NPC Update

Greetings, so you may have seen info circulating around that members can no longer create NPC characters (i.e. characters who live in the world but are artificial intelligence). This is true.

We are in the process of phasing that character-type out altogether. The main reason behind this change is because these characters know more about the world than players are capable of knowing. As such, to avoid having to endlessly answer questions about information players shouldn't be able to know, we opted for a different route.

Minor reasons also include the desire to make members more unified in character-type, it is very difficult to do plot when you have to consider special scenarios for all kinds of characters, and frankly that time is better spent on other things, such better stories.

So, to avoid further complications, we have permanently disabled NPC as a character type. All characters from now on must be players accessing the game from our world.

But wait, what will happen to my NPC? Worry not, we have got you covered. For starter, you'll be able to completely remake your character at no charge to you. This remake will not get a tax (like the veteran rebirth). The other option allows you to merge the character's progress with an existing character. This will NOT happen until season 3, however, so feel free to keep RPing as them. Try your best to end their storyline by S3.
