With the siege group storming the keep and taking over the outer part of the 3rd level, there doesn't seem to be anything that could stopping them from storming into the keep and taking it by force anymore.

Now is the time for you and the other innocent people to flee from the castle. Try to search every nook and cranny for people who are women, elderly, children, or wounded soldiers and retreat through the secret underground tunnel under neath the castle.

There are quite a few monsters who have turned the tunnel systems into their home, however, requiring you to protect the fleeing citizens from them. The tunnel should take you to a mountainside.

You may encounter large rats, vampiric giant worms, dire bats, and other creatures that live in the dark.

  4. The siege was overwhelming in its speed and viciousness. Since repelling the attackers wasn't an option anymore, the orders to lead the civilians out. Ash thankfully wasn't that injured when the defenders were forced to withdraw; it was going to be hard enough keeping track of people without having to manage her own wounds.

She was given terse directions to the tunnels that would lead towards the mountainside, and a sentence of warning about possible monsters lurking in the underground caves, and that was it. Ash grimaced as she saw an elderly man with a group of young children and teenagers surrounding him, all tucked away inside one of the side rooms of the keep.

"The keep is being evacuated," she said, trying to keep her voice calm while still conveying the urgency of the situation. "Stay close to me, we're going in the tunnels. And nobody wander off, we have to go quickly."

After making sure that the group was able to move, Ash started making her way towards the tunnels. She also invited any stray wounded soldiers that she passed to come with her; there was no time to reach the infirmary so she would have to heal them on the go as well.

  7. Well shit went to hell in a hand basket real fast.
Janne had a vague idea of what was going down due to the scurrying and sounds of fighting not so far away. Janne was doing his best to move the people out of the infirmary but most of the wounded could not walk. Those that could would already be on their way to the escape hatch, or somthing like that. Well there was no helping it.
Janne grabbed one of the men who was wounded and lent him his arms and legs.
As he slowly made his way to the rest of the people. Every one that has energy to spare help carry out the wounded. They cant get out on their own and we aint leaving them behind. Janne would say to the able bodied as he hobbled along with the man.
This was going to take a while if it where to continue like this Janne Handed the wounded man off to another nurse as he turned around and made his way back to the Infirmary.

  10. Despite wanting to stay behind to fight the invaders, Rudiford knew he wasn’t going to be able to win over the terrifying Astor Balthas, whom he had heard many of the soldiers talk about. Something about a fire-wielding blond demon who was solely responsible for the death of a bunch of soldiers on the top floor. Hearing about it made him real mad, but it was the fact of life, people stand up for what they believe in and fight for what they think is right, and get cut down mercilessly. He hated… detested how this game made him feel.

Bumping into @Ashiore Evretto for the umpteenth time, he waved to her, though had no time to talk as he readied his equipment and headed down into the dark tunnel, where the supposed monsters were waiting for them.

In order for them to move forward, he needed to lead the vanguard and protect the people he’s helping to escape so that was exactly what he was going to do, with or without healer, with or without any kind of damage dealer.

  13. Ash gave a nod to @Rudiford Galland as they passed, but time was of the essence for making sure that everyone could escape safely. It wouldn't be safe to linger in the tunnels where monsters roamed, or in the keep if the attackers managed to fully break through. The highest priority were the most heavily injured, who were being sent up ahead with the most experienced of the healers. Children and the elderly were after that; hopefully the enemy would be merciful and spare the ones who obviously couldn't fight back, but there was always a chance they wouldn't.

Ash's group was near the middle of the wave, and she stuck closely to her self-assigned charges. It was futile to try and keep a steady headcount of how many were with her, but she tried her best to ensure that she didn't miss anyone. A few teens were shushing the younger kids, and some soldiers limped along with half-healed injuries, clutching their weapons and ready to fight on even then.

The sooner everyone was out, the better. Maybe then they could all get answers about what the hell this entire conflict was about.

  16. The siege that started that morning was so fierce that they couldn't do much more than plan the evacuation of the innocent and Isolt being who she was quickly moved through the people helping the heavily wounded get out. She made sure they had gone off and then she went looking for some of the elderly and the children who were crying and scared to death. She found some of their parents mostly their mothers as every abled body man was working on protecting the escape route out and all of that. She led as many as she could down towards the group going on noe.

She made sure to go into the nooks and crannies searching for more people as she moved through the keep. She found a few small ones. Crying in a corner and she picked up the littlest of them and smiled at the others. "Okay let's go. stick close to me and we are gonna catch up to the other group heading out alright. But you got to stay close and you gotta be strong. And be brave. That's what your parents are being right now too. Kay. How about we softly sing a little song." The little ones seemed to nod their heads as the one in her arms just buried themselves into her shoulder as they walked humming a merry but soft tune so as to not draw too much attention to themselves as she got them towards the other groups of people moving out her eyes scanning around them for anymore. This wasn't good and she couldn't understand why the invading forces were so happy about this. She tried to make sure to keep the little ones from seeing too much karnage.

  19. Kohaku had wanted to entertain the idea that they might hold out but the instant the onslaught of the morning had started he knew that hope was well squashed before it even got to turn into hope. He was helping some of those up on the third floor getting them down as they got injured. He couldn't really believe what was going on. And he had already found that the only person in charge here was the commander of the guards that were still here and there was no way he was going to be able to talk to him at this point in time. There was nothing he could do. He did pray for the lord of the castle who was well in a destoryed tower. He just shook his head and ran down around the third floor of the keep trying to making sure that everyone who was injured was heading out as the evacuation orders were coming in. He was able to help get a few into make shift stretchers and headed out.

He was bringing up the rare for the moment trying to get the last stragglers tapping the soldiers with a look like we have to go. As they started to move to evacuate down to the level that would lead them out of this place. This wasn't good but there was nothing he could do to change it. He prayed those that were on the battlement were okay but he did notice a few fall. It angered him but there was nothing he could do right now he had to evacuate the innocent that was all that he was charged with doing right now. He was silent his eyes ahead and on the prize of getting these people out. He grabbed a few that he saw cowering in a corner. "Come on I got you. we must hurry." He said as he started to help one of them who was injured get towards the goal under the castle. He would bring up all the stragglers with the other part of the teams that could at least do a little something to defend them.

  22. Things where not going as smoothly as Janne hoped. He was starting to get people on their feet, even if dragging them he was at least getting some out, but the sound of fighting was getting louder and louder. Janne could feel himself start to panic as he doubled his pace. Everyone that was heavily hurt was already out of the infirmary.
After Janne would unload the lasted bleeding bastard onto another body he hunched over with his hands on his knees. Damn was this hard work. Why hadnt they been doing this the night before? Hell they were low on everything as it was. Why wait till now where people are dying to start moving bodies? Janne got back up and moving with the rest of the group now. Making his way through the mob to check spare rooms and under beds for people. He knew some people where gonna get left behind, but he wanted to keep that number as low as possible. Not long after that thought Janne had found a woman cowering under a bed with her child. Its not safe- was all Janne could get out before she got out from under the bed and joined the others. Talk about maternal instincts. Janne then moved to rejoin the evacuation efforts

  25. 'It's a real good thing that I'm not claustrophobic,' Ash thought as the veritable river of people squeezed in around her. At some point someone she had found herself with an infant in her arms, foisted on her by a harried NPC guard. The baby thankfully wasn't wailing, but it did add an extra layer of complication to this navigation that Ash didn't anticipate having to deal with. 'At least I won't be fighting anyway.'

She'd seen the briefest glimpses of people she recognized here and there, but there was hardly any time to even call out a greeting. Besides, it would be hard to hear over the sounds of the rushed evacuation. Ash could only hope that they would all remain safe.

A little commotion over to her right caught her attention, and she saw a huddle of people standing around in a circle, unmoving and obviously distraught. She also didn't see anyone going over to deal with it. Loathe as she was to leave the group she was escorting, they would be able to follow along with the others, and she couldn't let anyone get left behind.

Handing over the infant to a young woman beside her, Ash shoved her way towards the huddled group. When she drew close, the cause of the distress was clear: an old woman fallen onto the ground, clutching her leg with a pained expression on her face. Ash dropped to her knees immediately and began casting a healing spell, then helped the woman hobble to her feet.

"Go on," she told the rest of the group. "Follow the rest. We have to be going." Letting the woman lean on her, Ash continued onwards.

  28. As soon as Isolt got up to the group that was heading out. She was able to hand the small one in her arms to someone else that they knew and they waved to her. The others followed the bigger group and she smiled seeing some of the soldier that were wounded still willing to defend the people and still moving. She had hope that they would all get out of here but she went back out to check and make sure that she could get as many others out of there as physically possible. She knew that it might not be a good idea to keep going out and some point but she was small and she had ears and a tail and it was something that she was sure would calm some of the young ones.

She was in the kitchens when she found another group and a small girl pulled her tail. She nearly jumped sky high at her tail being pulled which caused the little one to giggle which she was glad for. The woman that came out smiled at her and lightly scolded the child and she shook her head. "Its alright we need to go follow me I know where to take you. Also do you know if anyone else is hiding in the cabinets or anything?" There were shakes of heads but heads popped out of some places as the others came up. The young child wanted a piggy back ride so this looked like it might be the group she was going to be leaving the keep with. she took a deep breath and she moved them through rushing them towards the others. This was all that she could do for now because this little one was not gonna let her out of its sites as she was giving him a piggy back ride and he was petting her ears. She was being serious but she couldn't help but have her ears twitch every so often.

  31. Kohaku passed off the first group that he had managed to find. They were heading down to the lower levels at a quick pace with a group of others heading that way. He wondered how much longer any of them could withstand what was going on. He didn't want to leave anyone behind. he prayed that they didn't leave anyone innocent behind but if they hid well enough that might be the case. He checked every nook and cranny down on the second floor of the keep heading out with the rest of the stragglers of the groups. He got a few kids out from behind whatever they could find and onto older and much more capable hands then his own. Not that he wasn't capable it was just that it would make sense to do this as quickly as possible. He found a few wounded soldiers that could still walk and that managed to get some heals from not as strong healers that had made it out with the far more wounded group.

He was small but he was strong enough to let someone use his shoulder as a walking stick. He still looked around with the man who seemed just as concerned as he was about protecting the others and getting out as many as they could. He could hear the fighting they had to hurry. He just moved faster guiding the soldier and a few teen boys who had taken up what they could find to defend the little ones with them or the females that were tending them. This was one hell of a morning.

  34. It was encouraging to see that the NPCs in game had compassion. Sure Ash had first-hand experience at how human-like they were. There were times when she wasn't able to tell an NPC from an actual player. But it was a bit different to see it in action: people picking each other up, offering them something to lean on to support them as they walked, helped carry the children and those who couldn't walk themselves. If Ash wasn't incredibly pressed at the moment, it would be humbling to see that computer-controlled programs were sometimes kinder than actual real-life people in crisis situations.

Ash wasn't the strongest of people, and the old woman was quickly helped along by other more able-bodied people. At her current position in the crowd there weren't that many injuries to heal, so Ash picked up the pace and pushed forward. If they were going to run into monsters and other creatures, she wanted to be up there with the vanguard to watch their backs just in case anything happened.

Hopefully she'd even be able to catch up to some acquaintances. It would be nice to have someone to talk to.

The evacuation effort progresses quickly and efficiently as the slew of people crammed themselves through the tight tunnel. Even though it was going so smoothly, your group noticed a woman cutting her leg open when she tripped onto some rocks. The resulting gash resulted in massive bleeding. The scent of blood was picked up by 2 giant vampire worms, which quickly burrowed their way through the tunnel system to get to her, destroying some of the tunnels they crossed. If you were in the tunnels at all, you were likely hit with a cave in.

Since much of the evacuees weren't up to par on combat, the 2nd in command lord of the castle came to the rescue. In a flash, Deswin Murror inserted himself in-between you and the worms. Do everything you can to assist him either with combat or healing.

  38. At first Ash had thought that the tremors were just her own body shaking slightly from the exhaustion. But when she looked around, others were doing the same, as if they had all sensed something odd.

And then the ceiling began to fall.

She didn't quite remember what happened immediately after. Only that she was upright one moment and then being helped to her feet the next, disoriented and with an immense throbbing pain at the side of her head. When she reached up to it, her hand came away warm and sticky with blood. She flinched as her fingers brushed against the edges of the wound.

But she didn't have time to recover, as her slightly-wavering vision took in the sight of two enormous fleshy masses hurtling towards their group in the tight confines of the caverns. Someone in armor dashed up ahead to meet them, blocking their advance but it was still difficult to see what was going on.

Well, that didn't matter. Time to start helping. Ash used her magic to help the luminescent moss of the tunnel they were in grow, letting it spread further across the walls and ceilings to provide them with a bit more light to see.

As she did, Ash was able to identify the two shapes as giant eyeless worms, thin vicious teeth arranged in a circular lamprey-like mouth. One of the guards, quite highly-decorated if his intricate armor was anything to go by, was the one who had gone up to challenge them.

She also began recognizing familiar faces nearby, all of whom looked staggered and hurt from the cave-in. She focused some of her energy on healing them as well, trying to get as many people as she could. "Menyembuhkan semua luka!"

  41. Now with some more light in the tight confines of the tunnels, Ash was more comfortable with moving about. She hopefully wouldn't get in anyone's way, just moving behind the front lines to make sure that people remained topped up on health and no civilians accidentally got involved in the fight.

People's strength wouldn't last at this rate. Even if she kept healing, she and the other healers would run out of energy. It was best to deal with the worms as quickly as possible.

With that in mind, Ash quickly brought up her spell menu and started tracing the runes for her restraining spell in the air. The worms seemed to be sightless, but there was no way of telling if they would be attracted to sound. Better safe than sorry.

The blood streaming down her face made it difficult to see. She had to stop and restart her cast because she brought up one hand to wipe away the mess, but the game considered it as part of the cast action. Frustrated with herself, Ash went through the motions for the second time more quickly and aggressively, and finished the cast with a quick jab towards the worms.

No vines around here, but there were long spindly roots threading through the battlefield. The roots shot out from the walls of the tunnels and lashed around the worms, trying to hold them in place. They were surprisingly muscular and rather slimy, meaning that they broke through soon. Even so, she had at least held them in place long enough for those attacking to get a few good hits in.
