A brisk wind blew across Roland's shoulders as he finally hiked up one of the taller summits in the desolate Eastern Norfova. Looking at the waning light to the West Roland couldn't help but wince at his timing, his prey would likely have the upper hand in the darkness. It wasn't a choice he had made willingly, he had heard about the bounty in Stockbon, and sent a message to his guild right away. Within moments he had found a member willing to help and had set off. What he had underestimated was the amount of time it took him to get here. Cutting through Brisshal was easy enough, but the trails exiting the area were overgrown, and lightly traveled. He ended up having to use one of his older swords to cut back the brush. Once he had entered into the current zone, the problem wasn't completely alleviated either. Norfova had once been just as lush as Brisshal and probably even Acedus, but something had happened here, something evil. All of the plant life had died, leaving withered vines grasping at every nook and turn until the landscape finally thinned out to a desolate rolling prairie. Once he had reached the hilly terrain he had found the highest hill he could find and sent a message to his teammate. It would likely be some time before sunset by the time in which she arrived, well unless she was close in which case they would have one or two hours of the dying light to fight with. In the meantime, Roland really didn't have anything to do while he waited for Nalani but ponder the beasts they were sent here to cull from existence. Blood-Cursed Wolves and Dire Wolves apparently were considerably more dangerous than their non-cursed brethren. The encounter with wolves several weeks ago still wasn't a pleasant memory, leaving him feeling rather trepidatious about the quest. Shaking the thoughts from his mind Roland decided it was best just to try and not think of anything as he waited. @Nalani Rosa Thrown die: 11 +20
