Our story begins, In a small village on a hill, nestled within a forest somewhere in Falderen. A tavern of non-descript at in the center of said village. While the sun lowered into the horizon the sounds of the night came alive. The sounds of crickets and the distant cries of howling wolves could be heard through out the evening skies. The tavern, simply known as "The Tavern" was a beacon of light and loudness as men and women merrily drank, swore, and complained within the shanty confines. Underneath the moonlit gloom walked a young woman dressed in a simple white tunic and skirt her crimson red hued hair trailed behind her smoothly in the wind. The dainty small woman walked with a surprising level of grace not known by the usual peasantry and riff raff. Making her way into the building she felt the change of temperature as the the nippy chill of the night melted away into warm, cozy warmth. 'Wow, this game really does pull all the stops!' She thought as her bright violet eyes widened at the level of detail this DVRMMORPG. Unfortunately she was so distracted by the game's beauty that she unknowingly tripped over a downed npc, currently groaning and squirming in pain. "A-Ah! Are you ok?!" She fretted as she knelt down and took out her Magical Tool while accessing her "Palm Menu" and activating her Illumancy. "W-Wha...? Bloody 'ell! My head'ache! It's gone!" The Tavern's volume dipped down into a low murmur which quickly made the Faerin feel embarrassed. 'Breathe Bonni! They're only npcs! ....Right?' She thought nervously fidgeting under the awe-inspired gazes of the several men and women staring at her. "By the Gods, it's magic!" "Amazing!" "I never seen dat 'efore..." "E-eh, is that little lady a Fae...?" "Shhhhh!" Breathing in through her nose she breathed out from her pale, pink lips, before opening her amethyst eyes scanning the crowded Tavern before calling up on her scrappy nature - speaking up hotly. "W-What? Haven't you seen a healer before?!" She stuttered defensively - her lack of height and fey-like features having the side effect of making her seem pouty and childish. The flushed cheeks and pronounced bottom lip probably didn't help with matters either.
The days had become somewhat longer and duller with the disbanding of the group he had hung around with, each going their individual ways as the game and life took them along separate paths. He had come back to Brisshal, to the place all adventurers began, in the hopes of perhaps finding some people to hang around with or even inspire a new work of art. But alas and alack there was no such luck, for his must had been lost in the woods and he had not stumbled upon her. No, not even after about seven beers had he found her! But he had found himself upstairs in a tavern bed sleeping off the ale while his player took a power nap. Upon awakening, he yawned and stretched and dressed himself in his finest... well, they were still more or less trash-tier clothes as he hadn't bothered affording anything more extravagant. Hopefully some armor would be in the making for him soon, but in the interim it was typical commoner garb and leather vestments. Throwing such on, he then equipped his two weapons to his sides and started out the door of his room, hearing a commotion below and outside. Was someone perhaps in trouble? He stepped rapidly down the stairs to inspect whatever was going on only to spot a woman healing a commoner NPC with her magic. Either she was a new town healer NPC he hadn't encountered, or she was a player passing through and was of the sweeter and gentler sort. Smiling, he looked around at the startled faces of the townsfolk who had so rarely seen such power wielded so generously on their behalf. He focused his eyes on the mage and used the Investigate tool, reading her name as it popped up. Ah, there she was, his muse had returned at last! Clearing his throat, he jumped over the stair railing and onto a table, then leapt from it to floor with a soft thud, raising his arms to draw maximum attention his way. Satisfied at the number of turned heads, he began to clap rhythmically for a moment to set the pace for his song, continuing to clap as his voice raised. "They know not where she comes from, They know not where she goes- All we know for certain is she helps out friend and foe. She's the gentlest of the mages, known for her noble feats. She's the healer known as Bonni! Bonnibel Sweet!" Smiling at a few townsfolk who took up the clapping, he freed his hands up and approached the door where Bonni and the man lay, grabbing him by the hands and hoisting him up off of the ground, patting the dust and dirt helpfully from his shirt. "Good sir, do you know your fortune? Good sir, do you know your wealth? To have stumbled upon the kindest mage, Concerned for care and health. She came into your town here and swept you off your feet! She's the healer known as Bonni! Bonnibel Sweet!" He tossed a wink at the girl who was most probably confused, terrified, and devastated... but hopefully amused none the less. And wording his song as he'd done, it colored perception so that nobody would think she had accidentally knocked him over- which is what the Admiral was left to assume, having not seen whatever took place. "I've known my share of fine and noble men; Of women just as well. Brave and virtuous adventuring folk who- would march right into hell, If it would mean a breath of peace For those that peaceful dwell. But each despite heroics has a cost for their good cause! For adventuring is expensive to survive such danger's maws... Yet there is one that stands apart, and isn't she real neat! She's the healer known as Bonni! Bonnibel Sweet. The soft and humble Bonni! Dressed in white sheets." By the end of the song most the people gathered were clapping in dull amusement and humming along, and when some started to produce coins to pay him he shook his head and gestured for them to put them all away, for his had not been a performance in search of their meager coin. Turning to the mage once more, he offered her a hand to help her up from the ground as well... Only to realize she was already standing, and just very short, at which point he shrugged and kept his hand there for her to shake. "My name is The Admiral, and it's a pleasure to meet the famous Bonni Sweet. So what brings you to this small village?"
She wasn't sure what exactly happened next. It was all so sudden that the fair maiden was unable to make a proper response. Then, the man who had appeared on top of one of the many besmirched tables - began to sing. 'Oh god, please don't-' She thought mortified as the tall, rugged, if not handsome older male began to regale a tale in song. This person was in no doubt a Player, he was far too animated, boisterous, and loud not to be one! Not only that, Bonni was pretty sure he had just investigated her status - hence how he already knew her name despite this being their first encounter. As the older man began to continue his riveting song about her supposed 'fame' she knew with certainty that this guy was a player! This realization didn't make it any less embarrassing for her however. While in real life she was a friendly and social person in public, she was actually quite different when alone. Add in the fact that she hadn't been in the limelight for a long while she was doubly shy. By the end of his tale her face was as red as her hair, bright red like a tomato or a fresh cherry! It took her a moment to register the man's presence as he held out his large, obviously masculine hand out to her much more petite and slender ones. A handshake? 'Ok, it's not hard to talk to someone! Just gotta get back into the swing of things! Like riding a bike...' Putting on a kind smile her cheeks still tinted with a faint pink hue Bonnibel accepted The Admiral's handshake. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Admiral! I did not realize I had such renown! For I am just a humble healer who rarely knows of the going-on's of the world." She decided to play along, roleplaying was fun and she didn't mind getting into character once and a while! "May I ask what your travels have shown you, Ser Bard?"
The man was careful with her smaller and more delicate hands as they shook with one another, smiling down at the girl as she introduced herself and had the intelligence or as least the good humor to get into the spirit of things. As she called herself a humble healer he glanced at the townsfolk and nodded, as if to reassure them that his song was indeed a work of non-fiction regarding her generosity, and that she was merely being sweet and modest about herself. His smile turned into an enormous grin as she asked about his travels, which was the first time anyone had done so on the game thus far. My, but how he had WAITED for this moment! Laughing lightly, he gestured in the vague direction of the sun and struck a loftily heroic pose, making sure that the light fell on him just right so that everyone could enjoy the spectacle of him. "My travels you say? Why, it would take a fortnight to even list all the adventures I've had... but I suppose I could humor you with a short summary. In song..." Spinning, the man suddenly revealed a hammer and a wooden club that most definitely was not made from a table's leg, tapping them upon a barrel nearby to create a basic beat for himself. "Let me tell a story; perhaps you've heard before! It's about a hero simply called The Ad-Mee-Rhuuul! Where did this fellow come from? Could be anybody's guess! But sit right down, gather 'round! And I'll tell you all the rest. Beyond the Adecus Forest, and down beneath the ground There is a city called Undercleft with wonders to astound! It sits upon an island, amidst an emerald sea! Upon whose waves rested the ships of The Admiral's fleet. His Flagship was Fair Maiden, for she was quite serene Until she and the fleet was sunk from something cruel beneath... Up from those emerald waters, with a touch vile with acid Rose the monstrous form of a beast far less than placid!" Pausing, he shrugged and stopped the story right there, putting his weapons away. "But the rest is a story for another day. And what of yourself, fair lady?"
