As the infamous streamer had made his way about Falderen, Master Daisuke sought out to explore and learn as much as he could about the land. Starting with Dunnstads. A place highly populated with immigrants and fishing villages. A place where a water mage might find the most use of his time and skills. Being a mage who chose to work with Hydromancy, manipulating water to aid with the fish and or create eyes to keep caught fish cooled seemed like a viable skill he could attempt to use in the hopes to gain some coin while he otherwise bummed around the region. he wasn't much of a combatant but could fight as needed. His ability to assess the areas around him as well as use his abilities in combination with one another made his selection process one of grave importance. This also meant outside of solo grinding his synergy potentials with other mages would be astronomically bolstered. As such he seemed content focusing on making coin and gaining some mastery points. As he continued making his way down the path; the short being of 4'1 would have made his presence known. Searching through the streets for work. Going from stand to stand; seeking a wait to make coin he'd be denied again and again. Perhaps it was due to be Faerin or perhaps just his lack of persuasions given his size. Either way, the frustrated tiny man would arrive at the docks of the port. Sitting down to give his tiny legs a rest as he sat there catching his breath. He'd note several men harassing another, perhaps player on player or NPC; some sort of combination. Regardless he'd sit there and watch as the thugs began to harass the male for his coin. A faint smile passed as he walked over and planted his staff down speaking. "You know it's awfully rude to pick on a man all by himself. If I didn't know any better I'd say you were a coward. But tell you what kid, split that money with me and I'll help remove these pests." confidently he'd finish his words noting another appearing, were they friend or foe? Regardless he'd raise his staff at the now cocky kids approaching him. His lips chanting a fast incantation he'd begin to gather magic in the air conjuring up some water; given the vast amount around it. Saving on some of the magic required as he son shot out a fair blast at them. His weight shifting as he rose the staff again once more freezing the water soaked individuals causing them to be frozen in place momentarily as he placed the staff before him chanting faster and focused on the men. As they broke free he'd grin pointing his staff up against one's chest as they laughed. Counting in his head he'd watch as lighting came down striking upon them; causing a small explosion as it shock wave hit the other; the water conducting more as he jumped back pointing the staff again ready to use more combos against the men as his lips parted to the new comer. "You can share their fate or aid me and we split the rewards..." he'd say giving the male a choice. Either way, he was prepared for some sort of relation; but the original victim seemed to dumbfounded or incapable to join the fight; now he was going to pay double. @Kessler Cole
"Stop messing around with these two." A voice suddenly interjected from not far away. If the shorter man turned towards the source, he'd find another person not much taller then him, perhaps an inch or two at best not far. Despite that, he seemed to have almost no presence to him, an easily forgettable individual, like a rat or snake, he seemed like the type who could slither or scurry away in a flash. His clothing dark, his armor type Medium, but he seemed to wield a pair of daggers and a myriad of knives that were tied to his chest as if they were ropes of bullets from a Rambo movie. The strangest feature was perhaps the various bottles hanging from his waist-- all in all, the strange man was clearly armed to the teeth with equipment superior to those thugs or the man the magician was trying to intimidate. If the mage glanced towards him in investigation mode, he'd find the man's name above his head to be 'Night Gobbo' but exactly what level of rank of power he had would be hard to discern with investigation mode alone. Had he happened to chose the magic Lens as a new player though, he'd be able to use that to see the myriad of magical spells draining out from the man's body, as if he'd been buffed to hell and back by dozens of people before coming. "The Boss sent out the call for a 'Waaagh', now isn't the time to be getting beaten up." He spoke, though compared to the previous words that indicated he was bothered, these ones held a frosty and threatening undertone. Whoever 'the boss' was, it was clear this person didn't want to keep him waiting. Naturally 'Night Gobbo' didn't have the air of a leader, but perhaps a powerful Lieutenant-like figure that kept others in line instead. The small man's gaze turned towards the boy they were all threatening at first, and then towards the Sorcerer as he continued. "I'm not going to repeat myself-- If you don't want to come for the 'Waaagh', the boss won't hold it against you two." The man explained, using he key word 'Waaagh' and mistaking Daisuke as a local who would understand after it had been spread around. The one being intimidated seemed to have reservations about moving, but the group that was getting hammered away by frigid water only moments ago grew pale at the thought of being 'late' for it whatever it was. For a moment there was hesitation, as if they were deciding whether or not to risk escaping before they finally ran. Seeing that the short one didn't chase them though, it was clear they were running towards where they needed to go rather then trying to escape. When they disappeared, Night Gobbo glanced towards the pair once more, with a hapless shrug. "Well, either way." He spoke before turning to head after the group, his pacing was slow enough to be followed, but if Daisuke followed along with his running, he'd find this small group wasn't the only one running. The longer they ran, the more groups they would run past getting equipment together, getting their spells charged before running as well. A wave of people were charging towards a particular site, upon arriving there would be a small army forming one by one as people arrived, a powerful light show from Illumancer buffing people on a grand scale could be seen as different colored lights shot down from a small mound built with rocks. At the top of these rocks muses drummed and played instruments dripping with sweat to refresh each other, keep mana and other stats topped off at max as the reverberation and bass from their instruments shook the ground rhythmically with the stomp of feet rushing towards that center zone.
Watching the events unfold before him he was a bit skeptical at first, but watching the folks he was beating on run away he would pause and lower his weapon. Cautiously watching them head off he'd follow some ignoring the initial male he was to try and help as he saw them rushing towards an unknown goal. The words, 'Boss' echoing into his head; the other individual also catching his attention, but what seemed to bother him most was the sudden rush of folks; from a distance, he could almost feel the immense powers being gathered in such a short time something he sensed the closer he reached the area. His eyes shifting he would tap his chin and sigh, "Well I suppose it would be best to keep some distance." Eyes scanning the area as people seemed to buff one another to high hell, a cluster fuck of madness was the most simplistic way to describe the events before him. But this Night guy seemed to be lost among the folk he could see. But he'd keep his distance. Yet as he noted the bards, the healers and all of the pieces slowly coming together he'd smile, this was some sort of big fight or a raid of sorts. He read about this city is famous for it, but it took it in the literal sense, not the game one. As if the city was raided by bandits or some lesser being. Slowly and cautiously heading into the fray he'd arch a brow and look towards the crowd becoming lost. Pushing and maneuvering his way in he'd search for this alleged enemy or this supposed 'boss' who was to be so feared folks would leave combat for him. But to no avail, he'd wiggle back and around some folk til he hit a safe opening to reach a different part of the area getting a better visible location to scan the area; fairly high among some rock. It was odd but it was reassuring to be able to see a bit farther in the crowds, as well as being able to look down on folks. His eye scanning he would simply have to wait and see what was to come next. However, as he did search and patiently wait his eyes would meet upon familiar faces not far off. He'd decide to wait on beating on anyone, perhaps take advantage when he could most use it. But instead of being a complete dick he'd try to look through his notes and any book passages he had on the area; hoping to solve this enigma before him. "So, just what is this, perhaps. You sir, what's going on, I'm new here. I am trying to figure out why everyone is gathered here. Perhaps this is a drop party or something? Is your party full?" the small faerin would inquire and ask as many questions as he could trying to gain some inside as well as inform his viewers for late; his ego and pride less important and being able to gather and share this information being the top priority. @Kessler Cole
The more Daisuke wandered through the crowd the more he'd find the Buffs stacking up on him as well, starting with the Muse buffs, minor stats would begin to climb slowly but surely as the music continued to shake the ground. Following that the bright blinding lights falling down buffing people one by one would occasionally pass by as well dropping more powerful buffs on people one by one among the crowd. Daisuke himself would experience 'Evil Ward' buff and 'Herculean Strength', though neither were necessarily valuable to the sorcerer, it was clear that they weren't particularly aiming these skills, but were instead trying to blast and belt their buffs out as quickly as possible, as if insisting on draining their mana. Though when Daisuke posed the question to one of the local players, the group near by only let out hearty laughter at the thought of a newbie appearing among them. "This's your first Waaagh? Oh man, I remember my first-- it was crazy." The man reminisced at first, not seeming very helpful, it was only when he was elbowed by a nearby woman that a proper explanation would start. "It's a Buff Party called up by our Boss, if he has a place to raid, he'll call us all up for the song and light show to get us ready for the charge." The woman explained that the 'boss' didn't refer to a monster in game, but a person in reality who called them to this location. If Daisuke didn't seem to follow, she'd get closer, pointing a hand up towards the giant rock-like area. If one looked closely, it wasn't exactly a naturally formed spire, it was clearly constructed with Magic. There was a hole in one side though, if a person were in investigation mode they'd be able to see a pair of eyes in the shadows of that hole. That stone stand was built by a person who was still a part of it, though it was strange carrying other people at his back, Kessler's frame was made of stone. "The boss'll announce where we're going to raid once the buffs are done falling. It'll probably be some other group of bandits or thugs." She said with a bright toothy grin, the tomboyish girl was very clearly eager, her desire for blood practically dripping off, but it was a shared atmosphere among countless others who were excited at the thought of charging into a camp once the magic was done being cast. The louder the music roared, the more things rose to a fever pitch until finally, the strongest Illumancer stood up at the highest point of the stone stage and cast a pair of large buffs. Daisuke would be able to see 'Concentration' fall down on him, but if he glanced at the warriors and melee fighters all around, he'd find their skin turning a burning red shade and some veins rising to the surface making it clear that they'd received something different. Battle Shouts were being used, unintelligible roars came out of those warrior's mouths as they began the charge like a tide or ocean of people surging in a single direction. Those around Daisuke were no exception. They raced off as if they were on stimulants, but only a few stragglers stayed behind. One happened to be that stone stage that slowly shook itself and stood up from it's crouched and bent position. The few on it's back rolled or slit odd as it stood at it's full height of around 9 feet like a stone giant. "Alright, the first wave is off, healers should make sure the ones with 'berserk' don't die too easily, save Concentration for AOEs." Kessler lectured, but the small left over group seemed to understand.
As the male made a face he'd rub the back of his head and shrug, it seemed overall he was still unsure of what was going on. The sudden feeling of all the energy and flowing synergy that formed he'd smile. This Blarg or whatever it may bee might not have been such a bad thing; free buffs. A bit of fighting. Clearly, though he was new to this so he'd need to play it by ear for now. Watching as the other described the event he'd arch a brow and fold his arms. He wasn't the most dedicated when it came to combat but this was more than just fighting. This appeared to be more about fun and teamwork; it would also prove to be of great information. His eyes shifting he'd simply nod at what was going on and wait to see how it would unfold. Hearing the male before speak; well more like a statue, he'd smile. "I see...so that's the boss. the big statue?" he said confused aloud to the other. Soon the party appeared to split up some; the groups going about their way as he himself followed some perhaps adding some support to those who might need it otherwise focusing on his damage and combination. However, the only real concern for this event is what was in it for him; let alone why he should be involved. Outside his own curiosity, he had very little to motivate him. Bouncing between the groups trying to figure what it was they were to do and how he could help. Trying to better understand this boss and how he deligated his army or teams. Being a strategist all he saw was the basics. So he wasn't as impressed with the actual plan as he was with the sheer numbers; a number of folks willing to work with or listen to him. Was this all a guild or was this just customary for players who ran about Dunnstads. Lips curling he'd turn his attention back to the statue figure known as "Boss." Who was he, what was his goal and why should he be in such a seat of power. Curiosity of the individual was now taking precedent over the raid. But the question now was how does he get within conversation range of the figure, let alone meet him. Making his way towards the stone like stage he'd attempt to find a path that might lead him to said "Boss" he had a few questions he wanted to ask mainly just what this was for clarities sake as well as what he could do to help. But most importantly he wanted to know who the hell this figure was. @Kessler Cole
Kessler merely watched the flock running with a thick grin underneath his stone covered face. Seeing the mob running, he seemed proud, as if everything was going according to 'plan', but as Daisuke glanced over the mob and witnessed the 'tactics' himself, he'd likely be disappointed. This fighting force was literally just that; an unruly mob. It was chaotic, uncontrolled and lacked any semblance of order. There was no formation, no strict protection of magic users or warriors at the front. Instead it was chaotic 'every man for themselves' strategy which might only seem more confusing since only a moment ago all of these people had joined together to form the large buff party-- Despite that they didn't seem to have any unity when it came to actual combat. With a harsh shake, Kessler would abandon the armor he'd been using for a stage, stepping out as the armor practically exploded and turned into a heap behind him. Shaking his dreads out, he spotted Daisuke who still seemed to be lingering behind. Without all the stone in the way it was clear Kessler was a somewhat unrefined individual, though everything about his posture and stature seemed to hint that he was a violent thug, the fierce and savage edge that could be seen in his eyes concealed the intelligence and craftiness deeper within. "Still here? I thought all the boys would want to rush in to be first again." Kessler murmured just loud enough to hear as Daisuke approached. He used the term 'boys' as a gender neutral term for his supporters, further adding to his image as a savage but he was choosing his words carefully intentionally. "Not going to try and get your share of the loot huh? We operate on first come first serve. If you're left with scraps later my hands'll be tied." He added as if trying to motivate Daisuke. If the man's curiosity overpowered his greed though, Kessler would merely wait for his question. Of those Daisuke would question or interrogate about Kessler or his ability, the crowd formed would all have almost the exact same word for word story; as if it had been practiced. "The boss? He's a crafty guy, he's not the strongest out of all of us but he's definitely the scariest." If probed further, they would shy away, some frightened, others smug about knowing. Those few who weren't as loyal or perhaps bribed would confess that they all knew Kessler in reality, the reason he was the 'boss' in game was because they knew who he was outside; They understood his potential in the game. "What's up? You looking for a bigger cut?" Kessler asked with a perked brow, wondering what kept Daisuke behind.
As they he seemed to inquire about finding out just what it was that this Kessler man was all about; the boss. He'd found various statments made by several individuals all positive. Either brain washed or the man was far nicer than he looked. Noting his attire once he stepped out of the stone and hearing his words about a cut of the profit's he'd look back and arch a brow. These disorganized lot were going in and hard for a chance at some loot? Shaking his head he'd shift back tot he male and part his own lips, "So you're in charge of this chaos, it seemed so organized, thought out at first; but they all just... disapate why? Is the greed really that over bearing they can't seem to form proper parties or are your followers just not as informed as you may be with how synergy works in parties. I care not for loot on a creature I do now know, let alone one I can not claim desire to kill. What I do know and would like to know more on is you. How did you become the boss man. What about you're actions brings about so many people to this waaaarrrg?" he'd say almost confused on it's title. After a bit of questions asked and the answers finally being revealed he'd shrug. "Fair enough, so you do not have designated roles in this organization here. No official guild or drop banner, you're missing out. The buffs and loot drop. So much more, have you never considered it?" he asked curiously. Trying to prod the male for information. "So the name is Daisuke, what might your name be. No, disrespect but I don't find boss an approriate term for a stranger. So what do I call you?" he said some trying to better understand the male in front of him. The raid was an interesting concept but doing something for nothing without adequate payment, the entire ordeal of friendly fire and how disorganized it was he'd wave his hand, "Perhaps another time. I feel this might not be my cup of tea. Too, unorganized and lack of communication. I feel that if I'm to do something it must garuntee pay and there must be proper communication. So, sorry for wasting your time." he'd say shrugging before bowing and turning his back to leave the area. @Kessler Cole [Exit area/End Thread]
