  1. Okay, one surprise coming right up.

She offered a thumb up to Luna as she went over to what would be considered the start of the line. Similar to human establishments, the Undead had set up a queue of sorts, but there was currently no one standing in it. So, similar to human establishments, Ezra plodded along through the line, her fingers tracing over the worn rope that made the line visible.

Coming up to the counter, she gave a small smile to the cook.

“What can I get you today?” the cook asked, flipping long silver-blond locks over one shoulder.

Ah, well, do you have anything fit for, ah, non-undead consumption?

“Oh, does the Dark Lady have guests? You’re usually not the one that comes to get it.”

Ah, no, that’s…no. Ezra gave a chuckle and a quick shake of her head. Just, uhm, a quick bite to eat with my…uh…girlfriend. The blue woman had the decency to blush.

Meanwhile, the undead cook blinked luminous teal eyes and peeked around Ezra’s shoulder, taking in the lack of pulses in the room before zeroing in on the white-haired mage sitting at the table in the far corner.

    “Her?”

Ezra glanced over her should and then turned back to the cook, her spine a little straighter and her eyes a little more focused than before. The blush that had stained her cheeks was now missing. Yes, her, the knight replied in a crisp tone. Problem?

“Not at all,” the woman quickly replied with a shrug of her shoulders. “You love who you love. I get something together for the pair of you.”

Ezra gave a nod and stepped back, her arms folding across her chest as she waited for the food to be done. About twenty minutes later, a try full of different dishes with sterling silver tops was given to her along with a wink from the book. The smells wafting from it made the Death Knight’s mouth water and she offered a full smile in return.

    Thank you.

    “No problem. Bon appetite.”

Returning to the table, Ezra slid the trade atop it and scooted in across from Luna, her eyes excited.

Apparently, we got the royal treatment. This is the same food Lucia gives her guests…whoever they may be. Ezra chuckled and grabbed for a fork and knife. It smells pretty good, but I have no clue what’s underneath these tops. So, a surprise for me as well, I guess.
