The Admiral looked Amane over, finding it easier than watching Roland's retreating back. She wanted to shout at him, but it would have been pointless. War was not about what made you happiest, it was about what won.
"The fog is merely to obfuscate our numbers and make it harder for them to shoot the main formation- as for the amount of fog. Have you ever gone driving hours after a heavy rain, and been unable to see ten feet ahead of you? It's a common enough thing near Appalachia, which is close to our setting. Aided with magic, we can turn the natural fog that will occur after it stops raining into an obscuring blanket to mask our army.
We shouldn't need to worry about infiltration from the defenders; most were crafters, and it would be suicide to try and take on the main formation outside, or sneak into it. As for the DPS team I think it would be best to send in as a flanking move: everyone on that team will know who is on that team. So there will be no confusion about friend and foe for them as they sweep the castle, room by room. Unfortunately their limited numbers mean taking prisoners is... not an option, without reinforcements to keep said prisoners behaving. This means that any PC or NPC they encounter needs to be eliminated with extreme prejudice."
