(I'm gonna try to edit this some point tomorrow or something to add the colors in. My phone is being stupid and isn't doing it currently.) Sera found herself calming immensely at Lucia'a stern voice. She let out a tiny squeak as the woman pulled her into her lap as well, but calmed down even more due to the closeness and smell of Lucia. "It... it says it wants to talk to us, both of us," Sera explained. "We," the prism spoke again, though this time, the seven voices spoke in such a unity it made Sera wonder, for a moment, if it was only one speaking. It would only speak into Sera's mind at this time, inaudible to Lucia once again, though Sera was not aware it had been audible to Lucia near the end of their conversation thus far. "It's saying we. I think... I think it's more than one thing, in there?" Sera ventured. The prism flashed green brightly, before returning to it's usual shifting pattern. "We are seven souls, and it is with our power we grant you magic." "There are seven of them," Sera said to Lucia. "I think they are the source of my Astramancy?" The prism flashed green again. It then flashed red, violet, and orange violently, before calming. "Forgive us. We act with one goal but not one mind. Each spirit is associated with one color. We understand your kind often associates the color green with some form of correctness. However, it is unfair to us all that the green spirit receive so much attention, to our exclusion." "Uh... so each of the seven rainbow colors is a different spirit. That little light show was three of them being upset green was hogging the spotlight," Sera said to Lucia. She turned back to the prism. "What... what do you want with me?" She asked. "You are an enigma to us. You were not, and then suddenly you were, yet in such a way as if you had been for some time. Then, at times, you are not again, yet you appear as if you are. You approach this world as something to be conquered. We would see where your journey takes you, and in exchange for us coming along, we will assist you as per your requests, when we see fit. We have revealed ourselves now, for we believe this woman will be a great influence upon your journey." Sera wasn't sure how to explain that at first to Lucia, because she wasn't entirely sure what the prism meant. Slowly, it dawned on her. "Uh, so they were intrigued by the fact that I just appeared one day, fully grown. And they were intrigued by the way I can log out. And they were intrigued by my desire to conquer, and they want to see where that takes me. They chose now to reveal themselves because of you," she said. The prism would float toward Lucia. "It takes great effort for us to speak and be heard by any beside this girl," the prism would speak to both of them once again. "But we are grateful to you. It is your presence that will spur this girl to action. Her greed for your praise. Her fear of your disapproval. Her lust for your attention. Toward you alone, she feels a part of each of our domains." Sera, not knowing that Lucia could hear the prism now, cleared her throat. "Uh, it's hard for them to talk to people beside me, but they're thankful to you, because... uh..." she went red, not sure how to describe the second half of the prism's words. "Because you motivate me," she said finally. "She could hear us," the prism spoke to Sera alone once more. "Oh," Sera said, and went an even deeper read. The prism backed up from the two of them. "We would reveal to you both our names, and our identities, if you wish. Be warned, first! It is by the nature of who we are that we were drawn to this girl. Our identities will reveal the nature of this girl's identity. We have insight into her to know her such that she does not know how to know herself," the prism said, speaking to both of them once again. "We give this offer only once, and it is to both of you, or to neither of you." Sera turned toward Lucia. "I... I would like to know what they have to say. I need to know. If they're telling the truth or not, I think it would always bother me if I didn't listen to what they have to say, about this. About me."
Hearing both the prism and Sera both trying to explain the same things. Her brow furrowed in thought, but her hands occupied by Sera's chest firmly clinging to her from behind as if worried that Sera would melt down the moment they separated. After processing their words though, Lucia's eyes opened with a sly grin. "It never hurts to hear them out-- Sera, Dear-- But understand you must not be taken for a fool. The terms of any works and negotiations must be fair~ While it's fine if you're on the losing end a little, it's best not to surrender yourself completely." She spoke firmly to Sera trying to make sure the girl understood properly that she shouldn't accept less then she needed or wanted. If there was to be some kind of discussion there would surely be a request or demand, it seemed like this prism did have something it wanted, but since it was a part of Sera's power, she should definitely ask something in return. "I don't mind listening-- my cute treasure here is definitely one that would feel everything after all." Lucia answered thinking it was an easy enough thing to grant. Though the more she held onto Sera the more she began to frown a little giving her a brief squeeze. "We'll listen, but I won't have anyone stealing my treasures away from me~ I'll be very upset about it." She explained bluntly, though her facade didn't crack, her possessiveness was clear.
The prism floated back from the two women a small distance. As it did, it began to glow a deep red. "Mortals trembled before me in ages and worlds long past. It was your anger and temper that drew me to you. I am R'r'rithic, spirit of wrath." The aggressiveness of the red seemed to lessen and the light dimmed a bit. "Yet, I was also drawn to you for another reason. You will not stand for the world to not be as you believe it should be. I speak again, I am R'r'rtihic, spirit of justice." The prism glowed a fiery orange. "Once, galaxies belonged to me. All people were taxed not just a portion of their wealth, but their very lives in service to me. I was drawn to you for your great desires, your wish for more. I am Ooolom, spirit of greed." The orange of the prism lightened. "Yet in my rule, those who were artists were exempted from my tax, for above all I desired beauty. You desire to forge with your hands, not merely tools but worlds. I speak again, I am Ooolom, spirit of creativity." Next, the prism shifted to a harsh yellow. "Quiver and shake! My name has not been spoken in aeons, but even then, it was never beyond a whisper. You fear much, little girl. But you are not against sewing fear yourself. I will remember my glory days through you. Remember my name, I am Y'quna, spirit of fear!" The yellow slowly faded to a much softer color. "But I did not always wish to be feared. I do not remember my days of peace, but something with you causes the fog around those memories to stir. I speak again, I am Y'quna, spirit of peace." Green followed that, beginning soft. "You have strong will. You set your goal, and you strive for it. I wish to see great things from you. This charge is given to you by Guiothule, spirit of will." The green grew darker and harsher. "Your jealousy, ambition, and envy fuel my power. They will drive you to great heights. I speak again, I am Guiothule, spirit of envy and ambition." "But do not forget me," the prism spoke as it began to shine blue. "For without your hope for a better live, you would have no reason to press on. I am Berren, spirit of hope." The blue changed from a calming one to a deep one, one that could be stared into like the ocean and the end would seem nonexistant. "Yet hope alone grows corrupt. For if you only hope, you will make no progress. This side of me it would not be wise to embrace, for I speak again, I am Berren, spirit of sloth." "We understand," the prism began as it turned indigo. "That your journey will be difficult. I admired that you appreciated that your life was not the only one to find sorrow, and that those you could aid you did. I am Irileth, spirit of compassion." It's color deepened. "I have no other side. I grant you only that you must remember to take care of yourself, as well. I speak again, I am Irileth, spirit of compassion." Finally, the prism turned violet. "And lastly, I am Vilia, spirit of love and lust. The passionate side of live belongs to me, but I will share it with all those who give me pleasure." The prism returned to it's rainbow glow. "We do not wish to take this treasure away from you. Nor do we wish to command her, or ask anything she was not already wiling to give. We ask only that she seeks power, whether for herself or for another, and brings our being back to the knowledge of the people of this world, even if it is only as those who fight alongside the two of you." (Will try to get colors added sometime soon, phone still being stupid, haven't been able to get anywhere with wifi for computer.)
Lucia only continued to cling to Sera as the lights explained their identities. Though during it she couldn't help a musing tone, as if she were worried Sera wouldn't understand how each one associates with one another. "Mm, two sides of the same extreme-- Anger becomes hate and wraith that provokes slaughter and senseless death, but taken to a positive extreme becomes a thirst for justice and drive to do right." She explained softly as she held onto Sera, deciding it best to explain each one as they came up with a musing grin. "Mm, Greed is desire, not only money but comfort right? There's no reason to charge or make those who make your life comfortable suffer. Greed is the feeling of a pragmatist, how to make things work properly and efficiently to save. That could be it maybe?" She spoke, her tone soft, as if she were trying to weaken the severity of the situation, trying to keep Sera relaxed. After all these figures would be very important to her future combat style. Though fear only made her grin brightly, fear was something she liked, fear was respect, it was a strong attention that provoked a myriad of feelings in others. "Fear is one I like, Terror and horror. Feelings that provoke thoughts of negativity. Fear protects people though, makes them cautious and attentive, keeps them alert-- Reminds them how important life is." She said with a soft longing sigh. Though when it came to will, Lucia had to think a bit deeper, it was hard to associate will power with envy and desire. "I suppose imposing will can become envy and desire in a more negative light. Willing yourself to improve versus envying those you're trying to meet?" Lucia hummed, her voice sweet in Sera's ear as she tried to reason her way through that one, it was a little difficult though. It was very easy to get back on track when it came to the talk about the Hope though, hope was a dangerous thing, Lucia knew this well not just because it could lead to stagnation but also because there was danger in it. "Hope can be a dangerous and hateful thing. It can empower people to make change but... it can also urge them to wait for others to change for them." She spoke, her expression sour as if from experience. Though talk of compassion made Lucia grin a little, compassion did have a second side she thought. "Compassion, but on the other end there's always something. Compassion enables, supports the good or the bad. Even if it doesn't change, it can be both extremes can't it?" She murmured to Sera sweetly thinking that she was a good example. The very extreme shift in Sera's personality a similar kindness to change for people. For lust and love, those hardly needed any introduction, rather she'd probably end up giving one later in the night. She merely gave Sera a warm squeeze to remind her. Though when the treasure once again spoke to her about Sera, Lucia only nodded her head in understanding. As long as she wasn't in danger of losing her people, the ones she cared about, Lucia wouldn't fight them on their needs or wants. As long as they stayed with her giving her attention she wouldn't pressure or force them. "Alright then. I'm content with that. In return though please support her well~" She urged with a warm grin.
The prism, having finished its introductions, floated for a bit as if processing something unknown to the two women. "You are right about many of us," it explained. "With clarifications needed on but a few." The prism glowed orange. "Greed is a desire for things that have value, a desire to the point of always wanting more than is had. Money and material things, this girl does not lack in want for, but that is not the greed that drew me, nor would I say in those things she is greedy. Even now, she knows what her greed is for. It has shifted, since I met her, and is stronger today than it has ever been. The words will have more weight from her." Sera lowered her head and pressed closer to Lucia a bit. "I think.... I think what it's trying to say, is that I'm greedy for attention, from you. For your affection." The prism seemed to dip, as if nodding, before turning green. "You are almost exactly right with your thoughts on envy and will, though backwards. Despite the way I introduced myself, I am a spirit of envy before all else. But envy is a powerful motivator, and when envy is acted upon, it is done with great will. She envies though who have what she cannot, but rather than sitting and hating them, she acts, with the will to claw and bite her way to take what she wants." Lastly, the prism turned indigo. "Compassion for the man who seeks you harm, if given too freely, may be given at the cost of your life. But your words were correct as well." With that, the prism returned to it's rainbow pattern. "Do you have any questions for us?" It asked. Sera cleared her throat. "What can you do? Like, what can I use you for?" She asked. "Each of us has sway over a powerful magic. There are two others whose eyes have been drawn to you, but they will not come until your have proven yourself worthy of them. They do not appreciate the weak, nor those who wish to be handed things. When you have mastered our powers, through trial and error and indeed, through the shedding of your very blood, you will meet them. When you call on us, we will answer as you call. Provide us what we seek, and we will answer more powerfully." Sera nodded slowly. "I.... I think I understand...."
Lucia nodded along, understanding, her musing ability had always been particularly strong and capable. She wasn't ever really successful in making things happen but if it was purely theoretical, she could be considered a genius? Thinking that far, she could only feel some bitterness in her heart, no matter how clever she was, it was difficult to put those thoughts into action. She made her best effort in this world, but even then it was hard for her to make any genuine advances in any particular direction with it. With the Crystal prism finishing it's speech though, Lucia seemed to understand, with a sweet chuckle she turned back to Sera. "It's important that you practice then. See? Believing in me isn't so wrong~" She teased as if she felt Sera wasn't trusting in her enough. Though she did think that SEra was deeply committed to her, there was no reason not to playfully test and tease her when the chances arose. Giving her chest a soft pat, she nodded back in understanding, trying to give Sera some more confidence as she murmured into her ear softly. "You have to make sure you thank it for the power though. Even if it is mysterious and strange, it's still going to help you stay strong enough to carry on by my side." She explained in a soft voice.
The prism floated up to Sera as Lucia told her to thank it. It spoke into Sera's mind alone, so that Lucia would not hear. "Do not thank us with words. Thank us with deeds. We grow weary, we have communed with you each for too long. Do not summon us again until we are needed." With that said, the prism vanished from view. Sera put her arms around Lucia and embraced the woman. "It said it's tired, that it needs rest, not to summon it again until it needs to be, and to thank it by doing things." Sera exhaled heavily, and put a bit more force into her embrace. "I hadn't realize that it was sentient, that it was alive. I thought it was just a thing. I've been throwing it around and using it for my powers despite the fact that there are thing inside of it that are alive, and have their own goals and desires. Sure, they're fine with it, but I didn't know they were fine with it! Am... am I a bad person? For not making sure that it wasn't something alive before just using it, and making sure that it was fine with me using it?" She shivered at the thought. She realized that, in a way, her relationship with the prism might be seen as very similar to Lucia's relationship to her. A tool, something to be used. Each had now given permission to be used as such, so it was fine that they were. Of course there were differences, but that strong similarity was unmistakable. Did Lucia know that she wasn't a bad person. "I..." Sera began, before shutting her mouth very suddenly. After a moment, she'd speak again. "I want you to know... You're not," she said. "You wouldn't be a bad person, for using me. I want you to. I want to help you, in any way I can. Whether it's just making weapons for you, or if you want me to conquer a region and rule it in your name, or if you wanted me to preach a religion with you as its goddess, or if you want me to do something as small as wash your dishes or your clothes... If it's for you, it's what I want to do."
Lucia only nodded when Sera explained about the prism disappearing. It was a unique and interesting segway, but at the same time it made Lucia wonder about her own magic-- Where did her malefimancy come from? Was there a patron out there somewhere making sure players had magic? It was an interesting theory, one she felt the need to investigate someday perhaps. Though the more Sera seemed to worry about what had happened, the more Lucia shook her head until she ended up sighing heavily. "Listen to me Sera." She spoke firmly. "Everyone uses each other-- we try not to think about it, but the reality is unfortunate. Corporations use people as employees, those employees use farmers for food, those farmers use corporations for utilities. We all use someone... thinking those mighty figures out there might not be the same and might not also be a part of the cycle is silly. Questioning it, trying to assign blame for any of it is equally silly." Lucia tried her best to reassure the girl, even as she shivered and seemed horrified to no end, she continued speaking in a soft voice as she comforted her. If her previous words didn't sink in though, Lucia felt the need to try a round about method. "Sera, would you go around saving every beggar, peasant, slave and segregated group? By no means would we go to those extents... and if we're not to save everyone, would you spend every minute thinking about whether or not you're a bad person for not saving them?" She explained in a hushed tone. Though the more Sera tried to assert that she wasn't a bad person, Lucia laughed warmly shaking her head in answer. "Good or bad, I wouldn't be hung up by something like that dear. As... long as I can be 'something'... I'll be happy." She murmured her smile bittersweet. "We can't make everyone happy-- so why not focus on being happy ourselves first?" She spoke with a firm nod, her ambitions undying for precisely this reason. Though rather then dwell on it, or let Sera panic and list more things, Lucia would once more bring her finger to Sera's lips to hush her gently. "For now, lend me your chest so I can sleep. Tomorrow when you get off work, I have more work for you to do okay? I'll need you to be fresh and ready." Lucia whispered worried that Sera wouldn't settle down at this rate.
Sera listened to the woman's words, and they did calm her a bit. It made sense. She couldn't save every single person who had any problems in the world. It would kill her, and she probably wouldn't even do a good job. No, she had her role to fullfill. Whatever that role was. Right now though, she was fairly sure she had found it. On the long term, it was to do whatever Lucia asked of her, however difficult or easy that task may be. But for now, her role was simple. All she had to do was lay down, and be laid down upon. "Making myself happy?" She asked after a moment. "I don't really know how how to do that," she said. "I've been unhappy with my life for as long as I can remember... But... making you happy... I think that's made me really happy today. Maybe I'll find out something that makes me happy on my own eventually, but is it fine if, for a while, that's how I get my happiness?"
Lucia only laughed, a long, loud melodious laugh. One that was very sweet and affectionate as she looked down at Sera laying in wait for her to join her. With a grin, she moistened her lips slowly, pulling her own jacket down her shoulders baring her collar a little more. She still had her undershirt, but her gaze made it clear that wouldn't last much longer. "Don't worry... You're my tool from now on after all, thanks to that, you don't have to worry about how to make yourself happy." Lucia explained as she began unbuttoning her own undershirt while making sure Sera remained still, as if trying to keep her still with her gaze alone. With a wide grin, she slowly whispered leaning over Sera with soft reassuring words. "I'll give you lots of happiness~" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After a rather aggressive and at the same time, relaxing knight, Lucia began to stir early in the morning. Knowing she had work she'd have to do in reality, she didn't want to stay asleep. She would slowly open her eyes. For a moment, she frowned, clearly displeased knowing she would have to go back to her reality. A frosty expression on her face slowly died as she turned down to look at Sera, it softened slowly as she pulled her jacket over draping it over Sera in an effort to gently wake her as well. "I'll have to head to work myself..." Lucia said softly, though her hate and reluctance to go was clear. "You, meet me when your own work is finished, okay?" She whispered reassuringly trying to tuck Sera in with her jacket.
Sera slept perhaps the best she had slept in a rather long time. When Lucia woke her, it was from a peacefully dreamless sleep, and it took a moment or two of grogginess for her to realize what was going on. Memory of what had happened last night came shortly after. "Oh," she said, not sure what else to say. Should she apologize, say she didn't usually let things like that happen so soon? No, it was Lucia who had begun the things, and they had both wanted it. She frowned, realizing they would have to part for a while. "This is going to be the hardest work shift of my life," Sera said, nodding at the woman's instructions. She mused for several moments, not wanting to be the first get up and log out, though she knew her shift was coming up soon. "We'll see each other after work?" She asked, even though it was exactly what Lucia had said would happen.
Lucia only grinned back at Sera who seemed to struggle with waking up. Thinking she wasn't a morning persons he gave her head a gentle stroke before nodding back reassuringly. "It will be won't it? You'll have thoughts of me to keep you company though." She urged gently. The talk about being able to see each other after though made her giggle, naturally she would see her again after work, abandoning someone after coming this far would certainly be a loss. "Of course we'll meet each other after work. By then I'll have something interesting for you to look at." Lucia offered with a soft and gentle pet once more. "Keep the tent safe." She whispered even while petting Sera's head until she finally logged out with a soft flash of light, not saying 'good bye' or 'see you later'. It was purely because she would certainly come back for Sera and her tent, her precious tool. For Lucia work would merely be an uninteresting and infuriating droll as it usually was, there was no need to be impatient, there was always time for playing after all.
