was only fitting although the media thought differently. It doesn't bother me anymore on a daily basis although I still think about it from time to time......I still honor her memory....A year ago I opened the Satoya Hiroka school, my school specializing in driving downhill which has kept me busy being a teacher most times than an instructor, It's all good though, my life still mostly quiet, I decide when it becomes noisy."

That was alot of information he brought down on Alia, he hoped he didn't flood her brain with too much information but he knew it might be hard to take in, even if she didn't know the person, such a loss of live in such a manner was something no one could take easily although horribly as it would sound, the more you saw death, the easier it would become and with his experience in the Japan Defense Force helped him dramatically in that regard although it could of never fully prepared what him what happened that day. With depression somewhat in the air, Ryosuke wanted to change that to something more lightful, anything over this topic, he didn't care about talking about it but people should never talk about such things for long. Seto looked at Alia playfully and did a joking wink at her as he gently poked the side of her chest.

"Crisis, since we know it each other so well already, I should just take you out on a date when we have better clothes, I wasn't expecting to find someone like you Alia, Life certainly works in strange ways, especially on here."

  3. OOC: Sorry staff had to double post since I couldn't fit it all on one post, Alia you don't have to make a post as long as I did, I didn't realize it was that long honestly until after I was done lol

Seto laughed out loud, acting a bit foolishly but he didn't mind if it meant changing the atmosphere and besides it was good to joke around a bit and relax, Alia knew he was mostly joking or at least he hoped anyway, he didn't think about Alia as more than a friend but then again he never really thought about since he had only spawned in the game this morning and since he met Alia, the two had talked about a lot of things which would of stop him from thinking of such things. He already knew her age obviously which didn't bother him and he didn't see her as some kid or as a little sister, it was more like he met a female version of himself to an extent. He wasn't really a relationship type person but that didn't mean he wasn't open to the possibility if he met someone and they showed interest, He felt Alia was probably the same way, seeing a relationship as a secondary thing that didn't come up often. Of course at her age, Ryosuke didn't even have time for himself, let alone for a woman until he got out of the Military a few years later. Now that he did think about it a little, she would make a good housewife or partner. Seto shook his rapidly for a second, no he had to stop thinking about such things, wanting to focus on their friendship, not ruining it since she be a good partner in the game to do quests and grind with and just having fun with in general in the game, he wasn't going ruin his first friendship in the game, making real friends in such a setting was already hard, he didn't want to make it harder.

Seto looked at the fire as it's size began dwindling down before realizing it had to be late by now, the two must have talked for so long they must have lost track of time. He laid up, crossing his legs to sitting Indian style near the fire before looking at Alia, his returned to normal as it was usually on here.

"Hey Alia, it's getting pretty late, we must have gotten distracted by all our talking, we should probably get some sleep, I'll take first watch, I couldn't forgive myself if I let someone hurt you physically or...worse mentally, never know if a perverted bastard nearby. It's probably safe here but I'd rather be safe than sorry."

  4. As the boar came about and the duo faced off against the beast; the male nearly missed hitting his partner, a faint blush passing as he kept his aim truer and more accurate giving some space keeping the male a bit more comfortable. His eyes locked on target unleashed the final arrow as the male spoke, rubbing the back of his head, "Sorry, not use to having someone up in the boars range, hard to aim over a giant of sorts." he teased some laughing, "but I do apologize, aiming an arrow is not as easy as one might think" he said as he then shifted his weight walking over to collect his arrows once more, a faint smile passing, "So they call you Mahlthor, bet it's cause of the hammer there, lightning." he'd say breaking his character some, yet possibly not given the mythology holding the elven race close. So one might not have known or had a clue. None the less the duo made their way off towards the nodes. Arriving he'd nod and agree, "Yes this may very well take a while. But I'm sure your use to labor being a Viking or some ancestral to the words. Yes, you very well look it." he said as he heard the male try to explain his lack of a back story. A small face palm passed as he rubbed his temples.

"That is what is wrong with you humans. You are all so eager to become adults, never listening to your elders. You struggle and never really get a chance to help one another struggle less. Then when you get older you create little bastards who never listen to you, so you essentially create yourself and the cycle continues. I sometimes feel bad; every elven child is taught and learns of his elder's hardships, the troubles we faced and learns to avoid those errors in the future. So our legacy and the things we do as we live make a difference; those of our descendants know what is up. You humans, most of you can't even tell me how far back your lineage goes. Looking at you, I could tell you are some sort of Viking, your structure, build. Yes, you were born from the gods, proud warriors, the way you handle yourself; most likely someone who fought alongside the Aesir. None the less... what matters now I suppose is that you at least know who you are. Although I'm sure you had an interesting background. There is no need to share." he said some disappointed the male hadn't written up a back story but tried to sympathise as not everyone roleplayed. Sighing he'd apologize, "Sorry, just we elves take pride in our heritage, I forget not all are blessed with such knowledge, bastard children, families that die, orphans."

A frown passing he'd shake his head, "All the plagues that man face. I'm sorry, now let's see the amount of metal ore we've collected. Oh, ten pieces. Fifty more I believe." he'd say as he began to once more wack away at the stone "So you have some magic, perhaps you are some bastard, after all, a long lost descendant of a god and some mortal. A very diluted blood but may make sense. Interesting..." he'd say before noting the sudden magical reaction; lightning, "Yes..some poor descendant of Thor... MahlTHOR, even got your father's baby toys." he said with a friendly chuckle pointing out the mini hammer. His own strikes yielding very little. Thinking on it, he'd tap his chin some and then fold his arms, "Perhaps there is an easier way to do this." frowning he'd try to once more slam his pick ax against the node; shrugging as he sighed he'd continue making some small banter.

"So tell me, what brings you to these lands, Falderen. You seem far away from home; why such a journey to this new strange world. I needed to escape my fathers' reign. Not to mention avoid being killed. Not sure if you are aware but most kingdoms and kings don't take so warmly to bastards sons and the throne is in a position of jeopardy. Aside from that, my mother had moved here when I was a kid. I chose to avoid the villages, but she lives there still. I'm a half ling so...it's easier to just stay away from humans. You are not all bad, but some are unkind with words and actions. So I've spent a great deal living out here in the woods, we have agreed upon a fairly balanced life style between us. I just wish however they'd be a bit more kind; especially considering all the help I've given and such. But you can't teach an old dog new tricks. The children seem hopeful but even then their parents rot their minds with old concepts. Teaching how dirty and treacherous an elf is, even though I am an exception cuz I'm only half a bastard to them. But not enough to love as one of their own. It's a rough life, the kingdom was the same way. So be thankful your not a halfling of any kind; although you may be." he teased, "You might be part giant." he said with a grin teasing.

  5. Having been a player as part of the Beta test, it came to no surprise that he already was excited about the game's full release; yet what was a full release for a game that is underground. It wasn't like one could just read up on it through the sites page; no. It was all a big secret. Yet thanks to his job, he was granted plenty of play time to play. Growing up in new york and learning what hard work accomplished he made his way through life comfortably; struggling when needed but never for long. Leaving out of high school he'd joined the military and used it to his advantage for college. Done a fair time in the military, several hitches and completed most of the minimum requirements by his 30's. It was because of that expertise that he was even offered his job, yet the job was part of that at a private firm. He was hired for the most part to guard the CEO's child. The child a shut in often left him baby sitting the kid inside; and as fate would have it. He to the very game he was a fan of; once the kid's father had found out he was left in charge or protecting him personally when the child played. Outside of that, he was to protect him from the others outside of the game as well.

Given today, however; it was a special day. The official release. So having already made a character he'd be able to quickly adjust and recreate it, with some flavored gear left over. His Dragon Lord Costume, a rare drop he earned but it held little to no benefits; aside from being aesthetically pleasing. A specific vanity he held high, as such his character resembled him as best he could; given the height limits. He would exaggerate on a few things such as the hair length and of course the attire. But the male other wise looked similar; and quite good looking. Once arriving inside the room to edit his avatar he seemed to be quickly finished and once more logged into the game. Once there he'd found himself in the Brishal Forest he'd look around for his bratty child. Not finding their name immediately he'd sigh, the kid was probably heavily consumed by the minor details of such trivial things, then again he was no better. He simply had a jump start being a beta player. His special costume, however, seemed to be locked for some reason; perhaps requiring some new unknown requirements as such he grew agitated. None the less the male would look about the players popping up one at a time; tsking he'd be on his way. If the brat was taking his time he'd get started.

With such a smooth launch and balanced servers he was rather impressed they had far exceeded expectations; granted it was far worse in beta, it was to be expected; this result, however, managed to blow his mind. As most ran about trying to explore and find the correct path his interested was more of the combat kind; trying to figure out what had changed verse what was the same. Looking through his inventory, friends list and so forth it remained relatively the same; empty. Well except for a few simple things here and there. However, In the distance, a pillar of light could be seen, he would make his way to its location. Seeking out and heading towards the forest outpost which seemed to be bustling with vendors attempting to cash in on the appearance of the scrubs. But none the less regardless of hand outs they'd learn one of two things, Git Gud or Die. A faint smile passed as he made his way into the crowds shouldering his way past a few of the rather slow folk in his way; standing 6'6 he was rather noticeable. White locks flowing down his back; a perfectly toned and tanned body. All that remained on his persons for gear was the cloth pants and shirt. Taking it off he'd throw it, trash tier junk. He knew he'd have to just upgrade his gear as soon as possible. Thus he'd want to get to the outpost as quick as possible and then test combat once he acquired his gear.

However before he continued it wouldn't be long before the notification popped up and he'd arch a brow, the little snot nosed kid appeared to have finished thier character. A faint smile appeared to have good taste in their character build picking somethign unique. Accepting the Invite to the party and friend request he'd make a note next to the name; shit head. A faint chuckle passing as he then looked to the map to meet up with the little pain in his ass. But getting paid was better than not to play the game he so much enjoyed. Arriving shortly after he'd give the kid a heads up, "Alright little lady, here's the deal, we are heading off from here and these losers to get over to the stalls at the outpost. From there we'll get you geared up and I'll carry your ass grinding some. But to be honest, buddy we are going to need to group up with a few of these scrubs; bigger parties a mass more bonuses. So let's find one other okay? he'd ask as he scouted out among the folks available. His throat cleared he'd shout, "ONE LUCKY NOOB FOLLOW ME AND JOIN THE PARTY!" he'd shout before making his way out of the forest.

  6. Camilo had to admit that the character creator was like nothing he'd ever seen. The database the creator drew on had to have been compiled by an automated program, it was impossible for a group of people - even a large group - to make something this massive. As such, it took him quite a while to settle on a race and the basic colour scheme of his character, and even longer to adjust he fine details into something he was completely satisfied with. But finally he was done. Entering his character name, he reviewed everything on last time and confirmed everything.

Zaos slowly opened his eyes to find himself on the edge of a crowd of tall people. No, he corrected himself, they were regular-sized people - he was just much shorter than them. The loss of nearly two feet off of his regular height was jarring, to say the least. So he just stood there for a few minutes, taking it all in. The welcome party was in full swing, and he smiled as he watched other players and NPCs eat, drink and chat among themselves. The food smelled delicious, and he quickly decided to grab something to eat. Once he was comfortable with his new body, he took a few tentative steps forward, finding that he had no balance issues and proceeded to make a beeline towards the nearest food stall. He accepted a piping hot roll from the vendor and ate it slowly, savouring the taste. The food simulation was perfect, and he wished he knew how it was done. Perhaps he should aim for cooking as his next mastery.

He continued to wander around the festival slowly, absorbing the sights and sounds with a small smile on his face. Terrasphere was truly an achievement in full-dive technology and he hoped that one day his own company would do something similar. It was while he was making a second circuit of the grounds that another player bellowed something about forming a party. Wincing at the noise, he shook his head and mumbled, "And risk fighting monsters with no equipment? Hell no." Sure, he had an attack spell in his Illumancy mastery, but he wasn't quite sure how to cast it without a staff or other magical object. Realizing that there was probably an in-game guide somewhere, he settled near a food stand and started going through the game menu.

  7. Alia wouldn't mind being taught how to drive for herself. She had a driver because well they had the money. But it would be nice to have her own car and own means to get around. she was sure that her parents wouldn't approve though. Females were only supposed to do some many things. Even her swordsmanship was not exactly something that most females had but her parents had to let her do so because otherwise they knew that their child would not listen to the things that they wanted her to do if they did not. In a way it made things a little interesting back at home and some of the boys back at home that had lost to her kept pushing themselves to beat her. The funny thing about that was well they were kinda not able to do so. It didn't really matter though she did what she wanted she even helped those who wanted to be better. So she was unique in her own way. Still there were things she really wanted to do that her parents wouldn't let her and driving her own car was one of them.

"i'd love to be able too. We have a driver taking us around everywhere or like I do. I walk as far as I can to get to places. I annoy my parents in doing that but i do want to be able to do things for myself." She smiled at him and gave him a nod to the rest of his words. Instructing Seto wouldn't be all that hard. If he already knew at least in game how to handle his sword. It also wouldn't be that hard to teach him outside either. It would just take some doing because her parents would try to inquire about what she was doing and all that but she figured she'd be able to pretty much be I'm teaching and that would be the end of that. she wasn't exactly sure how easy or not easy it would be for them to get the weapons that the wanted.

As he began to talk about having a dojo of his own and a shinto shrine next door she couldn't help but smile and be extremely attentive to what he said. She gave him a nod when he answered that wielding a katana or odachi would likely be the same as in real life. He mentioned Sword art Online as a comparison. She had heard about the incident revolving around SAO and had be intrigued to hear what was going on but she had to keep that underwraps in a way at home. She was glad that it had been dealt with and glad that is spurred some serious looks at rules and regulations for VRMMO's still she was glad that things like Terrasphere could survive regardless. Even if it was pretty much an underground things. Hopefully the two of them would be able to do what they wanted too in game and get the weapons that they wanted too no matter how hard they might be to get.

She noticed movement and she tensed a little bit but when nothing came at them she relaxed again. She looked back over at Seto as he mentioned that she was smart and that he wished he was the same way when he was eighteen. She just smile at him looking up at the stars again. She was sure she'd fit in wherever she decided to go but Japan had always been one of those places she had waned to go no matter what. "Well its not much difference from the boarding school I go too. There are things that happen on the weekends but generally my parents take me out so that i can the others things that I do and so that my younger siblings can have me tutoring them and all that. we basically go home on weekends because we live so close to our schools and we have it arranged that way." it was more boarding school up until graduation but it had been educational and she was supposed to be heading off to college but her parents had allowed for her to take a year off if she wanted too. She ahd choosen not too and would be going to NYU in the falls but luckily it was summer.

She then listened to what he was going to write about in his book and what was already inside of it. She actually wanted to read it even more now. When he began to alk about his fiance and what happened to her, her eyes went wide and it started to make sense as to why he had resigned from racing and why he was living a quiet life now. It all came into the full picture about him and it made Alia smile a bit more. He opened a school in honor of her. She wondered if she would ever touch someone like that but she didn't say anything to do. She was still digesting all of the information why he turned the intensitiy of the conversation down to a somewhat joking level. She started to giggle a little bit when he said they should go on a date once they got better clothes. "you are so on." she said as she sat up stretching a bit. Realizing how late it actually was.

She looked over at him and gave a nod when he told her he'd take first watch. "Alright but wake me if something does happen. I don't want you dying on me okay." She said with a smile on her face and she curled back up on the grass. It felt so nice not to be in a bed at the moment. She really couldn't tell you why though. She closed her eyes and a few minutes later she drifted off to sleep not really realizing how tired she might have been but still waiting to be woken up so that she could take the second watch and he could sleep some.

  8. OOC: Don't worry about it

The two had a nice conversation, about driving, Seto knew he have to teach that woman how to drive quick just like him, there was just no exception now since she was driven around by someone else. Then the next topic was kendo which really to make Alia's eyes light up when he told her he had a Dojo despite the fact he never used it much. That was a tragedy in its own right since he loved Kendo and the concept of the "Way of the Sword". After this, he knew he had to make time for Kendo and perhaps hire an instructor to teach him in his free time which he had lots of since he only worked part time and that job was a breeze. He could barely consider it a job since he usually observed his students driving and gave them advice or hints, he really didn't even instruct them, finding it important for a true driver to figure things out on his own although he did teach them proper weight control like his father did back when he was a kid. The other half of his job was teaching driving theory in a classroom at times by using computers to balance their car's, predict how a car handles, simulations etc, overall he really couldn't ask for a better job since he was making eight point five million yen alone, that didn't include his royalties from his incomplete book. Eventually, he knew he have to get on to finishing his second book to complete the first since everyone has the same burning question besides the obvious one, why would someone like the legendary prodigy Ryosuke Hiroka retire early from such a promising career? It greatly annoyed him when people asked when it obvious, it was well known several years that Satoya and Ryosuke were in a relationship, the media were always over it dubbing them the "Racing Lovers" which was mainly made him renown to those outside the driving field.

He was surprised that after his departure from the GT league, that after writing and publishing his first book albeit incomplete technically, on how much attention it got from driving enthusiast and regular people alike he always wondered if it was because he mentioned Satoya and his relationship in it? he knew women enjoyed reading that part, seeing it as a romance book somehow although he never intended to be read like that. It had gotten so popular that after he received countless mail from driving enthusiasts and even amateurs from the circuit to teach them. Guess he didn't have a choice in the matter really although it was strange to get classes filled completely with women at times, now his school was equal gender wise with his school having two teams, one for men and one for women but the pro team had both. All that happened over his book? His book must be really special, he could tell by Alia's face that she probably wanted to read it, it would def be an interesting read for her, it might make her into a gearhead. He could see it now seeing that little redhead trying to drive an older Nissan Z34 around a corner. He wasn't surprised either when she lid up like a rocket again when he told of his fiance's death, it was quite normal by today and it didn't both him much although there was more to the reason it wasn't like he was going to ask her so it was pointless to think about it anymore. Of the entire conversation, his favorite was by far when Alia giggled when he suggested they go on a date, she completely threw him off his game when she told him "you're so on". To say that mind screwed was an understatement, he was mostly joking with her when he said that but she said it almost instantly, he couldn't tell whether she was serious or not. No matter how she felt about it, Ryosuke knew the two would have a good time on a date even if it's only fun.

Seto laughed a little with a grin on his face when she told him not to die while on watch, Seto looked at her smirking as she curled up to goto bed. "If dodging bullets in Afghanistan and driving cars at 160MPH down a mountain has taught me anything, it is to never leave your guard down even for an instant." Getting his lazy butt up, he walked over to Allia and kneeled towards her and patted her head right above her forehead gently. Good Night Allia, I'll see you in the morning." Seto walked away and sat down near a tree hidden from the path's view, well this was going to be fun, at least he was used to staying up for long periods of time without sleep so this wouldn't be an issue. Sitting against this tree reminded of his time in the JDF, those weren't fun times due to his UN deployment. During that time all he could remember was being shipped over to a shithole of a place, desolate of people and animals or life just in general then bullet, bullets and more bullets getting thrown towards. That was never fun, especially when he watched his friends died or when he had to fix their vehicle during a combat engagement. Seto shook his head wanting to forget that part of his life, it only brought up memories than his fiance dying a few years ago. Wanting to forget those memories, Seto got his behind up and scanned the area for suspicious people....no one....yet. For the next few hours, Seto would cautiously walk around the camp ever ten minutes, seeing little to nothing besides the Occasional lone wolve and one or two players that have walked by. It eventually became apparent that nothing was probably going to happen but Seto refused to think that way, he had to keep his guard up no matter what. Another few hours transpired with nothing happening until Seto performed his last patrol of the camp area, he saw over a dozen of torches....riding wolves in the distance? Was he becoming delusional? Seto slapped himself a few times before looking again. this time they were only twenty or thirty feet away. Seto gritted his teeth as he sighed "Oh Shit." he muttered to himself. With whatever was closing in fast, Seto had no choice, running back to Allia, Using his two arms, he wrapped them around her upper back and legs to carry her gently so he wouldn't wake her, she looked a little too peaceful to be awoken. Walking fast from the camp, Seto walked into the forest near the path where there was a large fox hole they could hide in that he had found earlier when gathering firewood. Kneeling himself and Allia carefully to fit into the fox hole, he slowly crouched his way into the fox hole. He laid Allia down gently before popping his head out of the foxhole....Clear but he could tell they were now investigating the camp, that was good at all! Looking around the fox hole, Seto noticed a large tree bush that had fallen on the ground nearby. Using his strength, he moved the large tree branch over the fox hole's entrance, hiding them from whatever was coming. Returning to Allia who was still asleep he thought gently again picked her up and laid her on top him against the wall, he wasn't going to let her sleep on the dirt, it was already bad enough they were a fox hole, a minuter like cave without a ceiling. Laying at the back of the fox hole against the left wall with plenty of roots poking out, he had Allia lay on his chest facing toward the ceiling in an effort to keep this non perverted, he really wanted to think he was trying to do anything to her or anything, he respected her too much to do something like that. As the running got closer and closer Seto closed his eyes preparing for the worst but after the moment, the mount wolves ran by with their running becoming quieter and quiet as the seconds went by with it completely gone after a minute. Seto sighed in relief after they were gone as he wrapped his arms around Alia and fell asleep with his eyesight going dark. Seto slept throughout the entire night like a child until dawn finally hit. As the sun found its way through the holes of the tree bush and through the holes of fox hole's ceiling, the rays of the sun awoke him. Seto woke up to his head pounding like it had been hit with a hammer, he definitely needed some coffee but with Alia still on him asleep, it didn't look like he wasn't going to move for awhile, he didn't care, he just hope she wouldn't freak out over their situation.

  9. Alia really liked talking to Seto and as she closed her eyes she had so many thing running through her head. It was different from how full her head was after her lessons but still it was full. She took a few deep breaths before she fell asleep. It didn't take her long apparently the talk had taken more out of her then she had thought. After all this was first time in the game and all of that and it was surprising at how sleepy she actually seemed to be even if it was virtual sleep that she might be getting. She didn't know the thoughts that were running through Seto's head but she was glad to be told as she was falling asleep that he'd be just fine and that he'd keep a good eye out on the going ons. She slept for a few hours with nothing really coming to her mind to wake her up. He dreams were a little odd places she hadn't seen. Places in this world and she wondered why she was dreaming in such a way. But it didn't stop her from at least getting some restful sleep despite being wierded out by the dreams.

She felt herself picked up but she was too groggy coming out of her dream to say anything and she didn't move she could feel the urgency in the movement that was going on and when her ears heard the running of something behind them well she knew to stay still. As she was laid in the fox hole she wanted to say something but she didn't knowing that saying anything would alert those coming for them. Finally everything seemed to die down and she was about to ask Seto what was going on and if he knew what had come after them. He was asleep before she could get anything out of her but she had to commend him on keeping things not weird. Though she was glad she had woken up for a little of it.

She was up or rather she was awake before the sun rose. She didn't want to wake Seto so she just lay where she was. When he moved she moved a little bit and turned as carefully as she could to look at him. "morning, want to go get something to eat?" She questioned. She made no comment of it being odd or not odd. It seemed in her manner that she had realized the reasoning behind what was going on and why she had woken leaning up against him. She poked her head out of the fox hole and looked around before moving everything off. "Coast seems clear now." She smiled at him and then lifted herself out of the fox hole. She took her hand and let it out so that he could grab hold if he needed to though she was sure he could get himself up out of the fox hole. She looked more relaxed and more comfortable then the previous day here in the virtual world. This was going to be a good thing for stress relief that was for sure.

  10. Seto had wanted to jump when she turned carefully to around to look at him, causing his cheeks to turn red as he blushed slightly. Seto had to use all his concentration to just lay still as she questioned him about getting something to eat. He was wondered about this situation then eating although to be fair, he was the one who laid her on top of him since he didn't want her to lay on the ground. Seto sighed as he took control of his right hand and face palmed himself hard as Alia poked her head out of the foxhole, he still couldn't believe he did that, he didn't want to look or act weird around Alia, it just wasn't him or Seto's thing to act in such a way. He lost his train of thought when she offered her hand to help raise him out of the hole. Grabbing her hand, he used his upper arm's muscles to pull himself back up into the forest, revealing the road nearby as well as the tree's nearby and the sun's rays shining on them. Putting his left hand on his neck, he tilted his head hard to the right before turning to the left, making large crack like noises, It felt good as his neck felt not as stiff from before, sleeping in a fox hole didn't do any favours to his back or neck but at least his back didn't ache that much compared to his neck. After he was done nearly a minute later, he returned to look at her to answer the question she asked a few minutes ago prior. Gazing upon her, she looked pretty good for someone who just slept in a foxhole, she must have been really comfortable sleeping on him, he must have been a really good pillow to sleep on if she was that good in a mood. The whole thing made him blush again slightly as he raised his voice to get her attention. He raised his left hand on the back of his head, trying to comfort himself.

"I guess I should explain what happened last night to you huh? Honestly am not sure myself...One minute I was standing guard under the tree near the road than the next minute I thought I was losing it when I saw a bunch of people mounted on wolves carrying torches. I slapped myself a few times to see I was daydreaming....unfortunately I wasn't. When I realized they would be on top of us in minutes, I had to get you to safety, sorry for not waking you up last night but you were sleeping like an angel, I didn't want to wake you. Luckily for us I didn't have to travel far since I found this foxhole when I was looking for firewood last night, good thing huh?" Seto then blushed a bit heavier and hesitating before he spoke again.

"Sorry for laying you on me, I didn't want you to lay on the ground...oh and I swear on Satoya's grave I didn't do anything weird or....preverted towards you when you were asleep. Seto then excused himself as he walked about twenty feet, finding himself on the path from the village they came from the day before that led up to the outpost only a short distance away from where they were now. He was surprised how Alia was mature about the entire situation after he was done blushing, it had put him at ease, knowing she wasn't like most women he met, she was different, almost special or unique like. Looking down the road, he saw a bunch of players in the distance heading his way although since they were on a hill of sorts, he could tell it take an hour before they got to their location, he figured they were heading to the outpost and it would be a good idea to get there before they did. Returning back To Alia as his usual self, he walked back up towards her to answer her other question she asked.

"I know you're hungry Alia but I think we should head out for the outpost, It's only a real short distance from here and I don't think it will be crowded if we leave now before the horde of players gets to it. I saw them on the road from the top of the hill, They got about an hour before they get to where we are, so Come on!"

Without any hesitation or allowing her to think properly, He firmly grabbed her hand before leading her to the road, he didn't want to waste any time getting to the outpost, wanting to be there when it was quiet before all the other players would arrive. As soon as they started walking down the road if Allia came along, Seto released her hand gently, he didn't want to cause a scene or raise eyebrows if any one besides themselves saw it. After a few minutes of steady walking down the path, she looked over his shoulder showing Alia's face, he chuckled a bit before speaking.
"You know if someone told me a week ago or even yesterday morning that I would be staying a night in a fox hole with a beautiful redhead, I would have probably fallen on my behind and died of laughter, I hope it wasn't too bad for you either. You knew Seto was alright when he wouldn't take long for himself to make a joke of what happened earlier in the morning. He wasn't much of a joker but humor at times was the best medicine. After about thirty minutes finally over the hill that felt like it taken forever to climb, it revealed the Wursht Outpost. Protected by makeshift lumber walls and a few gates for each direction, Seto could see the many vertically-low rise buildings, many merchant stalls with their NPC's owners standing nearby, towards the south entrance he could see a large inn like structure with a few cute barmaids taking and giving orders to customers as well as other things going on, he could even see a band with drums and lutes in the distance. This got him and he was sure Alia was excited as well. Signaling Alia with his hand to follow behind him as he made his way to the entrance. Walking down the hill and under the entrances guarded by some sort of militia, Seto's head nearly popped off his neck as he looked all over the place. Right at the front, he could tell there was almost no body here besides a few players, it was a good thing they left when they did. Noticing two buildings near the entrance, one was a buffet restaurant with a huge sign at the top reading, "FIRST TIME FREE FOR FIRST TIME PLAYERS!" and the other building was a simple tailoring shop owned by an elderly lady, she also had a similar sign up on her store as well reading, "FIRST OUTFIT FREE OF CHARGE FOR FIRST TIME PLAYERS". This got him excited, he could get a free meal in and get some new threads to wear, he didn't care if they were trash tier clothes, anything was better than what he was wearing. Turning his head to Allia, he rested his hand on her shoulder as he asked her the most important question of their friendship yet.

Alia, we totally hit the jackpot today! I knew coming here early was a good idea. Since am a gentleman and you're the Lady am escorting, It is only right for me to deter to you. Do you want to get a free meal first or get some new trash tier clothes for free? We got about an hour to kill before the horde of players get here and ruin our fun."

OOC: After this post, am going to post in the Outpost thread- http://spherical.link/terrarp/threads/link-start-the-outpost.89/ - that takes place directly after this thread where you make it to the outpost. If you don't want to, let know if you want to do a thread instead so we can get some MP and G

  11. Kana wasn't sure how long it was that she waited before she actually logged on to the client. She knew about the world seed she kept up but she had not touched MMO's especially not the VRMMO's in two years. She wasn't like a few of the others that came out of the SAO incident. She'd been for the first time in her life really scared. And though there was only one person who knew how she felt about it she did not speak of it. So she had waited to log into Terrasphere. When she finally did get up the nerve she nearly yelled at herself for being so weak. It was time to get over the fear of a full dive. And even though she wouldn't admit it full dive technology had come a long way and America had more strick laws so she put on her gear a new one she had bought because well nerve gear still freaked her out.

She laid down and took a breath. "Link Start"

Everything ran smoothly as she found herself staring a character that she could design herself which she had to smile at. And so she did exactly that. Designing it to be the same height and close to herself but in such a way that people wouldn't know who she was by it on the otuside world if she met anyone in the real world that knew this game. She took a deep breath finally happy with what she looked like. She put in her name and then she smiled and entered the virtual world once more. She had her eyes shut tight when she finally entered the game proper.

She opened them slowly. She let her eyes adjust to this world and like SAO this world took her breath away. The email she had gotten with the client only said a few thing and she had done some of her research so there were a few more things that had kept her away but it hadn't lasted for long enough. Worlds that you could full immerse yourself in. It was something that she had liked back when she first heard about virtual or even agument reality. Sure it wasn't something she was supposed to be interested in but it could help she figured at some point it could help the medical field. She shook off her thoughts and looked around at her spawning ground which to her was just outside an apparent animal den. oh crap her head screamed out at her as she looked for her health bar. She took a breath and she just started running. There was a light up ahead and there had to be a village somewhere right. She just took off running her legs taking her as quickly as they could before she came to the area for new players. She looked around as she took a breath.

Alright time to find a cheap sword and time to figure out how this game was played. She looked at her menu with a smile and then she went about looking around not really looking to talk to anyone but she wouldn't mind the company if someone wanted to ask her something. She had given herself the starter clothes set but she wondered what people would say about it. tattered jeans and a shirt she had tied up. oh well no biggy this was going to be fun. Or at least she would make it that way. The fear of where she was bega to wash away as she took in the sites at the starter village knowing there somewhere else that she could go but she felt like talking to those running the toturials for this world. you will respawn you will respawn she had to keep telling herself but the more she stayed and talked to the npcs and got directions the more she didn't have to even say that.

  12. Seto seemed flustered and she didn't think he would be. She was as well but it was more that she half understood before being told what happened. However, sleeping the way they had had kept her comfortable and not him so she felt bad that he seemed to have hurt his neck but he seemed to be able to stretch everything out which made her in a sense really happy as she stretched a bit herself. He was really comfy to sleep on she would give him that. Though the thoughts alone confused her a bit. She shook it off she would deal with her thoughts later. He broke her out of them anyways but telling her what it was that had happened to them that night.

"Wait people were riding wolves? Like Dire wolves?" She questioned him not really sure that she wanted to believe that was possible. Granted she remembred seeing something about beat taming when she looked at masteries but still that seemed just odd. Also really terrifying when you got down too it. "I...I did wake up a little bit when you moved me. I tried to say something after we got into the fox hole but i was still dazed and you had fallen asleep by the time i had gotten my voice to work properly again." She looked down at little bit. But he'd been so comfy so it didn't take her long to fall back to sleep either.

She didn't even think that he would do something weird or perverted. He didn't seem to be that type of guy. "its okay you are really comfy." She said softly on her face appeared a deep pink blush. She was a little flustered when her own words. She watched him walk away. She didn't really know why she blushed but it happened. She felt comfortable around him so maybe that was why. She listened to his words after he came back to her. "Oo yes let's get to the outpost before the rest of them do." She had to agree with him she did not want to be around when hordes of players got to the damn out post. She followed him quickly as he grabbed her hand. it wasn't like he was dragging her or anything it only took a few moments for her to be walking right along side him matching his steps. She smiled at him and listened to his words.

"I wouldn't have believed it either. but that's what life is about the unexpected." She smiled at him and then she looked at the outpost they were heading into. This please so much better then the starter village. "Music!" She said delighted when she saw the lutes. She looked back at Seto and at the signs he saw too. "yes we did. and hmm let's go with getting new threads and then food." She wanted her first call on clothes she was a girl after all even if she was the one that didn't want to admit it sometimes.

  13. The creation process had been a breeze for her. Some people liked to fine tune every little detail twelve time over when creating a character for these kinds of games, but she felt no need to do anything besides duplicate her won appearance. She didn't care all that much if she came off as ordinary, boring, or plain. She was only here to observe, after all. It was her goal ever since learning of the game, it's impressive full dive client, massive word that seemed impossibly large to be crafted by way of human effort, and the promise of an opportunity to write a thesis paper for her graduation project that would put her class to shame, and earn her recognition in her field right out of college.

Everyone who knew what full dive was knew about the SAO incident, and she was well aware that although the makes of full dive sets claimed that they were perfectly safe now, that's what they also said before SAO as well. She was willing to take a bit of risk to achieve her goals though, and it didn't matter that much anyway; her goal was to find a sizable city inside the games 'no pk' safezone and burrow out a little niche where she could simply sit and watch everything unfold like a fly on the wall.

She had absolutely no interest in the game itself, but was instead interested in watching the players. She wanted her research paper to outline the sociological impact that full dive games had on people. When you could literally be anything you wanted to, what would people choose to be, and why? For this, she didn't need to play the game so much as just log in and watch the players interact. If her plans went off without a hitch, she would be able to achieve her objective without so much as casting a spell, or setting foot anywhere near any real danger.

She spent her first few hours wandering around the beginner zone, doing the usual beginner things. As adverse as she was to getting her hands dirty, she understood that a working knowledge of the games mechanics would be crucial to her success. With a look of utter disdain, she wielded her simple arsenal of illumancy to kill a few weak creatures that were meandering around specifically for the purpose of being killed by new players. Slimes, rats, bees... nothing that would pose any sort of threat to anyone even pretending to pay attention. She hated the realism of their deaths though. unlike other games, they didn't simply vanish in a shower of sparks and over stylized text when they died. The bodies just sat there, twisted and broken by the healing magic she'd chosen just in case she were ever confronted with real danger. Since she had no intention of fighting and doing quests, she simply chose the skills that she thought would give her the best chance of escaping a dangerous situation.

After some time, she noticed her gradually depleting needs meters, and had to stop for a moment to check and see what they actually represented. Without the aid of the automatic translation chip built into her eyeglasses that she was never without in the real world, she struggled to read the instructions written in English, which were not her first language. She was annoyed to learn that she needed to do mundane things like eating and drinking, and somehow sleep also played into things as well, though she rationalized that this could be taken care of while she was logged out.

Annoyed, she sought out an NPC and demanded with the limited english she could speak unassisted "Where Ees Town?" in a thick eastern European accent. Before the simulated persona could even finish his sentence, she was already on her way.
