Wow, the priest's expert sure was rude. Decked out in a full and, dare she say it, overcompensating set of gear, with a nonchalant attitude, the man screamed of a superiority complex the likes of which she rarely saw amongst NPCs that worked often with adventurers. Was it because they were both of the felis race? Amane knew that most NPCs with status tended to look down on the cat-like people, viewing them as slaves or lowly help, worthy only of the most mundane manual work, never mind that players were on a whole other level entirely.
She took a seat, crossing her legs and restraining herself from shooting the so-called expert dirty glares. There was no need to be rude in front of their quest giver, and rescuing the elf from under the guy's nose would have to be vengeance enough. Still, it was hard not to resent his presence, when arrogance practically emanated from his person — not only was he unneeded and probably a pain to work with, but he was going to be a hindrance as well, because being players, and coming from the 21st century Amane knew that she could mostly trust her party members to hold similar morals. When push came to shove, any decisions they made together shouldn't be too hard for her to stomach. But there was a high possibility that, whatever route they tried to go in the end, that this professional would oppose their decision.
She let Alonso handle most of the questions, investigation not being her strong suit, though she thought she did decently well during this one quest with Roland. But the blue headed felis seemed more than happy to take charge, and two people firing off questions would only overwhelm the priest, so Amane chose to remain silent, leaning back against the chair, nodding along occasionally to show her support and attention. She hadn't thought that the noble was the one who wanted the elf back, only that the priest couldn't bear to risk the elf wandering unchecked on Falderen soil, but now that Alonso had brought it up, it sounded like a pretty plausible reason. So this was more than helping out some priest, but one that could potentially drag in Falderen politics if they weren't careful...
Speaking of careful, a commotion outside the room quickly drew her attention, and Amane sprang to her feet, already making her way to the door behind Alonso before he'd even gave the command to. Rushing over, she soon spotted a mass of white hair, two perked ears perched on top, and with a dawning mix of amusement and exasperation she realised that the fuss the disciples were making had to be about none other than Dempsey. Shooting her a discreet wink, Amane crossed her arms, keeping silent for now as she waited to see how Demps wanted to explain this situation off. Was she going to keep up her charade, or at last admit to be the third and final member of the party? Either way, she would play along with what the other two felis' decided.
