  1. Grim could only nod towards the response that Solaria gave about the air being chilly, his mind was too preoccupied about the world around him and how he was going to react to everything he would have to come face to face with, such as eating and sleeping. But when he heard her speak to him about him being grim and the nickname that she gave to him, the tone of it wasn't something he didn't like and it left a sour taste on the tongue. "Grimmy doesn't... that sounds rather in-delightful to the ears." "J-Just call me Toka-chan." He stated as that was the nickname that his sister gave him, and why not have another person call him that, it wasn't like he wasn't use to being called it, but Grimmy, that wasn't something he wanted to be called by.

Hearing the sound of people talking in the distance made his ears flick and shift, the scent of food filling the air made his mouth water slightly, his tail now swaying and flicking about as it wrapped around his waist before his tone filled the air.
"Hmmm... very well then Sola-sama, let's grab a bite to eat." His tone was definitely better, as the words he were using, small text boxes popped up around his head, only to those who possibly didn't know his language, all being translated from Japanese to English, his gray eyes locked onto Solaria with a soft tone.

  2. "I'm fine calling you Grim if you'd rather, I just had to try it at least once. What's the point of life if you don't take chances, right?" Her words were said with laughter, her lackadaisical mannerisms becoming more obvious as time passed. Naturally one to jump on her impulses, she would say and do pretty much anything that passed through her mind. Thinking could come later, right?

As he gave a rather unusual nickname, the girl was bemused once more. 'Toka-chan' was very much sounding of the Japanese language, and as he seemed to switch to speak it for a moment to leave her reading the translations, she wasn't sure what part caught her more off guard- his change of language or his rather heavy duty choice of honorifics.

"If I'm gonna call you something friendly, you shouldn't be so formal with me either, Toka-" She paused, trying to make sure she felt sure of herself when she pronounced the honorofic he'd opted to give her. "er...Toka-chan." Somehow, anytime she said these things, she always felt like she wasn't doing it justice.

When was the last time she'd used it outside her surprisingly-hard-to-find kendo classes? Oh, right, old friends. That was about it. "Just Sola's fine with me. I didn't mean to complicate things that much. But...Where'd you pull Toka out of anyway?"

  3. Grim listened more to Solaria's words, seeing how his strange way of saying things and after some time of pondering to himself about what to do he sighed out, his warm breath filling the air about him as his deep, masculine voice rang out. "Fine by me.." He says to his green haired friend before hearing more words come out of her mouth, commenting on the nickname for her and asking him where he got the name, he rubbed his forehead before speaking out once more. "It's something my sister calls me." "And why she calls me that is simple, we're both part Asian, one fourth Japanese."

He simple states before placing a hand on her head and gently patted it before he walked passed her, his tail unwrapping from his waist and quickly wrapping around her wrist, smiling as it slid up her arm and the tip tickled the underside of her chin. "Come on, let's get something to eat, then we can go do a few quests." "Or go train in the forest." The white locked male stated before his tail flicked away from her chin and wrapped around his waist once more and he turned around, spinning on the heel of his boots and giving her a smile, his feline canines glinting in the light of day at her.

  4. The fur that tickled under her chin was soft, surprising her as she let out an unintentional yelp, having been surprised at first by the sensation since she hadn't quite seen it coming even from peripheral view. Her giggles took over quickly, but even so, a small redness took her cheeks over. It was pretty embarrassing being so caught off guard by what was probably a simple gesture.

"Ah, that explains a lot. I've played with a lot of people from Japan since I was a kid, but I always told them not to be overly polite with me either. Though they never went quite as far as you did just now...I'm not your master, y'know? I don't plan to be, either. Friends should be friendly, right?"

She got herself a snack at the food stall, ordering something simple and offering him a taste soon after. "Training...I guess the best place to do that would be outside the city, though there's a training hall here if you want to take a look, too. Which is better for you?"

  5. The neko male nodded to everything she said, but having a slight frown when she stated she wasn't his master, which made him slightly regret patting her head and placing one hand into a side pocket of his trousers before grabbing a snack as well. Listening on what she said about training, how the city had a hall for that or outside the city, frankly since they were near the outskirts of town, he wanted to stay there and hunt a few creatures. "Frankly." He stated as he consumed some of the items he got from the stall, upon having a clear mouth he spoke. "I'd like to stay outside of the walls of the city, since we could actually run into those jerks in the tavern again, I don't think the guards will turn a blind eye to a Felis starting a fight inside the gates."

Grim simply noted despite his race not being treated poorly nor were they treated like humans, he didn't want to have a bounty on his head and have to resort to running, since from what he heard, the guards were well trained and would kill if need be. "Besides, hunting MoB's would offer better experience and possible loot if you think about it, hitting some dummies would offer little combat experience towards me." He hated to say that, but it was true, since training dummies in most games, at least the ones he made, training like that only offered one or two points of experience whenever he slew a training mannequin. "Sound like a plan then Sola?"

  6. His explanation of why he'd prefer the outside rather than a training facility made sense. Practicing on a dummy was mostly good for learning the controls- it wasn't as needed if you just wanted to get something more practical done. "Well, I don't know any quest givers right now in the area, but we can probably beat up some pests out there anyway."

Laughing, she pointed towards a forested area, a grin on her face that mirrored the dimming sunlight. "I know the forest is full of troublesome things. Also good for gathering, though. We can beat the problematic bugs and get some rewards while we're at it. If I gather enough, I can make some medicine you can use in the future as a friendship gift, too. What do you think?"

  7. "That sounds like a plan Sola." He states lightly before finishing the rest of the edible items he had, then after that he adjusted his tunic and cloak before looking up at the sky, seeing that is was near mid-day, something that was good for them. "Well, let's get going before we loose all this daylight." Grim remarks on and begins walking past Solaria, looking around ahead of them before turning his head once again and flashing a quirky smile towards his female companion. "Maybe we can also find some herbs and berries, I might try out a profession style class to make food." His calm tone filling the air before he stayed put, waiting for his short friend to catch up with him, his gentle tone was coming off of him, now that he was more comfortable with her.

"Hmmm... being alone with a cute girl, let's hope nothing happens." "Nah, nothing will happen." Pondering to himself as his cream white tunic with the brown lined pieces and dark brown trousers tucked under the waist band while his tattered cloak hung over his shoulders, giving him a more hermit like appearance. The only thing that gave him a different tone was the large blade at his waist that he held firmly with his long white tail, his ears flicking ever so gently while scanning everything behind him and to his four, five six, seven and eight o'clock positions. "Well slowpoke, by the time you get here I'll be an old man and this game will be beaten." He said, poking fun at how long it was taking her to finish her food and begin their training session, his handsome features more present as he smiled lightly, his light gray eyes glinting in the sunlight.

  8. She found herself entertained as he spoke. His sudden interest in cooking was endearing to her, and as she nibbled some of the last bits of her snack, she had to work hard not to choke on it from not paying enough heed to her actions. "If you do become a chef, you'll have to let me taste test sometime." She grinned, a small crumb on her cheek trying to make itself known under the sun.

"It's bad to rush when you eat," She mused, wiping her face with her soft red sleeve. "You should eat slowly. It helps you digest better. And if you're good about your health, you'll be better as a fighter, don't you think? The best fighters know how to tame their habits to stay healthy. At least, I've always thought so."

Despite her words, she seemed to begin quickening her eating speed. She finished her food and wiped her hands off, rather nonchalant about it since it was mostly just crumbs. She ran closer to him, a hand held up in the air as a fist. "Let's go practice our moves on some pests. Together we definitely won't lose to them!" Grinning, she began to jog ahead. They'd surely find something fun in the distance.
