  1. "Arr, shiver me timbers!" Alpha coughed, sand wheezing out of her lungs as she grabbed purchase on the wooden docks of Druuk Island's shore. The air was humid and that wasn't the best news for someone who was attempting to sail a ship. She looked over at her masterpiece: the culmination of several days of masterful ship-building, resource-gathering, sweat, and blood. Not her blood, of course, but she was certain that the souls of the victims she had robbed would be pleased to see that their sacrifices were not in vain. In fact, she had a necklace of teeth adorning the front jibboom of her water vessel. It was an honor for a part of them to accompany her on her future voyages, after all, and Alphabet Chocolate was not a particularly cruel or callous person to disregard their deaths and leave them at the barest edges of her murky memory. Charlie Chaplain, Maria Holt, and Arnold Schwarzenegger would forever sail as long as Alphabet Chocolate was the captain of the newly-baptized S.S. Kir'ree.

As she stood up on shaky, wobbly legs, she turned to face her unwitting captive. The man, one called Alric Stalwart, was currently lying face-down with his limbs tied behind him. The beach sand was a suitable gag for the man and, as Alpha dusted herself off, she took slow, careful steps to her captive. With a swift movement, she sliced through the ropes and knelt down to regard him with a goofy grin and expectant, shimmering eyes. "Hey there!"

Alpha reached into her back pocket, grabbing something of import into a tight, white-knuckled fist. One would wonder where someone could store an item in a petticoat of all things but, with her mishmash attire, that was the least concerning of all the things about her. Her sense of fashion, meanwhile, was gruesome to look at. It was an eye-bleeding sight: a tailored poet shirt and blouse, a red petticoat, a brown trench-coat over it, an eyepatch that was currently resting atop of her head (failing to obscure any of her eyes), and a pair of clown shoes. By her side was Hector who, despite his protests, did not look much better. His white mane had been dyed with an assortment of colors on the rainbow spectrum and a pair of sunglasses rested atop his alert ears.

Alpha did not feel a tinge of embarrassment as she crouched down, staring at Alric dead in the eyes with her affable smirk. "So, uh, what's your name? You look like an Edward or a Sebastian or a Brownie! Haha, that's an awesome name to have, isn't it? Brownie?" she grinned, giggling lightly to herself at the thought. "Well, until you give me a pretty good name to call you, your name will be Brownie! Okay, Brownie?"

She gave him a minute to answer before shrugging, completely disregarding his reaction to the new name whether it be positive or not. She extended an open arm and a sly wink to the handsome man. "Welcome to your new home! Name's Captain Alphabet Chocolate and you? You'll be my first mate!" she opened her arms wide before gesturing over to where her ship was docked, "that's my awesome ship! Wanna sail around the world with me? Oh, and before you can answer, don't forget that you don't really have a choice!"

Her warm welcome was something like a devil's contract.
