Making a new Friend
Discussion in 'Brisshal' started by Master Daisuke, Jul 4, 2017.
  1. Seto simply sighed at Daisuke comment as he returned to normal as the faituge got to him. He had surprised himself as he stared at all the corpses laying on the ground, sure the fresh guards had cut down the survivors but he knew he had cut down at least twenty of the bastards before they arrived. If he wasn't so tired, he would have killed the rest of the bastards himself, it was good practice after all with his Odachi. As soon as he heard his partner mentioned training and dropping his blade, Seto just wanted to let loose on his ass but he knew it wasn't worth the conflict, he knew he still needed his partner to finish this and what was after. It was worse for Seto's mind when he remembered they didn't even get to the damn cave they had originally planned on going to train and maybe get some loot out of it after taking out the boss. Grabbing his attention, Seto looked up at Daisuke with a disappointed face as Daisuke took a seat near him.

"I know.....am Japanese myself but I don't come from a long ancestral line from the warring period I don't believe. I just killed twenty or thirty of this damm bastards, am pretty worn out wielding an Odachi during the battle. You should try it sometime, it's not exactly fun.....If this is what heroes do every day for a living, it's sure as hell good am no damm Hero."

Seto definitely didn't want to do this for at least awhile, especially since he was essentially doing it for free which was a major no no in his book. Laying back, he gathered his strength for a few moments, letting his energy rebuild back up since he would surely need it soon, very soon. Using his newly gathered strength, Seto pushed himself up off the ground, he reattached his Saya to his back firmly in place before he picked up his Odachi, now covered in dry blood back into its resting spot, Seto wandered around the destroyed camp in hopes of waking up his stiff leg. he walked up and down the camp trying to get the blood going again until he noticed a slightly larger cage. Looking inside he saw a woman...one that was still alive. He stared at her as he noticed the blood of the dead that covered her body and face, it was a gruesome sight indeed. Anyone with a weak stomach would lose sleep over something like this. Seto opened the cage door which was surprisingly unlocked but when he tried to offer his hand, the woman snapped as she drew a dagger, Seto feared that dagger was going to find him and cut his throat. Slowly Seto backed away from the cage, not wanting to agitate the woman any more than he had already. It wasn't his problem if she wanted to stay in there, frankly, he didn't really care either, he was justing to be nice, he wasn't going to get stabbed over it and possibly die. Walking back slowly to his partner who must have recovered by now, Seto kept his right hand on his Odachi's hilt, he wouldn't be able to wield it like later with his muscles has given out somewhat earlier but as long as he played it safe and slow he would be fine.

"Daisuke! you ready to finish this quest? We havn't even hit the cave yet."

  2. As the two sat there and talked he'd laugh, popping an Elixir healing up his mana, the real fatigue he felt, his headache taking up more of the pain than anything else, which honestly was just a side effect of his mind down. Eyes closed he'd relx and let himself recover a bit more. Letting his team mate disappear he'd relax there nearly falling asleep again, it wouldn't be long before he heard his team mate, "Yeah, but you lead the way. I'm bit tired still and my head is killing me. Getting a Mind down is a terrible fate for mages; comes with a headache and a fatigue I can only describe as exhaustion coupled with some grogginess when first waking up." he'd say as he smiled some to try and shake it off. But before leaving he'd scan the area a bit more to raid the camp while the guards finished up. Taking the coin he wanted and walking over to the bodies he'd watch as they began burying their soldiers bowing he'd take an item from his inventor; an item of some value a Crystal rumored to protect souls. Putting it down in the dirt he'd sad a prayer as it stone glew and he attempted to help the NPC find his place.

Turning he gave what he raided to the captain,"As we agreed, this is to find his wife and son. Should I hear rumor they are not rewarded I'll be back and inform your king of not only the dishonor but thievery and how you pocket the lining of your pants. Try to be less obvious." he'd say as the guard looked to the side and agreed for his silence.Once done he'd pat his team mate's back, "We are done here. Let's find that cave." he said chuckling as he took after the male letting him lead. His eyes scanning the land as they did so, grabbing at his arm, pointing out enemies and trying to avoid any unnecessary fighting. As such, they'd managed to avoid quite a bit before stumbling across the area with the alleged cave. "Alright, you know the area better than I no? Where are we going now?" he'd say looking about to the map trying to read it. "Seems it's nearby but not marked or at least obvious, maybe it's over this way.

He'd say taking the lead as he soon saw a cave off at a distance, not far from the river that divided their forest. As he slowly began to make his way over he'd raise a hand and point to it, the beastly giant guarding the area; Fuck it's a bear...why does it have to be a bear. Damn it, Yogi, the Rangers said no picnic baskets, seem you been eating the baskets and the park guests. Time to put you down like old Boo boo." he says raising his staff channeling his magic twirling his hand before unleashing a powerful burst of lightning down upon the beast; A critical hit.

His grin passing as the bear roared angrily and set his eyes dead upon the mage. Rushing forth he'd run towards the water and smile. Rushing over towards it, he'd slam his staff upon the water causing ice sending the bear sliding into the water which hadn't frozen. He himself sliding would laugh s the best burst up and onto the ice once more charging in. Raising up the pillar of ice in the spike formation; it ran right through; trucking it down as it stood up hard slapping at the mage; sending him flying with no joke, "AHHHH!" he'd shout as he went flying; his tiny torso skidding across the ground; pain filling his body. It felt like being hit by a truck. Eyes opening slowly he'd grunt as he slowly tried to get up near his ally. "Fuck it hits hard like a truck, what hit me..." he said jokingly yet in pain. As he slowly made his way up onto his feet the male would once more take to fight. "Be careful with this one. He took a clean ten percent of my health with little effort. I'd hate to see a bite or an actual attempt." he said some grabbing at torn cloth.

Raising his staff once more he'd begun to channel his magic prepping for the next attack. All the while the bear would charge over in their direction; the aim at the mage but had the swordsman got in the way; mighty paws would come crashing down as if to strike the male hard. Perhaps to pin him down. His jaw clenching shut hard trying to bite. His anger shifting as the aggro would shift as the beast chased the male down; moving at an easy forty miles an hour in the real world it was no surprise this beast in the game could keep up with the quickest of the quick. His body charging forth knocking into a tree; as it tumbled. Sliding across the ice once more into the cavern wall some before charging once more in their direction.

  6. Seto was still shocked to find Daisuke drained when he came back, he didn't think he would have been this fatigued from the battle, he wondered how bad it was where he was during the battle, was it as bad as it was here? This time it was Seto's time to lead after his partner suggested it, he didn't mind since he had been following Daisuke since they met. Before they left the camp, Seto stood at the camp's gate again as his partner did some last minute scavaging around the camp, Seto had thought about it but considering the camp's condition, he didn't really see a point. He watched Daisuke from a distance as he said a few last words to the guards who fought and died before. To Seto it was just pointless to bury the dead, they should have just burned their bodies, how is a large grave with multiple corpses a good thing? not to mention maggots would get to them and have their way with them. Eventually, Daisuke returned and the two went on their way through the forest with Daisuke grabbing his arms at times to point any enemies or landmarks of value which helped the two greatly in getting to the area where the cave was without much interruption. Of course, after getting there though, it was pretty clear his partner didn't how to read maps when he looked more puzzled than he did. Seto knew how to read maps but the map the two were using was....lacking vital details needed to get somewhere, he could the map was old as it starting to lose it color and the map itself had the general landmarks and towns but nothing small beside a few rivers nearby. He had tried his best but he wasn't much better at reading this map then his partner was. Seto and Daisuke had to work together on this one and after an hour of walking through circles and walking into some lovely tree's they eventually found their way to what seemed like the cave they were looking for.

Taking point, Daisuke once again led Seto towards the cave until the two noticed a large beast...a Bear. Well this just made things hell of a lot more interesting although he didn't think Daisuke took it that way after cussing about it. "Looks like another challenge to me, rather deal with that thing than twenty or thirty bandits."
Seto said to his partner as he shot the dam thing with a bolt of lighting which really made it angry, well so much for slicing its neck or impaling his sword into its head Seto thought to himself. With it now being fun time, watching Daisuke as he rushed at the beast towards the water, reforming the water into ice he watched and laughed as the bear fell on it's behind as it slid across the ice before falling into the portion that wasn't frozen, it was like watching a cartoon back in the real world. Despite the beast flying into the water, it somehow managed to not only recover but climb onto the ice and charge at Daisuke again only for it to run into an ice pillar, breaking it then slamming into the mage, Now was the time to move, it was his turn to jump in since his partner just took a hit. Drawing his Odachi he charged in like a wild man to distract the bear from him. Hearing his team mate lost ten percent of health wasn't good, Seto would need to go on the defensive this time, he was still recovering from earlier as well so he couldn't push himself to his limit but he still knew he could dish out some damage on the beast. When his team mate got up, He stood in front of him, giving the beast the eyes to dare him to attack, to see who would the last one standing, probably wasn't a good idea when the beast charged their position. Charging the beast, he rolled the beast when he got too close for comfort, landing onto the ice. Upon turning around, the beast had followed him and fell on his behind again, smashing the two into the cold waters. It took a few minutes for Seto to get back to the edge of the bank, only to notice the beast left parting gift before falling in. His left arm had been slashed by the beast's claw and it was bleeding enough to be a concern. It was painful, Seto thought that he had overcome pain long ago. After extensive traveling and entering constant battle, he thought he would have become so used to the feeling of pain that his body is broken and bleeding that it would hardly even bother him when injured yet here we were. He had thought physical pain for the most in the mind, so trivial compared to the mental torture the Darkness would pull within his own soul as his vile counterpart constantly tried to free itself. No, he knew he was stronger than this, he wouldn't let the pain get to him, he wouldn't! he can't! yet it seemed he was wrong, very wrong it indeed as he felt his arm vibrated in pain as blood began dripping down his arm as if it was raining. It was real agony, he could feel the pain of his arm, he could feel the skin crack from the pain and each step he would take towards his partner felt like hell and this was just a deep flesh wound. With his eyes starting to become blurry from the loss of blood, he forced to keep walking until he heard the beast coming to shore.

Hearing the beast stomp through the water to the shore, for right this moment he couldn't do anything but prepare and brace himself for the coming attack. Closing his eyes, Seto calmed himself and steadied his breathing control, focusing everything he had on his ears to be his eyes, he readied his Odachi high in the air and waited..and waited until the beast made a run for him. Waiting for the perfect timing, he brought down a powerful vertical strike right on its head, slamming the blade right on time of the forehead, forcing a critical hit which stopped it dead in its track paralyzed for a few moments, enough to do some damage.

  10. As the two laid a beatng into the bear; he'd still feel the residual pain from the beasts attack. His hands raised to continue to charge his next attack, this skill preparing to do a signficant amount of damage. His magic focused the beast would focus his assault on the others, as he seemed capable of handling himself. The bear dealing significant damage to the area around them until it was stunned in place by the young samurai. A faint smile passed as the male held the magical strike for a second turn, the charge now hitting the trained state; the amount of mp also draining at a higher rate. Lips parting he'd shout "Hold him off a bit longer." he'd plead as he remained calm and still motionless; there was little to no movement from him. Which was good because in just a few more moments he'd strike it far harder. The charge reaching near perfection as the male entered his magic's maximum capacity for charge. "ALRIGHT MOVE!"

He'd shout as he shouted above to the top of his lungs, "SUB ZERO SHATTER" He'd say as the water around it swallowed it whole into a water sphere locking it in place as it freezing it in place before the ice began to form a solid sphere around it. The ice slowly but surely Implouding on itself. Shattering into many smaller crystals on the beast before blood began to pour from it's being; it wasn't frozen due to it's thick fur but the piercing of the shards among the presure caused a bleeding effect. Leaning on his knee he'd grin as he looked to the male, "Alright that will have to do for now, I got his attention. Rest up while you can and I'll take it from here." he said as he drained the bear of some stamina, the two running off and towards the water, the male using small basic strikes against it to keep it at bay and strike the nerves. Giving his ally a moment to breath and to take a break.

  14. He heard the words of his team mate to hold off the beast for a bit longer, that was going to be a bit harder than usual, not able to rely on his eyes but he still felt confident n his abilities to kill the beast. Mustering enough strength for him to raise his blade for the beast, whom now had taken significant damage from his team mate, the beast wouldn't be able to fight much longer at this pace. Seto bit his lip as he stood there near the beast, trying to fight it and the pain that was surging from his arm, Seto cleared his mind, removing the fact he was injured to make him be able to fight more effectively, becoming somewhat unaware of the pain he was going through and how much damage had been caused to his arm. As the beast charged him again, he heard Daisuke yell towards him to move, Seto narrowly dodged which he could only guess as another spell from his teammate as he felt the water move before his wound becoming cold when the water turned to ice keeping the beast in one place before it shattered into many smaller crystals on the beast, damaging it further. He became pissed when Daisuke told him to sit this one out, frankly, his Vile side was roaring at him from within, trying to gain control, it just wanted to rip apart that beast and watch it die slowly from its torture. Seto sat on the ground for another moment before he lowered his head as if he died. In reality, his Vile side had taken over as two small ebony arura's came out, ripping around his eyes as dark energy seeping from his wound. Opening his eyes again, Seto began walking slowly towards the beast as if he was never injured in the first place and dragged his blade on the ground from behind. He began muttering to himself as he approached the beast. Calling forth the powers of darkness, he begged for regeneration and empowerment. He gritted his teeth as the vile Seto walked around the pain, able to continue to speak "Consume your "Chosen" of Darkness, engulf my body and renew my strength so that I may kill those in your name and spread the darkness across the lands!"

From something that could only be described as something from a book or a movie, a black beam from the sky was fired on Seto, this dark energy, This darkness surged through his body, slowly healing the wound on his arm which in return slowly fixed his eye vision. Although he wouldn't be completely healed from this gift from the dark gods, it would stop the massive amount of blood he had lost before in the last couple of minutes. When the beast saw him in his sights, the beast wasted no time in charging Seto, he simply side stepped the beast effortlessly before using some inhuman strength to bring down his Odachi on the beast, impaling it, Seeing the beast wounded with blood only encouraged vile Seto to laugh, enjoying to see the beast wounded.

  18. As he finished his move and took to the ground; exhausted. He'd have little time to rest before taking off once more on foot. Fighting the beast with trivial moves, it seemed his team mate was finally done resting as the figure seemed to manifest some newfound power; one he'd yet to show case. Eyes fixated on the combat he'd turn to relax. The bears health slowly dropping by the moment as it's bleeding effect seemed to remove a small portion of health a total of 4% before the mage had a chance to strike once more; using his hydromancy in combination with his aeromacny, "Electro Aqua." he'd shouted as the water spun up on the bear before an electrical discharge came forth arcing at the best; the range medium would stun lock the bear for the male to finish it off as he fell to his knees as he shifted his gaze to look at the other; at least this was the hope.
    -----------------------------------
Once the beast was slain the mage would remain resting upon the ground, his mana low. Given these factors, he would pop a simple Elixir to recover some mana over the next few minutes Eyes shifting he'd look to the male, "Well we found the cave now what's next?" With all the commotion and such he'd forgotten their entire goal; too exhausted to raise the menu at least for now. Resting he'd slowly get up and walk over towards the cave, "Think there is anything worth raiding. Also...what kind of magic was that blood magic?" he asked curiously, not judging just trying to learn all he could; a menu popping up as he prepared to take down more notes on his ally. Waiting for the other t take the lead he was too tired and still healing up both physically and magical wise, "So...Seto, ready to wrap up this mission?" he'd ask curiously his body nearing its limits. He was ready to hit the nearest inn and crash. The exhaustion was far greater than he'd anticipating.

  22. Seto tilted his head when he heard Daisuke shout out "Electro Aqua", another spell he had up his sleeve. Water poured onto the beast before a discharged electrocuted the beast, stunning him which would make him easy prey. He thought quickly to himself, there were many options on how he wanted to finish the beast off, yet was only one attack he could think of that would be "fun", that would in the form of tearing the beast everywhere. As Seto came at the beast with his Odachi, the momentum of his charge would put tremendous G's into the blade, pulling his blade forward, he leaped into the air, narrowly dodging the beast's claw's right before the long blade of his Odachi slammed into its spin, impaling deep. The Cold steel passed into the beast as it passed through its bone and into its flesh, causing the beast to roar out in agony and anger as it laid there dying with blood starting to seep the ground where it laid. Stepping closer on the beast's back, Seto pushed the blade in further into the beast's body, causing, even more, pain to the beast.

"You will die in your puddle of blood beast, enjoy laugh as long as you can wuhahahahaha"

Seto laughed at the bear, enjoying it's suffering as the blood began spilling out from the bear's mouth He laid his face near the beast's face, only inches away when he grabbed the hilt and began turning the blade around in the beast's body, causing the beast to groan in pain more as it continued to lay there dying. Walking on the beast again, he grabbed the hilt of the blade and quickly ripped it out before jumping off the beast before walking away only for Daisuke ask what was after the quest? He hadn't given it any thought when asked him another question this time about his magic which even more apparent when he opened his UI to take notes

"What is it you ask? That's like asking what empowers a Fiend Knight....The darkness is my ally when I awaken when I take control, that other fool isn't capable of using the darkness for himself. I will not say more."

  26. With the bear slain the duo would be able to clear out the cave. But before they could do that they'd need to be able to get into the cave, yet for whatever reason, the cave appeared to be blocked off during the middle of combat; somewhere between their attacks and the madness which ensued it appears that the cave had collapsed on itself; a cave in. Thus the main entrance seemed blocked. There were two options, continue on that way or dig their way through. However, most who knew anything about caves would know the latter could be extremely dangerous as the instability which caused the cave in; would only be further exacerbated. None the less he'd walk over and rest on a fallen rock tapping it with his staff. "well the damn things shut off, we can dig it out, which I don't recommend or rest up and see if we can find another entrance to this bad boy, it's not uncommon for caves to have tunnel systems and multiple ways in. But in all honesty, sitting and talking a bit while we recover might be best." he said some simply resting upon the rock.

As his attention shifted as he tried to close his eyes and meditate he'd part his lips, "So you are a dark mage at heart then, or whatever you call this fiend Knight. Interesting. I've taken up the calling of a storm mage. I haven't decided on which spell to try to master next, but I do know I'd like to learn a new skill sooner than later." he'd say as his eyes remained closed and he simply took in deep breaths calming and relaxing his body, "But I must know. How did you manage to steal health from the bear so easily, what magic was it?" he asked opening his eyes, was he able to use blood magic like the mages that destroyed that one area in the game. He was not opposed to such powers as he found that any power gain was good enough for him. Eyes closing once more his lips would flap.

"So, if we are to train further, perhaps we might spend a brief time grabbing some food to eat; unless you brought some with you. I feel our hunger meter low as well as water. But the latter is easy to solve given that pond before us. However, we are going to need to start a fire to boil the water first at the very least; with the realism to this game knowing our luck we drink it raw and get the runs. Gonna be hard to farm experience if you shitting yourself. Might deter monsters, but also end this party." he'd say with a chuckle as he then looked over to the male, "So shall we take care of our stats first, which would you prefer to fetch food or water?"

he'd offer the male before rising to his feet slowly smiling as he walked over to the water; either choice was simple for him. Sticking the staff into the water he'd charge the energy in it slowly. "Maybe I best take care of both, think you could fetch sticks and start up the fire?" he said as he eventually let the discharge of electricity take over shocking whatever was nearby; some fish. Gathering them he'd prepare to head over to his ally. His plan for water being his magic; as it should be viable and pure at the least; if not he could boil it to ensure their safety. This is assuming it would be required to begin with, "So how goes the fire Seto?" he'd say some the fish in his arms.

"Ready to Skewer these bad boys and start eating. If you got a canteen I think I can fill up some water for us using magic. Boil it over the fire if we need too."He'd say shrugging as he places the fish on rocks, "So, the question now remains. Can you gut these things, I have no blade..." he said laughing a bit as the male soon began to charge up his staff some pouring out some water into a canteen for him, before looking to the male offering him some water; his staff still running as small stream off of it to clean the fish of blood and cuts had he cut them up.

    @Seto Kurama

  27. Seto still felt the rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins, he was still more pumped than anything from just shoving his blade into a beast that was at least entertaining to kill, he secretly wished there were more of them although his other half thought he was crazy. This vile side just couldn't help, he enjoyed the thrill of battle and to watch those weak be crushed by those in power, to see a river of blood made out of purpose was a beautiful thing and this bear was a good start, having made a mess all around the area the three had fought in. Seto was in his own little world when he heard the voice of a man, turning his head showed Daisuke! Seto had zoomed out so much he had forgotten about the mage he had teamed up with.....well technically the other Seto teamed up with him. He didn't really want to team up with him but the idea of something being a challenge in the cave enticed him to work with Daisuke for now. "Dark Mage?...don't make me laugh, Fiend Knight is a class of warrior, the anti-thesis of Paladins so to say. It is true we empower ourselves through the use of forbidden dark magic few can control but being warriors first, we excel in physical combat. We allow the darkness to take over so we may use it as a weapon, The Darkness in itself is a not direct weapon, anyone who thinks that way is a fool."
Seto then went silent for a few moments to think, sitting down on the ground to meditate for a few minutes, eventually, his ally spoke up again, this time what power he used to crush the bear. That was a stupid question indeed to ask, he saw it with his own eyes, he even explained himself yet he was asking. At least at the bit though, he was being entertained by such stupidy as he sat in silence. Perhaps....he could attain a new minion for the mistress, after all she wanted all the people she could get her hands on this early in her plan.
"Fool, I am a Fiend Knight, I used the power of Darkness itself to guide my blade. After taking control from that "Idiotic Fool" who couldn't battle well, I called forth the GODS of darkness to empower me, to heal my flesh so I carve a bloody path in their names and I did. Recovering from my wounds I killed that beast using this Blade that has killed many from farmers to greater deamons all in the name of the Darkness. You desire power? The path of darkness is that key IF you are strong."

Suddenly Seto fell to the floor after he was done speaking, laying his hands on his head, covering his face, the sudden urge began again. At first, it started to pick away at him then it felt as he was being punched in the gut then after a few moments, the pain in his head grew and grew until his body felt as if it was being ripped in half. Falling on the ground, Seto snapped mentally in silence, going unconscious for nearly ten minutes before waking up with a headache, returning to normal. he looked around rapidly to see if the situation was safe, the last thing he remembers was being thrown into a river with a bear! scanning again, he recognized the corpse of the beast and noticed it's large wound caused by a blade, upon close inspection he realized his blade killed the beast, he knew at that point his other side must have taken over, it would be the only reason why his wounds were mostly healed. Seeing him up and about, Daisuke approached him about what to do next and to grab food, feeling the rumbles of his stomach he couldn't agree more with him.

"I agree, we should make a camp to eat, This bear carcass is right here, it will provide food for us since we just killed it. Having been used to hunting before for my wife, give me some time with a fire going and well be good to go later. As for the water itself, the water probably fine considering there no industry here."

He nodded at his partner as the two had come up with a plan, walking out of view into the edge of the forest, Seto spent the next thirty minutes in the forest, tending through the dirt and mud looking for any large branches he could find in his path. Settling for nearly two dozen branches he came back to their makeshift map with two hands full of branches ranging from a foot to three feet. Snapping the bigger ones to match those that were a foot long, Seto took his time building a cabin like pit, essentially build a square building four or five rows until it was high enough while still stable for cooking. Just as he was finishing up on the fire, he heard his ally ask about the fire, well it was done after all so it was all good, the only thing left was to ignite the fire pit he just had built, he sometimes wished the game had items that could make a fire for you but nope. "It's done, am about to ignite to get it going, don't worry I got the things we need, it's a good thing we got trash tier items." Opening his UI, he swiped to his inventory and spawned in a flint in steel which he used to start the fire before going back to his inventory on his UI's inventory. Spawning in an old metal pot, it wasn't the greatest at its job but it would do, for now, it would have to. Carefully, Seto put the pot in the middle of the cabin fire, letting the metal heat just as Daisuke walked over with some fresh fish and asked if he could gut these fish, Seto was starting to wonder how Daisuke survived out on his own when adventuring. Seto Sighed before answering.
"Yeah, Don't worry about it, fish is pretty easy to gut." Opening his inventory again from his UI, he took out a skinning knife to cut the fish up. Using his bones, Seto delicately used the skinning knife to cut open the fish's stomach before picking away the bones around the spine in its stomach then the spines themselves, this took several minutes to do leaving a mess before he shoved a stick through their bodies and stacked them against the side of the metal pot that boiled the water from within.

  28. Listening to the male would simply stare at the other and shrug, his eyes shifting he would arch a brow at his words. Confused he would rub the back of his head. How? Why? he'd ask himself. Unsure he couldn't fathom how useful that could be for a warrior especially in this game, his burning of energy coupled with the extra burning of energy to use magic. It seemed redundant, but if he had been a berserker too it would make this entire logic even further crazy. "I guess It's just not my play style, but do be mindful, that any kind of dark magic comes at a cost; your sanity and your body over time I'm sure risk corruption if not may cause the NPC to look at you funny. But to each their own, I'm not against that magic, just never saw the benefit to it." He'd say before the male projected his thoughts and desire; calling himself or the other a fool. He was confused; but it wasn't long til he realized, perhaps he had Dissociative Identity Disorder. No, maybe he was just possessed by the game or something, could that happen? Watching the body fall he'd move closer to see what was up, after a bit of time he'd do what was needed. But thought it best not to mention it in case it was the former and not the latter.

As the male arched a brow and they discussed the two would diverge paths once more. Utilizing his magic he came back with fish and filled the pot his ally had brought about. He wasn't a cook nor really sure how to cook, in or out of the game. Being a streamer it was junk food, ramen or ordering his food. He wasn't the street smart or even all that practical. He was more a tech nerd and book guy. As he sat down he'd begin chopping up the veggies and cutting them; this part was easy. Tossing them in the pot he'd look to the male and tap his chin,"So, what's the deal with you and darkness, you seem rather consumed by it. Almost as if to say you are a slave to it." he asked curiously trying to better understand, "I mean you seem a bit different than you were early. Maybe I'm imagining it." he'd say watching the male do whatever it was that he did, "I've been lucky lately, running into folks who can do this. Living the NEET life is not an easy one. But it's a decent one. Although I doubt most consider streaming a job, it pays bills and such." he said shrugging as he sat down and ate a carrot.

  29. He could tell that Daisuke was either confused or intrigued, Seto couldn't blame him. Dark Magic while known was a rare type of magic that was frowned upon by NPC's and players to know due it's consuming and dangerous nature, the only exceptions to this was those who had a natural aptitude for dark magic who were considered resistant with some even immune to it's corrupting touch or at least what he was able to read about it. Seto was considered to be one of these "Chosen" but unlike the others, he never gained any training to use it, instead the only time he could use it was when he was put under dire circumstances then he able to use with now training although Seto had no idea why or how he could. Seto shrugged his shoulders as he sat at the fire with Daisuke looking at him, he figured he give some truth he desired.

"That is a tale......for another day...perhaps. All I can say for now is that my soul is split into two, one is grey.....the other is ebony, black as the night itself, both hold dynamic personalities completely different from the other...It would be best if you tried not to think about it too much, It's not something that can be understood without knowing the art itself."

Seto chuckled a bit at his partner's comment that he had been lucky to have run into people like him that could cook for him, Seto wished he could say the same for himself, for once meeting someone who could cook for him but nope, his luck was horrible. He always got people like Daisuke who couldn't cook, he didn't understand why learning to cook in game or in real life then apply that here in the game was difficult, sometimes Seto thought he better off being a chef, he make a large sum of money easily, at last he was a warrior at heart.

"I have streamed this game before using Radeon ReLive but the US' Department of Virtual Regulation and Safety or the DVRS had taken it down, after viewing it as pornography or something like that. All I did was go to an engagement party filled with NPC's. I did make money when I streamed the beta and I posted things far worse back then a damn engagement party."

Crossing his legs, Seto drew his attention to the fire, gazing upon the flames that flickered in the air, watching the corpse of the fish tilted darker the longer they sat on against the metal pot. Seto sat there silent, thinking about the beta of this world and how it was like. Back then when the beta was still around, the world was different.....far different the current build of this one, it was a lot alike Sword Art online, albeit a larger but unfinished, unpolished and filled to the brink of glitches and crashes, He hoped this build wouldn't turn into that at any point, the last he wants is to fall through the game world or something similar. Seto snapped back when he the cracking from the fire, looking down towards the fire, the fishes were done cooking having a light brownish, almost golden skin tone from being cooked. Reaching his arm out, he gently picked up one of the sticks containing the fish on and offered it to Daisuke before picking one up for himself and tearing into it.

"Looks like the fish is done cooking since their underbelly is a light brownish color, here have your first one. Fighting is hard work no matter who you are and this will hit the spot."
