  3. As the weather started to give in, Ju’s climbing speed considerably increased in response. However, as she continued to climb an enemy mage was casting at the elves and other adventurers trying to climb. Ju gritted her teeth, keeping her eyes alert on his chant while climbing as fast as possible. When the mage’s intonation changed and the arcane orb he held in hand grew in size, the mage launched the orb on the troops. However, before it could reach it’s destination Ju anticipated the spell and prepared her right fist, literally punching it back the caster before it could build enough momentum and explode on her hand.

The orb was launched back at the mage and exploded upon contact, knocking him unconscious. A few more pulls between the crevices on the wall and she finally made it to the top of the wall. Ju could notice other adventurers on the top as well, readied to fight. As if following their steps, she readied herself on her not so stylish and crude fighting stance. "Just a little bit more, Shizuru. We're almost done with this..." she whispered to herself.

Phew, okay, great job team. The air raid has been a complete success. We pretty much just need to help the ground force mount the wall now. It should be easier without any enemies around.

So all that's left for the aerial force to do now is to smash the door in. Everyone got it?

Finally, the aerial team has been able to completely take over the outer part of the keep's third level. With this new development, it is MUCH easier for the ground force to take their time in climbing up. Any progress you make now will only help the ground force.

Roll cool down has been reduced to every 3 hours due to the intensity of the battle.

@Ilusa Nakhalee @Lucia Mierz @Roland Rutledge @Ju Huan-Xiang @The Admiral posting cool downs are now refreshed.

This thread is now connected to (Special Event) Air Raid.

    Damage
If your total die is less than the 60 or 50 (if you're a Felis) in the last cycle, subtract 10 from your HP.

    Healing
Beginner heals 5 HP for 5 EN.
Novice and Trained heals 10 HP for 5 EN. AoE: heal 3 targets for 3 HP for 5 EN.
Proficient and Adept heals for 15 for 5 EN. AoE: heal 3 targets for 4 HP for 5 EN.
Expert heals for 20 HP for 5 EN. AoE: heal 3 targets for 6 HP for 5 EN.

If AoE healing, tag the 3 targets.

1 Revive with no death affliction per event per support.

You can still roll the [progress die] if you want to heal, but divide the final result by 2 after all modifiers.

    Extra
For this cycle, everyone gets a +5 modifier to their roll per mastery tier (except beginner). +10 for Expert rank.

Anyone with these mastery: Geomancy, Pyromancy, Arcanamancy, Astramancy, Engineer, Tinker, Alchemy, Bludgeon (1H & 2H) can add +10 per relevant mastery tier above beginner (Expert rank provides +20). This is for breaking the door.

There is no longer a roll requirement to climb to the top of the keep to regroup with the aerial team.

Saboteur Objective: Either fight the invaders or throw rocks at them, or heal heal the defenders.

  7. After he finished his announcement, he looked around to make sure the ground force were progressing up the wall properly without any enemy targeting them. At the corner of his eyes, he spotted @Ilusa Nakhalee among the horde of turtles climbing up the wall. When she reached the top, he grabbed onto her ankle and playfully shook her with every intension of catching her should she lose her balance and fall.

“Hey you, you made it in once piece, is everything still intact?” the blonde said with a teasing tone as he inched closer to her legs and inspected them. While they did spend a night together, they were still fairly new to the other’s quirks, but regardless he teased her all the same.

“Can you heal the wounded people here? We took a lot of beating from the defending troop before he managed to take over this level.” Astor’s words were firm; he needed to maintain a proper raid commander feel so people could confidently put their trust in time.

When another player beckoned for his attention to inform him that the doors are ready to be blasted open if they simply set up the siege machinery outside of the doors, to which the blond responded by coming right up to a door and began to barrage it with his explosive spells, doing massive number on the door. However, before he could fully burst it open, he ran out of steam and needed to take a quick time-out…

  10. It seemed that the fight was really being taken to the defenders now, as the ground forces finally overcame whatever had been slowing them down and joined in with the already engaged air drop units. Earley had sustained a few hits during the exchanging bouts of fire from one side and the other, but it was hardly anything he had to worry about hindering him. He kept close to Merkaba and Jack and Astor who appeared to be, amongst the most powerful political leaders present, the class canons of the group that would be able to put the most punishment upon defending forces. Stepping up beside Astor, he watched as the powerful mage let out a furious torrent of flame upon the fortifications. Quite impressive... He put his own hands together and began to chant under his breath, letting out a wide beam of arcane energy that began to peel away at the same area Astor had been focusing on, trying to add to the damage the mage had given. To widen the chink in the enemy's armor, so to speak.

  13. Stone ground and pricked under nails. Many screamed as a sludge of tar came streaming down from above. Those who say tar moves slowly haven’t seen it be dropped before. Aeiou now had the distinct pleasure and horror to say that he had. And with that horror came a tremor to his fingers, enough so to cause him to falter. He skidded down a few feet, digging his fingers further into the rock. This was going to be a long trek up …

It didn’t seem that way for the Admiral, however. The last Aeiou had seen her, she was in no place to be making progress. And yet, here she was, scaling up the wall like a woman possessed. It was admirable. And informative. Aeiou hurriedly shadowed her process, placing his hand in the notch the woman’s foot had just left, quickly gaining ground. Before he knew it, he was reaching the top, crouching between two parapets, nose inches away from the back of the Admiral’s armor. Slowly, his legs straightened underneath him. Standing on the parapet, Aeiou experienced what it was like to be tall for the first time in his life.

He liked it. If there was ever a time to be useful, it was when he could see the entire battlefield from a bird’s-eye view.

So he was going to keep that view. The only way he knew how.

”Sorr-REE!” The apology would have to do, because Aeiou was already finding new handholds on the Admiral’s helmet and hoisting himself up onto her shoulders. A few shifts of a robe here, a few grunts and near-topples there, and the Faerin had found himself a new mount, and she was a blood-thirsty warmonger. He took his halberd off from his back. To any other, it looked like a kitten with a toothpick. But it was kitten with a toothpick on the back of a wave of misery.

    You folks miss us?

Having taken care of things in an alarmingly fast fashion, their group had rushed over after forcefully repelling the enemies. Upon surveying the battlefield, the support immediately selected three targets (including himself) and proceeded to coalesce holy energy into one palm.

Without warning, two separate blobs of energy would blast down, smacking two individuals in the back of their heads while enveloping them in a brilliant glow that numbed their pain. Should they look up, they’d spot a familiar figure waving and standing near the edge of the battlements with a self-satisfied grin.

With how things were currently panning out, all that remained was to open the gate so that their Elven allies could also join the fray.

  19. “E-eeh?!” Whatever she expected when @Astor Balthas noticed her and walked over, it was not him grabbing her ankle and playfully shake it. Well, she thought it was meant to be teasing, the softer smirk on his face and the amusement in his eyes led her to such conclusion. Even if that made her grasp onto him, because this avatar was not used to such actions and those legs now felt almost like jelly.

“Hi. Nice to see your team finished their job so fast.” As Astor asked, she replied. “Yes.. By luck.” Ilusa was standing still and let him inspect her to his heart content. Familiar shadows climbed up to and they stayed at respectful distance glancing away. “There were people falling down. And swords and arrows and stones. The wall was not easy to climb either.” Pouting a little, her tail swishing, she pointed at herself. “This body is not used to work out like that.”

Hearing the next words her ears and tail literally perked up. “Yes! Of course! That is what I am here for. Leave it to me-” The felis paused to inspect him. “Hmm, your health looks like someone had healed it.. Or you never took a hit.” Then she shook her head. “Never mind, leave it me~” And then, eyes sparkling she ran over the indicated groups, spreading light and healing where she went… Shadowed by two familiar to her by now elves.

  22. Sera approached the door with a grin. She had been healing, and that was useful. But now she had been given a task to do that she could one hundred percent do that involved destroying something too! She began to chant, waving her arms as she prepared to harness the powers of both geomancy and pyromancy. A ball of earth floated in the air before her, responding to the motions of her left hand.

Suddenly the orb burst into flames that seemed to respond to her right hand. All the while, she chanted, beseeching unity between the two patrons she was requesting aid from. Finally it reached a point where she was fairly certain the destructive potential of the spell would cause a large dent to the door, if not blow it open. She launched the spell forward with a flourish and with flair. It slammed into the door in a fiery, earthy explosion.

    "Knock knock," she said.

  25. Roland deflected a blade aimed at his torso, with a quick strike before returning the favor in a slicing motion that took the man's arm off. The contest was won as the man hit the floor screaming while grabbing newly bloodied stump. Roland could only turn a quarter inch before another came at him with ruthless abandon. This soldier utilized a spear which zipped past Roland's face, clipping his ear sending a red streak down his cheek. Not to be deterred Roland countered the attempt as he pushed his twin blades forward into the man's gut before just as swiftly ripping them free sending a pile of internal organs to the floor.

Roland spun out of the way of another blade coming in his direction, its fall being misdirected by his shoulder piece. He didn't have time to punish the owner, however, as he found himself in a stare down with yet another soldier wielding a bow preparing to fire an arrow. Roland's guard skill activated sending his wrist forward as his red blade streaked in front of him, catching the arrow head and sending it safely out of Roland's way. He then sprinted forward slashing both of his blades in lop sided arcs that separated the man from his waist.

  28. Now that she was calmly up top, the Admiral popped her neck and rolled her shoulders to loosen herself up from the tightness and stress that climbing had put upon her. It felt as if a great burden had been lifted from her, as if a load had been taken off her shoulders. And then the feeling returned as small hands and feet grasped and kicked at her body, and she wondered for a panicked moment if the enemy had unleashed goblins with bombs strapped to them or some other sort of ridiculous trap.

    "AH! Hey! What?! NOO!"

As a soft "sorr-EEE!" sounded in her ear, she gave a snort at the familiar voice and shook her head to fix the position of her helmet. She waited for him to have his seating down right and proper, and then began to charge the now flaming gates that mages had battered with arcane energy. As one of the arguably strongest damage per second melee characters on the battlefield, she needed to be at that gate... And now she had somebody riding on top of her, to assist her in combat with his pointy little stick thing. What were those called? Oh yeah- bitch weapons.

"Let's get it open!" she shouted, charging with the little man at the gates, wailing into them full force.

  31. Gwyn sauntered up as fire, weapons, and all matter of might slammed into the gates of the castle. She watched it with a fire burning in her own eyes as the rush of the fight stilled hummed under her skin. This wasn't the end. There was still any number of soldiers, possibly reinforcements from the portal within, and who knew what else waiting for them like a steel-toothed trap. She found herself excited to find out what it was.

For now, the gates had to be brought down and they looked more than rugged and worn down. With the last few spells cast, she watched The Admiral charge with sharp eyes. She found herself far more impressed and charmed by the new woman than her more... loose counterpart. She'd never hated the previous one, but. Well, she was a little biased. The archer tilted her head with a faint scowl as the woman battered into the down with a terrible might and laughed sharply. "Admiral, it's a pull door, not a push!"

  34. Rook skittered about the raging war on nimble feet, content to dance about the fray as others worked hard against the final obstacles standing between them and the inner keep. Rook was a bit more entranced by all the magic and the storm about looked rather nice. They tugged at Aeromancy's patron curiously to draw its eye through them to watch the dangerous rolling of the clouds high above them. The swathes of color were dark, even with the dawning day's light. It, for a moment at least, seemed to pause in its furious whirl of power in some other world, but was quick to set back to a fury and push the emotion on the caster.

They sighed and pouted, as if chastened by it. The Sword-forged Tempest was sure in a right ripe mood. The last of the current stage in their siege was drawing to a close and they reluctantly turned from the beauty above to the chaos below. They could see the scattered shapes of their guild mates thrown in with the rest of the lot. One of said lot spoke up over The Gatewatcher they had read the cards for during the previous night. A short, manic giggle escaped them and Rook covered their mouth with their hands for a moment.

With a wide grin they tugged at The Biting Squall, who for once still lingered without purpose, and asked of it a boon. "Call down to rend, bite to slay, open the front that the storm might strike!" A moment's pause was all it took and a wind started up, a dust devil whirling to life around the warrior at the gate, The Admiral. It pressed against the gate, slipping between the worn cracks of the door and its seams. With a soft breeze toward the woman... the gates swung open with a faint creak. "The Tempest got the door for That One. A chivalrous titan, indeed."
