  1. Val grunted and growled as he helped tug on the wooden beams that constructed the tower. Being a mage made such strenuous tasks all the more difficult, but he managed to put enough effort in with his natural strength alone. To his delight, since 'stamina' and 'mana' were the same thing, the mana boost that his cotton hood and gloves granted him boosted his stamina reserves at the same time, and it took him a long time before he was notably huffing and puffing.

Breaking away from the tower, he strolled along beside it momentarily, peeking at the other siege weapons and how they were being moved. One player, the leader of the current siege and the main reason for the sudden army of turncoats, was using his pyromancy to harden the mud. It was a neat idea, but Val had a better one. Turning around and heading to the front of the tower while walking backwards, he aimed his palms at the muddy and rain-clogged earth. "Nullam," he whispered, and frost burst forth from his palms, spreading a thin path of ice in front of each set of giant wheels. The frost decreased the friction with the earth and flattened the landscape across which the wheels ran, helping the tower along without Val having to push.

  2. Manual labor. It was something she had only ever experienced in the virtual world, but even here, she wasn't actually equipped to help out in that fashion. While she could probably help, chances were she was likely just going to get in the way. She might trip on a rock, her sandals might slide on the slick mud or much worse.

No, her best use here was to support everyone else. She looked through her little notebook, one she'd written in her spare time with a list of songs that felt appropriate to what sort of spell she was going to use and picked the one that lent strength to tired limbs. Empowerment of strength was one of the fundamental signature effects of muse spells and it seemed appropriate for this event.

She needed to find somewhere that she could stand upon that provided the best vantage for her to reach as many people as possible, a task that took a little over five minutes but whens he was ready she set her instrument against her shoulders, bracing it against her neck and she drew the bow back, ready to unleash the sweet sounding music that would make help these toiling men finish their job faster.

Finally, despite the nasty rain, we managed to push the siege towers up against the wall. Good job everyone, let's help the parachute team now, we still need those parachutes for our air raid. [location]

I didn't realize Hydromancy, Pyromancy, Aeromancy, and Geomancy would be help us so much in pushing the siege towers. Buy those mages (including me) a drink after all of this is over.

The preparation for the ground forces is now complete. All posting cool downs have been removed. Head to (Special Event) Crafting Parachutes to assist with the parachutes.
