Once the Jana mask is on, Serena’s personality flips like a switch. Jana is a rambunctious young woman who doesn’t take no for an answer. She’s always on the lookout for adventure, and a new companion to go exploring with. She’s confident in most of the things she does, may it be making decisions or just the way she carries herself. Jana is blunt and she blames it on her Italian heritage, but she never regrets anything that comes out of her mouth. She likes to hype up her company in one of the few ways she knows how, being extra to the max, another characteristic she’ll gladly thank her mama for. Out of game, Serena is exhausted of making all of the important decisions in her life, in game Jana allows her companions to make most of the calls and obediently follows. Serena’s motherly nature is prominent at times, and her cheap way of life IRL can be seen when Jana becomes overly picky when spending currency.

Biography
Serena was born in Naples, Italy. She was born into a rather large family, despite being an only child. For the first three years of her brand-new life, Serena lived in her grandparents’ villa with her mother, and father. Some months before her fourth birthday, Serena’s dad had gotten news he’d be transferring to America for work. His company had said it could possibly turn into a permanent location change, so Serena kissed Italy goodbye and left for the land of opportunities with her mom and dad. A handful of years later, Serena graduated from elementary school and was headed for her most awkward years of life. Her first day of middle school was the day a chapter in her life was coming to an abrupt end. She could still remember the heartbroken expression on her mother’s face when she had picked her up from school that day.
Turns out, America wasn’t all that great. Especially for a flirty middle aged Italian man who had too much money and not enough time for his wife and kid. Serena’s father had confessed to her mother, he had been cheating on his wife with his secretary for the past year and a half. And now he was leaving. Serena’s grandparents had been furious, telling them to come back home and that America held nothing good for them there. However, her mother had calmly replied that something greater awaited them here. Scraping up enough money, the mom and daughter duo found a small apartment in Queens, New York and did their best to forget about all the bad.
High school senior year had been a breeze for Serena, she had been at the top of her class all four years. Things had been looking up, her mom had found a solid job at a lawyer’s office, and the college she had been hoping to attend had sent her an acceptance letter with a full ride scholarship. Those long nights of helping her mom with odd jobs and studying her butt off had finally paid for itself. To celebrate, her friends had convinced her to go to a party the week before graduation. She couldn’t remember much about the night, the only thing surfacing up from the drunken memories was being shoved hard into a dark room. The next morning Serena found herself in an unfamiliar setting, snuggled under unfamiliar bed sheets. Beside her was her boyfriend of a few months, scrolling through his phone with no symptoms of a hangover. She had realized she had been played, taken advantage of when she had been way too drunk the night before. And when she announced nearly a month later that she was pregnant, her so called boyfriend disappeared without a trace.
Her mother wasn’t mad, if anything she was excited for a grandbaby. But she had asked Serena to think about moving back to Italy with her grandparents for college, she thought maybe being around family back home would make her feel better. Serena had missed Italy more than anything when her father had left, but she didn’t want her mom to be living in such a big city by herself. It didn’t take much persuading to get her a one-way ticket back home. College had been hard at first, with her swollen belly and having to schedule days for doctor appointments. It only got harder when she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
Liliana Bianchi was an angel, Serena’s mother couldn’t make it to Italy to be there when she was born, but she had cooed and squealed upon seeing her for the first time when Serena had facetimed her after delivery. A few years pass and Serena is back in New York, living in a studio apartment in Brooklyn with her four-year-old daughter. She moved back to be a part of an elite nursing program for those going into critical care. Her mother had found a new home, a bigger apartment on the quitter side of Manhattan. Serena could always count on her for watching after Liliana when she had to go for her internship, after all, her mother’s coworkers loved her little girl to death. Serena had caught wind of the game while working with some patients, the concept had piqued her interest. Lo and behold, the gods had graced her with a copy of this strange game, so she decided to give it a go. Once entering the virtual world for the first time, Serena was given a small chance to really let loose and not worry about responsibilities for a few refreshing minutes. It became a stress relief for her.
