Hi! Lucia mentioned that she might have somebody she could send with me on the errand she's having me run! It's nice to meet you! I hope I won't be a liability, so I'll do my best not to slow you down! I'm not all that powerful, but I figure any friend of Lucia's is more than capable of handling themselves.

Don't worry, I'm not all that busy. I just logged on recently, so this is basically the first thing I'm doing today. What did you want to know?

I don't think you're going to be a liability. After all, Lucia put us together and she hardly, if ever, makes mistakes so we will probably work well together.

Tbh, this was really spur of the moment, so I hadn’t thought of any questions to ask or anything. Ah, so, uhm, how long have you been playing? Are you enjoying yourself? What masteries did you pick up?

 

Yeah you're right, I don't think Lucia would ever really make a mistake that might put her friends and people she cares about in danger. I just hope we can work together well.

I've been playing for a couple of months now, I'm really enjoying the game and how realistic it is. I have Acrobat, Arcanamancy and Beast Taming as my Masteries, they're all really fun and I even have an animal friend, a white tiger named Natiri!

What about you? What Masteries do you have? How long have you played and are you enjoying the game?

 

Oh, I have been playing for about that time as well. I started sometime last year, perhaps around Halloween? Maybe a little before that. But yeah, I’ve been playing since then. I love TerraSphere. It’s really enjoyable. I rush home every day to log in, lol. I’m a little addicted. grin emoji

I have Parry, Cleave as my main ones. I haven’t picked up the third one yet, though the game keeps prompting me to. Nothing seems to fit so it’s just…empty right now. What’s Beast Taming like? I’ve seen some people running around with animals, but I never know if they’re like mini pets or an actual animal.

If Beast Taming gives you white tigers, that’s pretty badass. Was it hard to get? Or did it just appear, or you had to go get it? Sorry for all the questions!

 

Cleave and Parry seem really cool! I want to pick up something for close range at some point too, though I'm not sure what I'll end up going for. And yeah, I can understand the addiction to the game, I rush home and spend most of my time online here as well, especially after meeting people like Lucia.

As for Beast Taming, I find it actually really cool! Animals that normally attack you think twice, you can bond with wild creatures far more easily and even have a sort of empathic connection with them. It makes it super easy to tell what a creature is feeling or whether it feels threatened by you. Plus, it's super fun to always have a companion with me no matter what!

Natiri is a weird subject. I actually bonded with her thanks to circumstance. She'd been caught in a hunter's trap and eventually I got her to trust me enough to free her. Then we got caught by the hunters and Natiri fought alongside me, then just followed me until we made it official. It's actually thanks to Lucia that I was brave enough to help her. But I wouldn't say it's hard to find a companion animal, though I never actually went looking for one. I could teach you more about Beast Taming when we meet in person?

 

Lucia is definitely one of the more enjoyable people that I’ve come across in the game. There are a few others and still more than that that don’t log in anymore, but a vast majority of the player base is…well, they aren’t entirely friendly. And they aren’t willing to own up to their mistakes either, but, hey! I guess that’s the human condition in a nutshell.

I think that’d be awesome. I just…didn’t know about what all Beast Taming had and never had anyone to ask, so learning from you would be great. Hm, can you tame anything? Well, not anything, but any beast? I’d obviously have to find one and that would probably be the hard part, but I could see an animal definitely making my job a little easier.

As far as working with martial weapons, I wouldn’t mind helping you there. I only know about axes and polearms though…but I think Sylvanas might be able to help with Longsword and maybe Mortimer with Daggers if you’re looking to do more sneaky stuff. Why the want for a weapon, though? I’ve always thought magic was superior to just clunky weapon wielding, tbh.

 

Yeah, I remember Lucia telling me something about how awful some of the players on this game can be. She said that when she first logged in, nobody knew anything and nobody wanted to support anybody other than themselves. I'm glad that there are kinder people playing the game now, it makes things fun.

I think you can tame any beast, as far as I know at least. I've seen a couple of players with different stuff, birds and wolves and maybe even a giant spider? I'm not sure, I'm usually too shy to approach them and talk to them.

Uh, I know who Mortimer is but not Sylvanas. Is she another one of Lucia's summons? Because I was considering maybe a sword since they're easy to find and carry. As for why, well, Arcanamancy is my only real means of fighting and it's....very explosive to say the least. Using it at close range risks hurting me as well as my opponent. What makes you think magic is superior? It's far more draining, especially Arcanamancy. I've passed out so many times due to low energy.

 

Ah, I misspoke. Sylvanas does polearms and spears, not Longswords. Sorry about that. And yes! She’s one of Lucia’s summons. She actually helped me get better at polearms and then I found a really nice axe during a quest, equipped it, and found that it still had the same weight and movement quality to it. So, I switched to great axe. I feel it does more damage than polearms, but that’s just me.

Well, magic just seems more flashy to me. You can do so many things. I’ve seen mages dart in, blow up their opponent and then dart out all before any weapon could get within a hair of them. I’ve heard it draining, yes, but I think with proper management, you spellcasters are a bit oh-pee. wink emoji

Oh, can your pet do magic as well? That’d be kinda cool if it could.

Maybe after this upcoming errand, we can try some hand to hand practice. I can pass on what Sylvanas taught me, if you want. Just like stances and footwork and balance and stuff. That way we’ll have an even trade: your beast taming secrets for my martial weapon prowess!

 

Ahh right, well maybe I could pick up a sword and just get better through sparring. Anime characters do that all the time, don't they? I'll have to speak to Lucia about meeting her, though Lucia seems hesitant to let me meet some of her summons for some reason.

And I suppose magic is really flashy, but I do think that some of the downsides are pretty heavy. Plus, there's nothing cooler than a warrior charging headfirst into danger without worrying about a thing! I think warrior types are really awesome! And I'm not sure, I've never actually tried to cast a spell through Natiri.

And sure, some joint training sounds fun! My footwork would probably benefit acrobatics too and if I do pick up the sword in the future, it'd really come in handy. By the way, how did you and Lucia meet? If you don't mind me asking?

 

The only one I could think of her being hesitant about might be Alice. I think she’s the newest one. She’s…childlike but she can’t hold a form very well. She…well, it’s kinda disturbing to watch really. I even give her a wide berth when I’m around the Citizens. She’s just offputting. But as long as she protects Lucia, then who am I to call a fuss about her?

And I suppose you’re right. There is a kind of…dashing heroic bravery involved with rushing forward and protecting people. I dunno. Spells are just so flashy and cool! I think I’ve met more spellcasters in my time playing than weapon wielders, tbh. So maybe I’m just biased, haha.

Oh we actually met during a…conference, I guess you could say? The then princess from a neighboring country came to tell us that her father was crazy and was trying to assassinate the king and she was in the room, Lucia was, and I was new so I asked her what was going on. She was super nice to me and then I tracked her down and offered to be her knight. And I’ve been her Knight ever since. Nothing will take me away from her side.

I protect her and her interests and will do so as long as I have breath in my body. What about you? How did you and the Dark Lady meet?

 

Haha yeah, I've actually met Alice first out of her summons. I ran in to help her thinking that Alice was actually attacking her, only to find out I wasn't considered a threat and that I'd been way too hasty in assuming that Alice meant harm to Lucia.

And I wasn't aware that magic users were so common, though I can see the appeal of it. Flinging spells around really is a whole lot of fun, if I'm honest. Though I would still like to pick up a weapon.

And wow, I didn't realize that you were so invested in Lucia's safety. You sound really close to her. Are you two lovers too? Or are you just her knight? Oh, is that too personal of a question? Sorry if it is!

 

Alice was sitting out in the middle of the wasteland that Korra claimed as her land doing nothing. That’s how I met her. I didn’t know what she was until she started…shifting. So I can totally understand if you thought she was some feral…creature…demon thing that needed to be put down. I couldn’t blame you if you still held that opinion, tbh. I kinda do. >.>

Well, if you decide to go for a weapon like mine, I can totally help. Or if you do something different, I can offer encouragement, haha. It’s a different beast than spellcasting, I’ll say that much. Having Acrobat should help, I would guess, with footwork and balance and weight shifting for sure.

…uh, I don’t know what you mean by “too”. I know her current…lover is Vivian Cruz. I…wasn’t aware there was…more than Vivian.

Er, no. I’m not…I don’t swing that way. I just…protect everybody, ha ha…

Are you…you and Lucia are also in a relationship?

 

Yeah, Alice really is scary looking, though she's really nice when you actually spend some time with her. Lucia took me on a ride with Alice and it was super fast, like standing on top of a moving car or train! It was really amazing how fast Alice could go. She's still super scary though. Lucia says she might have a human form too one day.

And whilst I would love to be able to learn to wield cleaving weapons from you, I think I'd like something that I can swing a little faster and is a little lighter for me to carry. It'd be fun to practice with somebody that uses a close range weapon though! Lucia doesn't use one as far as I'm aware.

And yes, she's Vivian's lover, I knew that much. I've actually met Vivian, she's an....interesting woman, if a little intimidating. And no, I'm not her....lover. I'm aware that she would take multiple though and was wondering if you were with her and Vivian, though if you don't swing that way I suppose not.

So what exactly made you decide to defend Lucia anyway? She's super powerful, she could take care of herself. Is it just how much you care about her?

 

You rode her? Like a mount? That’s…actually pretty cool. I didn’t know she had capabilities like that. Means she’s very strong if she could carry you and Lucia with no problem. Ah, that’s not a dig at your weight or anything. Just to move as fast as a car or a train WHILE carrying two people is hard. Hell, I know I couldn’t do something like that.

Sure! I could switch to handaxes and do really close range with you if you want. I’ll be a little faster and you’ll have to deal with two weapons instead of one. I haven’t done it before though, so it’ll be a new experience for me.

Interesting, yes. Vivian is most certainly an interesting character. IMO, Lucia could do better and I wouldn’t be surprised if Vivian put some…spell or curse on her but I don’t have evidence enough to present it to Lucia. So I’ll just leave it alone…for now.

Yeah, I basically feel the same way. Lucia is powerful enough that she wouldn’t even need the likes of me, but she says she does, so I believe her, and I stick around. And she’s the only one I’ve met, so far, that has been a true friend and stuck by my side. She hasn’t been underhanded or conniving and she’s just a comfort to be around. It’s silly, I know, but, being honest here, TerraSphere is about all the good I’ve got going on in my life right now and she turns that “goodness” up by 100 percent. Cheesy, I know…
