Peace was something no one expected after escaping the ordeal with Titanius, some coming to see their homes destroyed from the opened rifts, while others found themselves suffering from wounds both physical and mental. Political conflict was tearing the land apart in different bands after Astor's proclamation to turn the monarchy into a republic, and more problems kept being added to the list with each passing moment. Remnants of Titanius' essence roamed freely around the less fortunate territories, nobles amassed their armies in hope to keep all they'd worked for.

Astorea needed as many hands to clean up their mess as it could possibly get, and so every adventurer, be it NPC or a regular player, found themselves aiding in the many tasks distributed to restore the country to its former glory. Wanting for something to do as to get rid of her boredom, the woman took one of the bounties posted on the messages boards found in every major city or village inside the game. One, in particular, caught her interest. Not because of the payment which she didn't really care about, finding the objectives described in the pamphlet much more promising than the gold itself.

Once decided on her next course of action, the woman brought up her palm menu to send a message to all players via the World Channel, requesting the help of a small group of adventurers ready to busy themselves with some field work and also attaching to the message the coordinates of the old fortress that had once been known as the Bandit King's castle. She knew it all too well, as she did the same people they were about to face. After all, she'd been hired by them at some point, only to see her mission end in failure.

''Thank you for joining me. I hope we can end this quickly and return to our respective duties as soon as possible,'' she mused, lips curling onto a vacant smile that anyone could've easily recognized to be controlled. Some faces amongst the group that heeded her call she recognized, greeting them with a slight bow of her head as the sole gesture of recognition she could muster. ''Now, let us proceed.''

Portia remained silent for the rest of their travels, drawing her gauntlets as they neared the entrance to the fortress, drawing unintentional attention from the scouts patrolling the area that quickly sought to eliminate the threat to their lands. They came here without preparing any strategy whatsoever, and now that their foes were alerted to their presence, no other path remained but that of forcing their way through the job.

Raid noticed Portia's message in the world channel and smiled to himself. The two of them had planned to meet up again, so why not now? Raid responded to the request for players and then immediately made his way to their location.

When he arrived Raid found Portia and two others already there. He looked to the two others that had joined them and gave a simple nod of acknowledgement.

"Portia, good to see you again."

He looked at the player he had spent time with durring the Titanius battle. For some reason he would have sworn she looked different. But perhaps that was just his imagination, after all a lot of things were happening durring the battle it was easy for his brain to not recall every detail correctly.

She greeted him and the others in a somewhat cold manner. It seemed at the moment she was trying to stay all business. That worked for Raid, after all his primary objective right now was to increase his power in the game. So, without much of a fuss the four of the set off toward the location where they would complete this bounty mission.

As they walked Raid figured he may as well acquaint himself with his companions. So he turned to the two of them.

"So... what are your names? Do you have any particular specialties or preferences in battle?"

Raid listen to their responses as he walked and thought about how they may use their abilities advantageously in the coming fights. Suddenly there was a bit of noise from Portia and before Raid could fully understand the situation she was attacking what appeared to be a scouting party of bandits.

    Well this is happening now...

Raid lifted his hands and closed his eyes drawing on the energy within him to form in his hands. He opened his eyes and sure enough the fire was in his palms. He flung the attack haphazardly toward the bandits catching one on fire. He cried out, but just the fact that he did meant Raid had not done well enough in his attack.

Raid quickly got into a combat stance as he prepared to fight the rest of these bandits.
