Private - Pizza Playdate

  1. Ava couldn't tell Luna any differently as to whether or not Italians "actually" made pizza. She knew most pizza joints seemed to have some noodles and such as an alternative, and some Italian places had pizza, which was why she assumed it was Italian. No one had really told her otherwise. "Yup! That's right as far as I know~" she chuckled to herself. "Who knows? I've never been outside the U.S. before."

Of course, Luna was insistent that Ava not spend all of her money to come visit her. She made regular money after all. But Ava technically got money too - she could spend money occasionally even though it was her dad's. She just had to not overdo it. "I mean, I guess if I need to," she shrugged. "But really it's just as good as buying a new game or something. Kinda like a dating sim~" she teased as she stuck out her tongue. "At least with the part where you interact with girls and such and do stuff with them."

  2. "N-n-neither have I. W-w-w-we usually just g-go somewhere in the U.S if we g-g-go on vacation at all..." Her family weren't huge vacation fans, but they sometimes went off to a more vacation-y state or city for the summer. Was vacation-y a word that existed? Probably not, but oh well. She giggled, reaching for another slice of their pizza and taking a small nibble out of it, humming. She was glad she'd been able to pick this place, though she hoped that Angel would pick their next location. That'd only be fair, after all.

Of course, it seemed Angel wasn't quite as adamant that Luna pay for the journeys than Luna herself was, equating it to buying a game, one of Luna's favorite genres of game along that. Luna blushed, all but burying her face in her pizza to hide her embarrassment "A-A-Angel!" She gasped, as if the girl had just said something particularly scandalous, covering her mouth with her hand before bursting into giggles. "I-I-I guess it is k-k-kinda like a d-dating sim, i-i-in a way. T-though wouldn't that make this t-t-the d-d-d-d-d-d-da...d-date?"

Though she'd worded it like she was following along with the joke, a large portion of Luna was genuinely curious and anxious to see if the girl was or could think of this afternoon dinner together as a date, or similar to one.

  3. The reaction Ava got from Luna was priceless, the way she whined out her character name and hid behind her pizza. It was just adorable! Angel was already bursting into giggles when Luna joined in, though she didn't really expect Luna to ask the question she did. It caused Ava to start fidgeting with her hair even more. "I mean, yeah this would usually be a date in one of those games," she admitted as she felt her cheeks heat up. Gah she really was acting as stereotypical as her dad had said, huh?

"But I mean, that requires actually asking a girl that kind of stuff first right...?" she pointed out quickly. "Otherwise it could lead to some really strange or awkward mix-ups, you know?" It would have been a date if someone had said so beforehand, for sure. But then she'd have probably changed into something a little nicer too, unless they agreed not to of course.

  4. She was at least glad that the girl recognized that this was definitely a date-like situation, considering how she felt that there was a certain amount of chemistry between the two of them building up slowly. But she did realize that neither of them had actually referred to this particular afternoon as a date, which meant it likely wouldn't count as much of a date in either of their eyes. Luna wasn't really the type to ask about things like that though, or openly try to pursue them.

"Y-y-yeah, i-i-it would require asking a-a-and j-just assuming w-w-w-w-w-would be rude, w-w-wouldn't it?" She tried to hide her disappointment behind a mouthful of pizza, smiling around it as much as she could bring herself to. She didn't want to just seem like she was pushing for something, especially since that might drive a sort of wedge between their quickly building friendship. That was the last thing she wanted.

  5. Ava bobbled her head in agreement. "Mostly because I bet the other person would like to know they were on a date," she played with her hair a bit more; she'd been referring to herself partially. She'd already expressed back on TS that she was open to being asked on one, but Luna hadn't acted on it so she wasn't worrying too much about it right now.

Or at least she hadn't been until Luna got strangely... insistent on it. Ava could be oblivious but she wasn't incapable of noticing things. "You didn't want this to be a date or something did you?" she asked. "Cause like, I dunno it seemed like we should meet first and stuff and bond and I'm having fun!" she giggled a little more nervously before stuffing pizza in her mouth as well. Maybe she'd said something strange but Luna had seemed maybe a little down for whatever reason.

  6. "Y-y-y-yeah, I-I'm s-s-sure they would..." She was also referring to herself, having done her best to hint at the fact that she wasn't against the idea of calling this a date at all, though she really didn't know how to approach the topic. She certainly wasn't brave enough to actually be the one to first call a meeting a date, that was nearly certain. Gosh, she'd be absolutely devastated if things didn't work out and she'd been the one to suggest they treat the afternoon like they were both on a date with each other!

Though Angel picked up on something and seemed to notice the disappointment that Luna had tried to hide. Why couldn't she pick up on the cause as well as the actual effect it had on her? Luna stuttered and mumbled, but found no words to describe whatever it was that she really wanted out of the afternoon. She swallowed nervously, before taking a larger bite out of her pizza slice and attempting to bury any concerns she had. Maybe if she changed the subject or avoided it, she didn't have to look stupid in front of her new friend?

    "S-s-s-s-s-s-so h-how was s-s-school today, A-A-Angel? D-d-did you l-learn anything interesting?"
It was one of the biggest things that they had in common that she could quickly latch onto, the fact that they were both in school. It was a good desperation topic, she supposed.

  7. Luna and Ava were on two sides of the same page or something. She continued chewing the pizza while she watched Luna blush and ask her about school, plainly ignoring the question Ava had asked out of concern for her. It wasn't like she'd refused a date, but they'd agreed they at least needed to both know it was one to count it right?

"Eh, school was boring, as usual." she shrugged and frowned for a moment. "It gets kind of tiring being made fun of for looking young," The girls in her PE class were especially bad. Mostly because of the locker room where the teachers didn't even pay attention.

She brightened back up though. "But I'm here with Luna now, which is soooo much better," she admitted. "You're a lot cuter than those stupid girls at school, and part of it is definitely because you're so nice."

  8. She was very much glad that Angel had accepted her shift in the conversation without any questions or even a strange look. The girl seemed to just accept that she wanted to move onto a different subject and allowed her to do so. It was such a nice quality of Angel, that she seemed so capable of reading what it was a person wanted or needed her to do, one that spared Luna quite a bit of embarrassment.

She did remember that Angel had told her that she didn't like school all that much, just as Angel mentioned school having been as boring as it usually was. Of course, how could she have forgotten? Even she had her own issues in the changing rooms during gym class, since she was one of the younger members of her class and clearly had a rather young looking body as well. She kept hoping for a growth spurt that just seemed like it would never ever come.

"I-I-I'm sure t-t-they'll s-stop eventually. M-m-most people s-say things like that to m-mask their own insecurities..." She smiled, taking a smaller nibble of her pizza slice, giggling to herself. "I-I'm s-s-sure they just feel t-threatened b-by how g-good you look c-c-compared to them..."

  9. "Yeah, I know." Ava shrugged. She wasn't that concerned with the teasing or anything. It was just annoying when it happened. She actually dealt with it rather well overall. At least in her own opinion. Apparently it wasn't well enough to make them stop just yet though.

Her eyes popped open wider after a couple of seconds. "I mean, I know I'm cute but I'm not one of the really pretty popular girls..." she'd been more popular at her old school, but her old school was a lot smaller and in a much smaller city. She was glad she still had more soda to finish off though; It gave her something to multitask with.

"Surely I'm not as good as Angel at least?" she pointed out. "I mean, I like Eva way better than Luna even though Luna is totally cute too, in a big mature adult kind of way. and uh..." she just paused and sat down her drink, which she was presently staring at. "I guess its hard to tell because I'm obviously not attracted to me like I am other girls..." she trailed off. "Not like, say, you for example."

  10. She hadn't really intended to imply that she thought Ava would be one of the popular girls in her school, since she really didn't fit that sort of bill anyway. No, she wasn't that sort of pretty, but it didn't matter either way. Everything in life came down to personal preference anyway and she liked Angel and Ava the was she was, in both forms. Though, she was glad to see that the teasing didn't get underneath Angel's skin too much, considering how much she'd once let it get under her own. For the longest while she'd refused to not wear a thick winter coat over her uniform even in summer, just to hide as much of herself from view as she possibly could.

She frowned slightly at her empty glass, wishing that she didn't manage to drain soft drinks quite so quickly, though she really had nobody to blame but herself. All she could really do was keep eating the pizza, which was honestly fine with herself. It wouldn't be too long before they finished it anyway.

And then Angel admitted something, or at least she seemed to. Luna was honestly confused as to whether Angel was admitting that she found Luna attractive, or that she knew that Luna found Angel attractive? It was a bit of a slippery slope to walk, really, though that didn't stop the blush from spreading across her face as she nodded guiltily. "I-I-I um, d-d-don't r-r-really prefer A-Angel t-to A-Ava or v-v-vice v-versa. Y-you're b-b-both j-j-just Angel to me..." Gosh, how did she respond to the other thing? Maybe just ignoring that it'd been said would work? That is, if Angel didn't bring it up more.

  11. Was it a good thing or a bad thing that Ava and Angel were the same to Luna? Ava didn't quite know. Her heart was in her throat after a comment like that, and she wasn't sure what she'd hoped for or expected, if she was honest. She'd sensed some tension rising between though though, and wondered if it was because of their kind of unconventional relationship they'd had so far on TS.

"Well I'm glad Angel's not so pretty she detracts from Ava~" she giggled, her tone as chipper as ever. "Especially from someone I know who appreciates girls in a similar way I do." Was it weird to word it like that? Probably. Ah well, there was no taking it back now. Apparently she'd decided to just go all-in with her admission.

Her brain very briefly jumped to their last meeting on TS and it caused her to blush again. This was a very confusing meeting. It was totally awkward but also fun. But she couldn't help but wonder if Luna had wanted today to be a date or something, the way she had been talking before she ignored her question..

  12. "O-o-of course she's n-not! A-Ava is a r-r-r-r-r-really pretty girl herself!" If anything it was Luna who had to be worried that her online self was far more attractive than her real life body would ever end up being, with absolutely no way of ever changing that fact. How did she reconcile herself with having both the form of Luna, who was a well developed young woman and the form of Eva, who was a young teenager who was barely beginning to develop properly and would likely always be on the smaller, shorter side?

And yes, it had been a pretty strange way to phrase what she was trying to say, but Luna had managed to understand what Angel meant by it, though she couldn't stop the small blush that slid onto her face alongside the small smile she wore. "I-I-I honestly t-think that b-both bodies are v-very pretty in d-different, yet somewhat similar ways." There were a few subtle similarities between Angel and Ava, not including personality.

"B-besides, y-y-y-your personality is o-o-one of the most a-attractive qualities you c-can have. A-and you have a r-really nice personality..." She admitted quietly, before taking a break to quickly finish off her second slice and grab a third. "A-a-at least, I-I t-think you do..."

  13. Ava had picked up her glass to take one last drink before she ran out again, but promptly choked on it when Luna turned up the flirting. She'd never been called pretty this much before in her life, even by like, her grandmother. But then she called all of her grandchildren pretty. It was like a grandparent thing or something.

The girl glanced around at the rest of the pizza joint, which wasn't very full since it was just after school and most adults were still at work. She wasn't really even sure how to proceed at the moment. All this maybe flirting maybe just being nice was confusing her brain. If Luna was trying to get on Ava's good side, it was working for sure. Especially after a day like today at school.

"Same to you," she mumbled. "And shy girls are just extra cute..." she admitted at the table in front of her. It might be a mysterious factor or something. She really wasn't sure. But she thought it was true. Luna would probably stop being as shy with her relatively soon but that didn't change her opinion. Actually it'd be kind of special to be close to someone who was afraid of talking to people or whatever.

  14. Watching Angel's reaction to what she'd admitted, Luna couldn't help but feel like she might've done something wrong or weird that she shouldn't have. Had she said too much for the stage of friendship that they were at? She gulped, glancing down at the table as her blush grew in intensity, looking around the pizza parlor as she caught Angel doing the same out of the corner of her eye. Why was the other girl looking to see if there were other people about? Was she embarrassed to be seen with her?

Luna shifted awkwardly in her seat, idly nibbling at the slice of pizza that she was holding as she desperately wracked her brain for something to say to the other, slightly older girl. She couldn't and wouldn't take back the compliments that she'd given to the girl, but things had taken an awkward turn once they'd gotten into this topic. Maybe she needed to steer the topic as far away as she possibly could?

And it turned out that Angel even found her shyness to be something that added onto her cuteness, which was honestly a kind've odd feeling for Luna. How did you react when you found out that somebody liked what you thought was your worst quality? "U-u-u-umm, t-t-thank you. S-s-s-so, d-d-do you h-h-have any o-other hobbies? M-m-maybe drawing or m-music?"

  15. "I listen to music," Ava seemed to kind of pop out of some inner thoughts she was having when Luna finally spoke up. "I mean, I used to want to be like, a singer, but I've never sat down and practiced. I like to think I sound pretty good for an amateur though." she adopted a tiny grin. "I could show you sometime~ I don't mind singing. I mean, for like, you." she shrugged.

She was trying really hard but it wasn't working very well. Her brown eyes were wide with a combination of curiosity and uncertainty. "I'm making this really weird..." she breathed out at last. "Sorry Luna, I um," she scratched her nose uncertainly, "Since we're like, the same age and stuff, and other maybe obvious reasons I'm thinking way too hard about the fact that you're a cute girl," she admitted in an apologetic tone. "And I like girls and that fact's still new to me, but you know and I know you know and uhm..." she wasn't even sure where she was going with this. "I'll just shut up now. I'm having fun, I just don't want to ruin our friendship by being overly weird..." she puffed out her cheeks and started 'drinking' out of her obviously empty (aside from ice) glass again.
