  1. Roland's lips twisted in disappointment as the elder agreed to the other's terms forming a guard to escort them out to the front line. Things were going from bad to worse, but there simply wasn't much they could do about it considering they were surrounded by armed guards. He'd shoot Jack a glance, hoping to figure out what was going on in his head. The man seemed far less content than he should have been considering this was seemingly his idea.

Suppressing a grimace Roland scratched his chin. Going forward with this plan would mean burning the Falderan bridge he had created. Granted there wasn't much that they had offered him for his services, but the elves promise of mystic magic really didn't impress him either. Yulan seemed to be a nice guild, but it was clearly geared towards magic users, there was no doubt they'd continue to side with the elves.

    It just seemed wrong.

Roland could use some of his poison on some of the troop's food and sabotage the war effort.

But that seemed wrong as well as considering he'd have to stab his guild in the back. (And likely not make it out alive)

Regardless he'd be betraying someone. So who?

Racked with indecision Roland had difficulty resting with the rest of the team. As the food was passed, and each ate their fill Roland realized his time for action had passed. He did not like it, but this was the position he was in, fight with the elves or die a traitors death. Might as well stop holding back and go all in. "So..." Roland said breaking a tense silent moment, "We need a plan.." Several thoughts swirled in his mind, "I don't think a direct assault will work even with our guilds sabotaging the insides of the castle. I also don't think it's needed. If the druids can transform into the oak trees at will, all we need to do is get a few inside the castle walls, from there it will be easy..." Roland paused eyeing the rest of his teammates. "I think we should pretend to 'capture' Jack, Merkaba, Steel, and a few druids, and bring them to the castle posing as heroes, and launch an attack from within."

He realized this was slightly in contrast to what Jack had said before, but he didn't believe that the guilds could simply take the castle by diplomacy alone. They'd have to root out the defenders somehow.

  2. There were a great, great many things that the Admiral needed to discuss with Jack once they were in private situation and could do so. Sending private messages back and forth could feasibly work, but the elves mentioned old magic and that posed the risk of a special "spell" that allowed them to listen in on player communications. Nothing in the game suggested that wouldn't be a possibility, and the Admiral sighed and suggested as much once Roland was done speaking.

"First- there's a slight chance they could have 'magic' to listen to PMs so avoid sensitive information in those. We can't guarantee their security in light of recent events. Ere on the side of pessimism and only use them to relay brief details to the front lines as necessary. Secondly, your plan is awful Roland. Despite their strength and value as 'hostages' the entrenched forces would have no reason to take them captive or trust us. If we marched up with them, wouldn't the entire elven force simply stop us from reaching the gates? We couldn't put on a show convincing enough to 'prove' we were on the Castle's side anymore. Besides, it places our command structure in harm's way. This calls for a swift axe chop."

Sighing, she glanced at one of the elves keeping watch over them while they had their temporary rest.
"I would appreciate if you, or any other guard and spy listening, could ask one of the druids if blocking gateway and messaging magic is possible if they collectively pool their strength. We need to stop the Castle from gating in reinforcements or sending a message to the kingdom, assuming they haven't already found a way to do so, or this will only get more difficult. It needs to be done now." She pulled out a rusted dagger and began to draw the castle's layout in the sand, as a visual reference.

"First, cut their communications and reinforcements. Then, press them from three sides. Penetrate the keep's rooftop. Come in from the courtyard main entrance. Press in from any breaches we can create in the walls. It's a simple blitzkrieg game at this point, assuming they can't call in help, to overwhelm them. We should also have the elves keep an eye out for Kingdom scouts in the woods, who might be coming to check on the battle. We don't want them getting information that way."

  3. Remaining silent as he watched the elder speak and seem rather annoyed with him he'd rub the back of his head, as he made his decisions clear and signed the two contracts he'd nod and approach, "Sorry I had not a preset idea in mind. Where I come from one does not request a document signed but there is an even exchange of aid. I want you to form an alliance with my guild, but I will also need access to trade, discussions with your generals and scholars; you have some mighty warriors. However, I admire a sharp mind far greater. I'd also personally like for you to form a committee between our alliance. There are other details there, mainly information on demons and the alliance itself. But as for my stance, I'd like you to read it over.

Then, when done fill in your list of desires, outside of protecting and aid. I want to formally apologize. I was far too presumptuous. I hope I did not make a bad impression, I'd hope to learn more about you and this land with time. Not being from here, it's not exactly easy to navigate nor properly understand the reprecussions.I'm just glad we were able to bring your daughter back safe. My guild would like to be the heroes of this country, not just to humans but of all races. Please, give us that chance and prove it to you today." he'd say as the two discussed and signed the agreed upon contract. Cutting his thumb and pressing it to the paper; before the game registered an identical contract before him using the hud.

"Thank you, my blood seals our agreement, you have not only my aid as a person but the support of my guild and its members." Sending a brief notice to his guild he'd up date them on what was going on. Exciting he'd hustle over to @Jack Anders and @Merkaba. "Hey, let's talk..." motioning them away from the others, "I feel like we are disrupting this game's political agenda and structural system, this being said we are going to piss off a lot of NPCs. I made sure my contract mentioned an alliance and a committee of sorts composed of all members of the alliance. I'd like us all to participate; as well as some NPC Traders, Nobels, basically any race in it. Thoughts?"

OOC: Mention and reinforce my contract ignored; specifying my plans and future actions in regards to aid, trade, etc. Most importantly trying to set up a committee for this alliance. Need the two guild leaders to dicuss and agree; before Discussing combat plans in the morning as we head to the castle in our next post.

  4. She would walk just a bit slower than the rest, and lag behind a little bit. It was her natural prefrence to either be at the front or the rear of a formation when moving, and this was no exception. She reflected on the events and actions of the day, and mused about what would happen tomorrow. She couldn't think of anything beyond strategizing for the attack tomorrow, and one after another, she contrived and dismissed plans one by one. Her plans were eitehr too convoluted, dangerous, or just outright ineffective. She hated to admit it but their only real option was storming the gate and finishing the job that the original attackers had started. All they could really do is make a few minor changes here and there to the overall plan to help ensure their success.

She also had to stop and consider that they had little mroe than a rough estimate as to how many other players manning the stronghold right now had chosen to defect. That would be a major factor when all was said and done. Too many variables were in play for her to really do anything besides throw ideas at the wall, but it's all they could do until they had a chance to sit down and discuss strategy.

  5. Merkaba's contract was signed... now it was only a matter of time.

The Dark Lady had thrown the pebble to start this ripple. She had no care for how far it would spread honestly. More infighting and bloodshed between the races just gave her the time she needed to make the pacts she seeked. Alliances, committees, whoever got caught in the crossfire.... it was all meaningless. Just more souls for darkness to make it's bid for. Merkaba's goal for the rest of this battle was to keep her cult from sustaining too much damage and to reap as many souls of the weak as she could for her own growth.

There were two major issues that she still wished she had a solution for. The demonic forces were still a complete mystery and the elder did not share very much else before he signed. Leaving the more detailed information for a later date. If the elves had lied, she would have just wasted her time... although it was not like she held great love for a city called the 'Holy Capital'. The second was King Theodore's true objectives and views. If the Falderen Kingdom was able to sustain itself. Merkaba would love to look into if he was perhaps... convertible? All of this chaos would surely be putting some strain on the man. For now, the only thing that mattered was the now sadly.

A large warrior the witch had rarely seen around came to her. He was the head of the Valor guild. She would not offer him the time of day right now.

"Forgive me. I have much to attend to myself. Perhaps we can discuss this another time. If Jack here wants to entertain you, I'm sure that will suffice."

    The Journey

When Steel stayed behind to discuss more with the Elder Yladian, the man stamped the document that was drafted rather quickly as well, intending on going back and flesh it out more once the battle for Castle Dormont has concluded. The newcomers were on a rather strict schedule and the Elder did not want to keep them discussing politics for long when the party had to rush back to the siege group.

Considering how passionate and heated people were getting at discussing strategy and tactics for the siege, there was no time to rest. By the time ‘rest’ had even crossed the group’s mind, Vlethela had already made all the arrangements for the journey to the battlefront.

According to the Yladian Priestess, it seemed that with the preamble contracts signed, Elder Jal was interested in the tactics the party had, in order to take Castle Dormont without smashing it smithereens as he had originally intended. Thus, he had sent words to the commanders at the siege camp to receive an unanimously agreed-on battle plan for the siege the day after. It would be up to the party to set everything up and to witness if their plan would pay off or not.
