  1. As Steele had gotten word from one of Falderen’s scouting team, it seemed that a large number of Oakhearts and small treants have begun amassing in number at the edge of Adecus Forest. As such, the king of Falderen saw this as an advancement of their armies and a threat; such acts of aggression was not something he could let go. As such he sought out to protect his kingdom. Claiming a bounty on such beasts he'd send out word to the Guild hall, hoping some brave adventurer's might help create a bit of kindle for the surrounding villages; bringing them peace of mind and a comfortable night. With such a task placed upon the guild they'd contact a few of the major guilds asking for help. As such The Heroes of Falderen were contacted; for good reasons too. If they wanted to claim such a title they'd need to prove it to their people. As such they'd prepare to do just that.

Having recieved and accepting the bounty, he'd scan over the guilds member list to see who was online and not busy. His lips pursing through the lengthy doccument would note one of his more seasoned members. He didn't wish to do such a quest and leave it upon those less available. But then again, he was fine if she declined. None the less Steele would then send out his greeting to his team mate; @Amane. His message reading as followed.

    Mail

    From: @Aaron Steele
    Dear, @Amane Hirota
I don't mean to bug you but the king put up a bounty I've sent the notification to all members. I told them to pair up and take this challenge head on, I've chosen you as my partner. Feel free to decline but I feel we havne't properly bonded and I'd like to take this time to bond as such and get to know you. As such if you accept meet me at these coordinates found in the message in the north western edge of the Adecus Forest. [ Location here ]

After sending the message he'd soon arrive at the location in question. Looking around a bit he'd soon come across one of the Oaken Hearts. Excited and ready to rumble he'd note that the party invite had been accepted and his ally would be able to find him easily. As such he'd look down to his newly acquired gear; made with love from @Sera Phim and his new Smith friend @Felicitas Hellewege. Decked out in his new gear and feeling pretty cocky he'd grin. "Fuck it, Yolo. Worst case I book it and heal like a bitch." he'd say looking about for amane for a few more seconds before charging in. His blade in hand and his shield raised he'd swiftly dive into action. His blade cocked back before striking at the mighty oak tree.

Not that she'll ever admit it, but she'd been relaxing on an open plains in Brisshal, enjoying the chill breeze so different to that of New York's soggy summer heat, doing absolutely nothing useful when the chime of a notification shocked her alert. Amane scrambled up, her eyes drawn to the blinking new message at the edge of her interface. From her guild leader, no less. What did the esteemed Aaron Steele want with her? She was just a regular member, they hadn't talked much, and the few times they did, she hadn't thought she'd left much of an impression on the man. Curious, she opened it, quickly scanning the message within.

A bounty? Amane didn't think there were any more, but it seemed like she had missed one. Getting to her feet, she began a brisk walk towards Adecus Forest, almost sprinting at times so that Aaron hopefully wouldn't have to wait long. Of course she would accept such an invitation: the Templar had listed many reasons for it, and she did want to get to know the man that she'll be serving under better. Furthermore, the man was a strong player, and friendly to boot — it was a bit of an honour to be chosen for such a task. With a start, she realised that she'd almost forgot to accept the party invitation, and quickly clicked on the green circle beneath the prompt.

As she neared the location mentioned in the message, a roar ripped through the forest, and beneath that the sounds of combat could be heard. No way, she thought, half bemused, half incredulous. Surely he would have waited? But apparently not so, for when Amane hastened her strides, in the distance near the tree line she could just about make out a herculean sized tree monster, batting against a figure that looked positively tiny, juxtaposed against the Oaken Heart's bulk. Tapping two fingers against her forehead to focus, her interface confirmed that the person in question was indeed her partner on this bounty. Goodness, he's got to be crazy, taking on one solo. Shaking her head in disbelieving wonder, she ran forwards, hoping she'll reach there before anything too terrible happened. Though to be fair, it seemed like Aaron was handling the beast quite well on his own.

When she got within spell-casting range, Amane yelled out, her voice joking as she addressed the guild leader. "I can't decide if you're being heroic or absolutely mad;" as she spoke, she began tracing intricate patterns into the air in front of her, keeping an eye out on the Oaken Heart when she could, though the casting of the spell required more of her attention than she'll like. "What's the point in inviting me if you're going to solo it all?" she quipped. She had been planning on using Arcanamancy to fight, but watching Aaron handle it on his own inspired a kind of awe, and Amane didn't want to seem weak in front of the leader if she could help it. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like any of her masteries were up to par, so she was going to cheat a little. I'll like a little help, if you wouldn't mind, she requested, mentally projecting to her surroundings. With a sudden drain of her energy, fire began to sprout at the edge of her fingers, one of the spirits having heeded her call, and smiling Amane hurled the flames in an arrow-like projectile at the Oaken Heart, taking note to avoid hitting her teammate as she did so.

  6. As the beast roared and swung about its mighty arm the male quickly rose his shield; taking the brute force head on as it sent him skidding back against the surface of the earth. A faint grin passed as he looked to his health bar and noted the minimal damage; between his decent gear and the uncommon shield he was sporting he'd grin more, eye closing briefly as he opened them once more; a faint glow of red slowly kicking in; not enough rage or damage to enter the berserk stage. A faint chuckle passed as he charged back in swinging his blade only to hear the sudden appearance of a voice, eyes scanning back, his shield slapping back against the beast's grab as he saw his team mate; "Ha, that's a good one. Perhaps it's a little of both. Although I did not intend to fight this beast alone, merely get a small head start. I'm relatively useless with full health and to be fair, my armor is new and I wanted to test its metal." he said smiling as he took one more hit sliding back creating the opening she'd need to cast her spell. Upon impact, he'd watch as the flames spread; "Hell Yeah, quick thinking. We'll burn these beasts to charcoal....although to be fair now, look who is soloing the beast alone." he said with a faint grin teasing as the beast appeared below the half way health threshold

"No worries though, I'm sure the king will be relatively pleased; So let me get in there once more and keep it busy; charge up or do what you need to and we can defeat this beast in no time, but don't over do it. I need you to be good for another or two. I want to really impress the king, aside from that it's good training and gives you a chance to improve; if you can easily one shot your enemy, there isn't much room for improvement. But if you can give it 110% and it stills stands well, you exert yourself more and give yourself a reason to get better. Glad I chose you for this task, you are a diamond in the rough." he teased before rushing in once more slashing and batting his shield up against the mighty tree; his health dropping a little with each hit. Thankfully his armor removed about half the physical damage inflicted. So instead of taking massive damage, he'd be taking a minor bit here and there. Well, that was until the magical tree found a way to bypass the damage check. Striking him with a skill that did piercing damage. His body flying back as his health dropped by a clean quarter. "Shit looks like I'll need to be more aware and cautious with this fight." his eyes now glowing red he'd grin as his berserk like state began to manifest.

Charging in now, a bit faster he'd slam into the beast with his shield causing a brief moment of if being stunned as his blade ran up and across its body. Roaring in pain, it would shift its attention towards the male as if to strike; it's bark torn up revealing a soft wooden flesh its back turned would face his partner to give her ample opportunity to strike hard. His focus keeping the aggro and creating more weak spots on the beast. His body mashing forward as the shield bashed again and again against the wooden demon. He'd shout, barbaric as spit flew his eyes a demonic like red as he swept quickly against the tree's limb hacking it hard behind what seemed to be a root like leg; it falling forward some as he then came swinging his blade down like an ax swift and hard as to punish the foolish creature for even attempting to challenge their skill. His focus on the beast, however, would provide such a clean shot that she'd not have to hold back for fear of harming him as the positioning now would make it impossible. However, to be honest. The male took this bounty for a few reasons; rumor had it the wood of these beasts was perfect materials to help craft magical rods and having a few mages he'd want to gather what he could to help them.

The later was in hopes of gathering the heart of a fallen oak. Had he, he could in turn, create a sort of amulet or necklace with it for Sera as a thank you for the gear; all the while as he fought hard and with his all, a small photo resided before him with each stroke of the shield and blow endured; a small quote from it, "Do it for her..." was written as the barbaric man gave forth once more to slay such a mighty beast.

Aaron was a skilled partner: every time he fought, he took care to attack from the sides, always leaving at least one opening for Amane to launch a spell if she so chose. She didn't have to worry about him getting in the way of her aim, or her spells drawing too much aggro — he made sure the monster focused on him and him alone. In a way, it was incredibly refreshing. "That's only because I have you as a meatshield," she said in reply, grinning widely, though she was aware that Aaron wouldn't be able to see her expression. "Doing this alone would have gotten me trampled~" Her light armour really wasn't suited towards adventuring solo — maybe if she got a familiar or battle companion, that would change. But for now, teaming up with people were her best bet, and a great chance to meet new people and socialise.

"Thanks~" She said when Aaron complimented her, her energy bar having refilled to a threshold where she was willing to cast another spell. Already the Oaken Heart was down to half of its life, its health bar paling into a sickly yellow. Between the two of them, taking this one down shouldn't take too long at all. "You're pretty amazing yourself. I haven't seen much people willing to tank in this game; it must take a special kind of courage to put yourself between your teammates and a 20 feet tall boss." As she spoke, the giant tree raised an arm, lashing forwards with a sharp branch that probably dealt a whole different damage type entirely, for with a wince Amane noticed Aaron's health bar shoot down by a good quarter. Raising her hands, she nearly opted to cast a heal on the Templar, before she noticed that, instead of being set back by his wounds, Aaron fought with a renewed strength and vigour, tearing into the Oaken Heart with rapid strokes that were savage in their efficiency. Berserk? So he's capable of DPS along with tanking.

"Better pay more attention," she agreed. "Can't have our guild leader die to such small fry, not when there are world bosses to fight! What will the rest of the guild think?" As Aaron lashed at the monster with a particularly massive swing, it brought him to the side of the creature, and from her angle was partially obstructed by the boss. Perfect; no matter how she chose to hit it, it shouldn't damage him at all. This time though Amane was, well, she was hoping to show off. The Oaken Hearts didn't look like they posed much of a problem, so this was both a perfect chance to make a good impression, and to practice magic that she rarely had a chance to use, either because of its high cost or difficulty in casting, without having to worry about accidentally messing up their kill.

"Say," she called out to Aaron. "Want to compete to see who deals the most damage? Winner'll treat the other to a drink one day." She hadn't been there in the guild's little fishing and mining contest — she had an assignment to rush IRL, and hadn't been able to log in the entire day — which she thought was a right shame. Nothing allowed you to get to know other people as fast and as well as some friendly competition. "Come on, it'll be fun!" Lifting up both hands, she traced her fingers in the air, a different pattern to the one previously. Instead of fire, gold light streamed between her palms, coalescing into a brilliant bolt of condensed light. The Illumancy spell was easier to cast, and quicker to boot, then the Astramancy one, and with a high powered whistle the blinding beam shot forwards like a comet, splashing against the Oaken Heart's bulk.

  11. As the duo slammed about this mighty oak it was clear neither was a newfound player, in fact, the two made quite the pair for combat. His close range combat, coupled with raw endurance and power left the enemy with one worthy adversary. His damage and speed only increasing the more he took; a true powerhouse. Couple this with his holy damage and ability to heal and the tree was fucked even fighting him one on one in a battle of will. However, this was a team fight which meant with one character who was hard enough to handle, so if the latter would be true, then the current was a moment of horror. This poor tree, spending years to grow from a seed up into a large magnificent creature that it was simply walked into the wrong neighborhood and because of his blissful ignorance, he was paying the price. Now Steele was not a heartless man, nor did he lack compassion on any level. But if it was a job and it paid, he was doing it. Despite killing the plant based monster, it was still a monster. So there was no real shame in destroying it let alone, being as cruel as he was. The facts were it was a monster first and a plant second.

It was no different than cutting a rose from the bush. In fact, the environment could use one less Oaken Heart as it might just save several other lives in the process. This was the logic he had come to accept for his actions. As he and the female wailed into the beast; it would be brought down to its last bits of health. Her heal revealing the setback. But the creature still with less than eight percent left. He'd charge in once more using the last bit of strength he had to slay the creature. His hacking and slashing of the beast; would ultimately leave the beast with no health. Having finished it off, alongside his powerful mage friend made this lengthy task one complete in just a few moments. Having completed the quest he'd turn to her and grin give a thumbs up. his lips a bit bloody as he still needed to heal before he began combat again. Eyes shifting as he walked over to the creature and sliced open its chest cavity, removing the heart of the oaken heart. Dead he'd claim his true goal. His blade tapping against the wood as he claimed some of the wood as well; "This will make for a good weapon @Amane Hirota here take it.

Craft it into a common or uncommon one, you can thank me later." he said teasing as his attention shifted once he hopped down. Eyes locked upon another Oaken heart not far off the male would grin, "Well we need to kill one to two of these and we've done one. We haven't been here long; might as well enjoy it. What do you say we slay another and see if we can't gain a bit more mastery and gold while we are at I mean the king must pay per beast right?" he'd say. With this sort of logic in mind. The male would make his way once more off and into combat as he prepared to lay siege to the monstrosity that was the oaken hearts. The male; already injured would ram fast into the beast with his shield bashing into it as he swung hard at its leg hoping to topple or cause it too flinch. His goal was to jump from the start and get as much damage and stun locks as possible; his damage already at an increased range in comparison. Each strike more radiant than the last before all at once he'd cast his Illumancy skill healing himself; returning above fifty percent health.

This action in itself granting him less damage but a stable set as aggro was not only upon him for what he did but now as the healer. His eyes shifting back he'd grin, "Not bad for a fool huh. I wanted to protect people, to be their guardian; especially my sister. Now I'm here for whoever needs me. Life is tough, no reason to go through it alone. Life's gonna kick your ass but, with someone like me. I'll take the beatings with you, help ease the pain." He'd say as his shield bashed up blocking the incoming assault sending him flying back and up into the air, skidding on the ground some he'd appear at her feet looking up, a faint blush passing. "Ummm nice panties...also I'll buy you that drink for sure now." collosalhe'd say winking as he teased, rolling up and over onto his feet before rushing off once more to charge colossal tree. His blade raised once more slashing hard at its base trying to slay this one just as quick, "So if I win this one do I get a drink?" he'd tease.

Personally, Amane didn't think anything could match the exhilaration she could get from combat — even without the riskiness of it all, just being there, pitting your skill against an adversity, seeing if you were strong enough to make a name for yourself, to match up against the enemy that you picked...ever since joining Terra Sphere, she had been a lot busier, with less time for socialising. If asked to, she doubted she'll be able to pick out her neighbours in her crowd, having never seen them since the day she first moved in. But even so she couldn't bring herself to regret it. Over here, not only did she have friends, but she had people she could fight alongside with, a sense of camaraderie that she had yet to experience in the real world. Is this how people felt, playing sports? The rush of adrenalin, being hyper aware of both your allies and your enemies, being part of a group that stood together in solidarity no matter the odds...honestly? She could get used to the feeling that came with being part of something that seemed almost greater.

Eventually, inevitably, under their combine might the Oaken Heart would fall, it's health bar reduced to nothing by Aaron's decisive blow. When offered the tree's heart Amane wanted to accept it with grace — it was a gift, after all, and a thoughtful one besides — the truth was she couldn't utilise it in the slightest, having never picked up Magical Tools. "Thank you," she said at last. "Though I'm a mage, I can't use it personally, but I guarantee that it will be made into a powerful weapon for our benefit." After speaking, she gave a slight shake of her head. Gosh, the slightly medieval manner that Aaron spoke in, referring to the game's mechanics as if they were real was starting to get to her, the felis unintentionally adopting similar speech patterns. "I will give it to our best crafter," she promised.

Amane watched as Aaron ran off to find another Oaken Heart to defeat, readying herself once more for combat. Her cooldowns were down, her energy bar pretty much filled — with the rush from the previous fight still edging her on, she was as prepared as she was ever going to get. Even before Aaron managed to get aggro she was already in the midst of casting her next spell, attempting one of her stronger ones now that she didn't have to worry about cast times, the runes flying into the air around her, lighting her face up in a golden shine. Though long, she had mimed the hand gestures many a times, both in Terra Sphere and outside of it, when she was lying at her bed and determined to excel in the game, and so it hardly required much of her attention, allowing her to focus on answering Aaron.

"I don't have anyone to fight for, myself," she said, shrugging minutely, even if no one could see her actions. "Except for my own pride and reputation. But I'll like to do good regardless, and make an impact on this world. I can't shield people from wounds, but I suppose I can heal them, and bring down vengeance on whatever hurt them twice as hard." Speaking of healing, she watched as the paladin was hurled into the air, landing flat on his back right beside her, she too stunned to do anything for a second or so. With his comment about panties though, her lips cracked into a grin, and she waved her hand in front of her face in dismissal. "No need to worry about that, though I wouldn't say no to a drink~ And we'll talk after you've won, big guy." And with that said, she launched her completed spell at the Oaken Heart, watching the holy spell crash into its branches. Unfortunately, holy magic didn't do extra damage against these creatures, but nonetheless she was glad it still hit pretty hard.

  16. As the duo unleashed hell upon the first oaken heart; Aaron claiming its life and taking the heart; he'd gift it to his team mate then chisel some bark off as a claim to his victory and proof it need be; otherwise a decent item material for crafting he'd assume. His eyes shifting as he listened to her a bit before once more taking into battle the male would nod, his blade slicing at the beast; his shield bashing against its incoming assault. Yet he was relentless. Their actions proving quite well as the duo once more began assault of the second beast; yet with much more vigor than one might anticipate. Having slain one in just a few solid minutes, this one too seemed like it might be the case; however you never truly know just how things would go. In life fate was a most unforgiven mistress; possibly taking back just as much as she has given. One life down a second to go, they attempted to press their mistress for more glory and a chance to properly claim the titles of those brave heroes. A faint smile passed his lips, "Do you think the king will honor us for slaying these powerful and mighty beasts. I tend to think..." he'd say as he was interrupted in his speech by the beast in question as he once more continued after brief grunt, "That we should be rewarded some how, although the stories themselves might be more than an adequate source of reputation for us."

He'd say as he continued to take hits and make them; his team mate hitting the tree hard seemed to help aid in it health dropping. Already within the first few minutes of their fight, they were hitting the tree for what seemed like a minute or two tops and its health was nearing half, such strong and mighty fighters his guild had. Yet his lips seemed to keep shut for once as he focused on the fight at hand. His body rushing forth as he attempted to slice through the tree before him. His strikes slower yet more precise he'd take on a more defensive manner, his blade slicing off branches incoming as if to lessen the possible attacks the creature could have dealt him. Yet, this would all change as the beast grabbed a boulder from behind its self. Slamming it hard down onto Aaron like a hammer; his shield raising taking most of the damage he still fell to his knees before slamming into the ground on his back. The force immense he'd grunt a small bit of blood forming at his lips, "I'm Okay...he hits like a bitch..." he's boast as he slowly got up getting hit once more flying back as he coughed up some blood, "Yep...just a flesh wound. Thankfully I'm a paladin huh." he'd say raising his blade to heal himself as he tried to catch his breath, his eyes slowly shifting red despite the heal; his health range around half.

Now in his berserk state again he'd lower himself and prepare to charge forth; the beast raising a rock once more and tossing it he'd book it forth running left then right dodging the incoming assault as he soon came up hard spinning as to hack away at the tree's arm. Now extended as to grasp his body the arm would slice in half as it fell; a loud scream filling the forest as he removed its limb; slowly regenerating it seemed the energy it had was greatly depleted. A faint smirk passing as he continued to slash at its base; cutting up and slicing past the roots he'd soon be grabbed by its free hand while the other regenerated as it roared in his face, "Bro...tic tak..." he'd say being a wise ass before it threw him hard and fast against the ground slamming into a rock as well as his team mate "We really need to stop meeting up like this, me head over heels, you on top. If there wasn't combat going on I might just enjoy this." he'd say teasingly as he got up slowly helping her to the side, "There...Hope I didn't crush you too much." he'd say patting himself off, the Tiny little thing you are....but yeah. What do you say we bend this bitch over and show him why he shouldn't have done that." He'd say with a wide grin, eyes still glowing as he turned to rush back in; his armor shining brightly. Fitting of a paladin trying to be a "knight in shining armor". He played the role well and as such he was often sought after and looked up to. Not just because of his height either, but he often wondered how folks truly saw him or thought of him. Amane no exception.

Already on their second one and they were making good progress. Firing off another spell, Amane took cover as the Oakheart attacked Aaron once more, debris flying in the air from the impact. She was quite amazed that the two of them worked so well in tandem — the tank must have worked with a mage before, and quite frequently too. Dusting herself to her feet, she recited another spell, an arc of holy fire spilling from her hands and towards the creature, carefully skirting around the tank positioned between the two of them.

"I don't think we'll be accorded stories quite so easily," she said dryly, transitioning from one spell to another in quick succession, a spear of light beginning to take shape in her hands. "We might be strong, but there are definitely stronger factions still out there. The Ynglar Brotherhood, for one. During the fight against Arachna a single blow from them took out a quarter of its health." With such strong organisations already defending Falderen, she doubted their guild counted for much int he grand scheme of things; at least, not yet they don't. "One day, when we're more powerful and reknown, maybe we can look forwards to such."

"Still, I believe we'll get some gold and reputation? That what the bounty said, at least," the felis added, throwing the beam of light at the Oaken Heart and running off to the side, taking the opportunity as the creature reared back to shift to a more tactical position, this time placing herself more firmly out of its AOE range. Though not as fully decked out as Aaron, she nonetheless had a pretty decent arsenal of gear, but even the best equipment would be gradually chipped down by the constant barrage of flying stones, soil, and other small loose pieces that got over Aaron's guard.

Talking about wearing down progressively, her energy bar was starting to look a tad problematic, the meter barely past the 30% mark. While she still had a couple of spells more in her, this Oaken Heart would probably be her limit. Anymore and she would risk getting mind downed. Thank goodness Aaron had Illumancy of his own — throughout the whole fight Amane didn't have to worry too much about the paladin's health, and could focus solely on DPS. As one who normally took on the role of support, it was nice to finally get the chance to let loose and burst something down without restrain.

She threw up a shield over Aaron just as the Oaken Heart smashed a boulder into him, and though it absorbed part of the damage it did nothing about the force of the blow itself, and she winced as Aaron once again flew across the field. Perhaps against creatures as big as these, some buffs would be in order...? Opening her menu, she repeated a set of word phrases written within, casting a Stability buff on the tank. It should prevent him from being thrown back or knocked down, even if it couldn't prevent anything if Aaron was off the ground in the first place, like the monster picking him up whole and throwing him.

Narrowing her eyes at his quip, she shot him a similarly playful grin. "I would've figured that you'll prefer being on top more," she teased, cocking her head to the side. "Though I admit that was partially my fault — I should have casted a protection buff of some sort a lot earlier in the fight, sorry about that. But you're right: between the two of us, that overgrown aberration isn't going to stand much of a chance." Indeed, its health was already bordering the half way point — just a couple more cycles and that'll be the end of it. Watching Aaron charge eagerly back into battle, a matching enthusiasm began building within her, urging a smile onto her face.

Amane wondered if the guild leader knew that his ability and willpower was contagious; by so willing charging at the front of the lines, he inspired determination and courage in those who followed him. Already a spell was on her lips, light crackling in front of her as her magic started to manifest, the bolts of energy soon leaping forwards in bounds, racing Aaron to the boss. After all, they were still competing, and she was having to much fun to not give it her all.

  21. A faint blush passed his lips as he bites them some and smiled at her, "If I wasn't sure Sera would kill me I'd consider that an offer I'd be up for..." his blush noticeable he'd shake his head and rush off once more recklessly rushed off into the fray. His blade slashing at the beast and his shield blocking what he could; despite the spell not working when picked up now that he was on the ground hunkered down it stopped him from getting a swift kick in the throat knocking him back and such.

This in itself was a vast life saver. So he'd smile and nod towards her as he saw her rushing in too. He'd almost forget about their little bet. A faint smile passing he'd start to sing "I can do anything you can do better, I can do anything better than you." He'd say shifting his gaze to her, almost lovingly as to tease as he slammed the hilt into the blade. His eyes parting he'd shout, "IN THE NAME OF TYL! SMITE THE CURSED BEAST!" his sword slicing deeply into the beast as it roared out in pain.

The cries almost humanoid in nature as it appeared to bellow out in pain a faint smile passing, "that's right you bastard, feel my might and drop to your knees." he'd begin to boast some. His slashes a bit repetitive as he noted her incoming attack he'd smile. His own trying to sneak in hoping to catch it off guard or in a weak enough state to knock it back some, the massive creature was just as tanky as he was but still no match for the awesome duo's combination of physical and magical prowess.

A faint smile passed his lips as he was genuinely interested in her skills, "Quite the combatant, ever thought about becoming a general?" he'd say playing around; not knowing what those words had engaged in perhaps changing the future for himself. His attacks continued as did his banter, lips curling into a warm smile as he bit at them nervously while fighting some now distracted a bit, "Can I change my win to another wish...what if I..." he said pausing to swing and duck, "Changed my wish to you considering to join my relationship..."

He said chuckling some, "I know...total perverted thought. But here me out...aside from needing a cute pet. I think your attractive....talented and someone who might be worth getting to know." He'd say slamming hard into the enemy. "That and I know Sera would probably want to look you over first...so if you're not against being loved by two people and the concept of a poly relationship doesn't freak you out..." he'd say teasing some. "But that's only to at least think about it should I win..should I lose, I'll do w.e it is you want."

He said winking as he seemed to be reenergized and working off his second wind; perhaps inspired by his own desires as he wailed into the beast frantically dancing about it in his berserk like state; glowing red and striking the beast in several spots quick. However despite his speed and the dedicated and quick strikes, it appeared he'd be taking a rather hefty incoming strike; not being knocked back but almost rung like a bell his insides would become shaken some as his health dropped to the 50% range His anger increasing as the rage built up; shouting loudly.

He'd roar as he charged forth preparing to rip into the enemy. His blade dragging against the ground sparking some as he gave a powerful uppercut with it in a similar fashion one might a two handed sword; using both hands the shield now just a decoration. Although hitting it hard this would leave him open to more susceptible damage; meaning he'd have to watch the actions he'd be making otherwise he just might put himself in a predicament where he'd take double the normal amount, but that was the cost after all of the actions such as berserk.

However, he'd need to start mastering his skill sooner rather than later. His rage helping guides his actions as he turned to her with a grin almost as if to claim his victory ahead of her. But had she lost? Probably not; but that slight nudge might be just enough to cause her to take more serious action. None the less the duo would have no choice but to ensure in the madness that was the combat of such a beast; despite how tired they have they had two options finish the fight or run; being a stubborn male Steele would rather die than give up; especially if he knew victory was possible.

A...poly relationship? She thought, bewildered, her fingers moving on auto-pilot to cast her spells as she mused over this new development. She had nothing against polyamory personally — at least, as long as it was agreed upon by all parties, but it had always been a rather western concept to her, and not one that she'd ever imagined applying to her life. In fact, she hadn't even considered getting into a relationship until after she had finished her studies, not having wanted any distractions, or emotional drama, to adversely affect her grades. She wasn't against it, per say, but the idea rang with a hollow, daunting feeling in her mind. How would it even function? Would Aaron split his attention between her and...Sera, was it? But more importantly, getting into a relationship now, away from her home and in a game, no less......she didn't know who Aaron was, if her parents would even approve. And though Amane liked Aaron and wouldn't have minded getting to know him better, this was a little too much so early in their friendship.

"I'm not adverse to it," she said at last, pursing her lips subconsciously. "But, no offence, I...hardly know you. I wouldn't mind meeting Sera though, and if we get along...I can't give you an answer now, I'm sorry, not until I get to know you better. It's not a "no", just a..."not now"," she finished lamely, a blush coating her cheeks. She wasn't sure what the norm was in the states, but in China her parents had always expected her to marry rich, and ever since her high school ended had sent her on blind dates with sons from similarly upper-class families. Telling them that she wanted to focus on getting a degree first had stopped their attempts, but the truth was that she had wanted to get into a relationship more out of emotions and genuine enjoyment rather than because of practicality. (Nothing to do with her status, or wealth, she had enough of——) she cut that thought off before it could develop further, gazing unseeingly into the distance in contemplation.

With a start, she realised that all her cooldowns had refreshed, and desperately chanted another spell, her face flaming in embarrassment. Hopefully Aaron hadn't noticed her inattentiveness. Despite her sort-of rejection, she really did want to pursue a friendship with the paladin, the man's drive, enthusiasm and charm (debatable, but the chivalrous-knight persona was rather endearing, especially when in a medieval game such as this) chief among the factors why she enjoyed interacting with him, but certainly not the only ones. Spell completed, she quickly hurled the holy fire at the Oakheart, watching it further whittle down its health bar to a sliver of its original amount.

"If you're still up for it," she abruptly added, not wanting Aaron to mistake her for being completely opposed to the idea, "We can still hang out for drinks after, and you can invite Sera, if you like. It'll be purely platonic, but I would like to be friends first, and maybe we can consider something more after." Amane wasn't even sure if she was ready to enter a relationship when she still had many commitments, mainly to her family and to her studies, but she certainly wasn't now, she didn't think, not when the two of them were practically strangers. Hopefully, Aaron wouldn't think any less of her.

"To answer your other question, I'll love to be General," she said, changing the subject. "I've no gaming or raiding experience though, so I might not be very good at it. At the very least, I'll probably need time to learn." Being able to contribute more to the guild was something that appealed to her — as did having more of an impact on Terra Sphere. Valor was one of the larger guilds, and having a rank within it would bring her one step closer to her goals. And, she had to admit, it'll be fun to organise and plan raids and other combat events for the members.

Watching Aaron throw her a rather arrogant grin, she gave him a cheeky smile — almost a smirk in return. The Oakheart was already at its last legs, so there was no need to hold back her damage output; its health would deplete faster than her energy bar. Opening her UI, she found the spell she wanted, re-reading through its incantation to make sure that she still remembered it right, before chanting it for the very first time. Rings of light bordered by mystic sigils scoured the ground around the creature, before beams of light like miniature comets smashed into the Oakheart's body from above, exploding in a shower of sparks and fire upon impact, striking it consecutively one after the other. The blue bar below her health shot down by a considerable bit — much more than she had expected — but it shouldn't be too large of a problem. Hiding her worry, Amane dipped an eyelid down in an exaggerated, deliberate wink at Aaron when the Templar would next turn around. "Not bad, hm?" she said, grinning. Aaron might be at a much higher level, but she wasn't going to let him win their little competition so easily.

  26. A wide grin passed as he listened to her discuss her thoughts, a nod passing at her words as he had already grown to understand and knew exactly where this was going. Although listening to her stumble upon her words some and double back on it as well as the blush towards the end; trying to reclarify it he'd laugh, "Oh is that so...well I'll take that not now and save it in my pocket for later. But to be fair, It's strictly a game concept in case it was crossing your mind; no idea where you live nor if Sera is that way in real life too, besides to be completely honest. I think of this relationship as a group who just genuinely loves one another; any time spent with one is enough and if I'm being the utmost honesty. I just wanna wrap my arms around you cuddle and play with your ears beneath the moon as we gaze at stars, I doubt it's all that serious or troublesome as you think. Those sort of advancements come later and I'm sure you'd be the one making the move not me...at least that is how I'd handle it, I'd never force anything on anyone. In game or in reality." he'd say as he slammed hard into the beast once more letting his final thoughts be known on the matter as he smiled at her, "We can set up a date for the three of us to meet, I'm sure you'll love her." he'd say warmly up until he'd not her cheeks red and she seemed distracted; cutting his attention only momentarily as he got knocked back and rolled a bit, "Shit..." tohe'd say landing on his rear before she let out the holy fire to take the beast down to virtually nothing.

Sitting there he'd listen to her plan and arch a brow, "Really, you want to go on that date; platonic...that's fine but meeting Sera with drinks, that plan...it seems rather dangerous." he said laughing as he rubbed the back of his head. "Sera and drinks end up one of two ways; very persuasive or one wild night of fun and clothes disappear. Never play the girl in strip poker...it's...unfair." he said teasing as he sat there lookinat the beast as it made it's way closer, "You can have this honor. Motioning for her to finish off the beast he'd open the floor for the discussion on the matter of general, hearing her accept it made him grin as he got up and charged back in to hold it back waiting for her final blow. "Yes, as General you'd be able to help plan for world bosses, raids, and events. You'd be in charge of the layout and plans of most combat as well as working alongside our allies for joint combat projects. Outside of that you'd get more one on one time with me as a member of the council as well as a vote on the major events for the guild when applicable." He'd say as he shifted his attention to the beast before him; His strikes hard and ferocious. His grin to her and comment egging her on as she unleashed her inner beast. The damages displayed causing a wide grin upon his face as he let her get the finishing blow and it died. Once more he'd take to slashing it up and taking what he could from it; the bark and the heart. A faint smile passing as he jumped down off the creature he'd look to her.

"Well we did it, we slew the two oaken hearts. Although I'm not nearly as exhausted as I thought I'd be..." he'd say as he grinned wide, his health half way and his energy just over half he'd smile at her as he walked over and wrapped his arms around her giving her a big old hug. His hand sliding down her backside would pull her closer, "You did good Amane, real good." he'd say patting her bottom, "Good job." he'd say with a wink then turn, "Don't I get one" he teased laughing some as he rubbed the back of his head, "Were you keeping count on who was doing more damage. I lost track, I think it was you tho?" he said unsure but taking an educated guess. His hand would reach over to her as he began to pet her head some smiling warmly as he rubbed behind her ears and grinned, "Do you actually feel these things, it's supposed to be realistic. But how does that surmount to physiology we don't have." he teased some as he leaned in and looked into her eyes briefly, "So, you won...what was it again you wanted. I'm down for drinks regardless, since that's just a good way to unwind but what about you?" he'd ask as she'd be given the chance to say what it was. Once the desire was exchanged he'd smile and nod, motioning for her to follow. Taking the lead once more off into the wild he'd bravely lead them back to society. His eyes shifting back to talk to her a bit more, "So tell me more about yourself, ask anything you wish to know..." he'd say their banter fading off in the distance as they returned to Stockbon to claim their prize.
