    No Holds Barred

Placed nearby a certain medical tent is a somewhat makeshift wrestling ring, the sheer luck an old Felis had in obtaining such a thing. Even odder is the fact that Odin Savage, the ring's owner, was a new player by comparison. There was not much to the entire ordeal. Place a bet of some kind, challenge and opponent, and the winner comes out with double. Simple as that. There were not many options for the kind of match, although someone courteous enough is welcome to give supplies for mud wrestling. A few, simple rules were posted:

    1. Obey tap outs, otherwise you'll have a scary Felis elder on your ass.

    2. No breaking limbs, bones, or anything that involves destroying parts of the body. People want to try this multiple times too ya know!

    3. Be wary of weight and gender differences. No need for anyone to be outclassed by severe amounts.

    4. No abilities or magic. Just pure brawn and grit!

    5. Have fun!

    6. Feel free to challenge Odin himself~

Odin Savage stood there with his toothy grin, narrowed eyes more than excited for whomever decided to take on the challenge with his or her friends. Perhaps even enemies! Heck, with his bulging musculature, someone might be up to go against him.

((OOC Rules: As per Dark Harvest Stall rules, no exchanging actual GP, only for RP purposes. You may either RP your duels out, or use a 1d100 to determine who wins. Due note only one duel at a time, but feel free to spectate!))

    Service: Friendly wrestling bouts.

  2. Feeling energized from eating a good amount of sugar and protein after a rough few hours of healing drunks and clumsy folks in her medical tent, she was on her way back to her 'mobile clinic' in hopes of being able to help some more people- even if, really, she just wished to have less patients for once in her fickle life. It was when she was not more than a few yards away that she noticed it: some sort of wrestling ring, a rather ruggedly large man running it and seeming to have an awfully dry spell.

Wandering up to @Odin Savage, the girl smiled brightly. "Hey there! I run the medical tent there-" She pointed at her stall, before lowering her arm once more. "Looks like you're not getting much business, and I need to work off some of the calories I just inhaled- I think I ate more than I needed to for energy regeneration. Mind if I take you on before I get back to work? It might get you more customers if we make a show of it. Besides... I'll probably be seeing your customers afterward if there's anyone harmed, right?" She giggled, making sure to remove her sword and place it somewhere safe in her inventory, rolling up her sleeves as she held a hand out to the buff stranger.

"I'm Solaria, owner of Sunshine Salves. Please honor me with a match. I may not look very strong, but I've got plenty of training in swordsmanship, and that requires more than just strong arms, you know~?"

[OOC: I'll wait to roll until he actually accepts the match and such.]

  3. Pansies. Well, he was not able to quite call the few passerby who gained interest such a term. Most of the visitors to the ring seemed to be on the not so stable end of things. Odin was not against drinking. In fact, he was tempted to log out after this and have a beer or two. Yet, too many around him were finishing up his or her drinking contest, ignoring the stall that required some level of consciousness and rational thought. To an extent. By no means did the old Felis have any right to say he never lost his planned idea and go off the rails. A few of the wandering townsfolk did take some stress off and finish whatever quarrel they had with each other.

    It was something, at least.

Leaning against the edge of the ring, his shirt resting on a nearby chair, his arms planted themselves on the ring floor behind him. In effect, it showed off his hulking physique, which may have turned away the simple minded from engaging the player. Until some green haired darling rushed up to him and began her inquiry. "Oh? OH! Gahaha, so yer the one Ah made the awful gewd decision of settin' up mah ring nearby," he said, Odin's wide grin offering a pleasant welcome. This one did not seem to be much in the way of physical prowess, however. He had seen strong woman built like tanks just as much as he saw a typical man.

A brow raised as he examined the girl, just in case. Solaria, as she introduced herself, did have a distinct argument about facing a man who outclassed her in both weight and build. Rubbing his beard, the cat elder's throat let out a low rumble, "Well darlin', Ah gotta say Ah'm still concerned 'bout whether or not Ah should take yew on. Gewd doctor's gotta be in mighty fine shape if'n she's agonna continue helpin' fokes at a medical stall." Odin glanced around his area, getting a few, drunken gazes and quick glances. Nobody else was about to place a challenge anytime soon, and it was rude to waste this girl's time.

After all, she deserved something for herself considering the medical stall required dealing with people with the potential to be unable to control his or her drunken state.

"Daaw well, Ah'll bite. Just so we can be sure neither of us git hurt real bad like, it'll be a game of sorts. Whoever gits their opponent down on the mat first three times wins. No brutal tossin', no joint breakin', yew know, simple take downs and the like. Come on now," Odin said as he grabbed a one of the ropes and flipped himself into the ring. She was quite a sweetie pie. Keeping a professional outlook in her introduction with pretty damn good logic poked at the old man's brain, knowing full well the sweetest of ladies turned out to be the most dangerous half the time. Heaven knows what happened during the Felis's youth once his mother's volcano button was pressed.

Turning around his his corner, his chuckle emanating throughout the audience lacking arena, he spread his stance wide, arms out and ready for action, "Guess Ah should be all proper like and introduce mahself. Name's Odin Savage, and yew best bet the years ain't draggin' me down! Let's git it on!"

  4. A friendly fellow with an interesting speech pattern, Solaria would have to tell herself quietly. It was the first thing she noticed about the man after his size and shape, after the fact he had some fluffy ears and a rather hefty build. Her smile didn't seem to fade, his words seemingly entertaining her- even if she'd note certain things he said weren't quite accurate.

"I'm no doctor, but I'm learning to be a nurse. I guess that's close."

Giggling a bit, she waved off the flattery soon after. A nice man indeed, worrying for her and her patients the way he was. Perhaps a bit too much, in some ways, but she had to admit it was a good thing to see from a ring leader- which, for a change, didn't mean the head of a group of monsters as she had seen a number of times since joining the game.

"You shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I don't ask to fight expecting to win in a case like this, when it's a style I'm not used to. I ask for the challenge. If I thought it'd be easy, it'd just be boring, wouldn't it?"

She took to her corner and stretched herself, limbering up with a grin and groan. "There's a lot of drunks around here today. I need to let loose a little too. This'll be my form of letting loose, since I refuse to touch that stuff... I regret helping making some of it as is."

Prepped and ready, she took her stance and mimicked him just so. "I have no doubt in my mind you've seen some things, but you're not the only one. Let's have some fun and do our best. Might as well see what my patients to come will have been up against, right?"

    @Odin Savage

  5. Oh, he was enjoying this girl's company, perhaps more than he bargained for. Kids with spunk were a surefire way to increase the ever untamed width of his grin. Odin chuckled, narrowed eyes glaring at Solaria, "Well if'n Ah can call mahself an honest man, no doubt yew young fokes have seen more of this here game than Ah have. Doesn't mean I won't-" In the old man's rant of confidence, his grin vanished and eyes widened upon noticing a disturbance in the general positioning of his opponent. In a near split second his mass went from a standing bear, to an elder cat dropped onto his ass in direct contact with the ring floor.

A slight growl erupted from his throat, soon followed by a wicked grin, "Already goin' for the first strike, ain't yew darlin'? Well now, must say that ain't the only easy fall yer agonna git. No sir Ah ain't gonna let ya best this old bastard." Rearing his strong arms and legs back, he pushed forward and kicked himself back into position, body crouched as he slid away from his opponent. Watching her movements was vital if he was going to show up the younger crowd. Just because they had an advantage when it came to these games did not mean a lack of sense from the previous generation.

Close calls, graceful dodges, and all around one hell of a show going on between a leopard like fellow and a diminutive lass by comparison. Odin rushed along the rope, bounding off one of the corner posts and leaping to a position for distance. Something about the Felis race and having acrobatic capabilities. Bah. Even if the elder did not chose to be a cat folk, he would have done the same maneuver. Statistics aside, beast men and women were always an interesting sight to see in these fantasy realms. Distractions, however, needed to be kept to a minimum.

Now was the do or die part, minus potential of dying. It was two to two, and one of the competitors needed to be knocked on his or her ass to end this.

The final showdown was near cinematic levels of combat, more confident stories determining the young one to be the victor in the end. Yet, unlike Hollywood and other creators' whims, the true winner was not going to be the girl with a spring in her step. Grabbing @Solaria 's arm, and placing a free arm around the player's body, Odin ended up tripping her for the final knockdown. Gentle finale, of course. Stopping the drop from being a hard hit, the old man placed his good-natured foe on the ground, a chuckle escaping his throat again.

"Looks like Ah won this. Sorry darlin'," the Felis said, sitting himself on the ground with crossed legs, "But hell, Ah expected a fight, but not THAT close Ah was damn near thinkin' Ah was gonna be knocked on my ass again. Hope mah takedowns and such were held back 'nough fer yew. No point in havin' ya git hurt by mah stupidity." Dropping his bombastic expressions, a warmer smile crossed his cheeks, akin to one's grandfather soothing the pains of an upset grandchild.

((Hope you don't mind my railroading a bit. I'll change it if need be!))

  6. It was quite the battle to say the least- if battle was really the right word for this kind of game. She'd given it her all, and even if one was by pure luck for sure, she'd gotten two out of the five points gained from falls and failure alike. She was pretty pleased with herself, loser or not. It was closer than she ever expected to get.

"A close match is more fun than a won match anyway," She chimed as soon as she was on her feet from the last landing on the ground. "It'd be more fun if you don't go easy on me next time. Don't think I couldn't tell. You weren't serious at the start at all." With a wink, she held a hand out to grip onto her opponents if he'd accept it.

If not, she could just go with kendo tradition and bow- but where was the fun in that when they weren't doing kendo?

"I went in knowing it might get me hurt. I thank you for worrying about me, but... I'm confident in my ability to heal myself even if I do get harmed once or twice. Ever seen a drunk trying to fight off medicine? They can be frisky, to say the least. Sometimes I don't know if I'm dealing with a drunk or a wild animal."

Stretching herself to limber up after the workout, she waved to the man and hopped awkwardly over the ring's edge, regaining some of the supplies she'd set down to prepare for the fight. "This was a good breather. I feel a lot better about working now that I've gotten to move around. Thanks a lot, mister! Let me try again sometime!"

With a smile, she wandered off to return to her medical tent. She had some sleeping fellows she had to check on anyway, after all- and who knew if the kind @Odin Savage might send her some more patients not too far in the future?
