Biography
Nathan grew up within a small suburbs in America, where he grew up with his two parents, his mother named Cho and his father named Hikaru, and his brother Michael. His parents had moved from Japan before either of their sons were born, and had found good jobs that gave them enough money to afford a good house. They soon bore Nathan, and then a few years later they bore Michael. The two boys grew up playing within the woods near their house after they found a hole beneath the fence. The two found sticks and started to fight one another. Nathan preferring to use a short weapon that resembled the look of a dagger, and his brother used a weapon that resembled a small rapier. They practiced for months, coming home with bruises and cuts, explaining that they fell out of a tree or tripped on a root when their parents asked. A few months to a year later they had both gotten well with their weapons. Nathan and Michael keeping an even score in their fights and having no problem finding openings of each other's weak points, and soon they grew close.
A few months later, Nathan and Michael's parents bought them two laptops for Christmas. They were basic models, but they were able to play games which is what both of them wanted. Soon they downloaded an online game and worked together. His brother, keeping to the Japanese heritage they had, used the username "Jiro." Nathan was unsure of what to use. He thought for a moment, and wanted a reason to remember his family, as it was important to him, and he decided to use both of his parents name within his username, birthing the username "Hikoru." They both played for months, donning different play styles and easily defeating bosses together. They grew closer within the game, and even using their usernames in the real world when they talked to each other. This went on for months until Nathan hit the 8th grade, where things went downhill.
Nathan grew more unsecure of himself in these times, always wondering if he looked good or if his attitude was well. He cared more about how he looked instead of how his grades were, causing him to lag a bit behind, passing papers late but keeping his grades somewhat high. His parents grew worried and confronted him, which he just shoved off as "I'm just too busy thinking of high school and college." As he knew his parents cared about his education. His brother however knew the lie, as he had noticed that his brother's attitude had changed at home, and even how he looked. He confronted him within their game, which enraged Nathan to leave the game without a word. This was when the split started between the two of them and soon their relationship distanced further and further as time went on. Soon, they barely even spoke to each other, ignoring each other in the halls and finding other people online to play with.
As time went on Nathan cleaned up his act and got much better grades, and soon became a sophmore in high school, easily skipping the 9th grade and a grade ahead of all of his previous classmates. He didn't care as now he spent all of his time with himself, keeping quiet within classes unless he was called on, and ignoring calls and negative comments from other students without even a glance towards their way. His parents and Jiro grew distant in their relationships, and they now barely ever spoke, unless they needed him to take out the trash. Nathan was hired on a well-paying job that he worked at when he wasn't at school, coming home late and sleeping for school the next day. Soon he graduated with high honors, and left for college, where his depression grew and he closed himself off more and more. He was trying to look for an online game, as he had years ago with his brother, that he could play to lose a bit of stress playing. He had bought the latest gear to use, and he wanted a place where he could get fully immersed. He traveled the web for what seemed like weeks, until he received an email from a person he knew was a bit more experienced with Virtual Reality games, about a game he had never heard of, 'Terrasphere.' He downloaded it quickly after reading into what the game was, and put on his equipment and started up the game after his classes were done.
