  1. With every member of his team in agreement, Cain took it upon himself to organize everyone's roles in preparation for their assault on the mine. Ashiore would be entering the cave and exploring its depths to the limits of how long her ability allows her, that much was obvious. However, Aden was surprised and a little bit disappointed that he was given another task.

"Very well, I'll do what I can." was his simple response to the role assigned to him.

The arcane archer took solace knowing that being sent to scout the exterior of the cave was an equally important task. At the moment, none of them were familiar with their environment, even Farmer Jude who only had intel to share about getting to the mine and the passages his group had initially taken before they were ambushed by the Kobolds. As evidenced by the cobwebs littered all over from the forest floor up to the canopy of even the tallest trees in the area, Giant Spiders call the area around the mine home. If they entered the mine without sufficiently mitigating the threat of the spiders, then chances are, they would get ambushed by the eight legged abominations and end up getting sandwiched between them and the Kobolds as they make their escape. Better to take these things out now than risk having to fight through them later.

Still, he was only one adventurer, and these arachnids should have the numbers advantage. Even with the benefit of stealth at his disposal, he can't completely bank on his Rogue skills yet as one misplaced step or one poorly shot arrow could easily compromise his position and the damn things could just easily gang up on him.

Conveniently, it seemed like Cain and Eldhi would use some sort of distraction to draw out most of the enemy forces, further increasing the effect of his stealth capabilities. This should hopefully make it considerably easier to take out a chunk of them if they're going to march through the forest in droves, and attacking wouldn't be too much of an issue as they'd be far more focused on the distraction.

Jude was also sent back to their encampment seeing as he had served his role and had no further reason to be there. Staying would just unnecessarily place his life in danger and would be overall a liability to the team if they had to worry about protecting him while fighting these creatures. His efforts would be repaid once they successfully rescue his companions.

"We'll save your companions... and avenge those who have fallen. Now get out of here and make way for the camp post haste. It's gonna get dangerous real quick." said Aden to the portly man.

Once Aden saw Ashiore's body go limp as she possessed one of the bats flying overhead, he admitted that it was truly a bizarre sight. It reminded him heavily of how a key character in his father's favorite TV series takes possession of an animal or even a human's body for a certain amount of time. If she could see visions of the past using that form, and even possess humans, then Aden would start calling Ashiore by the name of "Bran". However, he felt like such a skill would be far too overpowered if what Ashiore does is indeed "warging".

Bat-shiore entering the cave was also a signal for Aden to act, and get himself situated in a hidden yet highly advantageous location. The archer managed to find a vantage point high above the treetops where he'd be hidden from plain sight yet have overwatch of the events transpiring below him. Now, he could only wait for what happens next.
