They were still pushing but it was going to be a long fight they were tired and wary this was a battle that weighted heavily on their heart and he could not blame them. The entire attempts to bring down the angel were not slowing it advance and they still had ways to go. Damnit if only there was a way to damage the statue faster. He could feel the end getting closer he had promised each of them that he would work to hold the gates and now he could feel his failure so close. But he could not give up he was a ranger of the crown and that title came with a reasonability to the people of the crown. So he drew back his arrow and fired over and over again at the statue each arrow hitting its mark. They might not have done that much damage alone but together they were able to inflight some pain on the item.

It was then that he saw Emerath the boy was hurt badly if there was another major push he would not survive. The odds were not in his favor in the case calling out to the young lad. " @Emerath Katou get down you have done enough for the case." Calling out to any support in the area, "I need a medic over here quickly the boy won't last without some healing." They were so close but it was times like this that victory was snatched from many people, he could only hope that wasn't the case.

A lot of attacks after he had attacked, and he saw that the angel was in a terrible shape. He thought that some more attacks and the angel would crumble down and would be rendered unusable. But, as he scanned those who were attacking the angel, he was shocked. The most valiant fighters of Astorea, some of them the most high-ranked players of the kingdom, were never in good shape. Some of them had even ended up profusely bleeding on the ground. Maybe just one more attack from him, and the statue will be destroyed.

"Just... One... More..." he was muttering as he struggling to sheath again the katana. He then chanted the same spell that he used twice on the angel, one syllable at a time so as not to fumble the spell, as the violet aura started to build up again on his right hand. He then fixed his eyes on the angel, with the view that after this slash, he would see the stone crack before his eyes. The chant completed, he unleashed again the spell by drawing the katana in one smooth motion. The violet arc zoomed on its way to the statue, but as he tried to steady his aim towards the statue, blood splattered all around his body, and so the arc vanished just before it went through the statue as Bradwynne fell down to the ground.

As he was falling down, he saw his shadow intensify. Was this his death? He then felt something slashing through his backbone. But this was not something that was painful like the numerous cuts he received earlier, and as the slash was finished, it seemed as if the blood on his body stopped flowing out of him. He instinctively let his arms break his fall to see who was the person that slashed him at the back. From the corner of his eye he faintly saw a white-haired person moving away from him, carrying a huge battleax glowing with light. He then stood up and memorized the figure of the person, thinking that he would thank her when it would be all over.

    Southwatch: Cycle 6

When angel statue's health dropped below 30%, it lost its shield. However, despite onslaught of attacks that came its way, the gargantuan, lifeless sculpture endured, survived, and reached the wall with what little life it had left. The object loomed eerily in front of the wall for a while, unable to fly over the wall. Within what seemed like minutes, the body of the statue began cracking, bits and pieces of its ivory anterior broke off and fell onto the ground smashing against panicking soldiers. It was hatching...

Everyone who witnessed the transformation would have seen a feminine form emerging from within. It had no eyes, only nose, ears, and a mouth. Its skin was flawless, smooth, and icy-white, almost identical to the shell it hatched from. When the marble shell broke off from its back, massive, statue-like wings spread from its back. The bottom half of this monstrosity remained in the sculpture state, however.

Once it was fully animated, the creature let out a horrifying scream, it was so overwhelming that everyone in Southwatch would have gone down to their knees as the terrible sound flushed the thought out of their ears. People with less constitution might have bled from their ears, nose, eyes, or mouth. The wall that they have been spending so much effort protecting had crumbled down to the last stone. Then, the enemy's catapult emptied the last of their ammunition at the rest of the wall.

    Southwatch has fallen...

However, hope is not yet lost. If this creature is brought down past 50%, it will extend the time by 5 hours. If it is not dealt with adequately, it will move to Eastwatch while the infantry will move into the city.

Once Seto had been sent on his assassination quest, it was Emmeline's turn to enter the battle ground. As she entered the field, she was met with a scene that almost hurt her to see. Her companions were exhausted, and a giant statue that hatched into an angel as soon as she arrived, an ugly, gigantic angel that screamed out as it did so, causing Emmeline to cover her ears and squeeze her eyes shut, bending over as she braced the noise that rang through her body, falling to a knee as she did so, teeth grinding together. And then, the wall fell, as she looked on in horror.

Pursing her lips gently in thought, she came up carefully beside @Aalam Abungu, one of those Seto trusted, one of those she was told to watch, but also the commander of the team. And, as much as she was ordered to follow Seto, the other side of her that screamed to help those around her was louder. So, for now, she turned her gaze towards Aalam and nodded in greeting, hands folded over her skirt and ever so calm as she did so, "Emmeline reporting in, apologies for the wait. It's looking very... Hellish, but please don't give up hope."

And then, she turned away from him and walked away, finding herself a suitable position to attack. Spreading her arms, one by one floating crystals of ice formed around her, floating in a circle as they rotated around her continuously. Then, carefully, she reached forward and touched one to her fingertip, before sending it flying at the hatchling, tossing each one by one at the enemy with her eyes locked onto it with a look of sheer determination as the ice cycles pierced into the statues side. There was no way that she was giving up, for her 'team', for her master, and for the other gamers playing like her.

Due to being injured, Sylpha found herself unwilling to move and as a result of her inaction got to watch Southwatch fall while unable to do anything about it. A shriek filled her ears, prompting the Yladian to brace herself and turn her attention from the destroyed wall to the angel that hatched from the statue.

All attention shifted towards the being that took the form of an angel. Despite the divine image, the impression it gave off was one that induced fear.

She had taken some healing, but it wasn't enough. Still, she couldn't stand around and let things get even worse. Going to her spell menu, she drew out the formation and shot a beam of arcane energy towards the angel.

Lucia couldn't help a deep frown developing watching the statue coming to hatch and release what was practically a monster, an abomination in Lucia's eyes. Hate welled up within her, different from the rule of red, this was a impassioned and exciting hate, one that wasn't born from pure hostility but a mutual respect and rivalry. "Monster of the path of pure light, even if only in shape-- This is good." Clenching her fists, she pulled the shadow tome from her waist, a sly grin coming to her face as she spoke. "Now, @Savannah Reed I don't think you'll be able to safe guard me from this kind of blow. But do your best to keep fighting, find someone to revive me if I can't walk away from it." She explained gesturing with a hand, her gaze turning then to Vivian, cracking a sly smile on her face. "You wanted to see 'power' @Vivian Cruz I'll show you something special... Something grand." With a tome in hand, black fog began to billow from her body, seeping into the earth, the tattered remains of the wall, the air and atmosphere around her. It was dark, black even but had a warm and comforting feel to it as it spread.

"Sacred Blight." Her incantation was simple, but the effects were far from simple as her army in it's entirety began to rise one by one. Knights, Assassins, Liches crawling forward from the soil shaking off debris. Her generals in particular appeared from the foggy atmosphere. Almost immediately the Elven corpse rushed out with Spear in hand, a cold voice coming from her as she roared. "Spear like Dragon! Slaughter in every Step, Seidou Goui! Through the Roar of my Spear our the power of our kingdom Strikes as one!" Darting forward, the frost of her spear shot forward like a scaled Reptilian head crashing against the Angel's torso. Following behind her, the wraith lacking legs appeared at the Angel's side, the silver mask and gentlemanly style of dress made his identity familiar to @Savannah Reed as he gestured with his hands. "I am that which goes bump in the night, That which haunts the dreams of the continent. Seidou Goui. Through the the sounds of blood splashing, the power of our kingdom slays as one." Mortimer spoke letting chains dart from his sleeve, the daggers attached carried tags and explosives trying to blow portions off of the angel before it could continue.

Val didn't really know what she was doing here. There were things to do in the city, but it looked like there was a lot of trouble going on outside. So she agreed to come and help. After all, heroes were always helping people, right?

She did feel bad about leaving the old man with his broken statue. But people sounded really worried about whatever was going on at the wall.

Her eyes widened as she took in the giant, giant monster looming over them. No wonder people were afraid. They had to kill this? There was no way she could help! She barely even knew how to point her sword at bears in the woods, how could she do anything against the giant stone angel floating in the sky?

But looking around, there were all sorts of people standing up and fighting, even when they were tiny compared to that thing, even when Valdrada could see that they were bleeding and hurt, and really, really tired.

Well, if they could do it, then so could she! With a yell, Valdrada ran forward, stabbing at the stone creature.

If Alpha were present, she'd be able to recognize Lucia's politicians, the pair of skeletons, one short and stubby, the other tall and silly. The pair were eccentric, one wearing a deep blue hooded shirt and shorts, the other seemed to have a knight's costume made out of tin and decorated by a child. "Nyeh heh heh. Hyuman's prepare for comb--" "Hold on there bud... Look around." The stubby one stopped it's taller counter part briefly, glancing at the destruction, the terror and worry in people's faces. This... wasn't a political arena, it wasn't a place for play and fun, for the skeletons to entertain and show humanity that undead weren't so bad. For a moment, the tall one was stunned. Blinkingly looking at the scene a bit closer, he maintained his heroic pose as he tried to speak with reason. "But... No, Sans, we can convince them maybe you know? I believe in them, I bet if we try-- If we try hard enough they'll come around... right?" He asked, hope in his empty eye sockets as the skeleton tried to argue that the enemy wasn't all bad... But the smaller one glanced back at the chaos. "Sorry pal... I don't think these humans are those kinds of humans... Step back and protect the boss. I'll handle this one, if they want a fight, I'll fight." The smaller skeleton spoke, sweeping a hand over his left eye causing it to ignite with an azure blue before pocketing his hands.

"N-No!" The taller one stepped ahead with his smaller counter part. Though it stunned the smaller one into stopping, the taller one briefly hesitated a while longer before shaking his head slowly. Even without skin, the bitterness was clear in it's atmosphere as it began to take off it's knight costume. Revealing the orange hooded robe and long baggy pants that matched it's counter part. "If they're bad people... as bad as you say, I can't be the only one standing back. I... don't like to fight but... I can't let them hurt people" It spoke as a black lines poured down from it's eye sockets like tears. It's right eye igniting in a vibrant orange flame. "I am the hope for a bright and sunny future, a kind and gentle spirit. Seidou Goui. Through my sadness, my woe, the pains of our kingdom cries as one!" The taller skeleton spoke, gesturing with a hand causing a line of sharpened rib bones to rise from the earth in an effort to stab into the angel like sharpened teeth. "... I am the protector of peace, the keeper of oaths. Seidou Goui. Under my watchful gaze and protections, our kingdom's innocent rise as one." With a sharp gesture the smaller skeleton called skulls that opened their jaws firing out thick rays to try and rot away a portion of the angel. Each undead working in tandum, without reserve while Lucia fed her magical energy into them. Lucia only turned her gaze to the side with a low tone, she whispered to @Solaria. "If I die here, help me back up?" She tried to ask with a dry smile.

War sucked. Rodger stood shocked with the rest of the people who witnessed the utter destruction of the barrier they had so painstakingly fought to keep. The marble faced woman hatched and began laying waste with her powers to all in the area. That and another catapult from the enemy, but that was less impressive.

Rodger took a look at his heath bar and frowned. He knew what he should do. Take the chance to retreat and let this whole thing play out without him, it was the smart thing to do. He was fighting for a purely selfish reason anyway, and there were plenty of better equipped people to take his place.....but he just couldn't bring himself to do it.

Without a word to anyone, Rodger stepped forward like, a few other eager beavers and began firing for all his worth at the creature. A few of them even found their mark. Good news was that the damage didn't seem to reflect back on him. Hurrah for small mercies.

"Lucia..." her words were but a short whimper as she saw the dark angel in her vision. Slowly, surely, she was standing up and back on her feet. With the back of her hand, she smeared blood and dark purple ooze from her mouth. With aw and shock, she watched Lucia command her Necromantic Army to aid in taking down this blasphemous angel. Taking a step back to let her do her work, Vivian only could watch as she bravely spewed the words from her mouth.

She shook her head as she watched the power form and her army rise from the rubble. There was so much power there, beauty in all of it. She wanted that as well, not to be some useless tool to be used for anyone. She wanted to be an equal to Lucia! Even if it meant giving her life for it. She had reason to move on, whatever selfish desires she had...she would make just one final more. And that would be to show she was not some weak, pathetic bitch!

Vivian eyes gave way from the luster of her azure blue to a faded and purple contrast. No evil or good in this world was gonna stop her from protecting what she valued. That was herself and her lover beside her. She could not make the dead dance, she could not call upon the spirits of old to join her in combat. She cursed herself and her weakness. Once more the spell circle engulfed again, twice the value as her previous incarnations. Her purple hair swam through the wind as it flickered like a flame. The odd purple smoke from her body was extinguished as she raised her hands. Pure, foul words spoken from her mouth in an unintelligible tongue. She shifted the shadows in the air of the night, pocketed the stars in her hands and then altogether, hunched over and unleashed a wave of baleful energy as far as it could reach.

The white-haired man approached the scene with his usual calm demeanor. Around him was scattered the destruction of the ongoing war. Hundreds of exhausted players panted around him, desperately trying to catch their breath as they desperately gripped their weapons in front of them, trying to create a barrier between themselves and the terrible entity before them. He heard the battle cries of the brave as they rushed forth to try and dispatch their oversized foe, their attacks doing little in the way of decreasing its health meter.

Balmung had heard word that the situation had turned dire, and so he had made haste to try and reach the site of the battle before the action had ended. It was a surprise to see the tall wall that once defended the southern border of Astorea lying about in shambles as some angelic-like being attempted a grand massacre upon the courageous players who were so fiercely trying to defend their homeland. He had not expected the situation to be this hopeless.

As he watched another wave of players charge forth, trading out with those who had quickly tired themselves out on the last offensive, he drew forth his sword and took on a familiar stance, spreading his feet wide and bending his knees, holding his sword over his head, arms bent so that the dangerously sharp tip was aimed at the breast of his enemy.

He hastily began charging the instant the next wave pushed forward. He extended each stride as far as he could, taking powerful steps that surged him forward at a powerful pace. He noticed countless players lying around him as he strode forth, and used their pain to fuel his motivation, throwing self-preservation aside as the moment of attack loomed nearer.

He took a great leap before getting within range, hoping to reach the angelic monster's face but falling short. Not wanting to waste the energy it took to make such a jump, he unleashed a fierce arsenal of strikes on his way down. He hoped this would be enough to move the beast's health meter at least a little, but he feared he wished for too much.

As he landed, he took up another offensive stance, steeling himself to unleash another assault of strikes and cuts.

They were so close to taking that thing down for good. But they failed, and now it had transformed into an even larger abomination. As it screamed in celebration of its hatching, Claire was forced to her knees from pain, blood streaming from the corners of her eyes. Damn it.

And it was still coming for them. It would carve a bloody, lethal path right to the heart of Astorea if it wasn't stopped. Truth be told, Claire didn't feel that strong of an attachment to the kingdom. But what she did feel was the desire to not lose.

Wiping blood from her face, Claire scanned the wall. Falling apart, full of panicked people, dead people, and fighting people. But she spied @Kijin Shihaku, their appointed field commander in the distance. He'd done good work slicing his way through the infantry that tried to swarm them, but there were bigger fish to fry at the moment. Might as well see if he was willing to work together.

She vaulted over to him, quickly reaching his side after a few minutes. Wiping the remaining blood from her eyes, she gave him a wry smirk and gestured at the horrific angel. "Looks like we might have to brace ourselves for a hit from that thing; it doesn't seem like it'll go down easily. Care to join me?"

Regardless of his answer, Claire began readying her spells. Walls of ice would only do so much to block a creature as massive as that, but it was better than nothing.

Judging by @Solaria's tone of voice when she explained what happened at the tunnels, he can guessed that something bad has happened that caused her to join him in the Southwatch instead. Still, he can appreciete her decision to become a full support in the battlefield as well healing his wounds in the process. "As long you keep helping out everyone else, I'm okay with your decision."

But just before they can continue attack, something has happened. Not only most of the wall was completely broken, but he witnessed the statue also broke as a strange humanoid creature came out of it and screeched into the sky. Just hearing it was enough to cover his ears in pain, but not enough to bleed though. Yet, just the sight of the hatchling and the broken wall was enough to make him horrified at this turn of events.

"Why does it have to be like this... Sol, keep healing as you can! I'll try to help the others stop that thing!" He said before he rushed over to where the hatching resided. But as he arrived, he didn't stop running.

After picking herself up after the angel's screech, Velka instantly saw a person who looked very, very hurt. While she had been healing him a bit earlier, it clearly wasn't enough considering he was at the brink of death. Seeing that @Eileen Dover was doing some group healing, she decided to help and focus only on the most injured of the group. There also seemed to be a wave of reinforcements, which was really good considering that despite all the people there, they were being stretched thin.

Seven of Diamonds... Not another heavy weapon. Still, there wasn't any time to complain. Even if she the weapon was taller than her and awkwardly balanced. Moving about the battlefield proved to be quite difficult with the comfortingly glowing yet titanic Zweihänder in her arms. While it was quite light due to its make, the blade was still almost three feet taller than her. Regardless, she managed to get to her target and without further ado, sent the weapon down as if she meant to cut him in half. Upon making contact, a surge of healing energy emerged from the weapon and into Emerath. Her lack of expertise was showing as the heal wasn't very powerful but... it was better than nothing. Whatever the angel statue had planned next, Velka had a feeling they would need every bit of healing and protection they could get to survive.
