Description: Beneath the cliffs of Druuk Island resides the den of thieves, Nacre. Centuries of waves lapping at the stone have carved away a hollowed sea cave, leaving only a few pillars connecting the roof to the submerged floor below left. Pirates, mercenaries, Falderan deserters, refugees and the like all make land here. A tentative peace has been formed around the cobbled together town made of interconnecting wooden platforms built into the sides of the cave and the thick pillars rising from the water. While shady deals are common, the thriving market and communal port for less savory characters demands a certain level of honor among thieves. The streets are dotted with the salvaged figureheads from the many ships that have been laid to rest in their watery graves. Their eyes watch over all of Nacre's peoples, like patron saints and gargoyles atop cathedrals.

    Landmarks:

Mother of Pearl - The greatest beauty of Nacre is the easiest to miss, yet gives it its name. Beneath the rocky ceiling of the cavern, revealed more and more as stone falls away into the water below, is a smooth layer of what appears to be Mother of Pearl. Even the lowest of thieves have never dared to make their way up high enough to try chipping any of it away.

Ship Graveyard - Sometimes the odd folks of Nacre come to port on hobbled ships and a long tradition stands of sinking them at the back of the cave in a ship graveyard spanning generations. Ships are stripped of any salvageable materials and used to replace aging parts of Nacre or to build new additions. The remaining bones of the great ships and lowly dinghies are sunk to the bottom of the salty brine or left to rot where they've been beached.

Nacre's bazaar - A colorful assortment of things from many different peoples and places. Common items are harder to find than rare trinkets and exotic foods and the prices change as quick as the sea's moods. The goods of raiders litter stalls, but be wary. Steal from thieves and you'll lose more than a hand.
