  1. Errant was the sort of guy that really wouldn't do this on any other occasion; though in this case it was his literal job. The job of a man of his type wasn't usually quite so hands-on. Usually, it involved sitting around a tablet for hours on end sketching out every last detail. It got tiring, but god dammit was he good at it. His pen moved as fast as his brain, and his brain moved somewhat slow. Analyzing every detail was literally his job, so he got pretty good at it. It's not like he had any insane deadlines either. None that were given as insane ones.

Usually those were a matter of him being lazy. Lazy until he could no longer be lazy, and then you ran into the problem of the laziness actually causing problems and well it was a chain reaction. A chain reaction that could've went seriously wrong if it weren't for his fast fingers. Though he was sure a certain boy in his life could attest to those fast fingers, that wasn't what was currently on his mind. Not completely.

A lot of his brain was decidedly towards figuring out what he was currently doing with his life. He was going to set up camp, outside a bandit camp, pretend not to realize it to get captured, and then get bound up and brought into a camp. Sure, she had her cat next to her, but that wasn't much in the face of what they were going to do.

"We'll set up a fire and get their attention, pretend to be camping out."

It was night time after all.

Though things could be far worse. He could be trying this alone, without backup of a somewhat skilled character. That could be happening. But he had the cat.

That meant she was somewhat safe.

  2. "Make a fire, punch some faces. All in a day's work. Leave it to me. I literally make a campfire every other day. The things are just so warm, and beautiful. Plus, campfire cookin' sure is tasty. Ever have pork cook over a fire? Now that's meat."

Akino would begin wandering their clearing, moving about to collect wood. He started with smaller pieces, bending down to pick up dry twigs and pine needles. Occasionally he would stop to snap the dead end off a branch pointing out towards them. If he had to say anything about the place, he would say that it sure had a decent amount of dead wood. Granted that it was the height of summer, and the sun was constantly baking down overhead. It made for the perfect kindling pile. Tossing the small mass he had gathered to the side, he'd back over to the perimeter. There was one small, dried out tree just begging to be burned to bits. Moving towards it, a few swipes and kicks later he would have a handful of larger branches, ready to be burnt up. That'd be more than enough for a quick fire.

"So, what's the plan after they spot us? They come over, we pretend to be helpless newbies? Assuming they don't try and murder us right out, what then? Let them take us back to their camp? Or do we just break out on the road? Also, what makes you so sure that they will even take us captive, Amazon? I fairly sure the goal of the enemies is to kill the players, unless there is some sort of sub-plot here."

He used his hands to clear out a small hole in the center of the clearing, surrounding it by the wet earth he had upturned. Once it was about three quarters of a foot deep, he begin tossing his kindling in piece by piece, building up a steady tepee with the bits. It burst into flames the moment he took a light beneath it, steadily working to devour itself. Placing other bits of branches around the edge, raising the tent further, the flames would lick out and begin to rise with it.

    "How's this for a fire?"
He inquired of the Amazon, motioning towards the half foot fire, kicking up embers as the wind breathed some more life into it.

  3. If they didn’t kill them outright? What kind of game designers would design a game that had bandits kill you right away? Either way, the cat posed a point. One he couldn’t ignore without being an idiot. Though, within the realm of his character, her emotions hadn’t changed. She nodded to his fire comment, and was looking over the fire. It was an odd, tranquil feeling. She’d have to go after this feeling more often. Just a nice fire, across from a nice fellow who liked tea. It was a generally nice time.

Though, his concern was with the bandits.

“Think about it. Bandits, at this point in a game, would either be far too easy to beat, or if they are difficult, would just take you captive. It’s game design, and I’m not sure an MMO would stray from a solid formula. I might just be an artist in real life, but I play an incredulous amount of video games, and I have to be almost certain.”

She sat next to the fire, looking deeper into it. It was a perplexing feeling, this. It almost felt like he enjoyed this whole thing. This wasn’t combat, but it was physical on multiple levels, whether he liked it or not. That was just the simple fact of the matter. This feeling was all to physical, and his character showed that she wasn’t quite used to such a...well, comfortable feeling. Her body language was all sorts of off.

“Plus, if they try to kill us, we have you.”
