Baby Dire Wolf - A dire wolf found in Adecus Forest. Although its brethren are strong, it is still a pup and is medium-sized.

The day began with little festivity despite it being a special day for Alpha or, as her name was in the real world, Katherine Sutton. It wasn't anything as momentous as a birthday celebration nor was it near any special holiday such as Christmas or Valentine's. No, today would be the day she had graduated from monotonous high school and began her journey to becoming an independent adult. Or rather, she would've been if not for her rather clingy parents who'd shelter and smother her with pamphlets for continued education and the like. The days she's spent holed up in Terrasphere had been worryingly increasing and, with her parents gone for most of the day, her obsessive gaming habit went unchecked. As of thus, her parents had signed her up for a gamer's anonymous program (much to her displeasure). All in all, that was all it took for Alpha (or Katherine) to lock herself in her room, hastily put on her virtual reality headset, and find herself surrounded by the familiar sight of Adecus Forest and her animal companions.

"Hey there!" she smiled at the sight of her chattering friends that began to step on top of each other in an attempt to reach her. She still wasn't sure what they did or where they went whenever she was offline, but whenever she came back they acted like they hadn't seen her in decades. Terry was rubbing himself against her leg with Corn, once again, riding on top of him. Luna was positively bouncing, Juno perched herself onto her shoulder, and Fish wriggled his way to coil himself around her neck. She giggled at the sight before pushing Luna off of her after the rabbit got a bit too overzealous and excited and had decided that she was an appropriate trampoline. "I missed you guys too!" she squealed as Fish hissed, tickling the back of her ear and bringing her into a fit of giggles.

After this, she decided to take a look around the area to acquaint herself to where she spawned. Although she vaguely remembered journeying to Adecus Forest during her last session (which was a few days ago due to her parents restricting her internet access), she didn't remember what exactly she was supposed to be doing here or where, specifically, she was. Curious, she clenched her hand and released it, opening a familiar interface screen and, with a few swipes, she successfully navigated to the basics. Full health, full energy and, well, full everything. Now that her immediate needs were fulfilled, she lifted two fingers up onto her right temple and, squinting her eyes in concentration, she blinked and was visited by an entirely new sight than what she had seen seconds before. White letters shifted and formed words the longer she looked, although some items in her sight still had the mysterious '???' attribute to it. She could, however, see the location's name: The Elysian Sanctuary, a place which greatly resembled where she herself had obtained her fourth mastery underneath the druid.

"C'mon guys, let's go look around," she declared and, promptly, they all formed a neat tidy line (except the ones who were at home on her body) and followed as she led them deeper into the woods. It wasn't long before, after marveling at the scenic timber-trees and skittering wildlife, that she saw an out-of-place door that was formed on the bark of a tree trunk. She stared, trying to make sense of the peculiar entrance-way to somewhere she did not know. She shared a look with Terry and co., only to find that they were also just as confused as her. Without wasting another moment, she skipped to the place and examined the door's architecture with a close eye. The light seemed to pierce through the treetops of Adecus Forest and shined straight onto the door, illuminating the surrounding areas with an almost sacred light. Just as she was about to try to open it with one of the looped handles, however, she was startled by a sudden bark on either sides of her.

She jumped back, startled, and landed on her bottom to find two canines coated in a snowy coat staring straight at her. "Woah!" Alpha exclaimed, trying to catch her breath. They were stealthy and her menagerie immediately went on guard, a symphony of growls, hisses, squawks, and herbivore chatter erupting. She groaned, rubbing her back that ached somewhat from the fall. What was going on here? Why were there even white-colored wolves around here that seemed to be guarding some sort of secret door? She didn't even know that such wolves lived around here, having never encountered one whenever she passed by the forest. "Hey there," she said softly, reaching out a hand. She tried to be as non-threatening as possible and, gently with only the knowledge a beast-tamer may have, she gave a soft scratch on the bottom of the muzzle of the left-sided wolf. She grinned as it leaned into the touch yet remained stern in its position. It was actually kind of cute once you got used to the whole ninja gig they had going on with that surprise appearance of theirs.

  2. Having a rather bad day in the real world Donovan would clear his schedule and tell his receptionist he did not want to be bothered; yous see. Despite his hard efforts of helping to prove a man's innocence and taking nearly a month to do so, he'd finally won the case; but why was this so bad? Was he guilty, did he play on poor Donovan's emotions? No, it was the exact opposite. He truly was innocent but that wasn't how everyone saw it; the case drew up some really mixed feelings over in London. Such mixed feelings that the man upon exiting the courthouse for his freedom was gunned down; although rare and not common such events did occasionally happen. Sighing he'd look over towards the wall. His degree, his ability to save people. What did that matter when all it took was one asshole to undo all his hard work. As such he'd sigh stressed out and tired; a fresh set of clothes on as he had finished giving his account at the station turning over his prior clothes for evidence. The good new, the man who shot him had been arrested; but what was to stop that man from getting what he deserved. Let alone stopping his proper justice from being sentenced out over the years; surely he'd die in jail.

Fed up with the thought of the legal system and reality he'd turn open a draw and link up to his VR Device and enter the fantasy world of terrasphere. There Donovan could be anyone, could be the hero he sought out to be and if someone tried to take that to him; he, in turn, could dish out street justice. A desire he felt often with his job. None the less, the Live Action Roleplayer decided to once more join the realm of desire and log in. Once he did he'd arrive once more inside the forest; a warm smile passing as he turned to note a familiar face running about the hyper little treasure goblin he'd managed to befriend on his first day. Lips parting he'd laugh, "Hey Hobz, what you up to find any treasure for me today?" he'd ask not really caring just trying to be kind to his friend, you see the day they met he'd seen first hand how cruel humans could be to such a kind and gentle soul. The goblin had seen the human dropping his gold pouch, picking it up the creature ran up to the male tapping him with it; feeling something. Then seeing his gold in the creatures hand landed with a very assumed and bad outcome, yet had he not seen it myself he'd never believed it.

So rescuing the beast from the abusive humans and setting them straight the creature took a liking to him; whether it was because he was strong or powerful or whatever the case might be. He'd found not just some pet but a genuine friend. As the beast spat out incoherent words and jumped about excited he'd reach out accepting the gift; a small bag of coins perhaps a dozen or so. It was shortly after this he'd heard a voice not far off. Having no room to not be too careful. He'd drawn his bow and arrow slowly making his way towards the source of such a sound. Lips curlings he parted them only to shush his pet he'd soon raise his arrow around the corner and note the girl. Lowering it some as his eyes gazed upon the zoo befoe him. His eyes shifting to the two animals she'd found. Tiny little ninja pups; well technically dire wolves but cute none the less. A faint smile passed. "So you found some friends in the forest. Any beast tamer has my respect; it isn't easy to calm the soul of a beast to mend with your own. But you've one a find ob, any tips?" he'd ask somewhat jokingly as he walked over slowly with his goblin.

"The name's Morohtar and this is Hobz, the treasure goblin. Who might I have the pleasure of stumbling upon, and I don't mean just yourself. There is quite a large family with you. think you might introduce them?" he'd say as he walked over slowly placing his weapon upon his back and crouching over to keep a close eye on the wolf pups His palm reaching out slowly as to let it sniff him his body posture nonthreatening. His goal to earn it's trust if not let him pet it. With the goal aside he'd look up at the being before him "So human, what brings you into my forest. You don't seem to be some scum over hunting my friends down. Perhaps you are part of a scouting party; I've seen some humans use animals to help them, scout. I'd be careful this forest is a dangerous place.

  3. Alpha stared at the intruder. She found that she was doing quite a bit of staring recently but, as she gazed unblinkingly at the person, she couldn't help but feel a tad bit awkward. Despite the introduction, she had not heard a single clue as to the gender of the elf in front of her and, at a lost of how to address the person, she breathed and looked him in the eye, tilting her head up. The best thing to do in an embarrassing situation would be to pretend you weren't embarrassed, and Alpha just knows that her next words would make her want to dig a hole for herself. "Uh, hello miss!" she firmly decided. It was a fifty-fifty chance of getting it right and getting herself out of this sticky situation. She redirected her attention to the treasure goblin instead, hoping to distract herself. "Hello Hobz," she gave a nervous giggle, trying to give the miniature-sized goblin a pat on the head. She opened her arms wide, forgetting about the two dire wolves that were guarding the door. "This is Terry, Corn, Luna, Fish, and Juno!" she introduced, giving a dramatic bow and dab.

Just as she began to introduce her companions, however, one of the dire wolves gave a grunt. If Alpha was kidding herself, she could even interpret it as a strange sort of approval (despite the unlikeliness of it). Turning back to focus on the strange creatures and the mysterious door, she idly held a small conversation with Morohtar. "Oh, and my name's Alpha, short for Alphabet Chocolate! Nice to meet ya Morohtar!" she giggled at the name. It seemed like something out of a Power Rangers movie or one of those big bad villains on a cartoon made for a five-year-old. As she said that, she noticed something strange shift in the wolves' behavior and they seemed to edge further away from the door, growing more relaxed by the second without the immediate threat of attack. She smiled, reaching out to give them a pat once more (erupting jealous cries from her party of critters). "I have no idea why I'm in here! Just got on and here I am! What about you Morohtar?" she seemed oblivious to the extent of her butchery of the man's name. She tilted her head, expectant for an answer, yet was seemingly content with the mere act of petting the wild dire wolves for now. One of them even gave a pleased bark!

  4. As he analyzed the human child or short one. He'd look confused at her sudden silence until she called him miss. Rubbing the back of his head he'd laugh and blush some, "That is probably my fault, I am quite beautiful, but I am actually a male. So no harm there in the mistake, our race can be tricky unless you see us naked. But, don't worry I won't hold your ignorance against you. At least I'm a pretty girl right?" he teased trying his best to lighten the mood. His hands patting Hobz head as she greeted him as well a warm smile passed, "Actually Hobz is a girl...." he said as Hobz gave him a weird look, "What I'm not allowed to joke buddy? Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you, apparently, Hobz prefers to be associated with a male, although I wasn't aware they had gender for Goblins. Guess that's my own bias and ignorance showing." he said some bowing at both the girl and pet for forgiveness, "That aside...your family looks nice." he'd say as she named all of them then made a face."Fish, I don't see a fish, nor corn...am I to assume that they are these animals. I also happened to notice you are missing some names unless two of these animals aren't yours?" he'd say as he took note of her bow and dab.

"What...what is that?" he said shocked as he tried to replicate it failing on purpose, "This...what is this." he'd try to dab, perhaps playing on his childish side and make the child laugh, "Did I do that right...what is it called it seems, what do you humans call it; cool?" he asked again playing heavily in his role of an ignorant elf. As she spoke he'd pay attention to each of them and try to figure which was, "Wait is that one corn...it looks like a snake. No that's fish? Man you humans are so confusing, your language changes so often." he said chuckling before trying to dab, a bit frustrated he couldn't do it. "This technique must take many years to master. But I'll do it, then upon my victory, I shall show off this skill. Yes, I shall make this my victory pose." he'd say dabbing correctly this time only to raise his head up upon the grunting noise, "What? was that the dire wolf?" he asked confused at the noise as he then only now noticed the door, "Oh a door of interest. What do you think inside?" he'd then look confused as she spoke about her name, "Oh your name is Alphabet, is that not a series of written letter for your speech and chocolate. Is that not some item you craft to eat, humans are always so confusing. Alpha, that seems more suitable." Nodding

"Alpha...I like this short and sweet like you. Get it, cuz you are short, it's short for alphabet and you're sweet like the chocolate. I think I've made a funny, but I'm not sure how these work with humans" he'd say chuckling to himself walking over and crouching down to the dire wolf. His goblin running off to the door as it tried to examine and sniff around, his body bouncing about as he began to grunt and make noises pointing, "What is it Hobz, is it something inside worth while, a treasure?" he'd ask hearing a growl, "Oh, so these dire wolves are some sort of guard dogs?" He asked some noting her explanation to his answer, "Well Hobz has been searching for goods, often finds me stuff to use later or trade, we came this way because he found something but that door has him going wild." he said some laughing, "My name means Dark warrior, although I'm not evil. To be honest, I was told it was a translation of my name in another life time." he said hinting at his real life name Donovan, had she knew elf."Also, it's pronounced, More-Oh-Tahr. But that's not as important."

Calling over the goblin to him so the wolves might be at ease. He too would make his way over to the other wolf, hand slowly extending out to let it sniff him; had it been kind enough he'd attempt to pet and smile, "She's a cute one huh." he said as he then opened his menu with the other as he massaged behind the ear of the pup before pulling out some uncooked meat from his inventory. Offering her a piece he'd give the other piece to the other wolf; "There now they won't fight." he thought as he pulled his hand back to let them eat and not attacked now there was food; knowing it was the wiser choice. Turning his back he'd look to her and the pets, "So these guys hungry or no? I got some more meat and veggies in my bag; I tend to collect things." he'd say offering her to see his inventory to help feed her pets, had that discussion and event pass he'd give them whatever she allowed and then turned to the door and his goblin tugging at his leg and pointing, "I know...we can look into it. Lets let everyone finish eating, here...an apple." he said handing it to him as he cheered and began to eat it wildly.

  5. Alpha giggled at the man's antics and was highly amused by the situation. Despite being confused about the man's gender, he took no offense to that and it made Alpha give a sigh of relief. His youthful appearance contrasted the dialogue he presented himself with, reminding Alpha of one of those characters from a film in the 1950's that her parents always forced her to watch in the name of continued education. "How old are you, two hundred and fifty?!" she joked, unaware that the man standing in front of her was, indeed, of that age. "You look way younger to be honest, it's weird!" the irony of that statement was lost on her.

She smiled as she watched the man pet and feed the gigantic dire wolves but, in spite of her desire to remain idle in the peaceful scene, she was hit with a sudden burst of curiosity. What was behind the door that glimmered underneath the sun's embrace? Alpha had no idea and that question irked her and distracted her from her conversation with the man. Ignoring his words, she felt her body moved like it was possessed and, before she knew it, her hands reached for the rounded loops that were connected to the door and pulled. What she saw shocked her.

"Who puts a puppy in a tree?!" she exclaimed, slamming her head against the timber. Why?!

  6. A slight smile passed as the young child asked him his age, "My My my, it's not nice to ask a lady her age. Thankfully I'm no lady." he teased as he tapped his chin thinking on this for a moment. Eyes shifting he'd start to count on his fingers, "Well yes, i'm roughly two hundred and fifty, if we are talking human years, in elven years I'm probably closer to twenty-one. Yes, that sounds about right, which might explain my youthful look. Although to be fair my kind lives to be around a thousand, we can live longer but by that point, we've been around long enough to return to be reborn again. There also may be some magic's some feel less comfortable to get to that point in age; over all, I'm about 1/4 of the way through what is a traditional life span. But, as a hunter that is more like halfway as we don't seem to live as long. But that varies on the hunter; imagine the creatures we face daily. Coupled with humans who for some reason slay my mind on sight half the time, deforestation and disease. Add a bit of war, so we then are conscripted and you get the average life span of warriors around five hundred years tops." he said some folding his arms over his chest. "Well I appreciate your words, and I'm honored you find me attractive your but a mere baby to me so I could never M'lady." he said teasing as he ruffled her hair."but your advances are flattering I promise, If I have a child we can arrange a marriage for you." he would chuckle some and shake his head before turning to the wolves.

As he then went on his way to feed the beast he'd smile warmly, it was nice to kind as much and possibly make new friends. He'd been meaning to tame something a while back. Lips curling into a grin he'd soon pet their heads and start to feed each one what was available in his possession. Having the female ignore his inquiries soon lead him to turn his attention to her; drawn to the door like a bad decision in life to a child; especially in a candy store. Smiling he'd shake his head, "Curiosity killed the cat, but to be honest, is that cat dead or alive, you'll never know til you open the door." Upon her words exchange and the wolves shifting their attention to the duo as she opened the door, it would appear she some how triggered their aggression. The two friendly wolves began to growl angrily and seemed aggroed on the female, perhaps the puppy was their baby or something. No real clue; aside from crossing some line of the door they were guarding. Lips parting he'd draw his bow swift pointing the arrow at the beast, "Can you fight child, I do not wish to put you into this position but I'd suggest you shut that door and back away slowly, they might back off but if not we must slay the dire wolf. No choice now, they seem to want blood." he'd say as he turned the bow to take aim at its throat

The arrow would sail through the air as it struck one of the two wolves. His bow raising up fast to block the incoming bite; using his strength to force it back as he struck down hard with the edge; cutting into it some as he kicked hard onto to arrow forcing the arrow down hard into the beast; whining heard as the other leaped forth at the girl. Aiming at her jugular she'd have little time to react; but her pets, perhaps they'd help assist her. As he moved back he'd swiftly draw a second arrow and fire it off at the beast; striking its hind leg sending it's strike off course some into the tree. Now both wolves locked their attention on him. His pet goblin in a viable stance he'd sneak up behind the wolf and slam down on it heavily with its bag of goodies. A heavy sack of junk. "No Hobz..." he'd shout as he quickly fired his third arrow to help keep aggro off of him as the second wolf charged forth at him.

A deep sigh passing he'd quickly move his body; his arm grabbed by the beasts maw; biting down and thrashing about. Moving with the beast as to avoid heavy damage to the arm instead of fighting against it he'd pull out an arrow in his hand before stabbing it deep into the beasts; eye and pulling back as it yelped. His bow in hand he'd grab his arm with his free hand and grunt; its pain was notable, even for just a game. "Yo Pipsqueak, how are you doing?" he'd say lowering his stance to try and keep himself in an intimidating stance and a good one to dodge roll with the two wolves. The charge coming as he jumped left and turned around grabbing the beast by its neck to wrestle it some choking it with the bow, "Any help would be nice..." he said with a smile despite the pain and the beast bucking him about; the other ready to strike again. No rest for the wicked.

Alpha gritted her teeth as the wolves snarled, tense upon her opening the door. She flinched at the nasty glare they directed to her and, upon looking at Morohtar, found that he had come to the conclusion that their encounter necessitated a fight. Although she wasn't trigger-happy when it came to attacking the wildlife, she had known that Morohtar was a man of nature. Despite meeting only for a short-while, she felt she understood part of his philosophy and felt she could somewhat trust the man's lead. She, herself, wasn't one to take leadership anyway and, despite her frequent activism for the protection of wild species, knew that there would be no way to calm the dire wolves. They were righteously angry and Alpha regretted her curiosity ever led her to open the door in the first place. Misery drowned her. It was her fault that they had to fight those kindred creatures.

Regardless of her own personal feelings, there would be no way to salvage their relationship with the wolves nor their lives if they did not fight. Thus, with a heavy heart, she remained silent and picked up her blade. With practiced ease, she navigated through her interface and, landing on the spell menu, quickly scrolled through the spells until she found an appropriate buff for her dagger. She turned away as Morohtar's arrow pierced one of the wolves' eye and the other was injured by the Gold Goblin's bag and Morohtar's own flurry of arrows. She bit her lip as the game forced her to chant a series of nonsensical words through her own tongue and lips.

"Accrescere!" her long-winded chant ended with those syllables and, instantly, a green spiraling magic started at her shoulder and winded its way down with a twirl, encircling her weapon before snapping tight like a rubber band, enveloping her weapon of choice with a light green aura. It glowed with a deceptive calm and, only gesturing for her companions to make a move, she let Fish funnel off her body and felt Juno fly from her head; she saw Corn spiked and ready with Luna ready to throw him as a projectile (as was their plan, being the weaker ones of the group) and watched as Terry readied, ready to pounce on the bigger canines. Although they were small, they would be able to at least make a surprise attack with the wolves both injured and one having been half-blinded by the eye-shot.

She rushed first, hoping to take the attention off her companions. And, as her dagger tore through the muscle and flesh with a sickening squelch, tried not to let the tears fall from her eyes. She twisted the sharp weapon in, causing the wolf to give a yelp of pain and, before its companion could help, watched helplessly as Terry pounced and tore through the canine's meat. Her companions were hounding on it, attacking without stop and she couldn't tear her eyes away as she witnessed sweet Luna bury Corn's quills into the squealing wolf. She saw loyal Fish pierce through the wolf's neck with his envenomed fangs. Watched as Juno tried to tear the wolf's eyes out with her curled beak and watched faithful Terry take bite after bite. Her own body kept moving, stabbing the wolf underneath her again and again. Her mind was blurred and it felt like she wasn't in control of her own actions and, looking at her companions' eyes, watched as they were glazed over. Tears began to trickle down as she tried to look away, only to come face-to-face with the wolf that had been inside the tree. The pup looked terrified, shying away as it watched her slaughter its family, maybe friends, or whatever relationship it might've been. The sight of death around her, caused by her, would haunt her dreams and nightmares.

  15. As the combat had begun underway; there was no way out of it. The duo and their pets had no choice but to put the beast down or try to persuade them to fall back. Being Dire wolves, it was near impossible to reason with them unless they wanted to. Coupled this with the fact the young one; boundaries alpha. Had crossed boundaries and approached their puppy. This would have set them over the edge; the attempt to simply divert the issue lead to the necessary fight. Morohtar and Hobz striking the two to pull aggro away from the girl. Each hitting for some decent damage, before an arrow to the eye socket, had blinded the male; the female hit by the arrows in a few vital spots; both bleeding out seemed to be the quickest way to ensure their death. As the two charged off to assault the wolf and goblin they'd take a hit. Morohtar the main focus; blocking with his bow as best he could; the other attacked him upon the surface of the cold earth, deep teeth lunged into his arm; had it been real life he'd be severely wounded; but given it was a game the pain was there but tendon damage and so forth seemed to fail as the teeth let go the moment the others began to attack; the girl and her pets.

    Thrown die:
    2

    +3 Hunting, +3 Ranged

The damage they output as a unit surpassing his by quite a bit he'd get up quickly and fire some swift arrows into their back quarters. Hoping to cause them to move slower; if lucky locking up the knee so it couldn't move. The whimpering and cries of pain were not unnoticed; the elf did not want to do this anymore than the child. Altough he realized that the two had to make a decession themselves or the wolves. The only down side to such an event was that they would indeed need to find out what to do with the puppy. Yet he who cast the first son be without sin, yet he was not. He cast it though, so perhaps in return he might pay the price and bare responsability. Either way this thought was neither here nor there; as the duo needed to remove the parents from this game. Erase their data was well as the inevitable pain.
His bow, pulled bac he'd take a knee while the girl took her time and her pets held their attention. Pulling it back full force he'd whistle as his goblin struck the wolve nearest in the back side; upon the arrow which caused the intense pain; a howl passing as it turned back. Upon it's motion back he'd released and with a flick the arrow went off; green feathers danced through the air at such great speeds as the arrow went plump into the skull of the wolf.

    Thrown die:
    2

A solid thud was heard as the wolf fell motionless, a kill shot made; the arrow sticking out the back of it's skull. The other, male, ran forth in loving manner to charge in to claim his devotion to his beloved and fallen partner. Once more the arrow coming back would wait charging as the wolf grew closer and closer; his goblin slapping at it with the bag in hopes to slow it down; before being run down as it continued to charge at him. Sorrow, pain, heartache, hatred, revenge. All emotions mixed into the beast; clear as day. His ability to read and understand beasts was part of the reason he sought out to become a beast tamer, eyes closing he'd wait until he hear it's breath close to him. He could let it rip out his throat; take the death and it would be fine. He deserved it, but that would only leave Alpha and to put such a burden on a child let alone take a mother from a wolf and leave it's father. No, that would be the easy way out. Eyes opening as he released the arrow just as the wolf would lunge it would spiral through and pierce out the back of the skull; the second eye removed and hanging on the arrow as the body crashed into him. Limp, bleeding and covering him in blood slowly he'd roll it off. The tears in his eyes now mixed with blood.

    Thrown die:
    2

Slaughtering two dire wolves because they had no real choice. This regret wasn't one he held lightly. Turning to the girl who was most likely traumatized he'd frown. Looking over the animals he'd bow before her and apologize, "I'm sorry, it's not enough. I had no intentions of starting this fight, I merely wanted you safe. I bare full responsibility for their deaths, I can never make it up to you nor this pup. Eyes shifting to the baby wolf, blood still on his face but slowly washing with tears, his lips shifting to speak in his 'native' tongue; elf "I've taken your parents, a sin most unforgiving. But alas, a task that must be done. I won't take yours, but as my redemption I leave you two choices. Far beyond the kindness I was left to give your partents. Allow me to repent and be your care giver; although I am no match I will do my best. That is one choice pup, or you may grow older, stronger and in one day seek me out, take my life and make amends for my wrong doing." he'd say to the puppy as he attempted to connect to it during his conversation to see what was deepest in his heart; his own regret and sorrow coating the words. Whatever the puppy would chose he'd honor it. Yet he wasn't done here, not in the slightest. Turning to the girl lips would part as he sighed.

"Do you have a shovel..if not please move. I need to begin digging their graves...." he'd say his voice broken a bit. The actions made were not of choice but required. Grabbing a rock he'd begin digging up the dirt and using it to scoop out two fair sized holes; only utilizing the shovel if she hadn't already or offered to help. Another atonement for his sin. Once done the male would remove the arrows and begin burrying their bodies. A faint sigh passing as he shoved the stones into the earth. Eyes still watery he'd wipe the sweat from his forehead as he soon rose to his feet and began to speak in his 'native' tongue once more. "Amin naa y' uuvanimo ikotane ann ar' sai- marth" he'd say before turning to her, "Any final words..."he said as he tried to make some amends before bowing once more and grabbed some soil kissing it "laita no'a lle" he'd say as he got up one last time and motioned hobs to follow, "I'm sorry for any trouble I've caused, it is probably best I take my leave and not cause you nor the forest any more harm; enough innocent blood is on my hands. For that I am truly sorry, but most of all I'm sorry to put you through such trama. Let alone take this pup's parents from it." He'd say once moe bowing before the wolf and extending his hands in hopes of redemption.

  18. Conditions - Dead

OOC: We don't need to end it; but I needed to put forth how serious this was for him.

  19. Alpha moved out the way, not wanting to obstruct the man's actions. The parents deserved peace and a proper burial, watching as the man cleaned their mutilated bodies. Emotional turmoil and suffering ate Alpha from the inside-out, clenching her heart in its metaphorical hand. The pup was frightened and, once it had set its sight on her for a moment, it froze up at the sight of her bloodied hands and the scent of death which lingered on her. She murdered the pup's family and she did it in such a brutal fashion that she wondered how the man could stand to see her now. How her friends could tolerate her presence. She was briefly reassured by the gentle rub of Terry's coat on her leg, weak as it collapsed soon after. All she could see was the dirt floor coated in a thin layer of red and the beady eyes of her reptilian companion as the snake decided to comfort her through kisses on her nose. They were all gathered around her, trying to make her feel better but, upon seeing their scratches and the consequences of the battle, she felt guilt wash over her like a tidal wave once again. What was once a peaceful and lively meeting mere moments ago became a violent bloodbath and it was all because of her curiosity. It had been a trait she had prided herself on most; that she was willing to go through great lengths to make a discovery. But now, she had inadvertently slaughtered a pair of parents who had loved their child and the now orphaned puppy had to deal with it. There was no thunderstrike of punishment nor the promise of redemption that welcomed her; only the physical comforts of her friends whose mortality she could now see as clearly as a nearby tree a short distance away. Memories—no, possibilities—flashed in her mind. Inevitable deaths and sacrifices. The widened eyes of horror on Terry's loving face as he gets stabbed and ripped into two. The frightened eyes of Luna as a monstrous creature swallows her whole. The light getting snuffed out of Juno's eyes as the parrot goes to sleep once more, for good. The contentment Corn feels after protecting them for the last time, peaceful in his own end. The anger in Fish as the snake dies without accomplishing his dreams. And the misery in her own death as she kneels down alone, surrounded by nothing but the long-forgotten ghosts of her companions and her family in reality. It all seemed so real and, despite Alpha's own thoughts to the contrary, she couldn't quite convince herself of its unlikelihood or falsity.

"It's okay," she tried to say, the words jumbled out through a shaky breath. Her trembling hand reaches out for the pup that had Morohtar's hand extending an apology to it. It flinched from her approach and she stopped, still, and paled as if the world was breaking around her. Slowly, she nodded silently in understanding (yet the pain did the fade) and beckoned her companions to follow. Despite them tossing the orphaned dog looks of pity and sympathy, they continued to follow Alpha's shaky steps as she nearly fell a few times. She did not even think once of giving Morohtar a proper goodbye and she wondered why this death affected her so. She had killed many creatures since she had started the game and none had incapacitated her to this extend. Her throat ran dry and tears stained her eyes. The tip of her nose was a strawberry red and her lip bled a bit as her teeth dug into the soft flesh. She had many things to think about. Was she the girl who obtained the title of Nature Ranger, the person who'd protect all of nature and its wildlife? Or was it just a cover for her own egotism and her sadistic interior? She shuddered, the cold getting to her as she ventured farther away. Terry cuddled next to her (as did the others, working together) and she couldn't help but feel a small smile blooming on the edges of her face. She immediately reprimanded herself. Why did she deserve love when she had taken it away from another?

  20. With the wolves slain, their graves dug and the actions made it came with little to no surprise that the next few moments would be spent in an awkward and silent setting, yet that didn't seem to be a very long one as he'd turn to see the now distraught child. As he had begged for forgiveness he'd note the pup's reaction to alpha. His own shock appeared as he watched Alpha nearly break down losing it all. The general tone around them, the shaking of her voice. Her actions, nearly falling he'd walk over to her, attempting to help catch her had she done so. His lips parting he'd try to face her as he stood there, "Child, life throws us curves. We can not decide any fate beyond our own and even then it's limited. You can not hold yourself accountable for the actions of others nor your own desire to live. You could not for see the anger nor the actions that these wolves had taken. You are not to blame for their assault, your actions were not the cause, but merely a reaction from which they stemmed. I shot the first arrow, I was the one to engage and enter into combat, you are not to blame."

He'd say doing his best to try to reach her, "I am the one at fault, you were doing what you had to survive, you can not blame yourself for my actions, my decessions nor your own. You can only take responsibility for said actions. Speaking of which, I must do just that. I begged this wolf to forgive me, yet it can not speak. Whether it does or not, I can not leave it here by itself. It is a baby, it can not fend for itself. So my sin shall be to raise it, take care of it and one day let it decide if I' forgiven. Child, forgive yourself before expecting others to forgive you. You did no wrong, don't you see that? Even if this were a world of no consequences just a game or pretend. You'd react the same way, I'm almost certain. This in itself speaks many levels of your kindness, do not let one misfortune make you cast doubt on who you are, child. I have good faith in you. You are indeed a good person, don't you ever forget that." He'd say his treasure goblin shouting in the background as if to say yeah and cheer on the male during his speech. Whether this hit home for her or she was in a daze he could only hope she may find the truth in his words if not now, at a later time. Forgive herself and let her soul rest with ease; carrying such a burden herself was not healthy nor good for her well being.

Turning as he watched her depart he'd soon see her and her animals fade off into the distance, his body turning he'd reach down to pet the poor beast. Afraid as it was the girl he'd make eye contact and once more try approaching slowly as to avoid upsetting her further. His hand slowly extending the palm to her he'd open his menu and take out another slice of uncooked meat. Placing it down before her he'd back up some and crouch, his eyes locked on her as she seemed hesitant at first before ferociously tearing into it; eating the meal. His eyes shifting as he smiled some she'd finish a few minutes later before crying as she looked around sniffing, no doubt looking for her parents. Digging some near the graves he'd be filled with remorse once more. Eyes watering he'd reach back out and pat the soil shaking his head, as she looked up to him he'd open the inventory a final time leaving another piece of meat. Watching her eat that too he'd slowly get up and begin to walk away. A faint cry could be heard from her as he turned around the goblin looking confused as it saw her.

Turning to face her whimpers he'd note her paused behind him. Shaking his head he'd once more walk a short distance as he heard her cries again. Turning back around he'd note her following him with the meat in her mouth. Arching a brow he'd part his lips, "Are you saying you forgive me and wish to join me?" he asked rhetorically as a new message appeared before him. His eyes filling up with tears he'd sniffle some and wipe them away crouching down as he attempted to hug the small dire wolf.

    [You've unlocked a Dire Wolf ; Companion]

As he released her from the hug he'd reach over and clicked accept. Thus began their journey, his hand scratching behind her ear as she nuzzled into his hand and dropped the meat a soft whimper as she gazed back into his eyes, "I promise...I will make it up to you. I'll take care of you with my life." he said as she howled some almost accepting his promise before grabbing the meat and sitting simply waiting for him to take his leave. Nodding, he'd turn and lead her away, leaving this area but marking it on his map to pay a visit and respect occasionally. The now troublesome trio would begin their epic poem. Morohtar The Legendary Hunter and Prince of the Woodland Realms; title work in progress.
