At first, Mahlthor was a little deflated as earlier the egg began to hatch, two tiny, but clearly insectoid, wings breaking free of the growing chasm in the egg shell surface. But then, as the rather large moth crawled the rest of the way out of the egg, he couldn't help but immediately fall in love with the little guy. I mean, look at that face? Those big ol' innocent eyes. That fluffy face of moth-fur. He had almost forgotten that he had a second egg to wait upon.
The sandy egg jumped, shivered, and cracked, eventually popping forth... a torrent of water? Wait, no! It was a sea otter! Like, a SEA otter, as in made of sea! "Oh, my, you two are ADORABLE!" The current high pitch of the large man's voice might catch someone off guard. Gathering up his two new pets, and after some instruction on their care and grooming, Mahlthor set off in search of goodies for both of them.
"I think we need to get you a comb, Mothra, that face of yours will get shaggy otherwise." He says to the moth as it begins to almost burrow in the man's golden locks. "And Hebineko..." he pauses as the otter smacks his head with the clamshell, laughing it off before continuing. "Maybe we can find something for you as well. A toy hammer for that clamshell or something?"
Mahlthor combs the street for some sort of shop selling something akin to these. Spotting one, he heads in that direction as the two pets almost nest in his hair. As the door opens and a bell sounds, the trio get about a foot step's depth into the store front before a message pops up for Mahlthor.
A play date, huh? He muses to himself. "Well, that sounds like fun. What say you two?" His two companions give their affirmation, the moth by burrowing further and making an almost excitable buzzing sound with his wings, while the otter begins to swim rings in the air around Mahlthor, momentarily forgetting his clamshell. "Ha ha! Alright you two, then lets do it."

Hey, that sounds like a good idea! These two are also excited about it, looking forward to it! We are right now in town looking at some shops, but we can be out that way in a little while?
