The feral berserker has fallen. The wolf troops retreated to safety, but the battle isn't won yet. As the people celebrated over the triumph of killing the Lunar Princess, catapults fired freely as there are no more wolf troops in the way, knocking the walls in critical spots and leaving holes. Some people were sent flying, leaving only few defenders up the wall. Falderen infantry has entered the capital through the holes and quickly filled the city, marching through the heart of the capital; the main keep. They began to plunder houses left and right, burning everything to the ground.

Corvella jumped down the wall, and with the rest of the Astorean troops that's left, tries to stop the enemy forces from getting to the keep. She knew she's at her limits by now, but her desire to protect the townspeople outweight the pain she endured. Discarding her broken armor parts, she opted for more speed to fight off the invaders. And there she goes into a formation of invaders, rushing with her shield up and sword ready to strike. No battle shouts, no commands; everybody knew what they had to do to stop this. And she was ready to die to protect what she had to. Storming into the battlefield, no rain of arrows, blows of mace or strikes of sword could stop her from killing the invaders. Nothing ever did.

_____Kaede Was not in the slightest happy as everyone attacked the girl, watching even as she was taking so much damage Kaede did not agree with any of this. Sure she was attacking them but even so killing was not always the reasonable thing to do. Rushing over to the fallen girl as she tried to yell out to any of the spirits she had from Astramancy for help with this. Surely with magic she might be able to try and get the girl back to life and maybe give her a collar to stop her from attacking again or something.

_____She was going to kill @Zelrius for what he had done, slowly lifting away from Snefird as she reached down for her weapon gripping it tightly, focus slightly blocked by tears as she glared directly to her target and grinded her teeth. "ZELRIUS! I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!!!!" Her words almost shouted at the top of her lungs as she swung her weapon and began rushing towards her target cutting apart everyone in her path. what one could call lucky was the sheer fact the only ones in her path had been enemy troops but as one after another got cut down, and she kept focus locked to zel it was clear she was not going to be calming down.

_____Countless attacks charged against as Kaede's sole focus was nothing more then kill the person who would not spare a commander even if she was on a rampage. She was not going to stop hunting him until he paid for what he had done and even if she was marked as a red player this was something she saw no other way of solving. The others in the area, also would likely get Kaede's anger, but so far she had only one target in her sights.

”YOU EVER HEARD OF FUCKING MERCY! JUST BECAUSE SHE KILLED OUR GROUP DOES NOT MEAN WE HAVE TO DO THE FUCKING SAME! EVERY ONE OF YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS WON’T SOLVE EVERYTHING, JUST MAKE MORE NEEDLESS VIOLENCE! YOU'RE ALL FUCKING WORSE THEN THEM!!”

Lucia approached the inner city with a sly smile. "You people think I'll let it be so easy to take rain on my parade? Lets see you pry the smile from my cold corpse." Lucia spoke, with a sweep of her hand, the sudden movement caused the Wraith's blade to sweep through the air, the gentle breeze cleaving into soldiers as she continued directing that unseen blade. "Tal'darim, spread out and begin sheltering the locals. Even if we are hated, we will make peace with the humans this day as their saviors." Lucia explained as her death knights began to fan out, spreading to the city. Shields slamming down at narrow points to stop the savage invaders from reaching civilian homes. Even if there were some who would strike them from behind oblivious to their alignment, the undead didn't quiver, her undead didn't lash back, instead, baring the burdens of those judgemental people, they ground their heels in to sturdy their shields and swing their spears towards the invaders still. They endeavored to do their duty to the very end.

"Come, Tal'darim, Knights of the End, we will be in charge of this area while our Miss protects the others." Sylvanas shouted above the cries and shouts of the chaotic battle field. Thrusting her frosted spear down into the soil, cleaving a line into the ground with a graceful pirouette. "If they pass beyond this point, we will bury them."

Confident in her knight's abilities, Lucia felt the pain of navigating the battlefield alone, a dark grin on her face as she tried making her way closer to the previous zone of conflict. "It must have been hard. Taken advantage of, used by Falderan. In life you were used like a tool, but I can give you a second chance." Licking her lips, she tried to make her way to the place where the Wolfling race's champion fell. Where there were corpses... There were allies~

Velka had just arrived and things were looking... mixed. Sure, whatever big enemy that was absolutely tearing through her allies was dead, but it seemed like the enemy soldiers were trying to make a break for the citizens. How poor of them. She stood in the way of a small group of soldiers and took a draw.

    Fortuna: Revolution!

    Fortuna: Reave

Velka gave a small smile when she saw what she had drawn. The King of Diamonds. Three, massive greataxes began to form from nearby rubble and cobblestone and she sent them racing through the group without another thought. They did their work, brutally so, but even with all that said and done, they had managed to land a few crossbow shots while she was preparing the spell. Still, she could still fight, and she wasn't going to back down while there was still a war going on.

They had managed to kill both the wolf bitch and a giant angel but it seemed that the soldiers wouldn’t stop they just wouldn’t stop. They poured through at the gate in a wave crashing against its wall like a mighty storm every soldier like the rain itself. They were going to push through and head for the capital if they managed to raze the throne city to the ground then there would be nothing lets of the kingdom. He could not allow that to happen his lord was taking the fight to the king himself how could the lost the task that was set out before them. There were just so many their forces were still damaged from the assault before and most of the players were still hurt.

However, those behind them were not players they were just people and they didn’t ask to be a part of this war. They just had chosen to exist and this was their reward? No it would not end like this not his way, grabbing an arrow from his quiver he fired again and again into the crowd. He would not stop, he would help to stem this tide even if it cost him is life. They had managed to hold everything back from the wolves to now this he wasn’t going to let it end in their failure. For as it is said Semper Fidelis.

His lord had given him one command "give your everything to the fight, hold nothing back. Even to the point of death." That was what he would give right there right now everything.

Balmung rushed through the streets of the city, the smell of blood and sweat overwhelming his senses. All around he heard the screams of the women and children as the nefarious soldiers of Falderen swarmed through the avenues and boulevards, making way for the main keep. He knew he would have to stop them, he just wished that his body would hold out long enough to defend the innocents of the realm.

With all the remaining strength that Balmung could muster, he swung his blade repeatedly at the backs of the soldiers as they filled the alleyways before him so thickly that they clogged them with the mass of their bodies. He allowed his rage to take over, remembering all the pain that he had witnessed today. He swung his sword until only lifeless corpses remained, a gruesome pile of mangled bodies spewing blood onto the cobblestone.

He slumped against a wall and sighed. How much longer until they realized that they had lost? Would they keep throwing themselves at the Astoreans without end? He

Seeing the wolf fall down from their combined assault, The defending army let out a howl of victory. Bradwynne was glad that he at least had a hand in defeating the wolf. But the war did not stop there, since although the wolves withdrew, the Falderen army made its advance to the wall, their catapults almost making a short work on the remaining walls of the east. Bradwynne, seeing this, then decided about his next course of action: It is all or never. The Falderen soldiers need to feel that they had lost, since all of their ferocious beasts had fallen: then the angel-statue abomination, and now the giant wolf.

Sheathing his katana for the preparation of the slaughter, Bradwynne dove towards the attacking army, whenever he would see someone attacking him, the katana would be drawn from its sheath, and then would return to its sheath with minimal blood dripping from it as most of the blood was flicked from the sword in a lightning-quick manner before sheathing it. It was the art of the iaido: lightning speed slashes drawn from the sword with high accuracy. Hopefully the sight of many Falderen soldiers falling down would spread the message to the remaining of them that they have lost the war, and it would be wise for them to retreat. As much as possible, he did not want the war to continue on dragging.

With the alpha slain the rest of the pack scattered. Before the she wolf could launch herself towards the tank she fell to her grevious wounds. Nemean was lucky but the damage was still done. That devastating howl was still ragining through her entire body. She felt like jelly, knees buckling.

Unfortunately, respite was not given for the defenders. More soldiers were chargin forward, all too eager to take advantage of their weakened states. A panicked frenzy urged her body to move, move, move as she realized the army was headed directly for the innocent civilians behind the crumbling city walls.

Shield raised, Nemean recklessly surged through the troops. Her muscles screamed in protest while pain blazed. She had to get to the front; had to get to the civiallians. A forced memory of a stone cold, stiff hand surfaced that caused her to tremble as she rammed her shoulders into the invaders.

    This had to stop.

It took a herculean effort for Savannah to rouse herself and make her way from the camp. It ultimately was the smell that forced her to her feet, the stench of death that lingered and wafted over her, clouding her nose and infesting her brain. She couldn’t shake herself hard enough for the wretched smell to finally leave so she did the next best thing. She left. She grabbed her weapon and began the long jog to Eastwatch. At last call, the wall was still standing and there was a werewolf-woman attacking the forces.

When she arrived, the woman had apparently been dispatched. But there were enemies flooding through the gates, men and women in traitorous colors, wide-eyed with luminous rings circling their irises. She watched as her raid mates met them head-on, the clang of steel against steel ringing in her ears alongside the cry of the wounded, scared, and defeated.

She shook her head, clenched her jaw, and charged in with them, swinging her halberd in a wide arc as she stepped shoulder to shoulder with comrades on either side. She would give her life for her country if need be.

From the corner of her eye, she caught the familiar magic that marked her Lady @Lucia Mierz and, in that lapse of judgment and attention, a stray blade cut through her armor, sending a gout of blood flowing from her. She staggered backward, gasping and retreating,

Moony was currently....indisposed. Having been saved by Backfire's machinations and probably a great deal of everyone else's contributions of which she hadn't seen, out of the corner of her eye, Moon saw yet another stray catapult shot smash into the wall. Blacking out, Moony found herself trapped under a pile of ring-eye'd corpses. Scarcely able to breathe she struggled under their weight to escape like well...a rabbit I guess. A rabbit in a pretty grisly film. It was all kinds of gross.

Head popping out from the pile, Moony looked around, while heavily wheezing. She had apparently missed a great deal of what had been going on, but honestly, looking around, I don't see how anyone could tell. Everything looked like shit before, and It still looked like shit now. Like maybe, just maybe, the shit was ever so slightly ranker. But like really, who's counting.

Moony was obviously confused. She was still in a daze from the 100man corpse-hug snuggle party and she probably had a concussion as well. Attempting to pull herself out with dainty arms, another ring-eye was slashed off the wall and fell onto the pile crushing her. Wind knocked out, Moony found she could no longer move. She looked more like a baby zombie caterpillar than anything right now. And that was where she would remain.

Emerath had been thrown against the gate when the wolf woman had transformed. He had been reeling from hitting the wood, as he looked through blurry eyes at the giant wolf. He had moved to get up, but before he knew it, everyone had slaughtered her. There was nothing left to do.

But then he saw it, the blood frenzy of the soldiers. Emerath’s heart raced, and he realized that it wasn’t over. He snapped into action, and was on his feet. He saw @Solaria run into the middle of the action, and as she healed one of the members of the team, and Emerath launched himself at a man with his sword raised high to strike her down. His fist connected and the man’s neck snapped in an awkward direction as the man collapsed, sword clattering to the stone.

“It just doesn’t end!” Emerath cried out to his companion, before he threw a roundhouse at another approaching soldier, who went flying. But they kept coming, despite having killed their leader. “Solaria! I’ll defend you! Get to safety with the wounded!”

He was just running now. As fast as his legs could carry him. The Lunatic Princess was dead and the beasts had retreated be they were only a brief distraction from the real enemy of this war. The Falderen army was making it's way into the city and would no doubt drive Astorea into even further ruin if they weren't stopped right here and now. Alric didn't care about his own well being anymore. Even if it killed him he would take down the remaining invaders with his own sword and shield, cutting down any he encountered as all hell began to break loose.

    He was running.

He was conscious of his feet moving and of an explosion happening somewhere off in the distance. He could smell the smoke, the acrid taste of it stinging his nostrils and burning his throat. Everything else was blurry. People ran by him, screaming and crying, and he could do little more than shove at them with his good arm, grunting at them to move. But he didn’t know where he was going, didn’t know what had happened. All he could remember was the wolf-woman and a cry of jubilance and then…this.

His good eye didn’t want to look down. He knew he was covered in blood and he could feel the fabric of his shirt and pants clinging to him. He could taste the copper in the back of his mouth, playing with his gag reflex, so he opted not to think about it. Staggering down a side street, he could recall the command ringing out over the battlefield, something about killing the invaders before they reached the keep. Was all lost then? Had they really been defeated?

A gruff voice followed by an evil laugh sounded from behind him. Emil didn’t pause in his staggering walk. He chanted under his breath, held the spell for a second, before spinning and shooting a flame-bolt into the chest of an enemy. He disintegrated on the spot.

The enemy subtracted 1000. If this number ever reach zero, the wall will be considered fallen and the enemy will have successfully capture it. There will be a mini update every hour until the deadline.

Kill all Invaders The invaders have pushed through on both Southwatch and Eastwatch and have started to run amok inside the city. If they manage to reach the main keep and kill all the citizens, Astorea will fall. Chase after the invaders running through the city toward the keep where all the women and children are.

    Posting continue per usual.
Anyone who rolled thus far can post as if nothing has happened.

Backfire had been busy helping fight off the smaller werewolves. Sure, she could have thrown some fire at the Mama-wolf, but she was busy with the smaller ones. Say what you will, but Backfire is pragmatic, thought Backfire as she blew up another werewolf. Besides, it looked like they had it covered, and she had been helping Moon anyway.

With the death of the alpha, the rest of the wolves began to hightail it.

    See? No sweat.

“THAT’S RIGHT! HAHAHA! YOU BASTARDS BETTER RUN!”

Backfire dusted some of the ash of herself and glanced back into the keep where the invaders seemed to be charging in.

“AND WHERE THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING?!”

Backfire took a running start and lept from wall aiming at a running soldier below. When above him:

    “QUICK BURST!”

    profile
    Quick Burst

Typically, Backfire used her short range flame jet boost to quickly dodge attacks. This time she used it to hop in air to soften her fall, as well as scorch the enemy below her’s face. Backfire hit the ground with a roll as the enemy screamed.

    Backfire approached him.

”Rend, rip, and maim. Fire Mine!”

    profile
    Fire Mine

The glowing mine appeared on the enemies chest. Backfire cackled as she saw a group of enemy soldiers running towards her.

”Chaos take destruction's reigns, pushing flames hotter.
Heed the words of your conscriptor. Let's the world's conflagration be primed.
I call upon the fury of fire, augment thyself, breath and grow terrible.
    Upgrade!”

    profile
    Transmute Mine: Upgrade

The mine grew like a web covering the enemy. Backfire kicked the mined enemy hard into the others. And with a grin…

    “REMOTE!”

The mined enemy exploded taking the group with her.

”Flames, heed the call of your controller!
I am the harbinger of the crimson wake.
By my edict devour and bring forth dreams of ash.
May my words shackle catastrophe's will.
    Control Flame!”

Backfire let her fires surge forward at the oncoming enemy forces.

“WHICH ONE OF YOU WANTS TO DIE NEXT?! CUT YOUR NEXT OF KIN’S NAME INTO AN ARM OR A LEG, THAT WAY, THEY KNOW THE TO SEND THE PIECES OF YOU BACK TO! HAHAHAHA!”

Backfire was hurting, she was blowing through her mana, but god damn was she enjoying herself.
