    quest Dragonling Rescue

    Difficulty: Hard
    Party Size: 9
    Minimum: 200 words

    Location: Adecus Forest
    Season: Summer

Dragonlings… Dragonlings everywhere, on the ceiling, under the stairs, in the dungeon, on the roof, literally everywhere. It seemed that mishaps have befallen the Dragonling Nursery in Adecus. A group of Orlophos have broken into the nursery and has been devouring dragon eggs since the early morning.

Some of these Dragonlings hatched early because of the perceived danger. If they are not retrieved and put back into a magic incubator, they will die prematurely. Dragon incubation period is incredibly long and should not be disturbed.

The Nursery has requested for the Yulan Dragons’ help, thinking they were expert on Dragons because of their names.

Orlophos (reference) Nasty creatures that can blend into their environment, Orlophos is a dangerous type of pack predators that feed on Dragonkin. Their acidic tongue allows them to break down the hard scale that is a feature of all Dragonkins (including Wyverns). They typically search for and eat Dragonlings or corpses of Dragons after their breeding season.

Pre-maturely Hatched Dragonlings Some of these Dragonlings can fly and will try their best to hide from danger. Be careful in handling them, as they can split some magic despite their infancy. Try to calm them first before you handle them.

    Objectives

    • Kill 1-4 Orlophos
    • AND retrieve as many Dragonlings as you can and put them into a specially prepared incubator.

    DC 585

  2. Dragonlings, so many dragonlings!

    The Guild Mission Chat

It’s a brand new day, or rather, the same day for Astor since he hasn’t slept a wink from the police paperwork he had to sort through the night before. Stretching his arms upward, he let out a long yawn as he received a message from the Rorlais Nursery for Dragonlings. Apparently, they have been mistaken as a guild of dragon experts. The title of the letter “Dragon specialist help needed” almost made him toss it away, fortunately, the content of the letter caught his interest. Dragons were rather rare in the game, thus, it was strange for there to be a nursery for them.

While he realized that these creatures would cost the guild an arm and a leg to obtain, it was a good opportunity to visit them and see what dragons were like. Thus, he brought up his guild chat and sent a mass message to the entire guild, once he managed to get some semblance of organization going on, Astor headed directly for Adecus Forest, from which he was camping nearby.

When the blonde arrived at the massive fortress that was supposed to be the Nursery, he was baffled at the size of the building. Sure, it wasn’t likely to be a shack, but an entire forest with high-rise towers and nesting spaces for giant flying creatures? It certainly was incredible to look at. Although the area seemed rather tranquil and scenic on any normal day, today was anything but ordinary. There was a massive gape on the western side of the wall surrounding the inner buildings. It seemed that the Orlophos have broken through there. From what little he knows about that type of predators, he suspected they might have spread out to go feed on their own, so they don’t compete over food. Which will make it possible for the Yulan Dragons to come in and mow them down, one at a time.

When he heard the sound of wheels, he turned around and saw @Jack Anders and @The Admiral ; they were on a carriage no less… Astor had no idea what he was hoping for when The Admiral was involved, but regardless, a carriage may actually be really useful in this situation. Raising his arm above his head, Astor signaled his guild mates, so they know to slow the carriage down enough that he could hop on. With a little sprint, he managed to catch the side railing before he received a helping hand to get onto the wooden transportation.

“Woo! You guys made it just in time. I think the Orlophos are turning the nursery upside down, so we need to get through that gate and start mowing them down. I don’t think there’s anything we need to worry about other than killing as many of those dragon-eating scumbags as we can,” Astor spoke as he surveyed the fortress in the distance. It wasn’t looking good, considering the entirely fortress was starting to emit massive, skyward columns of smoke, signaling that the battle was escalating.

When the carriage rolled through the gate and into the fortress, the horrific sight of corroded rock-face building and corpses littering the ground. On the way, Astor was pretty sure they ran over the head of some unfortunate bastard that probably got melted by the invading monsters. “Damn, look at all these corpses and not a single dragonling egg or corpse, those things only eat Dragonkin, so damn nasty!” Astor shuddered.

He didn’t have much time to comment, though, considering the fact that their carriage happened upon one of the Orlophos hanging off a tower, digging into the gape with its massive arm and shoving crunchy dragon egg snacks into its mouth in a single gulp.

“Nahz agula ventis ofos meludiah aluda voh daleah!!” Astor immediately recited a spell in response. Moments later, a fire bolt shaped like a short spear began forming at the palm of his hands. Grabbing tightly onto the fiery shape, he unleased it on the Orlophos. It was a direct strike that sent the creature falling off the tower and onto the hard ground below. What happened after was up to the rest of his crew.

Turning himself to the opposite direction, Astor would throw another fire spear and a few fireballs, hoping to weaken as many Orlophos as he could see, intending on soften them up for everyone else.

  3. Alpha didn't take time to reply to the chat that had popped up on her screen. Astor, a man she had never once met before (and was their guild leader or something), gave a message about monsters attacking a dragonling nursery and if there was one thing Alpha didn't like, it was killing innocent animals (especially if they were just newborn babies or still curled up in their eggs). Unfortunately, she seemed a bit too late for the party as she saw Jack and two unfamiliar men at the scene. Pride filled her after she managed to not flinch at the sight of the oddly-placed carriage (why was there a carriage here?) and stop herself from greeting Jack and holding them all down with chatter. They had to protect the nursery and, with that thought, she turned to face the carnage that she was sure awaited her.

She was pleasantly surprised that there were dragon corpses lying around (a dark thought as human bodies were strewn all around like an exhibition, forcing her to gag but not feel as violently ill if it were some other more bestial creature). She didn't think too hard on it; not wanting to wonder where the eggs and dragons were most likely are at the moment. She'd cut the stomachs of those grotesque monsters if she had to; she'd rescue each and every dragonling here.

Resolved, she marched onward to look for survivors in the rubble, dimly noting a blonde man casting spells and throwing fiery spears at the mutated frog-like demons. As she ran past, she made sure to give him a thumbs up. Just desserts were an amazing thing to experience and see, especially since she couldn't be giving these monsters appropriate judgement. She somewhat understood why they did this; they needed nourishment and Alpha knew that all creatures consumed another. But condoning needless deaths, destruction, gluttony, and the murder of newborns? That was where she drew the line.

Her nose-dive into philosophy (resembling that of Aaron's own sudden bouts of serendipity about the world around him) was broken when she heard a mewling and, turning round the corner, noticed a few hatched dragonlings that looked little more than a few minutes old. They were premature births, Alpha could tell that much, and as they squirmed she knew she had to get them to safety. "There, there," she lowered her arms and opened her palms, hoping it would placate the dragons. She knelt down at the cowering clutch, ignoring the carnage and battle going on around her. "It's okay. You're okay..." she cooed in a soft tone, warm and smooth like powdered sugar on a fluffy cake. It took several minutes of a mixture of silence, light reassurances, and patience but they eventually warmed up the slightest bit.

Alpha slowly crawled over on all fours and scooped the bundle up into her arms. It was now that she noticed her companions who she had pushed to the back of her mind from the urgency of the situation. She looked around for a plan of action. She knew that there were incubators around here for the dragons but she didn't know exactly where and she looked down. "You guys find the incubators, okay? I'll go to the carriage."

As her menagerie nodded and split off, she cuddled the three hatchlings next to her, hoping her heat would keep them warm (not that it would be a problem with the smoke and fire brimming around). She took a deep breath, steeling her nerves, before looking resolutely at the carriage ahead. Jack and a few others were there and she immediately rushed forward, a tight grip on the children in her arms. "Jack!" she screamed the name of the only one here that was recognizable to her. "I got a few dragons over here!"

  4. The carriage had by necessity made a few detours in order to pick up Jack Anders and Lucia Mierz before turning its path northward to the great forests. The journey had been swift but for the most part dull as the Admiral rode up front and tried his best to steer things, leaving the two Guild Leaders he had unwittingly picked up to talk within the coach of the vehicle. Perhaps he'd get brownie points for collecting two such lofty figureheads within the organization? There wasn't much he wanted for of course, besides attention or better weapons and armor. And it was doubtful that they would reward him with full plate or magical maces, so praise it would have to be.

Still, such rewards would come later, if they came at all. For now his attention was focused upon the mission which, as they drew near, was proving to be a rather serious one. Pulling the carriage to a stop near Circus Girl, the Admiral jumped down and hitched the horses to a fence post to keep them from running off with the coach if they became scared. And that was a very likely thing, considering the thrashing monsters that ran about trying to devour the eggs, and the sudden barrage of flames that Astor sent cascading down upon them. As a matter of fact, Jack and Lucia were supposedly big spell casters as well. Out here, there was plenty line of sight to smite the creatures down, but if any were inside that fortress, the eggs within would need help that the mages could not provide. Walking to the side of the coach he tapped lightly by the paneless window to catch the attention of his guild masters, gesturing at the chaos.

"Not to presume to know better than you, but if either of you specializes in healing, it may be more useful to run around and heal the hatched dragonlings to make sure they're okay, while the other assists Astor. I'm going to run into the fortress and fight any of the creatures that are there in closer quarters, outside your lines of sight."

It hadn't been up for debate and he did not pause to get permission or hear what they wished to have done; if they wanted a change of plans, they could very well message him that information. Instead, there was no time to waste in helping if this mission was going to get done both fast and effective. Sprinting full force across the fields of grass that made up the outskirts of the nursery, the Admiral came within spitting distance of the Circus Girl and smiled at her as he leapt over a fence, shouting in her direction. In a Brooklyn accent, no less.

    "YAAAAAAAAAAARH, MATEY!"

It was very likely anyone else in the guild would be confused, but she was someone with whom he had worked once before and quite briefly. He had more or less spent the entire mission doing pirate talk in the worst possible fake Brooklyn voice he could muster, which had all the charm and pleasantry of gargling petrol for those that heard it. Still, it amused the absolute hell out of the self proclaimed berserker bard who ran straight up to a broken down doorway and charged within the building. Smoke filled the air and immediately his temperature meter changed and pinged danger, as the air was hot with smoke. Probably Astor's spells weren't helping that much, but the eggs would definitely survive the heat. He only had to worry about himself not making it. Moving through the halls, he examined room after room he came across, contented to see that several had not been breached and that eggs were safely shelved and nested within. A body here and there marked a caretaker or a guard, and for one horrifying moment he thought he spotted Enigma buried under some fallen rubble. But it only turned out to be a court jester, so he moved on without concern as nothing of import was lost to the world.

Rounding a corner, he saw the rear end of one of the bleh-bleh-blah creatures he wasn't going to bother pronouncing anytime soon. Ovipositor? Whatever, it sounded close enough. Spinning his trusty rusty hammer and his incredible incredulous probably not a table leg in his hands, he began to run towards the beast and wail into it with his newly improved mastery over the weapons. It struck with impressive force and the creature snarled, turning to face him, and that's when he realized he was an idiot. The thing was not small by any loose application of the word, and its large tongue dripped a caustic spittle that he did not relish getting on his pretty new armor. Locking onto the Admiral with its milky white eyes, the creature let out a horrible croak-snarl sound he could not imagine was natural, and it lunged for him. The pair began to dance back and forth like a tonka toy and a bulldozer in an elegant waltz, where both dancers were drunk and the classical orchestra had been replaced by the Foggy Bottom Boys. It was not pretty. It was not elegant. And as the thing grabbed him by the waist and slammed him into the ceiling, he gave a huff and then a hearty laugh as he landed upon the floor.

Pulling himself up off of the ground, he laughed all the louder, letting bravado and bullshit drive away the fear by pretending he didn't feel any. He spat virtual blood at its virtual face, virtually finished with getting clobbered around by monsters because he had to serve as a tank and not an attacker. But now his weapon skills were vastly improved, and with a triumphant roar, he charged back at the beast, swinging wildly as the berserker ability began to kick in.
Quietly, he hoped that Roland or Noah would get there soon, since both appeared to be on the quest list and both were DPS that he was familiar with. It would also be equally nice if the mages outside didn't drop the fortress on his head, but that was for them to decide.

  5. Pushing through the underbrush, Roland rushed into the Acedus zone. Apparently, there was some guild mission on going that his interface kept spamming alerts about. "I know, I know.." Roland said as he closed the ever opening guild feed regarding the massacre. As near as he could tell there was some dragon hatchery that was being attacked by something ugly. Astor had been the first on the scene followed by Admiral and Jack on a carriage. Alpha had made an appearance as well, and it was supposed to be a chaotic mess. Unfourtantly, Roland was nowhere nearby when the guild was preparing to leave. It was his fault when he had been messaged first regarding the mission he simply said he would help without bothering to read anything else about it. Meaning when the guild chat began to rant about the proceedings Roland was knee deep in a keg in a small city a few miles from Stockbon. After splashing his face with water, he headed out as he tried to ignore the drunken status effect in the top right-hand corner of his interface.

Luckily, there was a path that took him from the small hamlet directly to the hatchery, and within a few moments of travel, after the initial assault began, Roland arrived at the outskirts of the fortress. "What kind of hatchery is this?!" Roland called out to no one in particular, "It's huge!" The sheer size and scale of the building baffled him, why would a hatchery need an entire castle? It didn't make sense dragons, while interesting was just creatures after all, and who could take care of so many in this place? The thought occurred to him that whatever staff had been working here was surely dead due to the initial assault. Shaking the thought from his mind Roland pushed forward through a giant hole in the western wall, spotting a small group of guild mates already in battle. It had seemed that Astor had knocked one of the disgusting creatures off a tower, while Admiral was busy trying to beat another into submission. They stood nearby an out of place carriage that he had heard they used to arrive in. "Must be nice to live in that kind of luxury." Roland thought idly wondering if he had been unwise to donate his gold to the guild after all.

Unsheathing both his blades Roland strode forward towards the two as he tried to assess the situation. He tried to ignore the threat of the monsters for a moment as he considered the massive damage around them, it had seemed the grotesque creatures had been hard at work destroying every readily available nook and cranny in a hunt for the variety of Dragonling that scattered around the area. Speaking of which, the number of dragon eggs boggled Roland's mind. Simply put there were far too many to count, their numbers edging towards the hundreds, and that was just what was in plain sight outside of the castle. Granted a good number of them were smashed into or had hatched prematurely, and there was no telling how many had been there before the assault. In the corner of his eye, Roland spotted some malformed dragonlings running around frantically trying to escape the immediate vicinity. He turned to help them but noticed Alpha was already in the process of calming them down. The girl did seem to have a way with animals.

"She can handle them..." thought Roland as he turned back to the monsters at hand, his skills were better suited for battle. So he finally turned a piercing gaze to the two beasts. They were far larger than Roland had anticipated as they easily eclipsed even Admiral's considerable girth. If Roland didn't know better, he'd expect the creature to have come from the bottom of the ocean with its large milky eyes, and long pronounced teeth, even their oddly formed hands reminded him of an axolotl's only with claws. Perhaps they were mostly a subterranean creature seeing as their leathery skin seemed to have a natural pigment of gray but shifted quickly as they moved around matching the colors behind him. Out of all the monster's features what was most worrisome was its elongated tongue that it swung around like a ball and chain. It was covered in a corrosive acid that burned the ground as it dripped off of it. Roland had no doubt it would liquid would quickly melt through his weapons, or even worse his armor.

Roland realized quite suddenly that he had merely been standing, watching, the fight before him from quite some time, cursing his inebriation he forced himself to stop his mental hijinks and pushed forward. Quickly he brandished his swords to either side of him, heading to the nearest Orlophos, which happened to be the one Astor had knocked of the tower earlier. It had recovered from the attack and was shaking off the dizziness as Roland approached, he had wasted too much precious time. Roland darted forward towards its chest only to be stopped short by a massive paw swiped in his direction. Spinning out of its way, Roland, tried to change his course, but the beast anticipated the maneuver spitting a glob of acid in his direction, nailing the swordsman in the shoulder, "ARGGgH!" Roland cried in pain as he wheeled out of the beast's range. As he had expected the creature's venom began to tear away at the leather, burning his flesh. Luckily the envenomed breast plate he wore seemed to be somewhat resistant to the effects as it quickly began to stop sizzling with only minor damage. Angered Roland sprinted forth, this time using his blade to parry a lazy paw swipe in his direction, before plunging a second forward directly into the beast's milky eye. The monster recoiled instantly roaring in pain, as it danced away from Roland, whose shoulder now burned worse than before. Roland backed off sheathing a blade as he tried to wipe down his wound, it seemed he might be out of commission rather quickly here after all....

  6. Noah found himself walking through Adecus forest minding his own business more or less. He playfully tossed an apple into the air only to catch it back in his hand and take a small bite of it. As he walked under the shade of the trees A message popped up in his palm front from his guild master. It seemed that there had been an attack on some nursery nearby and he was trying to gather as many of the guild members there to suppress it. Not only being curious by this attack on a nursery for dragons, but also was curious to see who is film guild mates were in my only a handful since he had joined at the dragons and was eager to meet more. He toss the Apple once more into the air catching it and taking a larger bite before the start of the on the ground nearby his feet. Already being in the vicinity it would not take him long but thanks to his rogue abilities he would run as fast as he is humanly possible to get to the location. Upon arrival you will notice a large claim of smoke coming from what appeared to be a massive fortress of some sorts, causing him to speculate that this was indeed the nursery.

Upon getting closer to the nursery a distinctive smell filled that was nose. It was the smell of burning flesh, be this human or else he was yet to discover. Upon smelling the burning flesh know was pace involved until full-blown sprint towards the main gates. As he ran up on the fortress he noticed of keeping hole on the side perhaps this is where whatever was attacking the dragons and enter from. Smoke-filled the interior of the fortress causing him for a moment to be disoriented, only for his eyes to focus on a few figures before him. The first one and probably the most obvious one out of the figures was a golden haired man he was launching blast of fire from his palms and to all different directions, attacking these creatures that appear to be frog like, that had gathered around the fortress. No stood there for a moment trying to decide what to do that's when a bloody scream of a familiar voice fill the air around him. He saw the Admiral running full sprint towards some building while that you had had called relations in the sewers he knew at least he was somebody he could rely on when I came to battle.

It's in that another figure it was also in the courtyard a slender man well no I had not recognize the man's face he did recognize the name the Hubbard by the man as a person that had purchased from that was shop several times. Excited to see his leather armor and what actual combat of Rush fell over Noah perhaps he tooted and join the fray. That we had poor armor that he had only started with his blade was still considered decent in today's times and a skill that when his sword fighting and his rogue skills did make him an okay fighter, one that was nimble not hardy. His fingers it's to drawl is blade enjoying the battle but he noticed a small girl caring for what appeared to be premature babies. He quickly realize that if the baby had not gotten into an incubator or some kind of medical care in the nearby future that they will most likely die and he would hate to see the angry dragon parent find their dead babies courts on the ground. He bit his lip trying to decide to go out and join the battle go help with the babies.

Judging that there was more fires right now and there was people to care of the babies no opted to go help small girl take care of the dragon hatchlings. Though he would keep an eye out for any of these frogs like creatures dissing to be praying on them if I go onto scuffle now at Shirley's sacrifice his life for that the hatchlings. No I ran over to the small girl that she's been yelling for no man named Jack. “I'm not Jack, but let me help you! These babies need to get out of the carnage.” no frantically looked around the smoke filled see if you can spot any kind of structure that might keep them in the hatchling safe. He spotted a little appear to be a rather study structure off to the east side of where that the two of them were standing so far they're in denial appear to be too much damage done to that building in a large Archway late to the interior of it. It was roughly about 20 m are so way not a far stretch but I am could be at prove to be a dangerous one if they were caring these hatchlings ideally they would find a third person that carry the third baby so that each one could protect an individual. He pointed to the building to get the girls attention as he will holler at her trying to make his voice be heard over the sound of the destruction around them. “Perhaps we should try to get them over there in that building. It might be safer for them there!”. He'd await her’s or another's orders to start the moving of the babies or to try and protect them right here.

  7. Despite all of the chaos that had ensued, Jack remained stationary in his current position. Sitting comfortably on the carriage’s rooftop, the man simply surveyed his surrounding area while comprehending the battlefield’s current flow. Though a somewhat boring task, it was easy enough to understand what the dark haired man was up to with a bit of perception. There appeared to be a large and visible sign placed at his side with an arrow pointing to the left and one to the right.

    <--SPEED BUFF | DMG BUFF -->

Considering the verbiage on the board, the man’s intentions were straight forward. Serving primarily as a buff bot, he’d greet any straggling members with a hearty wave and a boon for their status bar. Perhaps the man’s course of action wasn’t the most invigorating or exciting of options… but it was a necessary one. To add onto that, he’d also quickly flip through the game’s interface, sending out rapid invites to anyone who had decided on attending. It was a guild event after all. Partying up to form a larger raid would serve immensely useful, especially since health and energy bars would become immediately more visible and accessible.

Aside from that, he’d simply continue to guide the flow of battle through voice communication and long distance support spells from just within the gate’s threshold. Quickly noticing that Roland had sustained damage, a blob of holy energy would be sent flying directly at the man’s torso, washing over him with a numbing and easing effect as his health bar quickly replenished. A casual thumbs up was given towards the man should he turn to look as Jack continued to address the rest of their raid party.

“Keep an eye out for the acid globs! They seem telegraphed… probably interruptible with some CC to the gut?”

  8. Lucia chuckled with a sweet smile as they rode the carriage forward, letting Admiral take care of the piloting process, Lucia was merely along for the ride like Jack. Her role however was a little different from the others as she stood up in her seat from time to time to get a better look at what was going on. If Jack was the buff bot, Lucia served the role as the Heal bot. Rapidly forming hand gestures with her right hand, she would gesture towards a straggling dragonling who was bleeding out or suffering from it's premature status. The gestures engraving softly glowing lavender lights upon their bodies with every swipe of her hand healing them slowly but steadily supporting their life with small but consistent streams of holy energy. She cast Regen stylized healing spells as rapidly as possible, paying little attention to her rapidly falling energy clearly viewing it as something that was hardly a problem.

Even those guild mates of her that suffered damage from time to time would receive a sudden lavender glyph upon their body from her hand gestures that would fight back the acid damage before slowly sealing their wounds and injuries with an itchy feeling. The rot and acid was nothing new, Lucia's own damage and combat type was through acid and corrosion damage after all. Few would know acid damage better then her who used it as her primary means of attack. She had no problems dolling out the solution as rapidly as possible to try to stop the hemorrhaging nursery from withering away.

When Jack also seemed on the verge of losing his EN from buffing, she'd even gesture towards him at her side trying to place a hand on his shoulder from time to time to make sure he had enough to keep supporting as well. Cutting her own energy further didn't bother her much, largely because every time she was low a Malefiic spell would reach out towards the nearest prey being dealt with and pull energy from it's body making it sluggish while keeping her own reserves at a manageable level. She wouldn't be able to absorb enough EN to persistently cast spells, but she was certain that her EN wouldn't break before these creatures were dealt with.

  10. Kessler had been strolling through the nursery during his off time. The reason? Largely because he was looking for adequate subordinates. He was on the verge of a qualitative jump in power, and wanted to make sure he had a good line up of possibilities opened. Seeing those around him though, he felt they were somewhat lacking. Kessler wanted something intelligent and crafty, a humanoid species would be perfect, but seeing the little ones around him, while he didn't oppose or despise them, he groaned internally believing that they weren't up to his standards. They weren't the crafty type pure and simple.

In the end, when the chaos began, Kessler had heard the violence and the sounds of squeals and cries from the dragonlings. Almost immediately his brows furrowed with discomfort, even if the dragonlings weren't his type of subordinate, they were still a member of his family, they were his boys in one way or another. Throughout all of his life, from childhood to parole to present, he'd grown up believing in the strength and bond of the family he made for himself, real world or virtual didn't matter, he would support his fam as he'd always done.

Charging from his location, step after step the tattoos along his arms and back began to glow brighter until they shined through his shirt. Growing brighter and brighter as the symbols and lines burned into his skin went from brown to a searing orange the earth beneath his feet would grab onto him, every step, soil and stone gripped his form until it became armor. A vicious demonic savage took shape as it wrapped around him creating a chiseled image of an armored titan with a vicious looking face. Kessler's eyes stared out from it's mouth peering out from between it's twisted teeth as he joined the conflict.

The creatures were trying to dig into the nests where ever they were found, but Kessler thrust his body into a small group he could only guess were the vanguard. Though he didn't have support at the moment acid wasn't something he feared as it painted his stone covered shape from their retaliation. It burned, the smell was terrible but his stone armor was thick, getting through it would take a great deal of time with acid alone as he swung his hammer into them blowing them off of their feet. What armor was chewed off by physical attacks made him frown, with a sharp cry the stones exploded in the creature's mouths or under their feet when they peeled it off of him. He tried to be conservative with his energy only using and covering his body when a great deal was exposed, but he raged with all of his physical prowess trying to smash those creatures into bloody pulp and mists of blood to hold them until his allies and guild mates arrived.

  11. Ju’s eyes were locked on the bright and rocky natural ceiling. Dim light rays tried its best to enter the small cave, barely illuminating the ground; an ocasional breeze cooled the cave to an almost perfect condition. With arms behind her head and legs crossed, her blue eyes scanned to her right, where her goblin companion seemed to be having his fun digging through an old chest with mostly useless or rotten objects.

“No matter how many of these useless chests you open, you seem to never give up. Is gold that important to you, Gobbu?” Huan-Xiang was met with a loud nasal shout as an answer.

“NONSSSSENSE, PINKY!” Clang, pling. The useless scrap hit the cavern and the metal-ish sound echoed throughout the small cave. “Lisssten, newcomer! Gold is anywer’! Any place! Even below rocksss!”.

Ju sighed in response and anything else the small greenish creature babbled afterwards quickly faded along with the constant clattering of metal hitting the ground. Ju’s eyes were heavy and her consciousness was slowly slipping away. Just when the thought of wanting to rest in a nice and comfy bed would be great, a system beep snapped the pink-haired girl back to reality.

“Oh. Something to do! I was getting bored... Upon appropriately gesturing to call on her system menus, Ju quickly swiped the options until she received the mission details from her guild mates. Luckily enough, they were close by. “ Gobbu, got some guild stuff to do. You do your thing and once you’re done with it get your ass back home, I don’t want a dead goblin, you hear me?!”

Before the goblin could answer her demands, Ju ran towards the coordinates given. She wasn’t a big shot in the guild, but she had to do her best to repay their kindness of giving a proper bed and a place to call home at least. Ju looked up to get a glimpse of the enormous hatchery in between the dense forest in fast motion. Within time, Ju managed to hear the sounds of explosion as the environment around her quickly began to change: crushed eggs and dead guards littered the way she took to reach her guild mates much to her dismay.

Once reaching her destination, Ju scanned the area while catching her breath for a few moments; Upon checking their situation, she managed to get a grasp of her guildmates’ positioning. Considering that there a few of them on the vanguard already and dragonling rescue and support were covered, her best position for now would be to make sure no orlothings could get close to the support and rescue team. Ju sighed, finally catching up her breath only to notice distortions in the air behind the support team – one of those things creeped closer and closer, ready to attack.

Of course they'd be attracted to the dragonling support group! When the pieces of the puzzle joined together on her mind, Ju sprinted towards the creature and jumped in the air hitting it with a knee kick, preventing its attempt at a pounce. The creature hit the tree with great force and got up in a sloppy, almost comical way from her surprise attack. Ju wasn’t that strong yet, much to her dismay; the creature was up and running in no time and it had a friend to duo with as well. Afterwards, a lot of punching, kicking, and wrestling ensued. With the help of her guild mates’s buffs and debuffs, as well as the occasional healing spell Ju managed to kill both Orlophos. Way too wasted to continue, she sat closer to a tree and kept her eyes wide open should another of those nasty things try and get closer to the guild’s support group.
