    It had burst through the clouds, and no one knew what it was. The faithful claimed it to be a messenger from the gods. The watchful wondered if it was the war machine of foreign powers. The peasantry saw it as a marvel, and royalties wondered if they could use this event to their advantage.

    But the flying whale, half organic, half inorganic, cared not, simply continuing its journey through the cloudscape of Falderen and Astorea. None challenged its reign over the skyland. Not the White Winged Storm Dancer, not the Half-Sundered Crystal-Fiend. Not the Queen of Drakes. Half metal, half mortal, it carried the microcosm of a world on its back, and wielded a great blade upon its skull, cleaving through the storm. Where was it headed? What was it searching for? No one knew.

    And many feared.

    For there was going to be naught but cataclysm if the sky whale were to descend upon the earth-bound denizens, naught but seven days of hellfire coating a transforming wasteland. As days went by, the paranoia grew until finally, the word came out that an expedition to the sky whale was set. A single airship, enough to carry six others, will be sent up to the flying monolith, with hopes that the adventurers abroad would be able to illuminate what exactly this gigantic abberation was. Learn as much as they can, and then return in order to share that knowledge with the rest. Prepare for conflict, but focus on knowledge.

    Only the bravest need apply.

    On a windy day, perfectly for gliding through the skies, this story begins.

    Requirements:
    • At least one Expert Mastery OR two Adept Masteries.
    • The heart of a hero, the mind of a scholar, and the flexibility of a McGyver.
    • As a recommendation, at least one member of the party should have Tinker.
    • As an extra bonus, one would benefit if at least one member has Adept Riding.
    Objectives:
    • Explore the Flying Whale.
    • Figure out what exactly it is.
    • Get out without dying.
    Posting Rules:
    • Minimum of 100 words and max of 500 words, excluding the OOC stuff. If you exceed this number, I will ignore your post and you will lose your action for the turn.
    • 24 hour post cycles, with one post per cycle. Those who don't make it on time are skipped. I will be updating every day at 4PM PST. Immediate DM responses may trigger if my trap cards are activated.
    • This DM Challenge will be using the WB system as a base, but will also have various hijinks that one can expect out of me.
    • Abandoning and reattempting this DM Challenge is not possible.
