  1. Logging in....

    We welcome you, live well.

The flash of light was absolute and infinite, a white so incredibly white that for a brief instant Detritus all but forgot what color was. When people spoke ignorantly of 'nothing', they imagined ebon black...but this light, this was what the abyss was composed of.

Just as he began to become enraptured with the image of finality...it was gone; replaced with verdant green and amber foliage as far as the eye could see. A small stream split off into three small ponds just to the left and even the forest floor was beset with a ensemble of browns and reds intermixed with the ever-present bushes and wild flowers.

It was absolutely gorgeous but not just because of the visionary stimuli, no! Detritus could inhale the scent of this wild scene and feel the coolness of the breeze on his flesh. Sensation rippled through his frame and the sheer fact that he was 'here', in this World and yet laying down peacefully back in his own bed was overwhelmingly awe inspiring.

Closing his eyes briefly to center himself, Detritus let out a slow and controlled breath. The act calmed him down and let him focus on why he'd come here, why he was Detritus and not Alistair here. It was time to begin, to become Detritus and utterly abandon the prospect of his former life here. The two were separate and should remain as such.

    So, he opened his eyes.

First things first, he noticed his lack of weaponry. Most would expect some sort of basic starter gear but supposedly this was different...more real in a sense, he supposed. He'd need to procure something to defend himself, something multi-tasked or easily carried for his lithe character. Given that thought, he was quite happy with how his avatar turned out. Merely looking down at himself, he admired his smaller size but tense poise. The black and reds screamed nefarious, at least to his own psyche.

    A rustle suddenly!

This was a forest after all, he reasoned. Given the chance of it being a wild beast while he'd no equipment, Detritus made the most intelligent decision he could.

He began to run south, civilization was always south of the river's flow.
