For the whole duration of the war, Jace has been hearing the noises such as the blades clashing each other, fireballs slowly destroying the wall, and the sounds of animalistic screems on the other side of the wall. All in a while, he spent the whole time using his Magecrafting skills to repair the magical tools as he can.
Eventually after a few hours of work with a few breaks, the clashing and noises of war was stopped. He was confused about the sudden silence as most of the mages waiting wondered the same. That was until a news from a soldier declared the news about the war and it was neither bad or worst. In fact, the news of the successful defense was enough for the mages in standby cheered in joy and relief. As for Jace, he slumped down to the ground on his back as he sighed in relief that it was over.
With the leader's final instructions, he worked on the last 10 favors to fix the tools before he finally packed his crafting tools and left the tent, relieved that it was over. Sure, he didn't bother to join the battle, but just working on the sidelines was enough for a lower-leveled sorcerer's apprentice like him. Though now that he thought about it, he wished he might play a bigger part in a future event like this. That would be great for an RPG fan like Jace.
