The Yladian Siege Towers have stopped, maintaining a rather large distance from the wall. From their vantage point, they continue to fire at the people manning the wall. Although it may seem as though they were relenting on their attacks, their hard stop was strategic and served as a way for them to keep the wall defense in check while they escorted a massive red Oakheart up to the gate.

This massive titans walked slowly, escorted by archers and shielded troops until it was right up against the reinforced metal door. With its large fist, it began barraging the gate with furor, letting out deafening roars... if it breaks though... this is going to be trouble if it breaches the gate.

We need support, please, our troop have to overextend to bring down the Oakheart, but we'll take heavy damage to do so.

If any support is currently helping inside the castle, please heal the defenders on the wall.

    Damage
Damage: Everyone who have posted thus far must subtract 5% HP and 5% EN from the appropriate bbcodes. No modifier.

    0/4 Supports
Four supports (Illumancy, Muse, or Naturamancy; cannot have tank mastery) must be present in this thread by next cycle or everyone in the thread will receive 25% damage next cycle. Make sure to high light the fact that you are a support.

Support also get to roll to add progress to the track, but must divide their final result by 2.
This is because supports are busy supporting (to prevent the 25% damage) and contributing to the fight only half as much.

    Counter-Attack

Do everything you can to bring that Oakheart. To bring it down, you must bring the number below 8000 before the next cycle or the castle (support thread) will receive 1000 damage.
For this cycle, anyone with Geomancy and Pyromancy will get +10 modifier to their roll per mastery tier (except beginner). +20 for Expert rank. The red Oakheart is weak to both of these magic.

If a Saboteur rolls lower than 50, they may not post in this thread (the cooldown will be based on the roll). More and more people are showing up and situations have been complicated... You'll have to be more careful now.

  4. Rudiford had no idea what he had gotten himself into when he chose to answer the emergency summoning by Falderen. The next thing he knew, he was transported to a transportation crystal inside Castle Dormont. Scrolling through the event chat like a madman, he spent some time catching up before he tightened his grip on his large sword.

“Alright, there’s no better time to die than today, I suppose… let’s go help the wall team fend the attack of those pesky elves,” Rudi said as he quickly sprinted out into the front of the castle.

As expected, it was pure chaos and madness, he had never seen anything like a war before, the bloodshed and threatening attack left him breathless and ecstatic as he quickly ran toward a man who was trying to pour hot oil onto the Oakheart and did as much as he can to deflect the arrows, to keep him safe.

  7. The call had gone out for aid fighting off a massive Red Oakheart at the gates. Sera knew that while her support was helpful, what she could repair wouldn't be as much as what she could hopefully help stop getting damaged when it came to this living bartering ram. Tapping into her Astramancy to mimic pyromancy, she chanted the entire time she made her way to the castle's defense.

The fireball she had prepared was huge by the time she could see the oakheart. She released the spell toward the beast, but her aim had been off. It veered to the side and exploded in an inferno of heat, luckily heating the creature with the edges of its effect. She frowned. Maybe she would have been more helpful if she had kept repairing the walls...

No time to think that way. She had to act. Keep fighting. Negative thoughts would only freeze her up, and prevent her from attacking. She had to press on.

  10. Noah was a bit worried, the enemy’s siege machines had pulled back quite a bit making it hard for the castle’s anti-siege weapons to really reach far. He had been too busy focusing on some of the elves that were running towards the ground troops of the castle. He had picked off a couple of them but still they were able to continue their assault. Noah was about to launch another attack when a massive moving creature caught his eye. It seemed that the enemy had pulled back for a reason, they were making way for this oakheart. It seemed to be a reddish tint in color, was that its natural look or was it just colored from the blood of the enemies that it had already slayed. Surrounding the oakheart was several archers and melee style fighters.

They were able to fight their way through the defenses until they were right at the gate. Noah aimed his anti-siege weapon right at the beast and began to unleash any sort of attack he was capable of performing. The machine he was using beeped and cranked, making numerous odd sounds. He hoped that it was going to be able to keep going without exploding. The troops up here were taking heavy damage from the enemy’s archers and siege machines, if they did not get some healers up here they would start dropping like flies.

  13. Finally! An opening to heal! Aaron jumped up, looking around for those who he could support as best as he could. He chanted, casting defensive spells, healing, and buffs to everyone he could. He knew he wasn't doing much offensively, so this was the best he could hope for. This was what he was better at doing anyway, he thought.

He was aware of the large, Red Oakheart attacking the gates. Anyone who looked to be casting fire magic he tried his best to send a buff their way. That was the best he could do.

He prayed. He prayed to all the gods of this world he thought had any chance of answering him. He hoped his faith and his healing would be enough. He could tell the elves were preparing for something big. Aaron wasn't a man who typically let his fear speak to him much, but he couldn't deny the sinking feeling in his chest that they needed more help if they were to stand any chance.

  16. Although Astor was busy stoking the flame to help @Ash cook, everything changed the moment he received a message from the wall defense raid leader. Looking at the girl with a concerned look on his face, he asked, “So it seems that the defense group is going to need some backup, what are you going to? Will you stay here or will you head to the wall?”

Regardless of her answer, he knew he had to drop everything and get up to the wall as fast as he can. After all, he was one of the more well-known Pyromancer, what would they say about him if he wasn’t there to torch those pesky tree invaders? After their little chat, Astor did his best to get the camp fire going before he took off into the keep, where he ascended a long flight of stairs before he ran across a long rampart to get to the front of the castle. It was an absolute shit show with arrows and spells being flung everywhere, he would genuinely be surprised if he wasn’t hit with friendly fire at least once.

When he got to the battlement, he stuck his head over the wall and began reciting a new spell he had learned. “Zen agros ignituk formornr gyl ven thalathas demorliste!!!” After he finished his chant, his eyes began to spark with flame as he summoned a storm of fire swords to rain down on the Oakheart below, setting it aflame from all of the oil that has been pouring down on it.

The creature roared out from what might have been possibly pain.

  19. Alpha frowned as the gate was barraged by arrows and troops and, climbing back up the wall since her last attack, she noticed several people injured; including several faces that she knew either from her guild or personal contact. "Don't worry guys, I got you!" she breathed, green magic enchanting her fingers as she sang a sweet melody under her breath. She was, by no means, a bard or experienced healer of any kind, but she certainly had some supportive spells in her repertoire. "Ringiovanire!"

She placed her palm downward at the tip of the barricade, strings of green light branching off here and there. Hopefully the spell would help minimize the damage and protect her allies for the time being.

  22. At this point Ju already had quite a few superficial wounds, whether from from the arrows that rained down prior or from enemy elves that managed to snuck in. Her opponent constantly attack and some hits would end up grazing the pink haired fighter. Eventually, Ju managed to lock the elf’s spear with her arm and kick him in his guts. Thanks to her berserker mastery kicking in as she received damage the blow was powerful enough to send the enemy to the ground. Ju quickly approached th e fallen elf and pierced him once, twice, thrice. On the fourth, however…

She could hear roars as the structure trembled with it each large crash that came from beyond the castle entrance. After breaking the spears wooden handle, Ju sprinted at max speed towards outside; however, she could do little about the giant tree slamming its hands against the gates. Instead, she focused on the enemies guarding the creature. Smash a shielder’s head with their shield, suplex some archers, and her best punches and kicks to keep the elven troops from gathering any closer to the gate.

  25. Felicitas stared in horor as the oakheart practically waltzed up to the gates and started to beat them down. That was not good.
    Very, very, very not good.
She raised her hands quickly, preparing to cast, but paused as she felt the rumble of the oakheart beating on the castle. She was never going to hit it out of this little arrow slit. She could barely see the thing!
She ran a bit down the corridor she was in, finding a more open window, or more accurately, hole in the wall, and leaned out, lining up her shot. From her much better vantage point, she could see just how red the thing was. Somehow, that seemed to fit in her mind.
She began to chant quickly, summoning an impressive blast of fire that engulfed the beast.
She grinned maliciously, moving to find an even better spot for her next shot.

  28. Beatle wasn’t sure just how much damage he’d done, but he grinned to himself anyways, believing his action to be just. However, there’s no such word when it comes to war. He’d received a message from one of the locals, requesting any support they could get before a larger than average Oakheart assaulted the gate. Beatle knew that there would be some pretty heavy casualties if he didn’t intervene.

Beatle felt torn, for though he may side morally with the aggressors in this situation, he would be on the receiving end of this attack, and that didn’t bode well. Plus, those around him were in desperate need of help, and Beatle had the means to help them. What kind of person would he be if he just left them to die?

Beatle sighed. Sticking with a side during conflict was hard, especially when you don’t know enough about the situation. He clicked his tongue, grabbed his guitar, and rushed back towards the wall, heading to a different part than what he’d just attacked. He only prayed people weren’t watching his actions, else they’d be pretty confused by now.

Once he got to the wall, he began playing his guitar furiously, casting Ballad of Harmony to heal as many people around him as he could.

  31. A loud roar carried through the whole casle, so loud it made Ilusa flatten her ears and her tail twitch annoyed. But then came an earthquake-like sound, the the stones rumbled again, as id something rammed against the walls. Then came a message and her eyes brightened up with excitment.

Front-lines (of sorts) where enemies would be able to see their damage being undone!
Quickly shoving half of her medicine into the worker/healer hands, she then followed the trail of people willing to help. A quick bustle of everyone running onto the walls. In the chaotic sea of people she saw the blonde hair of @Astor Balthas and she kept an eye on him, even as she glanced around.

Climbing onto the walls, she hid behind them, crawling to not get hit by the flying arrows. She saw the siege towers. Saw archers. Saw the red monster whose pounding made the stone beneath her hands and knees tremble. Still, she hid and healed. Recovery spell, a healed soldier that got up and returned to fire at the enemy. Followed by recovery spell and a another soldier getting up. Slowly she crawled, hiding behind the walls from the hail of arrows and then bumped into the blonde with noble visage, who just finished his attack. “Hi~” She waved, loking up at him, her hands were bit smeared with the blood of the wounded soldiers she healed.

Still, judging by the situation and the Stamana she had, she could give an attack spell here or there before healing. And thus she did so, ears twitching, she peaked out and discreetly clicked the icon for the attack spell. After the chanting, and the attack, she ducked back, gave another smile to Astor, then crawled around him and healed the nearest to him wounded soldier.

  35. (first time in this thread so no damage taken yet)

Hearing the crash of the gates, Lemming ran from the well and food she had been poisoning and rushed up the steps to the tops of the walls where the gatehouse lay. There was a massive creature attempting to batter its way in, and all around it a sea of soldiers hoping to penetrate the defenses and slaughter everyone within. She smiled; death was a thing she had faced before without issue or consequence, and even if the invaders killed her, she would benefit from their rule more than she benefited from King Theo’s reign. Stepping past the gatehouse, she inspected the damaged walls and shouted at an archer standing nearby.

“GIVE ME SPACE! I’m a geomancer, I can mend this to stop that thing!” she snapped. She placed her magical staff to the stonework as the man moved aside from cover in the hopes of giving her room to work, only to catch an arrow in the neck. The idiot. Working her magic into the walls around the gate, she tried to reach down and widen the fissures being beaten into it. Knock knock. Who’s there? Lemming, and the power she could already taste.

  38. Ash had gotten up and rushed to the wall as soon as she received the message. She wasn't great at healing in particular, but at this point it seemed like any help at all would be appreciated. "Hey!" Ash called, as soon as she arrived. "I've got some healing, if anyone's hurt come to me!"

In the mess of people at the wall, her shout was almost lost in the throng. But it seemed that it carried to at least the few people closest to her. They didn't seem particularly hurt but nodded at her as she arrived and quickly directed her to a group of bleeding defenders packed away in the back areas, away from the brunt of the fighting.

Ash did her best to hide her nervousness as she stepped forward. Her spell list was still quite barren, but she did have Enriched Nectar available to her. Tapping into her reserves of energy, she started casting the healing spell, conjuring up trumpet-shaped flowers filled with healing nectar that she helped feed to the injured.

  41. The walls had gathered up enough defenders, but they still weren't enough. Sera chanted, desperately, this time taking care that she would aim her spell. She couldn't afford to miss again. She fiddled with the ring on her finger that Aaron Steele had given her as she chanted. She wondered where he was. If he was safe. How he was doing. She pushed those thoughts from her mind. He could take care of himself. He was fighting. That's what she needed to be doing.

She launched the fireball at the oakheart, a smaller one this time, but it was a direct hit. She shouted with joy, before quickly quieting herself. Shouting on a battlefield was a good way to draw unnecessary attention to yourself. She was no tank, she was a squishy mage. She ducked behind some cover. She wasn't sure if they had done enough yet. But they would. They had to. She knew they could. She clenched her fist tightly. She hoped the assault forces were having better luck. She didn't know how much their efforts would help, but anything had to be useful at this point, right? If they could bring down this Oakheart, Sera figured it might demoralize some of the attackers. It was a race - this moment here, despite being so soon in the attack, would likely determine everything.

  44. Not enough was happening. They needed more. That oakheart was still a huge threat. Aaron frowned. What could he do to get rid of it? He pondered, before shaking his head. He wasn't a tactician, he didn't plan battles. He fought. He attacked, he raised his shield, and he cast spells.

So that's what he would do. Aaron chanted, once more readiyng to go on the offensive. When he finished his chant, or perhaps it was more a prayer really, he sent the hammer of light flying at the Oakheart.

He wasn't sure if it really did anything. He frowned. Was his faith not strong enough? He ducked behind some cover and prepared for the coming counterattack as best as he could. Gods, they needed help. They needed help bad. "If any of you are listening," he prayed. "This would be a good time to show some kind of help."
