Claire had come over to ask Meruru about her alchemy. Great that way they could talk about her magic too. Meruru was happy to talk about her favorite hobby. Or would be more than a hobby soon? After all she did want to have it kinda as a profession too. Even though she had no need for money as a princess, it was something she wanted to do really badly. Now that she was so far from home... it actually was kind of a must as well now. She had no real skills so she needed to get that workshop going, or it was going to get rough eventually. Money from small quests around town was not going to work forever. "Whatever the ingredients allow me make really. See, the book has a lot of recipes in it but you can't find a lot of the stuff in here. I never found many of these where I'm from either." She pointed at a few pictures with what looked like old text covered by her own scribbles and notes. "Let's see. I've found some Plain Grass, Eicheloa, and even a few Magi Grasses! It's not much but I might be able to make some starter stuff for my workshop..." Meruru thought about how much money she would have to scrounge up for that and it was depressing but she had to keep at it. "I might try to manage a Healing Salve first. That's a recipe every Alchemist should be able to do. I ummmm... never actually made a item yet." That fact was kinda sad but she never would have been able to back home. It was weird witchcraft as far as her dad was concerned and certainly not something her uptight steward would let the royal princess do. She closed the book and tried to talk about something else. She was thinking too much of home with this topic. "Uh so... you use ice magic right? That's pretty neat. Is it hard to cast real spells? I never could do anything more than a small poof from my rod here. Does it take years of practice? Being a magic alchemist adventurer person would be pretty cool too!' The vanished cloaked guy had completely left her mind. @Claire Thalassa @Reaper
Meruru was obviously passionate about alchemy. Claire smiled as she listened to the young girl talk, peering over her shoulder at the open book. As the aspiring alchemist began naming various plants and ingredients, Claire couldn't quite manage to follow it all, but it was very impressive nonetheless. The recipe book had been written over and scribbled on so much that Meruru had to have been studying this for quite a while. "Interesting. I wonder how someone managed to discover all those recipes if their ingredients are so rare." When Meruru admitted to not having made anything yet, she gave the girl an encouraging smile. "Everyone has to start from somewhere. You'll have plenty of chances to practice. Falderen has many regions, and I'm sure that you'll be able to find a lot of different kinds of materials for your potions if you travel around. Ah, and on that note, if you ever want some help gathering ingredients again, feel free to let me know." Claire didn't miss the slight change of tone when Meruru turned the question to her magic. And yet, despite such... astute... powers of observation, she still had not caught onto the fact that Meruru was not, in fact, another player. "Yes, I control ice and water. Thank you," she said, smiling at the compliment. "I'm still very much a beginner, though. Casting spells isn't difficult if you let the game take over when casting from your menu. The beginner-level spells are very simple and easy to memorize, so it shouldn't take long to master them. I'm sure you could do it too if you put enough points into a magic mastery."
_____Reaper was not really focused on the two women as he rested, enjoying the mostly quiet now with the hawks gone. He did not seem dangerous while he was relaxing but his mind was still clicking away as he tried to remember a small reason he had been out here. His face growing annoyed as he recalled the reason he was out in the woods. Last night he had gone hunting with some of the people from the village not far from here and since they caught nothing he offered to stay out the night watching the traps. _____Of course this was mostly a cover so he could go do some hunting of his own in Stokbon and the real world that he was tired after it all and passed out in the bushes. Moving to stand up as he looked in the direction of the traps they had set last night and slowly back to the group, they seemed to be fine on their own currently and lost track of him so he vanished into the shadows, rushing back to the area in hopes something was caught to not go back empty handed. ”If I knew living a double life was this annoying I would have given up before even trying… But I can’t lie it has been a good practice incase this game grows boring and i return to being a hitman.” ~Reaper’s exit~
