100 HP MAX HP 100 EN MAX EN It was Ilya's first time seeing Finweald, which resided in Astorea. She had to admit, it left her feeling impressed. The small village seemed one out of the fairy tales she often times became too engrossed in. Yet this town made those exact fairy tales feel.. real. As if she were the princess of Sleeping Beauty or Goldilocks in Goldilocks and the three bears. All in all, Ilya felt inspired above all else. I still cannot get over the fact that Terrasphere is so realistic.. Despite being here for quite some time now.. Ilya recalled her small journey it had taken for her to get in Finweald from Stokbon. It was almost as bad of a journey as it was to get to Dunnstads. Her favorite part of the journey being when she was passing through the wild woodlands of Adecus Forest. The leafy journey seemed all too relaxing under the continuous shade of the treetops. Ilya had remembered reading at that moment something about a spring nearby just in the moment of standing at the first part of the town. If I seem to recall it is rather not a spring.. But the Marsery river splitting around an ancient tree.. Along with the rumored Giant White-spotted eels that I wish to see all too much.. In Astorea, Ilya felt as though there was so much to see, and her tail gave way to her mounds of excitement as it flickered like an open flame. Her ears on the other hand were straight up, with the occasional flick in motion. Ilya wondered on what she would get into first.. A new town, in these far away places.. Where to first... Should I go straight for the spring? The red haired felis questioned herself as she started to walk further into town. Where even about is the spring? Taking it upon herself to ask for directions, she turned to the nearest NPC.. Or was it a person..? "Do you happen to know where Marsery Spring is?" @Alric Stalwart
The question had caught the player off guard as he stared off into the distance. Glancing toward the source revealed it belonged to that of a woman; though when he actually processed what she said Alric could only shrug in response. He barely knew where the local inn was let alone some spring off in the forest. “I actually just got here… Sorry I couldn't be anymore help, but maybe someone else around here knows.” He said while glancing around for a person who might be able to provide more insight. It didn't take long for him to give up. “Maybe there's a map around?” @Ilya
Realizing her stupidity, Ilya closed and opened her palm. With a few taps her map was pulled up, "Ahh here it is. Haha thanks, I totally forgot I had a map.." Grinning from ear to ear, Ilya zoomed in on her map, bringing up the location of the spring, "Oh, my name is Ilya. Got any plans for the rest of the day? Or are you up for an adventure?" The mischievous glint in Ilya's eyes spoke volumes as she looked for the best path to get to the spring. The man in his own height seemed to be rather much taller than Ilya. Ilya herself was a mere 5' 3", yet this man seemed to be a giant, her head had to be tilted to see him properly. He had a sword attached at his hip, which gave way that he had some sort of weapon mastery, not wanting to merely assume she spoke of a single question, "Did you take up the slash mastery? Or is it perhaps the pierce mastery.. Although the sheath seems to be of a slashing weapon rather than a pointed end pierce..."
“Do you… As always invite random people to go with you places? As far as plans go though, I've got nothing. I'm also going to assume you're trying to get to that spring considering that's what you were asking about before.” Alric's gaze stayed focused on Ilya as she examined him in return. He silently wondered what she could have been doing until his attention had been brought to the Oath Blade he had acquired after the invasion. “Pray that you never have to find out the answer first-hand.” He was teasing of course; clearly unconcerned with whether the woman understood that or not. Maybe he'd do better to keep his weapons concealed when not in use to avoid situations like this. At the very least it was something to consider moving forward.
Grinning Ilya brushed off the sharp retort that the man had made, "How else do you become friends with people, it is better than having to show off and gain someone's admiration. Simply ask." In reality, Ilya had a strange view on this world. She had merely nothing to fear here, and was always blunt and obvious about what she thought when concerning this world. "I myself and here at this town in Astorea, to visit the spring and adventure everywhere. I want to know this world like the back of my hand. Training is also a good thing to look forward to around here." Without thinking too much, she held out her hand, "Still haven't gotten your name though.." Hearing his reply to her question she grinned, "I may not look it but I have a few tricks up my sleeves and I am mighty powerful. You might not want to get in a fight with me. Although you could have meant it as if we were approached by monsters.." At this, Ilya put her hand up to her chin as if she were thinking.
“...So, that explains why I don't have any friends then.” Shrugging at the conclusion, it was plain to see that this woman wasn't going to let Alric off easy since she insisted on getting an introduction out of him. It wasn't like the man wanted to upset her though, so it was seemingly in his best interest to just go along with it all. Gently taking her hand in his own he spoke the words, “I'm Alric.” Before pulling away. Looking her up and down again though he wondered if what she said next was true. Really, he wasn't too interested in finding out himself. What he said had been nothing more than a bluff. Almost like something a shounen manga hero would say to sound cool in front of others. Despite surviving a war Alric was still remarkably weak compared to the players he fought alongside. Perhaps if Ilya was as strong as she claimed to be traveling with her for a while would be beneficial. “Uh... Why are we going to Marsery Spring in particular?”
With the name of the stranger now introduced to Ilya, she felt relieved. Not another Zelrius.. Good. Listening to his new question, Ilya began on a reply. "Well, Alric. Good question. The answer to it being simple. I just love exploring new places. I figured since I have some free time I might as well go and see these places here in Astorea. As I usually stick to Falderen.. It seems to be a good adventure in it of itself." Ilya now glanced back down at her map upon finishing her answer. "Why are you here in Finweald.. In Astorea? What is your purposes and intents?" With each word she had spoken she had taken a step in the general direction of the Marsery Spring. "And join me.. We can talk as we walk." Her own footsteps were quiet on the stepping stones paving the pathways of Finweald. Ilya was one who never wore shoes in Terrasphere, unlike her real life counterpart. She had always wanted to be able to walk around barefoot.
Why was he here? He didn't really come with any big plans in mind. Rather Alric's trip to Finweald was just another part of the rounds he was making through all the major cities on this continent. Now that the war was over it would have been wise for any available players to offer their service to people in need wherever they happened to be. “I’m here because I figured there’d be people around who'd need my help.” Determination was clearly evident in the man’s voice as he followed not too far behind Ilya. Really, this attitude was just a result of guilt. Even though he directly wasn't responsible for the conquest and acquisition of the Adecus Forest, he was still a player. This world existed within a game, but for the people who lived here it was real. For adventurers to log in and meddle in the political sphere was sort of irresponsible through his eyes. The least he could do was make life a little less shitty for those who would be affected by their actions.
"That is fair in itself. I often times find myself trying to help people. Yet these sorts of days, I guess I am growing rather selfish? I tend to do things for my own pleasure. I do not think 'what will other people learn from this' rather I think 'what will i gain from this?'... I guess people change.. If not in the real world, then in this world..." Ilya gripped her hands into fists as she continued to thought. The world was changing her. Every day. It was teaching her so many things. The people she met, letting her expand her knowledge. Expand her own person. She was no longer just a tool for success, but someone who could gain success themselves. Who could gather things on their own and she was even someone stronger than she was the day behind. She was stronger, smarter, keener. She knew now that she had to serve herself. "So you have never seen the ancient tree then? Where all have you traveled and been in this world?"
