  3. Cringing at the aftermath left behind by the toxic plant, Jack felt a shiver run down his spine as he saw one health bar in particular dropping at a horrific rate. It was then that he knew the man was a goner. Considering how much energy would be needed to revitalize the stranger’s life force, he’d shake his head slowly while initiating an incantation. The dark haired man would wash his hands clean of this burden since the man had practically home to the battlefield naked and unarmed. He couldn’t be held responsible.

    "Vimi sular ast!"

A blinding flash of bright like quickly washed down upon a stalwart figure as an ally's health bar trickled back up to nearly full. Considering how their merry band had been assaulted, it was fairly unlikely that a second heavy attack would follow suit with rapid succession. With that in mind, energy conservation took priority. Unfortunately that was under the assumption that their vanguard hadn’t opted to charge directly into the fray, something he probably should’ve expected.

    “…”

Silence followed as he’d look sadly at the other support player while shrugging with acquiesce and following suit. As the saying goes… seven idiots on the same plan is still better than seven geniuses on seven plans.

Through your struggles, you have finally arrive at the clearing where the Oakheart remains stoically. Though you are greeted with a sizable squad of Treants, dispatch them and stop the Oakheart before it hurt the thing it’s holding at the castle.

The number above representing the collective HP of all the Treants and the Oakheart. Bring them down.

    Damage
Everyone who have posted thus far must subtract 20% HP from the appropriate bbcodes.

Tanks with Geomancy, Hydromancy, Guard, Shield only lose 10% HP.

-1% for each blue gear. -2% for each green gear.

@Xavier Weissman has fallen heroically in battle. He has died.

    Healing
Support (Naturamancy, Illumancy, and Muse) can forgo their roll to heal.

Single Target Healing: base 3 + 2 per mastery tier (excluding beginner, but +5 if Expert) = final %.
Cost: You must pay half of that amount in energy cost (round up).

AoE Healing (max 3 targets): base 3 + 2 per mastery tier (excluding beginner, but +5 if Expert) = final # divided by 2 (Round up).
Cost: The final # (before you divide by 2). E.g. 6% AoE heal means 11% EN cost.

    Counter-Measure
For this cycle, anyone with Pyromancy will get +10 modifier to their roll per mastery tier (except beginner). +20 for Expert rank. Oakhearts and Treants are weak against fire.

  7. As the male continued to protect his team; he'd block every incoming strike humanly possible. Staying with his team as he'd help lead them down the path; his rage fueled by the monstrous creatures and fool hearty enemies. A Roar filling the air as he broke away briefly bashing about and slashing at the enemy before them; his rage expanding by the second. As the male hulked out helping to lay everything before their path to waste he'd be reminded upon his shield despite his emotions that he needed to control himself a gentle flame for that who he loved so much; sera. "Yes, do it for her..." he'd whisper as he slowly subsided the rage as he arrived with the crew at the destination before the giant oaken tree,

"So, we are having a bone fire?" he'd ask with a smirk. His shield raised high as he hunkered down his gaze shifting back some, "Is everyone ready, US tanks will take the front, keep us alive while we keep aggro, those of you swift and hard hitting pop in and pop off just as quick I'll do my best to protect you and take the hit with my shield. Unless anyone has a better idea; I say we get to work, the bigger they are the harder they fall." he'd say as the other beside him addy seemed eager to topple the giant; a faint chuckle passing his lips, "Let's wreck this shit like Ralph, we owe it to those we lost behind." he'd say as he took the lead charge forth bravely. His optics glowing they're crimson red almost as if his path left an after glow.

His sword shifted back and his shield prepared for any incoming attacks. As the berserker once more took to becoming a mighty warrior of justice. The incoming damage and attacks brushed off as the rage built. Each trevant in his path knocked back or cast aside and hacked at angrily. His body spinning some as his sword slashed about chopping up the wood; sending the bastards back and away from the party he'd slam his shield down and holler up into the air; trying to grab and maintain any aggro he could muster as he'd shout slamming his weaponry together; adding to the noise.
    "BRING IT ON... BITCHES!"

  10. Roland grit his teeth as he ran with the wave of fighters sprinting across the open terrain. The poison was still in the air, but it had seemed most had become accustomed to it. The primary source of danger was quickly becoming the gathering of treants before them. Where they had come from was unknown to Roland, his view obstructed by the small task force, but clearly they were in league if not controlled by the Oak Heart itself. Finally Roland got to use his blades, splitting through bark covered limbs, and chopping his way through tangled vines. Quickly the battle became a sea of confusion as the treats pushed into their lines. Somehow in the midst of battle Roland spotted @Amane Hirota , he moved over towards her once he had.

After deflecting an errant tree fist, he called out, “It’s a bit dangerous on the front lines isn’t it!” He hadn’t intended to shout it, but it seemed his adrenaline was just too much for him to control. Knowing the girl was primarily a spell caster, and normally carried no weapons, Roland was aware of how vulnerable she’d be out in the open field. Slowly he positioned himself a few feet in front of her, hoping she had the common sense not to blast him in the back of the head with a spell, “Stay behind me! I’ll try and keep the monster’s out of your hair!” He tried to scan the battlefield looking for Jack. He knew the man at least had some sort of healing capabilities but he wasn’t sure if he was in the same boat as Amane. If so it’d likely be best to have them both under guard. “If you see Jack, let me know!” Roland yelled to Amane, focusing on the large beasts tumbling his way.

  13. Having watched from afar the devastating effect of the trap laid by the enemy, she remained cautions as she approached the massive tree. After waving to the group to make sure she knew she was here, she used her ability to vanish and slunk forward through the forest, keeping an eye out for sentries or stragglers. There wasn't much use for her quiet approach, being surrounded by stumbling and shouting buffoons, but she persisted regardless. With them as her decoy, she could more than likely remain undetected, even of the group was clearly making no effort whatsoever to go unnoticed.

Having forgone the element of surprise for bravado and battle cries, she assumed that they would soon be met with a detachment of enemy forces, and could only hope they were quick about dispatching the looming oakheart before the enemy learned of their flanking approach and reacted accordingly. judging from the traps placed along their route, one could assume that they anticipated such a predictable counter attack, but she would concede that they had little other choice if such a relatively small number had any chance to strike effectively against such numbers.

She took up a position that would put the lumbering elemental at the apogee of her energy attacks range and began slowly and silently gathering energy as she mouthed the names of the forms she was creating with her hands. By this time, she was adept enough in the skill that it was unnecessary, but the familiar act help calm her nerves for the battle that loomed imminently. Without moving from cover, she let lose and sent the beam of energy flying toward the enemy, then leapt from her concealment to engage the smaller but still dangerous treants.

  16. There seemed to be a slight faltering in their ranks as the non player characters hesitated in their charge, leaving the Admiral and Steel far ahead of others. Steel seemed to be drawing attention to himself by clanging sword to shield in a time honored fashion of war time goading, while the healers held back. Roland waited among them to keep them safe; understandable. The rest? She wasn’t sure if they were resigned to failure, or just annoyed at the damage everyone was taking as they rushed to take down the large creature. Sighing, she paused to look over the foot soldiers and adventurers assembled and waved her hammer at the monstrosity and the creatures surrounding it.

“Sometimes the only way out is through! The fastest way from A to B is to hit every C-U-N-T between you and where you want to get! So let’s get out, push through, and break these bastards!” Turning back to the battle, she began to clobber at the legs of the large creature, trying to cripple it.

  20. Ducking out of the way from an attack, Amane cursed under her breath. Even standing somewhat far back as she was, the supports were still getting battered by a barrage of attacks from the treeants. Really, this was a bit unfair. Weren't tanks the only ones supposed to get hit during combat? Swinging around at the sound of her name, she narrowly missed a rock hurling in her direction, and wincing she backed away from the battlefield, shooting @Roland Rutledge a smile of thanks.

"While that wasn't a warning per say, I think you saved my life nonetheless. Or a good chunk of it, at any rate," she said, grinning. "I didn't mean to come to the front lines, but the rest of you did, and I do need to be within range to cast a heal spell." With that said, she acquiescent with a nod of her head though, sliding back behind Roland as he positioned himself in front of her defensively, stepping on a rock for some minor elevation so that she'll be able to better cast heals if need be.

Jack? There was only two people in the raid that she didn't recognise, and since one was a girl..."The other support? I think I saw him a while back, though I'm not sure about now." She called out, gazing over everyone's statuses to see who needed healing more. Her own health had another chunk taken out of it since her last heal, and out of the group she seemed to be one of the more lightly armoured, so Amane decided that this coming heal was going towards herself, regardless of how selfish that sounded. And a single one, not AOE, in order to conserve energy, for who knew when the next time she'll be able to get her hands on a regen potion will come. Though, Dempsey did have alchemy...

"Be careful," she said to Roland. "At this rate I'll be too busy healing myself to do much for the rest of the group, so don't take too much damage~" Though said in a joking voice, Amane's face was a little strained, and her fingers flew through the motions, quickly casting the heal on her person. Even as the bar filled, it was still didn't reach anywhere near its original level, a worrying concern indeed.

  23. Things were roughly panning out how Jack had expected. Their squad having been intercepted by a wave of treants, the support could only grit his teeth and begin casting again while continuing to survey the battle field. Though their numbers had dropped by one, hopefully it wouldn’t plunge much further considering the quality of the remaining troops. As for now? The man could only continue to plug holes where they were spotted while hoping to maintain what little of a formation they had.

    "Akular gadurm kair!"

A large surge of magical energy began collecting in his right palm as he raised his enchanted lantern with the opposing hand. Having completed the incantation, the coalescence of magic danced playfully into the focus before magnifying with brilliance and dividing into three separate entities of light. Upon raising the hood of his lantern, the two of the three separations would quickly scatter across the battlefield, slamming directly into other player’s backs while forming a translucent barrier of protection to ward against harm. The third wisp of light would fly straight for the caster himself, resulting in a similar effect to protect against external forces.

Now having a moment to breath, the man stood back while continuing to survey the battlefield. Having now noticed a particular Felis prancing about the fray as well as another latecomer or two, the man let out a chuckle while buffing them all. Without warning, their weapons of choice would ignite brilliantly in a flare of holy fire – a fitting spell against enemies of the forest.

“Glad to see some familiar faces out there! Make sure to keep line of sight with me, otherwise I can’t be held responsible for any splatting corpse stains.” He’d wave amicably at Roland to announce his presence at the rear.

  26. Slamming his way about like the brute he was the male had unleashed the beast; roaring loudly among the enemy his sword slamming hard and fast into them; carving out a quick path and adding as much damage as he could to what @The Admiral was already contributing. However, despite the heavy efforts to DPS; he was still a tank. So he couldn't put out as much as he'd hoped; at least not without the boost increase from his Berserk kicking into over drive. "FUCK...." he'd say aloud, he wasn't fast enough, now he was no Kirito but he might not be able to star burst stream, but he more then likely could slice and dice the fuck out of the over grown veggies.

Although he was not a fan of killing nor the concept of killing a creature who didn't deserve it. These trees although under orders had a mind of their own; the moment they decided to attack another outside of himself was the moment he found him releasing himself of the guilt and giving into his protective nature. Berserking his way through slowly he'd part his lips and shout, trying to gain some aid, "KILL IT WITH FIRE!" he'd shout hoping someone with Pyromancy might start to aid them with a proper spell or two. At this point despite being in a rage enduced combat mode; he was an expert enough to maintain some form of clarity, enough to speak or at least shout short phrases. His body however seemed heavily focused on hacking away at the enemy chopping them into kindle so he might be lucky enought to protect his allies.

Yet upon his barrage of attacks and slaying of those low in health he'd be faced with another; possible an over grown trevanant, but not big enough to be an oaken heart, "A LITTLE HELP!" He'd shout out hoping for some assistance. As the male took a deep breath then charge in bobing and weave as his shield bumped up to deflect what he could his sword hacking away at it's base roots; the team working to clear it before they could arrive at the Oaken Heart; or as he would call Kevin...that jerk. Why couldn't he be more like Steven. The in side joke he'd thought to himself made him chuckle as he wailed away at the tree before him.

  30. The battle really was not as hectic as she had expected it to be. Perhaps it was different for those on the defensive since the Yladian were not being very strategic. The witch was a bit bored of their direct tactics actually. They really did seem to be just one unified mind like she had heard... but it was just one unified idiot mind. What were they goblins? The giant boulders and relentless attack was all well and good but they were not doing much in the way of ploys. The occasional ambush seemed to be the only form of strategic defense plan they had going for them.

The toxic attack was the first move that made her even feel they were even trying to prevent the attack squad from advancing. Merkaba as always dealt with it her own way. Trying not to become to involved with the other wretches that were in the attack party. When someone dared to think she needed healing Merkaba showed no sign of gratitude. The powers of light trying to interfere with her mana again! Of course that Jack fool was here so he probably enjoyed that if he had noticed her mana fluctuations. The Dark Lady really did have to figure out how to better avoid light mana from disrupting her spells... and soon.

When quite possibly the largest Oakheart she had ever seen came into view.... it was met with little but a glare. Merkaba began to use generic high tier "clear the area of weaklings" spell: Longinus Storm, to pelt the treants and the enormous dryad with black spears of rot and decay. These poor helpless creatures... how easily they fall apart to her black arts. How meager they were compared to her. Merkaba saw now that bringing this 'majestic' species to it's extinction may not be such a difficult task. She almost wished they would have something bigger and grander in store. This was all a bit lacking in her mind. The Arachne Queen was more dangerous this bunch of wood and leaves. The witch filled her scythe with her flesh melting energy. As the rain of spears finished she hacked a treant or two to pieces.

Please give her a magic duel she could enjoy... this was becoming rather mindless for the elegant witch.

The Oakheart has noticed your war band and has brought with massive fist into the ground where the Treants are attacking the group's front line, intending on helping its allies.

The attack created a massive delay for for both teams due to the fact that it changed the terrain, as such, there was time for the supports to have a brief rest, heal, and helping with the attacking giant from afar.

    Damage
Ground Slam: All melee characters must subtract 20% HP and 10% EN from the appropriate bbcodes.

Tanks with Geomancy, Hydromancy, Guard, Shield only lose 15% HP.

-1% for each blue gear. -2% for each green gear.

Healer recover 5% EN from the delay.

    Healing
Support (Naturamancy, Illumancy, and Muse) can do damage and heal this round.

Also, tank and support should divide their final score by 2 because they are not DPS, thus, do less damage in direct combat.

  34. Roland grimaced as he batted away another attack aimed at Amane, it seemed the treats were rather focused on their healers at the moment. "Something intelligent must be controlling them at the moment." Screams rang out beside him, but Roland knew he needed to focus on the monsters before him. They came in droves, but they were slow and dumb and were easy to parry and block while the ranged fighters behind him did most of the damage. Without warning his blades were suddenly ignited with a bright holy flame, he quickly snapped his head back to see Jack in the backfield waving at him. He could only spare the man a nod of thanks, "Good, it seems he's well protected. Lets back up Amane!"

As he spoke the Treant slammed its giant fist into the ground sending a shockwave forward as the earth itself became disheveled, "Arggh!" Roland called out as he was sent tumbling backward, "To your feet! To your feet!" it was the only thing he could think to bark out to the men now cowering on the ground. They couldn't stop here, they needed to kill that Oak Heart.

  37. She was too busy fighting to notice that the treant was winding up for some sort of massive attack, and by the time she realized what was about to happen, it was too late to flee the impending attack, She had no choice but to bear the brunt of it, then withdraw temporarily and reassess the situation. The attack was going about as well as anything this group attempted, Still, it was obvious that their only path was forward at this point.

She took advantage of the brief pause to tend to the worst of her injuries and gather herself before diving back into the fray once again. The longer this fight went on, The less likely their success became. After watching the newcomer disolved into a puddle only a few minutes prior, She felt that everyone here had their own survival at least on the back of their mind.

  40. The world rang like a hundred bells as the Admiral went flying backwards, the place that she had been standing now the epicenter of shattered earth from the massive fist of the colossal treant that had just tried to plant them prematurely in their graves. Standing, she spat blood and dirt from her mouth and glanced to see how everyone else was doing. Alive, for the most part… that was good. Spotting Steel nearby, she grinned that he was still alive. Tough bastard… He was almost as good a tank as she was, if he could survive the brunt of these attacks like that. A smaller ent near the fist seemed to be picking itself up from the ground slowly and she grinned mischievously, enjoying how entirely action film this was turning out to be.

“And who are you!” she shouted, rushing up to get a boost off of the ent’s back as she leapt onto the fist of the oakheart.
“…oh Bark-backed fiend, to bend us to your will? Who rules from palace among trees, which tower on the hills?” Rushing up its arm, she began to snicker-snack at its face with her weapons, aiming for whatever it was which made up its eyes as hammer and wooden club struck in fury and fervor. She gripped a branch of its body with her thighs to keep from being flung and to keep both hands free for swinging, lost in the moment. It wasn’t until she glanced down at her party that she realized how… high… it was. Growing suddenly pale, she hugged the thing’s face and began to shriek in terror of falling.

  43. As the battle continued to unwind, Jack found himself relishing in a moment of relief with both a mixture of gratitude and horror. Though their backline had been spared, giving him moments to catch a breath amidst the chained incantations, the man let out a lazy groan upon watching all the devastation reaped upon their front line. Internally, the man was already crying out for some additional relief. Between the two supports currently engaged, both were slowly falling behind with the damage intake by the assault squad.

Crunch time had arrived. Without even realizing it, the doc had entered triage mode mentally while carefully gauging the varying effectiveness of their numerous players. Having taken note of DPS relative to life sustainability, he’d proceed to focus primarily on a sole individual with regards to his healing arts. "Vimi sular ast!" Yet another blinding flash of bright like quickly washed down upon the stalwart figure, blanketing her in a soothing sensation, as her health bar trickled back up. A majority of the damage from the slam was mitigated as a result.

Not one to slack, Jack quickly followed up with a second cast. Without warning, a pillar of heavenly flame cascaded down from the skies in order to rain divine retribution upon one of the treants obstructing the vanguard’s path forward. Having created a brief moment of disarray among the enemy ranks, he’d shout out to The Admiral with a bit of encouragement. "Didn't realize you traded your balls for a fear of heights! Get a hold of your spine, or an enemy's for all I care and get back into the fray!" It appeared as though she had some personal issues to deal with prior to resuming her blind rage.
